View Full Version : What kind of lubricant do you use?

I am super picky about lube--hence why I've posted like 5 times in this thread. :-) It needs to be glycerin and paraben free, water-based, won't get sticky, won't pill up (this is the worst!), doesn't get stringy, thick enough with enough "cushion" between surfaces. Very few lubes meet even the first 3 criteria. So far, I have yet to find anything I like for both vaginal and anal use so I have to have 2 different kinds on hand. I love coconut oil, just not in my vagina. But it's perfect for anal because it comes in a solid, I can just shove a wad up there and it melts quickly (how's that for TMI?).
I've never used the regular line of Sliquid, I'd read some reviews that said it didn't last very long and was too thin or something. I think I mentioned it before but I love Ride! Dude Lube by Sliquid. It's marketed to gay men for anal as an all natural, water-based lube. i still prefer coconut oil for anal but this "Dude Lube" is awesome for vaginal with toys or real life people. And it's all natural like all of Sliquid's products.
The major drug store brands of lube are jumping on the natural bandwagon I was able to find a couple different water based lubes that were paraben and glycerin free. LifeStyles Naturals, KY Sensitive Jelly, KY Ultragel (it's similar in ingredients to the KY Sensitive jelly but it's a much thinner consistency.)

Not at all, that sounds amazing. I might look for this coconut oil business. xx

This post reminded me that I needed to resupply on lube (I haven't had many privates get far enough for me to need any) so while I was at wal-mart I grab some KY Jelly (original) for $2.85 + I had a $3 off coupon so I got it free and I went ahead and pick up the equate brand to give it a whirl. Two lubes for under $2, woohoo!!

One guy told me it turns him off cause it means I'm not wet and into it.
He's a moron. It's unrealistic for these guys to think we're ALWAYS wet. Some of them like to ask in public chat "Are you wet, bb?" LOL.

Ok so I am going to be getting some coconut oil for lube but wondering if you ladies put it on your toys before you go on cam or if you put
it in a cute container? Or do u just bust out the huge container that it comes in??

Hi Charise, I use durex lub, I don't put it on my toys before the show because usually I do a blow job to the toy and I don't want to lick the lub lol
I put it on the toy during the show ( I try to hide when i am putting it) I've seen a video on youtube of someone that was filling no touch detol dispencer with lub, I think that it is a good idea( sorry i can't find the video) but you can see the dispencer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcu7jO_psDY

I have no idea.. which is why i'm currently using the tub as a stand for one of my webcams and putting my regular store bought lube on my toys haha. Oh and whoever said it was good for hair - WTF??? It makes it greasy as hell, had to rewash mine afterwards. Not sold on coconut oil as lube at all lol.

Coconut oil? Really? Please use actual lube. :/ Oil is not good, neither for your private parts or your toys! You need to use water based lube for all toys (except latex ones, which need silicone lube, and it doesn't really matter for glass or steel), other kinds of lube (or, in this case, not-lube) can easily damage the toy making it easier for you to get an infection from it.
As to using lube for shows.. I've not yet actually used it, surprisingly. But if it did come to needing it, I'd probably put some on my hands off cam and use that way to transfer it onto the toy? Not sure, I don't think most guys would mind it that much. Or I'd hope they'd have enough experience masturbating to know everything's better with lube! :P

LOL Watch how you critique coconut oil on here girls. Coconut oil has long been touted as the ultimate standard in lube here on camming connection and it has a lot of very vocal devotees. There are tons of threads specifically about coconut oil and you can find all the information you want on it in there.
I use it and I like it just fine. I've found that when you're camming for any length of time and you're very busy other lube will get sticky on you after repeated applications. The oil works fine with all kinds of toys and rubs into my skin instead of leaving a sticky film. Plus, since it's solid at room temperature you can put a little wad of it up in there (how elegantly spoken) and you don't have to worry about reapplying all the time.
As far as how I package it, I just have a bottle I recycled from other lube. Any kind of squeeze or pump bottle will do.

I used normal lube and it gave me a yeast infection!! I actually have been using cocoa butter w/ vit e in it and think that it is a better substitute then reg lube but probably not the best thing to shove up my pussy lol. but i am definitely getting coconut oil, for one its natural. . . need I say more. . .

Really? I work in a sex shop and everyone there agrees any kind of oil can easily be harmful for toys, and your pussy. I know lots of people get away with using other substitutes without any problems, but that really doesn't go for everyone, and you should always be careful what you use with toys. Also some lube will get sticky but good lube won't.. ID and Wet I find are good, non-sticky types.
Charise, what kind of lube were you using? Have you tried hypoallergenic lube?

Unlike other oils, coconut oil is supposed to have anti-fungal and antibacterial properties which is why it's supposed to be suitable as lube. I am super infection prone and found that coconut oil didn't work for me. Every speck of lint and cat hair on my bed would stick to me and my toys whenever I used the coconut oil too. I think that in itself could have been why I had problems using it.

OMG! To BrownFox I think....I can't count how many guys ask if I am wet in a 3 hour period. WTF! Are we turned on to talk to complete strangers that are as tight as Dick's hatband? Bahahahaha! I have been using the absolute cheapest lube. Equate brand of jelly lubricant for vag and anal. It actually works well for both for me, it's so cheap too, like $2 for a tube. God knows I use alot of it. Work smarter, not harder.

I used to hide applying my lube but I discovered that some guys really enjoy watching me slowly lube a butt plug and my ass. It does add to the paid minutes .......
Some porn sites now show models using lube as well. Anyway, do guys think we are really continually wet??
