I agree Aurora.

I am not one of those people to "bash" just one type of person. I don't like to say that I am bashing something, but more or less I personally don't agree with the choice but as others have stated, I don't have to agree, and I already know that.

My real personal pet peeve more than anything else....is SMOKING. But I have personal reasons for that. Well not so personal that I can't share. But mainly because

1) It gives me a headache, and it makes me smell when I am around smokers

2) I don't want my kids around smokers

3) Last but not least, my GRANDPARENTS whom I both adore, and miss like crazy passed away fairly recently. My Grandmother passed to emphysema, and COPD, and my Grandfather to Lung Cancer. I had to watch them both suffer until there last day on earth. It was heart wrenching, and I hate what smoking does to people, and I hate what it did to the people I love more than anything in the world.

I don't hate people who smoke, but I hate that people choose to do it to themselves, knowing all of the risks with illnesses.

I would say for me personally, smoking will always bother me more than anything else out there. The second thing would probably be painkiller addicts. I have a close relative who was addicted to Oxycotin, and I had to have her baker acted twice. Today she is clean and sober, thank god. But she still SMOKES. Go figure. But again that would be on my personal list of things I hate, more so than Obesity, but I guess it has to also do with the fact that those things have PERSONALLY affected me and made me aware of the dangers.

I have to agree with this. Everyone has their opinions on "fat" or overweight or obese people. But I'm finding it a little ridiculous hearing these claims that people only bash on fat people but don't care about smokers or anorexics or anyone else that's doing something physically unhealthy. Since when are smokers not bashed or harassed when they're off smoking, minding their own business? Since when do people not make fun of the "skinny anorexic bitch," even if she's not actually anorexic, or whisper malicious gossip behind the backs of those who are? I would argue that society in general makes fun of/harasses/puts down the unhealthy habits of all these groups just as much as the next. Of course, anyone in any of these groups feels more stigmatized than the others... but I honestly think they all get attacked and get attacked pretty badly. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, or what deserves to be attacked and what doesn't, or what people's motives are behind any of it (if they're actually concerned or just on a moral high horse) - but let's not pretend that society really condones any type of unhealthy behavior over another. Like I think someone else said, when a person is overweight, you can see it - you know it just by looking. That may not be the case for a smoker, alcoholic, drug addict; you may not be able to see an anorexic's innards shutting down, which is why it may be that these people don't get attacked face-to-face as much. But if you could tell immediately upon looking at someone - I think these groups would be getting bashed just as much.

Im eating the wrong foods when i pig out - i never get aroused - only sleepy- -- the lady on dr oz had a goal of reaching 1000 lbs
That is sad and a death sentence.

Odd how Dr Phil is promoting this when I would expect it to be someone with less class....JERRY SPRINGER tries to help people. He has had them air lifted to hospitals. GO JERRY! MY MAN!

This bothers me. People can come in my chats and bash all they want about xy and friggin z but this will not be me. The abuse alone is not cool. BBW is a term that has been taken out of control. These women are obv OBESE not BBW..Im a BBW.

sooooo much ableism i just can't even.

and again...not your business what fat people eat and how much we exercise.
yep...we do work out eat healthy etc. I do marathons and play many extreme sports. Its fuuny when I line4 up to a 120 lb 6ft chica for a marathon and she wiped out 2 miles ago waiting for ambulance and Im still going.
Im not going to blame genes bc it has been proven different in my world. So many say its a family trait. NOPE. Its the individual. I dont work as hard at it such as get up at 5 am to go running~fuck that. I go to the gym when I please and do eat healthy.

I wish this would not be a bash on any model but a eye opener for some.

Obese women ARE BBWs *wiki* "Big Beautiful Woman" (commonly abbreviated as BBW) is a term most frequently used in the context of, affirmation of or sexual attraction to overweight or obese women.[1][2] The terms "Big Beautiful Women" and "BBW" were coined by Carole Shaw in 1979, when she launched BBW Magazine, a fashion and lifestyle magazine for "plus-size" women.[3]..

400lbs would be Super Sized BBW

Many nights I tried breaking into the pantry with salad tongs

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, I totally agree that YOU should feel HAPPY with your weight. If someone isn't happy with their weight, they should change it, but also be realistic. I'll never look like a runway model, and until someone chops off my hips and cuts the meat out of my thighs, its not going to happen. Luckily I don't want to look like that. I'd rather look like CoCo than a runway model.

ANYWAY, these women are obviously HAPPY with their weight! They are healthy with their lifestyle choices, and they have the resources to change things how ever they please. That's all that matters.

I agree! I'm allergic to it and also highly sensitive to toxins. So I get PISSED when someone smokes around me and the smoke comes flying in my face. So gross. Thanks for making my throat close up and making my body feel like its trying to fight off an illness for the rest of the day. I don't care what people do to destroy their own body, but don't destroy mine!!!!!!!! I'm sure they'd love it if I was obsessed with spraying formaldehyde or aluminum everywhere I go and having those chemicals fly in their face::)

I feel like I'm going to get murdered posting on this being i am skinny/petite a whole 95 lbs I'll put it out there I'm naturally skinny. I was BORN this way just like many other women whom have slower metabolisms/thyroid problems, somethings are out of our control naturally. Yes I personally couldn't imagine myself 400lbs+ that is scary for me. I totally see what Sam meant by posting this; I think this was quite an interesting thread to read.

PS: I see everyone's point of views stated because everyone is allowed to their own opinion & shouldn't be ripped apart for stating how they feel. There's no point in arguing though because it won't magically change their views. Just my opinion.

Not getting into the debate part of this but I will say that everyone should be the size they want as long as they are happy. Would I want to be that big? No. But I do not know someone else's situation or level of happiness. We can't assume that "fat" people are unhappy or that "skinny" people are happy (or healthy/unhealthy).

I would also like to add that the BMI scale is BS. According to that I am "obese" though no one looking at me would say that. Every body is built different.

this kind of reminds me of men who have vore fettishes (they are comics where someone gets eaten)
i know its not the same thing was watching someone eat. but men love watching things get eaten and swallowed... kinda weird i guess

I'm not skinny, but I'm not a "full fledged" BBW by the fetishes standards. (I'm considered a 'plumper/thick' by those in the scene.) I can however relate to the ladies on the show given that one of my features that will probably make me a shit ton of money in the near future is a feature that I hate the most about my physical appearance (mid section for the sake of clarity).

I will probably end up parlaying the money my tummy makes into a tummy tuck at some point in the future. However, by conforming to societal norms, I'm giving up 'a shit ton of money.' It's a point of conflict. Do you do what you feel is right (for whatever reason) or do you cripple a portion of your "career?" Only the person in that position can make that decision. I've made my decision, the ladies on the show made theirs, and that's really all that can be said about it, other than being smart/safe.

As far as surgery goes, there's a lot of procedures that are considered "cosmetic" that are either life saving or life changing that aren't covered by health insurance. (You know the air force wouldn't let people fly who wore glasses, even those who had lasik.) There's a HUGE mortality rate associated with ANY type of weight loss surgery REGARDLESS of size. A skinny chick getting a boob job can die on an operating table just as easily as a fat person.

I HATE Dr. Drew for many reasons, one being he thinks he knows it all about everything. One night I was driving home and was listening to his radio show when a caller talked about her boyfriend who wanted her to vomit on him while having sex. He goes on about how her boyfriend might have been feeling sick and wanted to share that, stuff stupid like that. So I call in, Mistress Cinnamonbrandy, and get through and try to educate him about Roman Showers and he cuts me off and says that's not what she was saying, when it was exactly what she was describing and that he simply has a fetish, and was cut off. Dr. Drew apparently is not interested in learning anything new to his supposed vast knowledge.

But I will say, when I was working as an independent professional dominatrix, the men liked me better when I was 200 pounds on my five foot one body than when I lost 50 pounds. Seems they like me when I really looked like I could physically discipline them! So, fetish-wise, bigger is better, men don't go for skinny bitch dommes, for the most part.

I agree with all those on here that eating less doesn't necessarily guarantee weight loss-hormone issues and such. My best friend, who I stay with for whole weekends, has commented on how I hardly eat a thing-true-yet I am 50 pounds overweight. Fat rolls and all, on 1000-1500 calories a day, sometimes less (now that I'm fasting, this doesn't apply right now). Yet, my blood pressure/cholesterol/general health is just fine. Medically doesn't make sense, and seems I'm just supposed to be this weight and maybe that's true, but I don't like the look of fat rolls, ergo the fasting. I swear though, I could eat a huge amount of food for days on end, and then eat hardly anything for days on end and the scale never moved, like it wants to just keep me at 160.
