I love my BCC950. It's so much more convenient being able to move the cam around without having to get up to do it. I can change the angle without leaving my position or 'ruining the mood' for the guys

:)

It's a great cam.. I love it! It's a crisp image and the focus is really nice (always auto focusing the proper way). I have bad skin and it's flattering on my skin. The only negative thing I would have to say (and it would be nit picking at this point) is it makes a faint clicking (?) sound when the eye turns. Not a big deal unless you are constantly messing around with the rotation feature.

There are a few review videos on YouTube about the cam... This one is pretty helpful.

Wondering if there is a good webcam that zooms in and moves around with a remote or keys on a keyboard? Or would buying a security camera work or a rebel t3i camera I have?

If you want an average quality one, that has a remote control, the Logitech BCC950 is the choice. The problem is that the zoom is not the best, is pretty pixelated.
The next great choice, that has a clear stream and a clear zoom is the Logitech Brio 4k. But it doesn't have a remote controller, you will have to zoom, tilt and pan with the mouse, from the webcam's software.

If you want an expensive version, wich has everything you need: clear zoom and remote controller, you can choose the Logitech Ptz Pro, Ptz Pro 2, CC3000E, Logitech group.

Hope it helps.

Since you already have a Rebel, I just wanted to mention that the Canon Rebel streams flawlessly and clear.
My Canon was just sitting in a box for a long time, after I upgraded my personal filming camera. I just recently decided a few weeks ago to finally stream with it, instead of selling it.

It's absolute perfect! I will probably never go back to a Logi webcam. The quality is perfect and my customers have even been mentioning the difference in my stream lately.

You just need the virtual caption/caption card, software, and an AC adapter. The remotes are affordable if you want to zoom with it.

I am seriously sick of Logitech, sorry.

The Canon seems pricey for me right now..

Would this one be good?

I was bored to shreds with Logi also. I'm not sure if you can get a remote for the one you linked. Canons are all over Ebay for cheap. Any brand of DSLR camera will do the trick, as long as it has the option for the remote for zooming. A DSLR has a more professional picture quality, and has the potential to last years, so it is a great investment. Logitechs seem to wear out after several months, so investing in something better quality would be the best bang for your buck. + if you want a good quality camera to film clips with too.

I mean, I am only interested in it because it comes with a remote control. It seems like it would be useful for zooming in onto specific body parts, etc.

How is it in terms of picture/video quality as compared to the c920, which seems to be the standard cam of choice for many? I owned the c920. The quality looked pretty crisp. My only issue was how washed out I could look on camera. It seemed like even with a deep spray tan, I just could not get myself to not look washed out.

Either I had to just deal with the colors being dull on camera, or I could adjust the colors to be darker, but then I would look orange lol.

Does anyone have experience with the Logitech conference cam? It is worth the almost $200??

What other webcams do you recommend? As I said, the picture quality of the c920 looked good. I just didn't like how pale everything looked on it. I also really like the idea of a webcam that comes with a remote.

Both cams provide the same in terms of quality I believe. They both provide 1080p. Does owning a cam with a remote justify paying $110 more??

Honestly, I find both outdated.
I even have a Brio 4k and also find it already boring :)) I am so obsessed with quality :)) Right now I have my eyes laid on a Logitech Rally or a Logitech PTZ Pro 2.

Now, if those mentioned are way out of your budget, I'd say that the BCC (I guess that's the one you're talking about), it's just fine. It's better than the C920.
It's actually considered to be a C930e with remote control.

I am all pro remote control, that's why I also want to upgrade my webcam and those I was talking about are the only ones that can provide this. Unfortunately, there's no remote control webcam like the Logitech Brio4k quality, within that price range, so I gotta go higher.
The good thing about it, is that we are making the money back immediately.
When it comes about money making tools, no amount is unjustified, especially when we are talking about the main tool, that you broadcast with.

Thank you for your advice. I am going to have a look at the other webcams you mentioned as well. I agree that paying for a high quality camera can be worth it, as it can make our cam appearance look better, thus attracting more people. :)

Over the years I've tried the c920, BCC950, Logitech Pro Ptz (which is the same as the PTZ PRO 2) and Brio 4k. There were little things that I didn't like about the BCC950, Logitech Pro Ptz and Brio 4k which made me return them and stick with the c920 (but I'm also picky as shit when it comes to camera's and equipment in general). The BCC950 imo is worth the price but so are the other Logitech's that were mentioned. Is the BCC950 the best choice for a remote webcam? For one its dated like Cutie101 said. Currently all camsites frame rate is at 30fps, the BCC950 only goes up to 30fps which means if camsites go up to 60fps the BCC950 becomes useless. The quality isn't all that great, it says its HD but imo its not as good as the c920. The quality on the PTZ Pro is better than the BCC950.

The main reason why I returned the BCC950 and Pro PTZ was due to how they zoomed, panned and tilted. Those functions are the same on both cameras, they're jumper and not smooth which u can see in the video I posted below. Out of all the webcams Brio has the best quality. Here's the official thread on Brio (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?215230-Logitech-4K-Webcam).

Whichever Logitech camera you choose you're going to have to adjust the settings to get the perfect image. How to Soften Your Webcam // Stop Looking Washed Out W/ White Light (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?208807-How-to-Soften-Your-Webcam-Stop-Looking-Washed-Out-W-White-Light-FOR-C920) is a great thread that explains how to get the best image out of Logitech settings no matter which Logitech camera you choose. Also lighting plays a huge part in how good your camera quality looks. All About Lighting (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?183318-All-About-Lighting) is a great thread about lighting.

BCC950 and Logitech Pro Ptz aren't the only remote camera's with ptz however they're the best usb ptz webcams, the cheapest options and easiest to use. When it comes to ptz camera's I personally prefer ptz security camera's. The ptz function on them are alot smoother, the image quality is higher and the customization for the image settings is more in depth and you're able to save those settings (i.e. you can save white balance, brightness, exposure, gain as a preset which means you don't have to constantly adjust your settings every time you turn on the camera). Thing is though using a security camera as a webcam is expensive and is a bit of a learning curve. In order to use it as a webcam you need the security camera, a capture card and a microphone and then you have to figure out how to set it all up.

If I were looking for a webcam with a remote and quality was my main concern I wouldn't bother with the BCC950. I'd keep using the c920 and save up for the Logitech Pro Ptz 1 or 2 or the Rally Camera (didn't even know that they came out with another ptz camera). The Logitech Meetup Conferencecam has ptz and is suppose to be 4k but judging from the Youtube videos the quality imo doesn't look that much better than the Logitech Pro Ptz. After checking out the Rally the quality def looks better than the Logitech Pro Ptz 1/2. Seems like the Rally is the Logitech Pro Ptz meets the Logitech Meetup Conferencecam. The PTZ also seems to have improved alot. Hmmm may have to try it out. Anyways if all I wanted was a better quality webcam I'd go with the Brio. If I wanted a ptz camera that had great camera quality and great ptz I'd go with the Sony Evi Hd1 with remote, magewell sdi capture card and would use the c920 as a mic. If I wanted absolutely amazing quality and didn't absolutely need remote control ptz I'd go with a video camera or dslr and pair with with the Magewell sdi capture card or Magewell hdmi capture card (depends on what the input is on the camera). When it comes to wanting the best quality your live stream, you generally have to pay more (I tend to see it as an investment).

Here a some videos that will give you an idea of the quality you'd get from the Logitech cam's.

Note: the CC3000e is the Logitech Pro Ptz its just the conference room/business bundle.

So I have had the C930e, the C920s, and the BCC950. The microphone on the BCC is so good that I use it while I stream and make videos with the C920s. I don't like how I have to have the camera positioned with the BCC and I dont like the remote. Thats why I don't just use the BCC. The picture quality is really good though! The C930e was terrible quality compared to the C920s. I don't know why that is, but don't even bother with the C930e.

Update.
I just bought the Logitech PTZ Pro 2. Now I can make a comparison between those two.

Brio 4k has a feature called RightLight, that makes my face flawless and slimmer, smooth and perfect, no blemishes or flaws and my eyes are popping, image being quite clear. Of course, this is a curse if you want to move, or wear dark clothes (or a too dark background shouldn't be paired with too dark clothes), because you look yellow and you have no option to adjust the exposure. So, if you stream with your face only and don't show much of your body and also don't have much space for lights then Brio is the one for you (u just need an umbrella with 2 lights and a small desk ringlight).

Logitech Ptz Pro2 is the best one for you, if you plan to show your entire body. The zoom is... how could I call it... PERFECT (because it's optical, not digital). Perfectly clear, if you zoom 10X you can't tell, the image is that sharp clear.
The colors reproduced are matching 80% of the reality. For example, with Brio, my royal blue bed looks dark navy blue on cam, while on PTZ Pro 2 looks almost identical, maybe 1 shade brighter.
The problem is that it shows the face blemishes (maybe i didn't use enough lights to test it well), but my face looks dull, eyes not popping, actually looks like in reality and i don't wanna look like that on cam cuz i am a frustrated low esteemed bitchz :))))
It's a perfect cam if you plan to show your entire body, because it doesn't really show cellulite if you have good lights. this webcam is eating a shit ton of light, but it's wow.
Unfortunately, is not what I want, so I will return it and buy a Logitech Rally 4k, because... I'm gonna say below.

If there would be a webcam that makes my face flawless like Brio 4K, but has the other features of Logitech Ptz Pro 2, then... damn, I'd be blessed.
In fact, I only need a Logitech Ptz Pro 2 that has that RightLight 3 sensor (only Brio has it, On C930 and C920 there is RightLight2 technology) it would be PERFECT.

Wich means, I have my eyes laid on The Logitech Rally 4k, wich comes with this technology. I didn't notice that untill I got the Ptz Pro 2 and realised why I like the Brio so much. Because of that freakin thing.

So, The C930e has AutoLight correction system called RightLight™ 2
The Brio 4k has the system called RightLight™ 3 with HDR
The Logitech Rally 4k has the system called Logitech RightLight™ technology with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) - wich PTZ Pro2 doesn't have it.
Quoting from the description of Logitech Rally 4k "Logitech RightLight™ technology with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) prioritizes faces over objects and surfaces, optimizes light balance, and fine-tunes color and saturation for natural results across all skin tones. The result is a balanced image that renders participants in flattering light with reduced glare and softer shadows, even in dim or backlit conditions." Source: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/rally-ultra-hd-ptz-camera?crid=1689#footnotes

I will buy the Rally and test it and come back with impressions.

sorry i know this thread is really old but im on the hunt for a new webcam.
i recently bought the elgato facecam and the brio, i hated the facecam, too much widescreen (i really dont want the guys having my full room in view) so i returned it but kept the brio.

i am lovinggggg the brio quality, but i really want a remote, so considering buying the ptz pro 2, can i ask if you ended up keeping the ptz pro 2? or did you exchange it for the rally? or did you keep the brio lol.

i can pick up a second hand ptz pro 2 for a around £450 on ebay, the rally is double :/.

Hi, I kept the Brio. The colors on PTZ or Rally are kinda washed out and they don't make the face pretty like the Brio. Weird, considering they are more expensive. I need a remote too, but I am still waiting, since i didn't like the PTZ pro 2 at all...
but it's all about the preferences and personal taste, so maybe what looks good to me, looks bad to you, and so on. But the brio does have that rightlight thing that makes the face all bright and pretty, eyes popping and skin smooth. Which ptz doesn't ugh...

thanks so much for getting back to me! yeah thats why i love the brio too, its super sharp still but has an inbuilt airbrush thing that makes my skin look smooth and flawless (which it isnt in real life)

the elgato was too good quality almost, it showed up every flaw. its hard to find a balance, because i still want it to be super hd quality, but not TOO HD either, because i have imperfections that i want to hide. its why i don't think i would consider a mirrorless camera or DSLR, the quality is too 'real life' for me.
we need a brio with a remote :(

Update: I took a leap of faith and bought the Logitech Meetup 4k. I didn't want to buy it new, because I found many used ones, at half of price, most of them only being tested or used for a few months, so like... brand new!

At first I was a little dissapointed with it: washed colors, dropping frames, etc.
But then... I managed to set it up correctly and... hear me out. IT LOOKS JUST LIKE BRIO, but with remote control and MINUS that exposure- light changing shit. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! I can wear whatever, it's not gonna change the lighting. I am still in shock by how good it is, considering I only paid $350.

It still drops frames (It varies beteen 22 and 30 fps), I stream in 1080p which has an ok ish quality, the real magic happens in 1440p and 4k, but I need to figure out a way to be able to stream in such a high quality without the camera freezing. I will order more lights, altough I have plenty of light. I have no idea what could be the problem, I only find OBS settings on internet, for twitch streamers, lol. But no info on webcam splitters and how to fix this. I have same problem with the Brio when I stream in 1080p. In 720p is all good, but it looks like shit.
The only compromise i found now, that helped a lot, was to set the max resolution (4k) in Verysoft splitter and then each site could set it's own res (1080p on SM, 1080p in OBS on chaturbate, 720p on Jasmin).

Meetup is ok in 1080p, but it trully shines at 1440p and 4k.

The thing that changed the whole shit, from yellow- washed out image, to actually something colorful, was the disabling on the auto white balance. It changed the whole thing. Idk why on Brio it was a disaster but with Meetup, it actually does wonders. I set it on auto only to let it find a balance, then disable the auto mode and it looks great!

What I also love about meetup:
- no focus or autof focus. Like... at all. I doesn't have a focus button in the settings either, the camera is focused all the fucking time!!
- The zoom is great, not as super clear as Rally, (rally being a $1200 camera lol) but it's still clear up to 5x. It's reaaly good! Better than Brio.
- It has right sense feature. Which means, you can set it to follow you, it auto zooms and follows you everywhere you move. I disable that because it follows the face, I prefer to use the remote control and zoom/ unzoom as I please. It still has a button on the remote control that you press and the camera automatically follows your face in that moment.
- It has integrated speakers and microphone. Both great quality. I ordered a cable extension for my Yeti microphone and I have to use the meetup mic meanwhile and... people love it!!
- I gave up on my speakers, now I use the meetup speakers too!
- The most important, the mic doesn't pick up the speakers sound!! Now you can play copyrighted music without worrying. Of course, I didn't test it with a too loud volume, but at a level 26/100 (in my pc), the mic won't pick the music.

It took me a few hours of trial, error and almost giving up and sending it back, but I am glad I did test everything. I also installed the Logitech Sync app, I can enable the Rightsense feature and set the camera colors.
The only thing I hate is that I have to re-do the settings everytime I turn on the PC. But nothing complicated, I disable the auto white balance, I increase the contrast a little and the saturation and I am good to go.

Now I am gonna get more lights and see if that's what's missing from having perfect 30fps or even being able to stream in 1440p.

I am confident to say that it truly is a Brio with remote control and without the annoying exposure fucking. Really happy with it.

PS: Buy it used if you can, no reason to pay $700 if there are plenty of used ones, many people get them for testing or they don't know how to set it correctly and they sell it. Just make sure you can test it somehow, if the seller is not local. I was lucky to be able to test it myself before buying, so... take that into consideration.

PS 2: If you buy it, make sure you buy a 4k USB cable for it and have an USB 3.0 port available. The one that the camera comes with, it's a regular USB cord and it can only go up to 1080p. The cord is USB C to USB.
