Deposited 40G into a bank?? Why? That's so going to be reported to the IRS. I thought maybe you were going to put in your bed and sleep on it. Turn the fan on and dance in the money. This story is taking such an ugly turn. I mean and when you leave a man you don't leave with anything he's going to miss unless it's just YOU. But 40g of a friends money and you have the car too? 100 point bump in credit score doesn't sound right.
So now we have:
Police involved for stolen vehichle
Irs Reporting picking up your 40G deposit
Police again for maybe a missing person's report , theft of money etc.
You may need to come clean or run for the nearest border.
This was not the plan. A few years to 10 locked up and your credit score will be lovely. This was not the way to go.
So he possibly cheats and you now have set yourself up for possible prison time?
The only thing I can suggest you to do at this point is pull all the money out and drop off the car with the friend that you owe it to. Pay for a cheap car full price and then move on as best as you can. Or give the money back but keep the car.
Again you took something that wasn't yours to begin with and then also took what the friend was initially paying for "the car".
Anyways I hope you doing well wherever you are. Please play it safe, this was a dangerous last minute move with the bank deposit.
