Thank you so much!! Its true...what is the saying, every journey begins with a single step?

We are only 3 weeks into the year, I have 49 more to go...I just need to concentrate on hitting my date/cam time quotas and before I know it...
Ill have no debt, extra curves, a vacay and a savings account. ;D

Awe! Thanks so much! I hope everyone does, and posts and keeps us updated on their progress.
I have to admit, Im a bit of a leech LoL! I feed off of other peoples successes and it helps push me to do what I can to succeed too.
Thats why I love to see good things happen for other people...makes me feel like it can be me too if I work at it hard enough!

Made 423 on Thurs and 480 on Friday. Updated my tracker, but I'll be putting some money away again tomorrow or the day after, unfortunately it looks like I will not be able to work this weekend as my father is coming home and its just uncomfortable.

I just ran through my investment portfolio, and ... thanks to 'bad' economic news causing the price of gold to leap upward last week ... I just passed $10,000 in earnings since January 1st.

Hey so I just found this and I only read the first two posts and its almost february but I'm really glad I found this. 2011 stayed with a new which ledme to move in with baby daddy. Long story short that ended horribly, luckily in 2011 to start the new year off! I embed up only being able to work a total of for weeks off and on in a club I loved, making money that he was incapable of providing yet kept making me quit! The day before the new year he got sent to jail!I know this makes me sound very white trash but I'm far from it. So up until now I've been recuperating and now I'm finally ready to audition at a new club in a new area and I'm pumped to be able to be aself supporting girl!

I had a great Friday and Saturday and then topped it off with $463 on a Sunday last night, woooot!! I wasn't going to jump in on this until I was done moving (a few days away) because I imagine that'll eat into some of what I have saved, but what the heck. I'm putting up my ticker-box thing now, coz I'm in a great $$ mood after this weekend! ;D

As soon as I move, I need to find a new club and get working my booty off, this thread will be my motivation!!

I almost forgot about this thread! How is everyone doing?

So far, I havnt gotten anything saved up!!! But its on my yearly budget so its still on the list.
At this point, in Jan I moved, between Jan-Feb bought back an apartment full of furniture
This month Im taking kiddo on a wicked spring break holiday.

I want to take a cruise this summer, and then get my implants in Oct (after busy season for work, and while its the cooler months here..since I dont want to be in recovery during the most hot and miserable months of the year.)

Through it all though, I have some major dates planned through to the summer, and as long as those all come through, I should be well on my way to saving up, even with the time Ill need to take off for surgury. Okay, so thats my update...lol!

I hope you all are saving up better than I am so far!

I quit smoking cigarettes, I drink A LOT less. I guess I will have to give myself a new resolution and join the $10,000 club. I will be getting half of that in taxes so lets see if I can do $15,000! Whoop Whoop!

Jessie_tinydancer
03-07-2012, 02:27 AM
^ I keep mine in the bank because I only deposit max $40K/year, which is far less than I make but about what I claim on tax.

PS - Im on $5K now... way behind schedule but had some unexpected expenses. Im trying to get to $25K by July. Hopefully nothing else crazy pops up to eat away my savings.

So jelous, but happy to see so many women hitting that goal. I work at a call center making $10 an hour,as soon as I tone up a bit, I will be back in the club and joining the club. Keep it up ladies super encouraged!!!!!

BlkSharpie
03-07-2012, 08:03 AM
Yeah, very encouraging....I love the higher goals too!

Looking at what I made in Jan/Feb alone, and my projected for Mar, breaks my heart that I had to do this move. I wouldve been halfway to goal if I hadnt lol But on the other hand, this place is much better and way less expensive, so my overall yearly cost savings makes me :)

Even though I do claim everything (I want to be able to prove income, I also have a goal to buy my own place one day...) I still keep most of my money on hand...at least right now. Maybe once I hit my goal, I will start investing like other ladies have mentioned, get myself a financial advisor or something so that I can keep saving and treat it like my retirement fund. Cause to be honest, I know I cant keep this up forever, and I really dont even know what else I can possibly do to make money when I cant do this anymore.

...maybe next year, Ill go back to school again, and really take that seriously. Even though I wont be able to make nearly as much with my dream job, with enough savings on hand, I should be able to be fine...I hope.

Plus, your dream job might come with health insurance, a 401K, flex spending, paid sick / vacation, etc. It ain't for everyone, but the mainstream life can sure be nice. (And you can always dance on the side!)

I already have health insurance though...Plus Im an escort and only work a couple days a week unless Im traveling, so sick/vacation days are in the bag. The thing is, I know I cant do this forever. So....saving up so that the transition from this to mainstream wont be quite as painful is important, I really need to :)

I seem to have gotten pretty stuck at where I'm at in my savings right now - every time I save more up, something comes along to eat it up, argh. So I guess it's good I had the money to cover those things, but it doesn't get me closer to my $10K. But, I'm going to be working a lot more soon, and this weekend I've already set up a few regulars and I'm going to work a shift and a half every day from Thursday thru Monday. I'm starting to get a bit burnt out with this club, but I'm going to just focus on the money and be bad-ass for four days, then have some pampering time. And hopefully have more money too!

Time for me to join!

A little late, but I just started dancing again one week ago yesterday.

My goal is to save $20k this year. So far I'm at $750. I think this is pretty doable, as I did the math and that means I only have to save $500 a week...and I'd be a pretty shitty stripper if I couldn't count on $500 a week minimum. Plus, this time will be very different than my last time dancing because now I'm married and my husband is pulling in good money. So almost all of my earnings can go into savings.

Very excited!!!

^^^ as a former New Yorker, as well as a former spouse, I should make the comment that if your husband is pulling in good money, that both his earnings as well as your own earnings are going to be subject to high federal and state tax rates as a result of your added dancing income. I don't mean to pour cold water on your optimism, just to make you aware that probably 35-40% of your dancing earnings will wind up going to taxes ( 15% SSI tax plus 15-20% federal tax plus 3-6% NY tax ), and that an additional 5-10% of your husband's earnings will wind up going to taxes as well. This is due to your combined income pushing both of you into a higher tax bracket.

Off the wagon for the moment :( The club has been supremely shit lately. Like, several days where most dancers go with a few or no dances. I need to get the f outta here.

Actually, the majority of my husband's income is in the form of allowances like BAH, which aren't taxed, so technically we're in a lower bracket anyways.

Ok, I have been asleep at the wheel. I just bought put a big down payment for my car. I'm not at $0 savings, but I love new beginnings so for the sake of this thread I'm starting at zero, with a 10k goal. My expenses really are high, so in addition to making money at work, I'm looking for realistic ways to slash my expenses enough to save a little more.

Last year I would put half my money in checking, and half in savings, but I'm thinking of trying to use envelopes instead to see how that works for me.

I realised I never posted I hit my first $10k... As soon as I had it.. most of its gone to booking our return flights to the states and vegas and miami accommodation. Onto the 2nd $10k - still need internal flights, NYC accommodation and play money! Time is running out though. I need to up my game.

I'm in! I'll have a few more expenses (a mortgage, eeee! :O) and a heavier workload at school this year, but I'm still going to save/invest as much as I can. I'll be starting at $0.

Dear self,

Keep up the good work! It's been tough with the expenses associated with homeownership, renovations and finally learning how to drive (late bloomer!), but you're getting there slowly. Keep working hard and living frugally, you should hit your goal by August.

Love,

Me.

Ohhh what a fun thread. I'm in if it's not too late. I have to pay off my cc ($600) and then I need to save up for insurance and bonding for my vanilla company. I'd like to save around $30k this year but I'll start at 10k because by next year I'd like to put $10k down on my phone sex company and hire a manager and girls to take calls. Right now my sites are in limbo and I'm only taking a few calls. I also want to lose 50lbs.

I am definitely in! I am just starting out as a dancer. In fact, I haven't started yet. I start June 5th in Vegas due to pre-planned vacation. Just have to find a club to hire me (I know, I know... that is a big step). I have an absurd amount of credit card debt, student loans and a car loan. Apprx. 60k for all of them combined. Ridiculous. But I am determined to cut that amount in half (at least) this year and put $10,000 in savings. I have a long list of things I want to buy (boobs, nose, better apartment in a better area, etc.) but getting myself out of debt is something I have been wanting to do for years!!! I cammed for a little while but I couldn't cam regularly because of my roommate. I made a lot of money doing that and paid some things off, but I still have plenty left. Finally taking steps to do it.. i.e. dancing in clubs like I've always wanted to. I'm determined. SW has been a huge help so far!

Hit my second $10K of the year

Yup ... me too ( going over my investment return numbers ). The SDS shares ( 2 times inverse S&P Index ETF ) I bought in late March were rising quite a bit before, but last week's announcement of problems at JP Morgan just caused them to LEAP up in value !!!

I am at 8500$ right now and heading into busy season at my club. In the next four months, I plan on making 20k for savings, if not more. Penny pinching time!
