There are a few girls who know I'm "yoda" from SCL and TUSCL. A few more who know about this site. It serves no advantage that I have ever encountered. There are a few customers who know as well just based on what a couple of dancers have told me. No one has ever approached me and asked if I was yoda. If they did I would say "yoda who?" To me there is more of an advantage in being anonymous than in being known.

Over the years I've seen bad things happen to a few guys who tried to parlay their internet persona into some sort of real-life power play. Ultimately it bit them in the ass. ITC the only thing that matters to dancers is how much money you spend when you visit. Yapping on the internet doesn't pay their bills...

On topic, I've met several people from various message boards. Most were cool, different from their online personas (mostly less abrasive or outgoing), and good times were had indulging in food, alcohol, and whatever interests we share (video games, movies, reptiles, and/or motorcycles). Message boards are pretty cool.

EDIT:

Depending on the dancer.

It doesn't really "depend on the dancer " if you are speaking in terms of the dancer/CUSTOMER relationship. If you form a friendship with a gal there are most certainly benefits to that but being a guy who posts on the internet is NOT the same as being a gal's friend IRL.

I know what your game is ITC but you need to stop kidding yourself into thinking that the dancers look at it the same way you do.

I would stay private.....You can't un-ring that bell once it's out there.

I would keep things private.

For myself, there are only a couple escorts who know "Jannisary" by his real name. There are others who know me by my real name through screening but don't know my board name. There is no one in the strip clubs who know the connection. Hopefully things stay that way.

You just never know when "drama" of some sort may pop up. It's best to keep things as compartmentalized as possible.

Several dancers know me from this board, many know me from Zbone.

So far it has not been a problem, as we are all discreet and respect each other's privacy.

I've met up in Phoenix clubs with a couple of other junkies from this site, but we don't have anything else in common other than this site and a general stripper addiction, so we don't know much about each other personally. I've met a few SW gals in clubs, but not in several years. I used to ask dancers if they knew about the site, but I just don't bother anymore. Similarly, I used to sometimes drop a PM on this site to dancers that work in my area, but it always felt a little creepy, so I just don't bother anymore. I have plenty of favorite dancers, and I don't think any of them even know about this site.

I think the level of privacy you choose for your online persona is a matter of personal preference. Just don't assume that your comfort level matches anyone else's!
