Im very new to sexwork. Last night I found out that I should have used an ID with PO BOX instead of my license for my verification through a much older thread (I cant find it now). I've already signed up for modelhub and manyvids and am in extreme panic rn. Someone suggested that I could start completely over because Im brand new but that information has already been loaded to those sites so stating over would mean shit at this point (at least how I see it). I was thinking about hiring someone to "erase" my real identity off the internet as much as possible. Is there anything I can do for my safety at this point or should I just take a loss and wise up in the future?

Pretty sure with the current kyc requirements you cannot use an ID with a P.O. Box for most major sites. Also in many states you cannot use an P.O. Box as your only address for ID. If you are worried about a data leak from a site your info will be out regardless. If you are worried about the site using your info against you this isn’t likely.

I was more worried about what someone would find if they went looking. On the older thread someone was saying that there's a website where people can find SCARY information about you FOR FREE (she didnt want to post WHERE because this is a public forum).
Also what are y'all using for verification on these apps. Most emails need your number along with Twitter and suprisingly CL (I just tried to post an ad but couldnt) and the burner apps are not working for me

Hey errbody
I have a lot of anxiety about technology. Due to my cptsd, each time I learn the new functions of a new piece of tech, I do learn it, however, the anxiety surrounding each new learning experience accummulates. I learned a new camera at the beg'g of the year, and now I am overwhelmed in general. The skills I have are in-person people skills, I can ciphon cash out of a dead man without so much as removing my bra - in person. But it's hard to meet new people to hustle now, from behind a mask, so I need to diversify now, and I want to start doing online/digital work.
I'm reading through all the threads about online work, and overwhelmed so I just have one question. What do you feel would be the most efficient form of online work to get me started - is it camming with streammate? just order the equipment through amazon and get set up? Or is it only fans? Or is it nite flirt? I know that once I hit the ground, I can get going, and moving you know? But I'm just in stagnation bc of the overwhelm of so many options & technology methods. I know we are all in over our heads right now but. Any help is appreciated.

You just need to pick one site and get started. Once the initial anxiety starts to subside then introduce a new site into the mix. If you do too much in the beginning it may overwhelm you. Streamate is probably one of the easiest sites to get started on right away. You can even use you built in webcam when you get started. But that shouldn't be a long term set up imo. Other than that we can't really tell you what to do exactly. You just have to read as much as you can and then get to it.

Okay, girl. Just going to start with the webcam on my computer then. And make sure I'm good to go. Then I'll invest in whatever else I need. Thanks so much for this, it actually helps a ton to know the anxiety is just normal.
I went to ATT to look for a burner phone (I dont live in the states) and they looked at me like I was crazy smh
Update I decided to use burner app and its not accepting the number. It accepted it for craigslist but now my ad is flagged smh fml

I wouldn’t invest too much money until you get income.
I invested in remote toys, good lighting, and nice decor and these guys just want me to bust it open. I can say now I’m charging a lot more because of all my upgrades.
I’d say a black and white dildo-the bigger the better is all you need. Set your rules and don’t ever do anything your uncomfortable with. Treat it like a business and you will be successful.
I’m in school otherwise I’d treat it like a business. I’ve still made a little bit of coin. It’s not fast money! You have to build up your clients and content. Pick one platform to learn how to cam. Otherwise you’ll get overwhelmed. I would say SM is newbie friendly. Your first week you get priority placement so make the most of it.
As soon as I get a break from school, I’m gonna set up my camming to be more of a business than a side hustle. It’s been...damn only 4 months...feels like forever...and I’m hoping to start doing phone sex. I’d like to study and take calls in between. I know they having the camming feature on the POS. I’m hoping I can do it without getting all dolled up?
Amazon has 0 interest if you apply for their card if want to save cash for emergencies while your starting your business and use credit to pay for business expenses.
You need to apply ASAP because it can take awhile for SM to approve your application.

Use your passport to sign up to sites. I did the same thing as you until someone on here told me to switch to using my passport. You’ll be fine.

Hi all! I cammed for 5 years about 4 years ago and took a break. I am going to start again this weekend. I wanted your honest opinion on how much I should expect to make hourly starting over. I used to average around $50 a hour before, but I am older now 33 yr old and not as thin. I have a pretty face but I am a little heavy (size 12 pants).
Any one in my boat that has a estimation of how much I should expect starting over on streammate?
Thanks in advance!

I’m a mature model and I get lots of guys who want mature models. Also, guys like thick girls. It’s a myth they want skinny girls. I gained weight with corona and none of my customers seem disappointed. If anything I now have more guys. Your not competing with 20 somethings. Which is good. Guys like older models for the warmth and confidence. I get complimented on how mellow I am. It’s really a different client base. Lots of younger guys looking for a milf experience, but also gentlemen who appreciate the more finely aged qualities.
I’m new and only work part time, so I don’t have a good baseline. I’m making a profit, so that must be good.

I’m confused? It’s not news to me that girl’s rightfully lie about their age. I‘m
new so I haven’t realized that...LOL
I’ve always been honest about my age. Honestly, I want clients that want to buy what I’m selling. Works for me to play to that niche. Plus when they click mature they are more likely to see my profile.

I take care of myself and look much, much younger than my actual age by at least 10 years. Of course, I am going to take advantage of that. No one has even thought of it or mentioned it. One person said I look 21.
That's not to say anyone's strategy is incorrect, but there is nothing wrong with playing up your strengths.

Hi guys!
I am thinking about doing webcam for some extra income and also I think it would be fun. I am interested in joining 4 camsites( stripchat, xlovecams, flirt4free and naked). I’ve been doing a lot of research on being a cam girl and the amount of money you can make. I came up with a calculation for how much I should be able to make. Please let me know if these numbers are realistic and any changes to my numbers.
$100 per site/ 4hrs per day
$100x 4 sites = $400 per day
I will work 3 days a week
$400 x 3days = $1200 a week
$1200 x 4 weeks = $4800 per month
Most cam sites take half of what models earn
$4800/2= $2400 per month
I work full time and I’m a full time student so 3 to 4 days a week and 4 hrs per day is the most time I can give. And of course I will be splitting cams among the 4 sites to use time wisely.
Any suggestions will be appreciated

Advice - don't bother with those sites. Have a proper read through of the forum here and the stickied posts to see what sites work best.

TBH, I think split cam for a newbie is gonna be way too difficult. I would do one streaming site and a couple indie sites till you get the hang of it.

Hi all. When I first started cammimg,i started on Chaturbate. There vere only freeloaders and about 2-3 people in my room.In 3 months i earned only 10 $.Then i started on Streamate. On my first night i earned 10$ and ater that-nothing for three months! Then i made an account on MFC where i earned 134$ in three months( about 6$ per night) .I worked for two hours every third day.But the main problem is lack of traffic. There was a maximum of 7 people in my room, majority were freeloaders who wanted everything for free and gave miserable 5 token tips. Then i went on one year pause. But now i am in need,so i want to start camming again. But,I will probably be at the end of the page, because i havent cammed for one whole year.Do you reccomend buying traffic? And how to do it? Because i will never earn anything with so dead cam room, with a maximum of 7 people. What to do?

You haven't been on cam for one whole year and from what I am reading it appears you have been camming inconsistently. It is important to keep a strict schedule and to ignore/block those in free chat that clearly waste your time. I cannot imagine MFC not having traffic, as usually a dead chat is either due to not taking advantage of the new model status, low score or a lack of interest/activities. MFC is also a very competitive and fast pace site that has a certain setup different than many cam sites. You have to invest a lot of time in maintaining your page and providing frequent content to advertise yourself, for example tip charts, requests, prize wheels, games, ect. Otherwise your score drops and you lose placement, which makes it difficult to reverse with the amount of new models that register and especially when the new model status is removed.
There is no point in buying traffic, you will not earn anything if you do not hustle.

Yes,i have been somewhat inconsistent, because when the room is dead i get tired and bored, and go on a few days pause. But,now my camscore is very low, which means probably i am at the bottom of the page. How to get higher on the page, and therefore attract more traffic?

The issue with leaving when the chat is inactive, is that you risk missing out on potential clients. Not streaming or leaving before a set schedule can also leave remaining clients confused and likely to pursue other models who are actively online. You may sit online for 4 hours before being taken private. If you find yourself falling tired or bored, stop the stream, set a timer, try to recharge and get back online. If you want to move up in placement then you have to be actively posting content, updating your profile, creating new games and giving clients a reason tip.
If you are sitting on cam frowning, slotching, cutting off half your face and not moving instead of talking, typing or remaining active in some way, then they are likely to leave the chat. (Not claiming you do this)
Take a look at some top models and see how they present themselves. Many top models are often playfully loud, giggling, smiling, have tons of games, content, active profiles, member ranks, ect. Put yourself in your client's shoes.
If you were to walk into a store and only see one item on the shelf, would you buy it or look for a different store? If the store was rarely open, would you check to see or assume they would be closed?
The answer to raising your score and getting out from the back page is to advertise, produce content and stay online.

Hi there, not technically new to camming (been on and off since 2012) but posting here since it's a newbiwe question and I can't remember the login for my old account lol -
How do yall handle nice freeloaders in your room? I've been trying to get back into the hang of camming and going live 3 nights a week or so. I have about one loyal fan from my twitter who shows up to all of my shows and chats the entire time I'm online - but nothing else. Doesn't tip, nothing of the sort. He's perfectly nice but not very interesting to talk to and I just ughhhh cannot stand the thought of him getting free interaction for several hours without paying. Thing is, he'll be the ONLY person chatting in my room for ages. Tonight I got so annoyed of him chatting and questioning me without paying that I just ignored him and let him talk to himself, but then of course my room was completely silent and dead for the last hour of my show which I try to avoid. :\ Any advice?

Hi everyone, sorry if there has been a similar thread to this, I used the search function and can't find any specific troubleshooting info for new girls who are struggling. I have read all the sticky threads and what I'm taking away from them is that it's totally possible to make good money as new cam model with minimal fancy equipment and good lighting. Which I have (although lighting isn't 100% and I'm using built in webcam for now) I have compared my setup to others and it seems to be ok (I also do vanilla influencer content and know my game so I really don't think it's a lighting/equipment thing)
I am a retired exotic dancer. I am 32 years old (I've been told I look a little younger) I'm blonde, blue eyed and on the slim side (although I have more curves now than when I was 20) No tattoos and very mainstream look.
My problem is I'm not making any money. I have gone onto chaterbate several nights in a row and have 50 tokens. I am not doing everything for free. Although a former custie from the strip club who I stayed in touch with has advised me to go on there, get naked and start fucking myself in the ass until someone tips... is this really a method some ladies use ???
I made a menu and listed the tokens I require to do certain things. This seems pretty standard across the board from watching other's cams. I've never had more than 10 people in my room at once. When I watch other cams I see there are 300-500 people in the room for most ladies my age.
Do I really need to have a social media following similar to my vanilla content to make any money at this? Just as an example I have been active on IG, my blog and youtube (to a degree) for a couple of years. And I have about 10,000 followers across the board. But that was a LOT of work.
I don't feel that I have the energy to put that amount of work promoting my cam persona along with my vanilla social media. It would literally be a 60 hour a week job, not including the time spent on actual cam.
Basically, I am looking for feedback. I was hoping to make reasonable money doing this... when I was a dancer, I could go into a club, put in effort for a few hours and get a return of a few hundred dollars at least.. I am not finding this true with camming. Basically, I'm wondering how much time I need to put in to see results.. I have gone on for 2-3 hours at a time and gotten nothing in return. With only about ten people at a time in my room.
Thanks for any advice, I'm really hurting for money right now due to COVID office closures and my goal from this is just to make enough to have a basic apartment of my own and basic neccessities. (I'm currently in a shit roomate situation)
Thank you again I really am desperate :(

for me personally I cannot make a dime on Chaturbate. I really hate that site, seemed to me to be full of broke guys who would never go private or tip.
I do okay on Streamate and Stripchat and sometimes MFC. Register for several! Never know which will work for you. Also if one site is having slow traffic or tech issues you can log out and try another site.
Once you get the hang of it and get better equipment you can splitcam more than one site when its slow.
Once you make some money youll want to invest at least in a decent logitech camera also.
Also omg do NOT listen to customers!!! Listen to successful cam models who make enough to support themselves from camming. When you see chathosts fucking themselves its because they already made their goal. (I only do private sessions myself). Never do a performance without being paid first!

I've never understood how some are able to make money on Chaturbate, it's a total mystery to me!
If you feel like the vibe of token sites is what you're after then I would start with myfreecams. The members are much better than on CB and although navigating the cam score is tricky, overall it's a much better site with higher income.
Camming is not always quick money, you will have to experiment a little to find your place, but it is very worth it. Welcome to the the rollercoaster :)

I hated CB. All the girls do the most for next to nothing. I’m not judging. I just hated it.
camming isn’t like stripping. It’s not fast money. I would try another cam site. I’m in school, but if I wasn’t I would make a schedule and cam my ass off. I am on SM exclusively. My advice is to find another cam site. I’m living off student loans right now, but I suspect most models do okay if they work full time. Start with a goal to make $250 a week and once you can do that consistently move to $500 weekly goal. Don’t ever do anything you don’t feel comfortable with. Seriously not worth it. You are not losing money by entertaining broke guys or by not doing something your uncomfortable with. Block every guy that pisses you off. There’s plenty of decent customers that will pay you. You just have to deal with a lot of broke assholes trolling the cams looking for free pussy before you get that awesome guy who will actually pay you for your time.
Also, I’m in a weekly support group for sex workers go to pineapple.com if you want to check it out. It’s the weekly drop in group if you want to register.
An old proverb says if you take your clothes off they will cum....wait maybe that’s if you build it they come. Either way keep hustling and eventually you’ll make money.

I'm a dancer whose state is closing down bars and restaurants and I'm thinking of switching to camming for income. Can anyone help me with understanding what equipment I'll need? I have a regular laptop with a camera but I am going to buy a webcam at best buy... any tips will be appreciated. I just want the basics for now because I'm on a budget.
I'm thinking of Streamate and MFC to start up but I have no idea how to start. Any helpful info will be very appreciated.
Thanks ladies, & happy camming.

When i first started ( long ago ) i didn't know how to save a picture, i didn't know how to copy and paste ... Camming is for everyone who wants to try it. Give it a try and see if you like it and you'll learn all you need to know step by step.
Start with one site and add more if you see that your laptop can handle.
Streamate has a Model Guides , you can take a look at and see if it answer some of your questions. Here is the link https://streamatehelp.com/getting-started/

Girl I am technology stupid and I have zero clue what half these ladies talk about. I cant even edit for a video. What I did was go to SM website or whatever website you want to work for and buy exactly what type of computer they tell you to have. Then just log in and cam. Dont worry about anything else and it will come to you as you cam, the learning. SM is very point and shoot so maybe that one can work to start. I cant even work MFC even though I have an account there cause it confuses the snot out of me but SM is very very user friendly and simple.

I have a Chaturbate account that I've been verified on and cammed on and off, I mean just BARELY maybe a couple times a year. Every time I get nobody in my room, no tips, no tokens, and I'm wondering if it's ME or if I'm just not putting in the level of dedication I would need to. I would like to start doing camming full time seriously but I'm worried about it not being profitable. My FPS also regularly hits 0 for some reason even though we have gig internet from the best isp in the area and I have a $75 wifi adapter. My audio also won't work for some reason on neither my laptop or my webcam which is weird, but I have a logitech webcam and from what I can tell the picture is good. I also don't have a lot of space to cam in. Am I not going to be able to make camming work for me or can I definitely still? Would streamate be any easier? I'm plus size and don't have a conventionally attractive body or face at all

Its hard to say until you try it but personally I do WAY better on Streamate.
I hate Chaturbate myself because of their tendency to ban chathosts randomly and take a long time to reinstate, if they ever do. Would not want to work hard building a customer base just to lose it all in an instant.
I would say it's well worth giving Streamate a try. I'm sort of in between curvy and BBW with my tummy pretty out of shape but I can do well on Streamate if I put in the hours. I prefer private-based sites also so it fits me way better than token sites.

In all honesty, you get what you put into it. If you are not online very often that makes it difficult to earn potential clients.
You are also your own technical support, which means when something goes wrong with your cam equipment you should be prepared to diagnose the issue.
Same goes with daily hustle and upkeep, advertising yourself, creating new topics, games, prizes, photo/video packages, updating social media accounts, ect.

You've not given it a chance yet.
Tbf I tried Chaturbate once briefly and my picture was crap, I had awful audio feedback, and nobody was coming into my room. Plus it's not really my style of camming anyway. I already had my other sites so I just didn't go back again.
Try other sites, sort out your tech issues (although based on my experience they may be magically fixed just by switching to a different camsite), maybe use an ethernet cable for more stable Internet, and put in some hours, effort and consistency.

Oh they'll bitch no matter what just one thing i learned is keep smiling and just ignore them once they become assholes. or at least try to be as positive as possible with your voice the good guys will outway the bitchy ones.
Also dont let them pressure you, dont let them get to you. if you dont show your face you may find it harder to get shows but I started only showing from nose down and makeup tutorials are amazing to disguise features if you ever do want to show your face and have some anonymity also colored contacts can be helpful if they're viable.
For stress meditation is amazing, have wireless headphones and listen to music or watch shows in slow times. Try not to get discouraged if there's times it slows down it WILL pick up its just about consistency and building a client base.
Keep in mind I only work on Streamate but I've been there for over 3 years so it does depend on sites. Some sites have more polite guys than others.

Hi
I'm looking at giving camming a go but for discretion, I would like my face hidden and would prefer to be silent in case my voice is recognised.
Can anyone give me advice.on what the best sites would be please, if any?
Thanks

No doubt there's performers who hide their faces, and performers who only type. There may be some who do both, but I imagine most don't do well like that. Faces, expressions, voices... They are pretty important for most guys. Perhaps if you have crazy huge mammoth boobs or something else that's unusual, you could do well. By taking away both your voice and face you're making things a whole lot more difficult for yourself. If I were you I'd maybe do phone sex on Niteflirt or something.

Thanks, yes I am questioning whether it is really for me. Maybe sticking to content creation and SW is best.
Hi! I feel like this is a weird question, but I can’t seem to find an actual answer anywhere? I’ve cammed before, but I didn’t have this issue as much — thanks to my epilepsy, my attention issues have gotten worse over time. What do y’all actually DO to stay on? When it’s dead or free chat isn’t hopping? Like actual examples? I’m talking and engaging, I have the acting and fun, I’m getting customers, but I don’t want to log off in the dead zone. It’s just that I need a certain amount of stimulation going on to access my, uh, peak focus brain, even with the meds and lofi music and chatting to myself about things for conversation invitation.
I also don’t want to just sit there doing nothing? So… I don’t want to browse forums necessarily, but studying? Gaming? Crafting? What do you all actually do to entertain yourselves and stay focused?

You may find the STFO thread helpful, as soon as I found it I made a card with 'GTFO & STFO' after a while I didn't need it. I also get up, walk around, chat about things, take meditation breaks - really helps and now I rarely get dead time. https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?197329-The-quot-Just-stay-the-fuck-on-quot-thread

Thank you! I've been scrolling through it, but I think what I'm having trouble with is more... activity ideas? I struggle a lot with "looking bored." I'll definitely post there and keep reading, this site has always been a goldmine of info and an answer to my struggle-bus prayers out here in the lonely Bible Belt, lol!

I go to a website called crazygames, they are games and they help me keep myself entertained.
