View Full Version : On average, about how much do you make a day camming?

Between $50 and $90 an hour depending on the day. Ta-daaa? I'm not sure what this information does for anyone because I know it varies SO MUCH for everyone, just look how much it varies for me.

To answer OP's question, my goal has been and still is $100
This seems to be standard, there are girls who make double, triple (quadruple...) that but they are going to be less inclined to post about it publicly either way. matter of the fact is that those girls work MORE = they have more stamina, they are more jaded, they are better actresses, etc. it's not that they are hiding some omg big secret of zomg how to get rich fast!!1
It's a whole different question weather I'm breaking my 3 digit goal, last day I worked (2 days ago lawl) I squeezed out ~70 on SM and ~10 on another site in ~2 hrs. Not breaking 100 has become the norm for me actually, there have been plenty days of logging off with $50.
The money adds up so slowly, think about it (I know I know this is a tired argument but whatever) on a day you log off w/ $50 you have actually extracted $150 from the guys and I can't help but think about that all the time. I'm feeling more and more inclined to go out on interwebs and fish for individual guys (indy) and 1) give them undivided attention 2) even at a discounted rate ($3 for indy vs. $4-5/min on big box sites) take home almost 3X as much money. Does it feel good to receive $50 in your payoneer for 2 custom videos...!
Idk where I'm getting with this BUT I think this is a perfectly legitimate idea for a thread because it's not like "we" are writing some sort of "Camming Bible" here, people come and go - past veterans disappear, new people start to post, situation changes, the fact that something has been discussed in the past does not mean that making a new thread is completely redundant... I sound like such a wannabe veteran haha but then again this is pretty much an anonymous forum and I can say whatever the hell I want (well, as long as it's not uncalled for, outright meanness) and so can everyone else. Granted there are boring repetitive topics (=slightly annoying) but w/e who cares...

Lets just keep it REAL....
Go ask people on the street to show you their paystubs???
Ask how much they make an hour...how many hours in a week?
Ask your parents to show you their bank accounts...??
ask your boss how much he/she makes????
Re wording the question doesnt change it.
Being nice about it doesn't help.
This is a Rude question.....and only someone stupid, lying, or with a scam answers it
Hell the studio ads/sites tell you numbers ....IJS
My 2 cents

No, no it's NOT anonymous, that's the point. There are HUNDREDS of lurkers here consisting of guys who will bug the hell out of you for free shows, guys who might try to find your personal info and use it against you, girls who want to make your life hell, girls who want to copy you and possibly take away your customers. It's not anonymous at all. That's why it's really not a good plan to post your earnings etc in full view. Most SW girls realize this pretty soon which is why they stop posting stuff like that.
Added to which it's impossible to tell you numbers. You might make nothing one day and 3 times your average the next day. It depends how well you do, how much you work, the site you're on, and how much interest there is in you, not to mention how much you charge. Saying "I earn $____ a week/ day/ hour" just sounds really really crass, not to mention misleading.

Amen Katie. And here is another seriously good piece of advise.......
You tell you make too much.....your custies might stop giving money.
Tell you make too little.....You might get more freeloaders.
You make in the middle ..... suddenly its 20 girls doing the same exact things you do on the same exact sites....
Now whatz the positive of telling this info??????
You help a stranger?
You get girls to sign-up thru your links gaining sign up money?
You get girls in your studio to take your cut?
You trick girls into signing up on bad/start-up sites?
this is how i see it....I mean tell me if im wrong?

I definitely never threatened anyone. To threaten I'd have to have said "I AM" going to murder you. Just an FYI. And actually there's alot of how much weekly. I was curious about DAILY. Which I could find nowhere. Excuse my crude humor but it really is not that serious.
And I asked for an estimate. I was curious if I make more or less than most to be blunt.

I can answer this. Have you noticed the threads started by strippers: "Taxes and camming is it still worth it" / "$1000 a week, really?" <-- you have probably noticed those threads. I am pretty sure that $1k a week is actually on the *higher* end, my guess is that an average more or less serious, consistent camgirl working 5 days a week brings in something like $500 a week. Of course I'm not talking here about the hard workers who have the stamina/acting skills etc. (which you cannot learn, you either have it or you don't) who bring in much more...
To put it bluntly camming may be the safest type of sex work but it's the LEAST LUCRATIVE, now that doesn't sound so good does it? Not an ego-booster that's for sure... As GlamourRouge put it more gently in that other thread - camming is good if you have children/disabilities/you live in a hellhole with zero opportunities at the moment.
If anything I think a thread like this can show: "no, of course not $1000 a week! More like $500 *if* you're consistent haha" (as usual talking "average")

There's no way a girl working 40 hours a week should be bringing in $500 a week. That's only just over $10 an hour. Christ, I've only just started camming and I'd be ashamed of myself I had that bad a week. Might as well pack it in and get a vanilla job.

Just an FYI, legally it is an offence to knowingly utter or convey a threat to cause death or bodily harm to any person. Convey means that the mention of thoughts of violent acts even if it was directed towards other people in certain contexts can legally be considered a threat.
You might want to brush up a little more on your legal definitions of what can be considered a threat if this is your usual manner of speaking to people in future relations.

No court of law would buy that and you know that. Seriously, enough with the thread jacking over nothing, you guys are just bullying her at this point.

I am amused that you think that you know what I would and wouldn't 'buy'.
I am also amused that she is the one who mentioned the word 'murder' and I am now being accused of being the one that is doing the bullying.

It's natural to be curious about what fellow cam girls make, but I wouldn't feel comfortable straight-up asking them how much they make. And I think it's worse when the men on the cam sites ask models that question. If a cam girl wants to volunteer that info, then so be it.
Also, some of these guys are so screwed up with their thinking, that if you announce to them that you make $_____/day (a high amount), they're gonna think "Well shit, I don't have to tip her then. She already makes tons of money." *rolls eyes*

It's just plain rude.
Like Star pointed out, in the "real world" you wouldn't ask your co-worker/boss, etc what they bring home. This is a job. And what I make isn't any of anyone's damn business.
This is sales commission based. So they can't get a straight number anyway.
What they WANT is a fantasy number - that is why this question is asked! lol That is why this thread has over 12 THOUSAND views in two days!!
They want us to tell them that camming is easy money and that we shit glitter out of our asses all day. Then they will beg and whine about not making it whatever said high number and want us to tell them how to do it too. And if we don't, we're bitches. It's a cycle.
People who work hard do not need to ever ask these questions, because they are out making the kind of money they want to see in their bank account!
Just like if they were going to go out and sell Mary-Kay for a living. (also an indy sales based job) Girls need to get to work and see what they average for themselves.

I know that it's rude. You do realize that I was agreeing with you guys, right?
I also think these threads are getting out of hand. There are currently like 3 - 5 different threads in Camming Connection asking cam girls how much they make. Next time a thread like this is created, can a mod delete it or lock it? And in the final post (before it's locked), just direct the OP to the other threads?

I can understand answer like that, but making stupid troll comments like a 12 year old on 4chan is another story. Oh and I have 3 lawyers in my family. I asked one of them if someone could successfully sue me in court over this ordeal. Their response? Laughter. Get over yourself. You are a cam girl not Madonna, I don't need to kiss any of your bums. If you don't like my question it's simple, don't answer it!

Looking at other girls "averages" is sometimes interesting, but not useful. I believe that I'm also guilty of asking about averages in reference to how they changed over time. The numbers vary wildly. I did a LOT of research about this before I started, both on this forum and on other websites, and if you're going for a really really rough estimate of the "average" ~beginning~ cam girls salary, it appears to be between 20-30 and hour. Some of you will disagree with this, which is fine, because I also think that this is not an accurate representation of what a new camgirl can expect to make (because you can't really expect anything).
Let's say that A. You're making more then this and you feel good about yourself, yay for you. Now what? Are you going to be satisfied with your goal just because you're making more then "average" and stop pursuing a higher goal? Or are you going to think that "oh, so and so only makes 500 so I'm happy with 600" or B. You're making less then this and feel like crap, lol. So what are you going to do, give up camming or make a mediocre $30 an hour your lifetime goal? haha
Obviously some girls make 10 an hour, others make 100, there are just too many factors to pinpoint an accurate "average."
The best thing to do is to get on cam, see how much you make, and make reasonable goals for yourself. See how much money you can make, period. One thing that seems to be true for most cam girls is that the longer and more consistently you do it, the more money you'll make.
One last note...I don't think that asking about averages on an online forum is quite as bad as asking random people on the street or your boss or something. She's not asking anybody directly, anybody is free to share or not to share. I can certainly see why it would be considered rude (again, I am guilty of this), but I don't think that's a fair comparison. I think people are frustrated because there's already threads on this and I don't think they're extremely helpful, just points of interest.

Instead of continually posting rude comments and keeping a thread like this going, many of you could just IGNORE it and it will go away. Reporting these threads isn't going to change anything either. We are just ignoring your reports. It seems lately that alot of you only come out of the verfied section to bully or post nasty comments in threads that you consider "dumb". Not cool. Some of you are on really thin ice. I'm going to close this thread because it has just gotten out of hand. No infractions will be handed out even though a few of you really deserve one.
I also want to add that if you have nothing useful or nice to say in a thread then don't post in it!!! I feel like a broken record...
