My heart is breaking...okay, I really do hope that you dont come crying or that anything bad happens here...
But I do have to agree, I saw PP and my heart went into my throat. Ditto to the repercussions the ladies have mentioned...Paypal is always on the buyers side, and they do not play. Ive known girls who got burnt...not just by guys reversing charges, or flat out writing paypal and telling them that your account is being used for adult services just to be nasty, but just by paypal itself flagging and freezing accounts for unusual activity and doing an investigation.
Yeah jeez, why didnt you just have him send you the money with MoneyPak? You would have gotten 100% of the funds, and for him it would have only been a $30 fee ($500 load limit, $5 per load). And then you could load that money into your PayPal account using the Greendot codes.
Anyway...still hoping nothing wierd happens....horrible thing is, it can take up to 3 months to find out.

On the mfc wiki page it says that tips can not be forgiven and to tip wisely or something. I never had a charge back that I know of.
I think but I'm not really... I heard there can be a cb on pvts because its not a tip. Tips are like gifts.

Can *everyone* stop taking PayPal? Like fuck raise your prices on Streamate challenges - how about "Never ever take or offer PayPal" challenges? Posts about PayPal gives me ulcers. I cannot be the only person who gets asked to take PayPal almost everyday - so can people stop enabling this? To me all I hear whenever guys ask for it is "Hey, do you take scams? Can I scam you? Im just not in the mood to pay you, so canyou do this for free and have this whole payment thing be an illusion? Theft of services and the ability to stalk you turns me on, kthnx"
If a guy can take the time to plug in his info to PayPal he can take the time to plug in his info into any other adult friendly payment processor or gift card option on the planet. Some guys want PayPal bc they believe it is more discreet and they can hide it better from their wives - it isnt bc youre looking right at his personal information and he is able to look right at yours. If he says he is single and is only 19 and is requesting PayPal he s either lazy, a liar, or a piece of shit.
We all have regulars that we think we can trust or can predict the behavior of - but when it comes to *money*? Like money in your pocket? Money in your pocket when there are less convenient but more reliable options? Trust no one.
Can I add that some girls offer PayPal but use their boyfriend or husband's banking info to intercept it as a way to protect their privacy - you do know that that doesnt make it any more discreet for you? In all likelihood the person who youre with doesnt have the same amount of online privacy training as you do... aka they probably have a Facebook or LinkedIn or blog or flickr with your relationship publicly acknowledged and one bored asshole could quickly figure it out. That and your BF's whole bank account can be suddenly shutdown. Plus he has an address of someone who trusts you enough to use their banking info.... and if you two live together, forget about it.
BTW - guys talk about how to use PayPal to rip camgirls off in forums by the way, these arent coy naive guys who arent internet-savvy. A bunch of them are naive (like Ive explained to guys before why I dont take PayPal ad a few genuinely had no idea) but assume the majority are not. Keep the money hunger in check so it doesnt blind your discretion.
Crispy I hope you get paid but please dont offer PP anymore. 3K is nothing to sneeze at, you know? Id be a nervous wreck.

Just to let you all know.....
A while back I actually had a chargeback on MFC of 1,000+ tokens. Boy, was I fucking pissed! This guy had spent a lot of tokens on a private show and in public chat. Then one day I looked at my token stats and saw that there was a chargeback of over 1,000 tokens. I sent MFC an e-mail, and they looked into it, and said it was 'credit card fraud'. All of those tokens I worked for GONE and never reimbursed. I was so fucking pissed.....
Crispy, I'm so sorry that this douchebag reversed the sale. I don't trust Amazon wishlists at all. I agree with GlamourRouge that some guys use it to get a free show and/or try to find out your personal info. That's pretty fucking sneaky, and I don't like it. If a guy wants to spoil me, I tell him he can send an Amazon e-gift card to my e-mail (I give guys my alternate e-mail...not my primary one) or he can spend money on me the usual way on the cam site (MFC tokens, etc.).
And I'd like to repeat.....PLEASE DO NOT USE PAYPAL, LADIES.
Wow this thread has been a text roller coaster of ups and downs. i am so sorry about what happened i really hope it works out for you in the end. this thread stands as a good warning to any would be PP users. i for one shall never trust the PP after reading this and similar threads speaking the unspeakable horrors of the PP. in other words i am not down with the o' PP, yeah you know me.
If a guy can take the time to plug in his info to PayPal he can take the time to plug in his info into any other adult friendly payment processor or gift card option on the planet.
So So this. In my experience if any guy is even worth your time will go through the extra "trouble" it takes. ;p ~~ i love roast. hers posts are always so helpful and spot on also her name makes me hungry nom nom. just had to say that

Paypal "haters"? From what I've gathered (I'm not affiliated with them, and after the many horror stories I've heard through other adult workers, I never will be) - Paypal hate us! Apparently they really don't look too fondly on those who use them for adult transactions. This, (along with the initial iPhone cop-put), I really would be cautious.
It's not that we don't want to be happy for you: We don't want to see you get fucked over worse than you were before.
I would NOT advise accepting anything for adult work over Paypal.

Wow...try to give advice on how dangerous it is to use PayPal for adult biz and now we're haters?
Oakies...Im not one to wish bad on anyone, and I truly hope that you do not end up in the same situation others have who used PayPal. But I do suggest that if PayPal catches on, this may not be the place to come to for support...
All it takes is to make one of your good regulars feel neglected, be jealous, get found out by his wife and by some strange karma feels its your fault and you should suffer with him, what have you...and all he needs to do is email PayPal.. Does not matter if you take the money out right away, once they flag your account, the very next transaction will initiate a freeze on your acct til they complete their investigation...Ive seen it take months, and then at the end of the investigation, not only did the girl not get any of the money in her account, she was slapped with a huge fine to pay.
I had my account investigated..this was right after they changed the rules to not allow adult transactions, and they were proactively just watching accounts and I guess mine was one of them. But I stopped using it for adult immediately..well, the next transaction I made was a purchase, not even receiving money. They froze my account, with the explanation that they have reason to believe my account is being used for reasons against TOS, adult transactions.
My purchase? Origami paper. It still took them about 2 months to complete their investigation and re-open my account. But...Im a hater and know nothing :D So...carry on! Good to hear you got your money, wish you a lot of luck with Paypal.

We are not PayPal "haters." We are cam girls who work our asses off and don't wanna be ripped off by cheap ass douchebags. I'm surprised that after what you've been through, you're still gonna continue to use PayPal. "Good regular?" I had a "good regular" on MFC who had been one of my highest tippers, but then he became a selfish douchebag who wouldn't stop harassing me.
And yes, we were happy for you, crispy. But it seems that you haven't learned your lesson after that guy screwed you over once already. I guess you're gonna just do what you want to do, regardless of what we suggest. All I can say is good luck.

he didnt screw me over and i found out for sure hes not under age after he cancelled the iphone order, the next week he sent me 700 via paypal to make up for it. i just never bothered updating here becasue im hardly ever on.
im not going to sit here and argue. ive not yet had any issues, most of my clients are from out of the country and out of the country clients arent even paypal elgiable for refunds. learn how to work a system, instead of fearing it.
btw my main cam site the one that does one hour feature shows that i work for that JESS works for, pays via paypal as one of their options. lol.

So then don't argue. You're the one getting all defensive and calling us "PayPal haters" (that's hilarious, considering that I LOVE PayPal for NON-adult transactions).
Next time some dude rips you off, don't come on here complaining about it if you're gonna get defensive when we try to give you useful advice. Good luck.

All I know is that you were in a situation, many of us cared enough to take the time out to congratulate you, then sympathize with you, and were genuinely concerned that you used PayPal. And you respond by being insulting and calling us haters. Im definitely not going to waste my time again caring one way or another for someone that hostile.
Speaking of which...eep! Another 2m of my life I wont get back...enough of you and all of this :D

Lol... Easyyyyy, everyone.
We're just concerned, that's all.... Your 19yo iPhone refunder raised a billion red flags the way you initially presented the situation, Crispy, but I'm genuinely happy that everything worked out for you.
I think sometimes we all have to step back and realize that the opinions and beliefs we hold (I.e. "PayPal is evil and should never be used"), come from our own personal paradigms, which are shaped by our own personal experiences. I am absolutely not surprised that girls who have had shitty experiences with PayPal in the past are now biased against PayPal, and warn others not to use it. If that had been MY experience, I would surely feel the same way. That said, count me among the PayPal lovers: I have never had a bad experience with PayPal, and I make great money using it, so I will continue to do so, albeit VERY CAREFULLY, because I DO take other people's warnings to heart to some degree.
Crispy, I'm not surprised that you were so put off by the prospect of losing a portion of this huge tip to sm or mfc, and so you decided to take a risk and do the PayPal thing instead. It sounds like it was a MEASURED risk, because clearly you had some indication that this particular customer is not a total douche. I would have done exactly the same thing, in your situation. As long as, in the back of your mind, you understand that "yes there is SOME chance that these funds will be refunded" (or whatever), and you are ok with that, then it's absolutely reasonable to take CALCULATED risks.
Enjoy the 3k, and don't spend it all in one place. :-)

Honestly, I don't think she was saying we were haters in the sense of hating on her. I took it simply as a lot of people hate using paypal/don't recommend it. I don't recommend using it for adult transactions seeing as they don't allow them, but if that's what she wants to do, knowing the risk, that's what she's gonna do.

Paypal does allow payroll like that in certain cases.
They definitely do not allow a direct transaction for an adult payment though. Doesn't really matter if the customer is out of the country or not - they can still fine you and suspend your account for adult activity whether the client refunds or not.

I have no idea if greendot uses paypal...I havent used greendot in years, and know things may have changed.
Moneypak is associated with greendot, but its a load card, not a credit card. Paypal accepts moneypak to load your account with funds. There is no way to associate who bought the moneypak card since you must use cash at a retailer to purchase it. Then you use the code on the card to load your Paypal account with the money and It cannot be charged back or disputed.
You can load a maximum of $500 on moneypak, and it costs 4.95 to load, no matter the amount, and when loaded into Paypal, there is no load fee or charge associated with it whatsoever, so you get the full amount and it is instantly placed into your account. Also, it is well within terms of TOS because you are not using PayPal to accept funds from another user towards adult transactions. You are simply loading money into your PayPal account.
