TY for helping me understand how the placement works for models vs "features" . Camming with them a while and suddenly new models show up and they are Porn or something higher up (I hate to say that) and get top placement. It blows but it makes sense. I was told "they are the meat that attracts".
very good analogy
Oh dear lord...I just googled Beshine...wtf?
she certainly brings lots of 'meat' to that webcam customer 'attraction' equation

OT I know but fuck how does she stand up straight with boobs like that! I watched the welcome video and at the end when she is on all 4's....OMG no way. I have F/FF cups right now and they are too fucking big, I can't wait till mine go back down to DDs after pregnancy.

I learned a) Free chats are recorded b)Suspensions are largely based on "customer" complaints and not investigated unless you speak up and email them. c)Live captures can get you suspended even if you are in break-so its important to leave the view of the cam while getting dressed.
Thank you so much for passing this information on!

What Blake said, 150%. That's exactly why I do well and why guys come to us for attention rather than wanking over free porn (IMO). Granted, my earnings are down this month too. I need to learn more about branding and marketing to a niche clientele.

niche markets are where the money is at for sure ! If you can 'qualify' yourself to serve a niche market, you can A. narrow down the number of camgirls you must successfully compete against, and B. reach out to potential webcam customers who already 'like' what you are offering re content.

I know this is going to be a really newbie question, but I am willing to embarrass myself anyway because I fall into that kind of freakshow cliche and am truly curious.
Is there any other way to reach out other than Twitter and having a Blog?

I think that's a great question shy! I'm curious about that as well. :)

Newsletters, forums, groups, promo teams, TFP or paid content networking, cross-exposure (working with others in the niche & gaining each others client base), conventions, etc etc. Its a lot of work, but worth it. You'll also gain exposure though, making it hard to hide your identity. Depends on if the risks outweigh the benefits for you.

From what I have been able to skim on the forums......you have to wait for a promo team to find you, right? If not, just point me in the right direction and I'll chase those suckers down! ;)

Typically if you don't want to pay for one out of pocket yes. I have a list if you want to PM me.

Seeing that sadly I have nothing in my pockets, I guess I will just have to try to make it my goal to be awesome so they will eventually notice me. :D

Indeed ... showing up at 'niche' conventions, appearing in 'niche' publications and their associated websites etc. are probably the most effective way to 'get your name out' to potential niche customers that doesn't involve 'paid advertising'. But as GlamourRouge points out, pulling this off will involve a significant amount of time and energy.
But IMHO it's definitely worth it to try and develope a 'niche' presence. As previously discussed in yet another deleted post, with 'professionals' posing increasing competition for webcam customer dollars on one side, and with increasingly financially stressed 'amateurs' providing increased 'content' levels at lower prices posing increasing competition for webcam customer dollars on the other side, 'average' camgirls who fall in the middle are likely to experience gradually falling earnings potential. Being able to 'sidestep' some of that competition via selling into a 'niche' market can be a big help.
