Why? So far gift rocket has treated me well.. but I'll keep checking on it as I'm a little wary still...
In the two times that I've used it, Giftrocket support reversed funds (after it already completed transfer to my paypal) and then asked the SENDER for a copy of his license in order to 'prevent fraud.'
This happened two separate occasions with two vey trusted regulars. Luckily, they did so. Had it been another customer, I would have been SOL.
I made a thread about this a couple of years ago.

Please don't tell me not to use giftrocket. If you're going to respond just to tell me that, don't do that.
So for those who use GiftRocket, is there a way for clients to give you less than 25 bucks? I ask because I want to do things like skype verification fees and the like (like 5 bucks or something) so that way I know they're not going to waste my time.

LCMS, CammodelDirectory, and SkyPrivate, and most adult processors you can set up yourself have options for payments as low as $5 (or even lower).
Don't use Giftrocket.

I just looked at SkyPrivate and found this bit in their TOS :/
3.2 Model understands that, prior to using the Service, he/she will have to provide certain information to PPM INTERNET INC during the online registration procedure, including:
(i) A readable color copy of his/her identity card or passport;
(ii) An outpayment account number as indicated by the Model such as, but not exclusively, a bank account, prepaid mastercard card;
(iii) Other information required during the registration procedure.
Would clients see the real life name given, since they sound like you NEED to have that set as your real name?

Absolutely not. Like any camsite, they tend to be careful with your real identity.
You need to "provide certain information to PPM INTERNET INC during the online registration procedure", but when you make your profile it is entirely your "cam persona", including whichever age and name you wish to set.

Idk perhaps this is a ticking time bomb but I have not had a single bad experience with gift rocket. Probably used it at least a dozen times on the receiving end.

Via their agreement with credit card processors, adult video chat billing is not allowed - whether they explicitly state it or not. If you are caught, your payment won't go through (possibly multiple pending payments) and you will not be allowed to use it again. They also have the bad habit of letting the client (and you) think a payment went through when actually it was declined - you just won't find out about it until later.
Adult sites and adult billing sites are geared towards your interests and protecting your earnings better than any vanilla billing option save for maybe BitCoin.

I've looked into Coinbit but I've read quite a few people saying "DON'T DO IT" cause they're worried about government looking at it or something like that???

move it out of there because they will freeze your funds just like paypal does.

Direct deposits can be recalled, we've done it when we've made payment errors in the past...its just a big PITA for all concerned so we don't unless there's no other way to recover the funds. Anyone that sends you a direct deposit has a window to take it back and checks can be cancelled even after they've been cashed.

Ok how long is this window of time they can take their money back? I am a bit worried now. I did look at their terms of service and seem to recall it saying that purchaser cannot get refund after gift has been redeemed? Also how would anybody prove it is for adult transactions as long as nobody says that in the gift note or the thank you note? Can you refer me to where it says they can take the money back after it has been redeemed? Or it doesn't say that but they do it anyway?
Thanks again.
So you all are saying my money in my bank account could be frozen because of this giftrocket business?

They can't freeze your account. What can happen is if you move the money out and its recalled, it will create a simple overdraft situation.
You have $50 in your account.
Client pays you $50 so you have $100 now.
You spend $90 on groceries, so you have $10 now.
The ACH for $50 is reversed, you now have an NSF fee of $25 and the $40 is removed. You're now at -$55.
Bank charges you continuously until you bring your balance back (to a max of -$200 or so). In the meantime, your account is burned. Its not frozen, but if you don't regularly carry a balance there you could get into a continuous debt situation.
I don't know of any time limits on this, all we had to do was find the original transaction code for the transfer and annotate that in the reverse transfer order.
Cancelled checks can be reversed usually in under 2 weeks. The bank may give you the money immediately (at their discretion) when you cash the check, but the check itself can take a week or two to process through the system. If a stop payment order is on that, your bank will receive notice and take that money back out of your account. This did happen to me with a Giftrocket check.

Just spoke with a very very sad person about giftrocket reversing over $600 in transactions. I really wish they had seen this thread because now they're screwed at the first of the month. I know that lots of people are still using this service but you should definitely proceed with caution.

Yes. I've also used IndieBill. LiveCamModelShows is another option.
IMO, 98.7% of the guys who want to use Amazon/GiftRocket/etc are attempting a scam. They get zero benefit out of paying in a different way, other than the potential ability to get their money back. They've done their research and are being shady. Maybe somewhere in the mix, there's a white knight trying to give camgirls the full 100% of funds for her show, but he's surrounded by assholes demanding chargebacks.
It's one thing if you're the one asking a customer to pay in these methods. But I'm very suspicious of guys who bring this up on their own.

Giftrocket will ALWAYS side with the buyer. Same with deliverycode's cash gift option. I use indiebill now for payment processing, along with skyprivate ppm & there's quite literally no reason that a legit custie can't pay using one of those options. If they want to use paypal or gift rocket & refuse any other means of payment, they're scamming you. Still, I haven't found a single landlord or mortgage company that accepts amazon gc's as payment, so the 85% you're getting from indiebill is about as good as it gets without risk of chargebacks.

I do not use GiftRocket ever bc I have heard of horror stories about the CB's. I had my email address in my profile, a numnut sent me $150 for a cam show-even though I said NO like 3 times. I wasn't about to do it. I told him no. So he sent me another $150 as "proof" I blocked his ass. I emailed GR immediately, and asked if there was an issue with the transactions. (I left it in there bc I DO NOT ever link ANYTHING to my bank account.. and it won't link to a business debit card) 2 days later GR emails me and said that there was fraud on the sender's end.
I would have been out $300 and provided a long show for a scammer--
Some one up in the thread said that if a guy brings it up on their own they are usually scamming you. You can do take backs on:
SquareCash
CirclePay
SnapCash
Venmo--It is just a PayPal thing marketed for the 20 something generation
Skrill
And anything else. Also, Porn is against their TOS and they will terminate your account and freeze it in some cases.
IF IF IF you are going to take amazon as a "gift" or "tribute" they can email you a gift card or give you a code--redeem that shit and make sure it is LEGIT before accepting. Orders on a wishlist? Can be cancelled until shipped.
Just easier to go with an adult payment processor. Yes they take a chunk, but it is worth it IMO, for me--no worries on takebacks, CB's, fraud or scammers. It is there instantly. You don't need to worry that 3 days later he is going to ask for a refund

Some people's banks throw fits over their customers using their debit/credit cards with anything adult sounding (or non-mainstream internet) So while I won't say ALL guys trying to use mainstream payment options are scamming, I do take precaution.
One of my banks wouldn't let me pay for a feature spot on CMD and blocked my card the night I signed up for a Burning Angel membership lol. (happened to my husband too, so it wasn't just the girly name that red flagged the transaction) Thankfully, my other bank just sends the "hey is that you" text but when your cock-in-hand the last thing you want to do is start fighting with the little lady working banking customer service to approve your transaction lol
I don't take GR for anything instant (like camshows) they get to wait a week plus until those funds are nicely nested in my work account. No one is paying me tomorrow for a hamburger today. haha
