View Full Version : Since when is "thick" a compliment

Before I bought the Tonalin I did a search on SW and basically everyone on this site dating back to 2002 has called it the miracle pill with fat loss. I'm pretty sure I can speak for JD when I say it was not just 1 thread or person she was talking about.
I know this is not relevant to the super awesome flame war going on, but I'm so over the thick arguments and I would rather rant about how much Tonalin sucks. Fuck you Tonalin!
AGAIN, what works for one, may not work for another.......

^ Haha, all tonalin did was make my once nice ass disappear. lol I think I should go bitch at the asshole who started that thread....how dare they make me lose my ass! Lol,jk. Everybody should just be happy they have the health and the ability to work an an industry that allows such freedom and awesome money. you could have a dissabilty and be a lot worse off, this arguing is silly. Also the good thring is a body is fixable, if you don't like yours you can always change it with dedication and work. It's funny that tempest started this thread but she hasn't even been here to bicker back and forth...she's too busy working on that body.

I'll post pics when I'm done...I'm getting tons of compliments at work because my waist is almost 100% flat now and you can see my ribs but I still carry extra weight on my hips so I'm not satisfied yet. I do fit into pants that I haven't been able to wear since I was 13 so yayyyy for me!
Also, Avery, I'm not sure if you are responding to my posts because you asked me to block you (for reasons I still don't know). Just letting you know that I don't see your posts unless someone quotes you...

Does you paleo diet allow for baked pastries? I just made some amazing pumpkin cookies that are less than 70 calories each!!! I also made these amazing macadamia nut almond muffins a few days ago that keep me full for soooo long and only have 250 calories- they are great for those who like having meal replacement bars/shakes while dieting but are sick of the same bars/shakes they've had forever.

What a coincidence... Because that wasn't written to you either.
I'm not being condescending or rude... Perhaps you should've read the rest of the conversation you're trying to insert yourself in.
Now then. Can we all stop trying to tell me I'm being malicious because it hurts your feelings when I don't agree with you? This is fucking ridiculous at this point.
I agree, btw... That Avery's before and afters are just insane.

Yah my muffins were made with almond flour, I just wasn't sure if you were allowed to bake shit. Here's my recipe, btw:
1 cup almond flour
1 cup flax seed meal (both brands Bob's Red Mill, which I've found at all grocery stores, but there's more selection at Whole Foods)
1 1/4 oz Macadamia nuts (you really need to weigh these on a food scale...cups are so unreliable to measure nuts and macadamia nuts are soooo high calorie)
1/4 cup butter
Truvia or other sugar substitute to taste- only a tablespoon if you want a "healthy" tasting muffin, 1/4 cup if you want a sweet pastry
2 eggs
1 tablespoon Maple Extract
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 cup water (add more at the end if your batter is too dry)
bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Then wrap in saran wrap so you can store them in the pantry for later!
For chocolate coconut muffins, add 3 tablespoons of Hershey's unsweetened chocolate powder and 2 tablespoons of shredded coconut and take out the nuts and flax seed meal. You can also use 1/4-1/2 coconut flour instead of 1 cup almond flour for lower cal muffins (coconut flour is more absorbent so you don't need as much).

Now we're talking cookies! Yummy that way the thick issue isn't an issue (or maybe more an issue, lol). Anyway, I'm a big believer in exercising towards the bodytype you are and don't believe in diets because they rarely work.

Thank. You.
I love you Avery! I'm glad the Tonalin worked for you :) That was totally not directed at you.....
I believe in daily exercise for so many more reasons....... it changes you on every level, mental, physical, emotional, even spiritual. Pushing your body's physical limits take mental strength, telling your body yes, when it's telling your mind no, really gives you this confidence and power that ONLY comes from exercise, nothing else in life gives me this feeling. I get a sick pleasure from pushing past mental obstacles and pushing my body to new thresholds and limits, to the point of collapsing or puking, I don't know why I love it so much. Maybe it's some psychological disorder manifested in a positive way? Like a cutter or bulimic who switches to exercise to get that megalomaniac high.

Are you saying the girl in the picture is fat? or if you have a waist over 30'' you are fat.
Doesn't height and tone come into it?

oh goodness, I hate that show.
Most people don't realize that I was thrown on stage in the most unflattering outfit 4-6 weeks after having a baby since the show was on a time limit.
I was going through post partum and was scared shitless so I was fucking WASTED! Which was even more stupid because I became completely unaware of myself on television and literally let "everything hang out"...what a mess....
I guess, in a way, it was a good thing because it did motivate me to get my ass in gear. Took a few tries, but finally stuck with it and after learning to eat better, and control my portions, finally started getting results.
At 117lbs now, I'm thinner and in better shape than before I even had kids...and I have 2!
I still would like to lose about 2 more lbs, and am working hard on just over all toning, but I have definitely never been this comfortable in my skin. I actually FEEL great. :)
but thanks everyone so much for the encouragement, the motivation and the kind words. It seriously keeps me motivated. :)
so yeah, here's some shamless picwhoring...maybe it can motivate someone else. (lmfao, sorry for the goofy expressions...too lazy to edit my face out lol lol)

^^^ Is that an American TV show? What are the before shots?
Avery, how much weight did you lose? HUGE difference from the show!
Last Fall I was down to about 112, now I'm at around 122, but actually when I was down to 114, I lost A LOT of definition and rippling in my abs. My thighs did get super tiny though, which I loved, but I missed my six pack too much, so I'm happier overall at this weight. My waist is the exact same size, and I still wear a size 0 or 2, but it's definitely tighter in my thighs. Another thing I hated when I was 114 was how much more aged my face looked, I had nasolabial folds for the first time ever! I also had that squiggly vein popping out on my temples, I guess from burning all the fat off my body, I lost some fat/water weight from my face which = aging and wrinkles! I'll take the bigger thighs over that, and actually I'm learning to love my tiny waist with big thighs, can't fight the latina genetics!

I'm saying I've seen a lot of pictures posted that are fat...I've seen your picture and no you are not fat! But 30" is a general guideline (though obviously it's hard to tell exactly). People with waists over 28" are more likely to develop heart disease, diabetes, and other health issues. There are a lot of pictures that are posted where a chick has natural DDs, a big butt, but also has a TON of flab on her midsection (and also on her thighs/arms which I don't think is aesthetically pleasing, but that's just me), so when I see pictures like that all I see are pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. I don't think height really comes into play that much but tone does of course. Some people just need to recognize the difference between tone and being genetically predisposed to not have cellulite. There was a girl at my club that gained something like 50 lbs in a short amount of time but she didn't really get any cellulite and everyone was like "I don't know why customers are calling you fat, you're still toned!!!" Yeah, cause she totally just gained 50 lbs of muscle and bone mass ::).

Thanks so much. I believe I've lost somewhere around 20lbs (I was around 135 or so BEFORE I got pregnant)
I gained 30-35lbs with my pregnancy, so if I count that weight, around 50 or so.
Super glad I'm back in size 0 jeans...like back in highschool! lol ;D
