Last book I read, and LOVED was Shangaii Girls.

quick overview:
In Shanghai Girls, See once again creates a gripping story with believable characters that lets readers live inside a time and place different from our own. Shanghai Girls takes place in Shanghai and Los Angeles during the early twentieth century and follows Pearl and May, two sisters who flee a privileged life in Shanghai when the Japanese invade the city.

I will forwarn you this book WILL make you cry, so make sure you have some kleenex handy.

This sounds good

currently reading Just Sex by Susan Kay Law. probably the worst book I've ever read but I'm one of those people that once I start a book, I have to finish it.
One of my favorite books that I would recommend is A Piece Of Cake by Cupcake Brown.
Garden Of Lies by Eileen Goudge is another fantastic read.
I see some of you are reading Shanghai Girls, I read it a few years ago and loved it!! Has anyone read the continuation Dreams Of Joy? Any good?

Dreams of Joy was just as good. I recommend anything written by Amy tan or Lisa see. I've yet to have a negative exp with any of their novels.

Just read "Daemon" by Daniel Suarez, and I'm almost halfway into the 2nd book. It has pulled me out of the real world for 24 hours and counting, and I'm LOVING IT. Oh - and DEAR GOD IS THIS A SCARY AS FUCK BOOK. Not as in BOO! scary, as in sociopolitical mind fuck that makes "Fight Club" look like "Toy Story".

That's odd..? I'd think they'd give you the choice, lol.

I finished book 2 last night. This guy has jumped into my all-time favorite fiction authors list with one (well, two) book(s). I'm also going to go ahead and speak way above my pay grade here and proclaim this to be quite possibly the single most relevant book in print today. Dead serious.

Been reading Tigana. It's enjoyable but I prefer Raymond Feist's style.
