Quick question ladies. I know the producers are in the room during the countdown, but are they in the room for the entire duration of the actual show once it begins also?

I think so, yes. Their named showed in my show the entire time.

FAIL: I did not get paid by the producers because I met my goal on the site.
Ok so we have already covered the fact that I just started full time, right? So.. my goal was low, based on what I have done in the past. WAY LOW. $60 even though I have been making a goal of $150 lately with no issues. My question is, was it still broadcast on PPV TV? It seems a little unfair (I get it though) to start with such a low goal and have my show broadcast on TV but not gain any revenue for it.
I'm kinda steaming atm. :(
Am I confused or did I just find the weak spot of this TV thing?

How do you know you met the goal on the site? Were all the people who bought into your show known to you from before? (Your regs, etc?) TV viewers have screennames like everyone else, so they will not 'look' any different on your end.
If it is true that only old SM viewers bought into your show, then although your pre-show countdown MAY have been visible on TV, no one on TV got to see your actual show.
Congrats on making your show goal without requiring a 'charity top-up' from SM! This means they may set your goal higher for the next one. :-)

OK. Everyone in my chat room contributed and I got a couple after the show started. There was nothing from, "Producer" on my pay.
Thank you!! I feel better now. I do hope they raise my goal. That was silly! But as stated, I do understand the low start point. I have only been back full time 4 weeks and last week I did some very low gold shows to break my weekly income record without a thought to what it was doing to my average.
P.S. Whoever was in my chatroom at the time, thank you. A smoke break was a good reminder :)

Yeah, just keep on truckin', and it will build.
I think the fact that you didn't get a 'producer' tip is a POSITIVE thing. "Producer" tips are SM's contributions to your show when you don't meet your goal with the organic traffic. The whole point of the TV experiment is to give you exposure to a new audience of viewers in the hopes that they will buy into your show.... if streamate sees that you're unable to entice these viewers to buy in, and that you are constantly needing boosts from SM in the form of Producer tips, they will figure you can't sell a show to save your life, and will give up even sending you TV requests.
So I can understand your disappointment at the low starting goal, but it's kinda understandable. Just keep selling those shows and you're golden. :-)

Thanks for the clarification and encouragement. One thing I do have to say is turning off the music was a little rough. I have dance/gymnastics in my background so I need that beat! LOL
I'll have to work on something where I can get music away from my mic.
Jessica1001
08-30-2012, 12:40 AM
I would feel the same way about the music thing!!! I totally take my rhythm from the grooves I play... unless it's a one-on-one session where I'm just chatting. But yeah, I am sure you'd be able to listen to your ipod with headphones or something, as long as the room can't hear. (It might look a little weird, but oh well!) :-)

I honestly don't understand the garanty goal.
Let's say I opt in for tv and my goal is $400 but guys are only throwing in a total of 200 then how am I going to make a garanty goal of 400?
DiamondCupcakes
08-30-2012, 09:17 AM
The producers pay the difference. So if your $200 away from your goal then they give you that $200. That is how your goal is guaranteed.

I just want to know if opting in one day and out the other is going to affect our placement? Seems that sometimes classic chat is much less glitchy than party chat also. I think just seeing what SM thinks we are "worth" would be interesting enough. I just worry about placement and traffic. I want guys to see me regardless of if I can or can't be on TV

First off I want to *Wave at Dayzie*!!!
Ok, so I read through this entire post and didn't see my answer so here is the question: I've never done a gold show. EVER. So where does that put me? I thought about starting them before I got this email. But since I don't have a gold show history, then what happens? Nothing? Just curious. Also, we have a couples account that we use way more than my solo account. But we haven't gotten an email for that account. I wonder will they offer it to couples..? And if so, we have only done a few gold shows with about $150 goal being met.

I just did my first one. The request came towards the end of my goldshow countdown, so it started a new 14 min countdown and guys had to re-pledge. None of them seemed to mind though. The goal was set ok - $204 for a 10 min show. I made the goal without any need for top ups so can't comment on that. Was a bit more nervous but decided to do it based on SM saying that it won't be rebroadcast.

They did say they were only offering this to female models at the moment so I would assume it would be solo accounts only...? Maybe someone else can confirm.
Also I would think if you don't have a gold show history they probably won't choose you to do a show until you do have a history to base the offer off of. That's my guess...?

A unique twist. I was in a gold show countdown and just as I received a $150 tip towards my $150 gold show which sent me over my goal, TV sent me a request for a $70 gold show.
I did not accept lol.
I keep saying... I am back full time but no one is listening yet *sigh*
I guess it will be next week when I hit #1 spot before they get it.

Hi Sweety! *waves back*
It may be possible that if you try the TV option on your solo account, they may offer you a goal based on your couples account GOLD show history. It would be interesting to see... let us know if you do try it!

I support any girls that are on the Streamate Tv boat.... progress marches forward and I am not about to try to get in its way.
That being said, I am going to wait in the wings for the whole thing to be beta tested by other people. If there is anything I've learned from working with technology companies is that early adopters generally get screwed when major new projects are introduced as random problems crop up that the original programmers never considered.

I got the pop up to do a TV show, accepted it, and then within 15 seconds they cancelled it and a pop up came up saying something along the lines of "Performer did not respond to requested requirement" or something along those lines. I don't know what the requirement was. I wasn't playing music, I had the free chat portion open, and was running from the encoder. Oh well, next time!

They seem to be very anal about the TV rules. I had a popup yelling at me to turn my music off, (as I was turning it off) after accepting the show. Check to make sure you dont have anything on your walls in the background... even something with a small logo on it like a shirt or poster. And make sure you put your beer down too lol, that one I keep forgetting. I literally had to clean off my walls for this TV thing, most of my decorations had brand names on em.

Yeah, my walls don't have anything on them...no logos...I was really looking forward to trying it out!
Ok.... I really wish there was place where SM would tell us about the warnings or requested requirement"that the producer send us....Like a save them for use so we could see them after the fact....I also wish there was a way to message the producer to ask simple questions......
I have gotten warning in one of my tv shows that I did not understand... or clearly remeber.... becase the warning pop up over chat and you cannot do anything to until you hit ok....
then today I got a tv show and it cancels say I did not make the corrections ask of me by the producers But there not even a producer in my room for the who count down... I never was any request for corrections....
I did leave cam t go pee for like 30 sec during the count down that.... that is only I can thing off that could have broken a rule.....
I also not sure if they a stricter about show boobies in the count down and bring your toys out until the show starts.

I haven't had a request yet - kinda sad about that!! But I think that it may be because I don't do gold shows often...
Ah well.
I did e-mail them about music and copyrights (an in, can we play stuff that is in the public domain or that we own) and the answer is no, because they have no way to verify. Makes sense, although it is frustrating. That said, I cammed without music yesterday, and had a really good day....fluke, maybe?
Hoping I get a tv show soon....

But...you did gain revenue...you gained the goal that you met, right? The "producer" only pays out the difference if you HAVEN'T met the goal.
So if your goal was $60, you would either get some from customers (say, $40) and the remaining $20 from the producer. If you get all $60 from customers, you get $0 from the producer. If you get $100 from customers, you get all that, but $0 from the producer.
If you are bothered by the low goal, and you are making better goals now, I would maybe turn off the tv option for a week or so, do a LOT of gold shows, and then turn it back on. They are basing it on your average, so if you have recently started making $150 goals, but for the first little while, you only made $50 goals, you will get offered lower goals for tv shows. The way to get that up is to do more shows with higher goals to up your average....
I am wondering if the TV goals count toward your "average"...anyone know?

Yes. What Jessica said earlier (and you are saying now) is 100% correct. I made the goal without any assistance from the producer so they raised it from $60 to $90. Again, on my higher goal I didn't need any assistance (the producer did throw 1 in though, not sure why) so I can only assume it will be raised again. I'll keep you posted on the next increment. I don't know if they are set increments or if it's individually based on each performer.

WOW.. just wow!! I just got a slap in the face. How is a request for $60 for ya? This morning I just successfully did $90 without help from the producer. No rhyme or reason there. No consistency what-so-ever!

I did one. It was ALOT of pressure personally and I would love to know if while they are beta testing ( doesn't full go into affect until the 5th) we are on LIVE TV. I had to do a sloppy Bj show for medical reasons but the fact that I was being watched really made me not do the normal show I do. I hope the guys even liked it. It was mostly a TV producer and 4 others guys two of which left before the show was up. Mine was set at 198 for 10 minutes with an 8 dollar buy in. I did like that we are guaranteed the goal, I just wish they would take the mandatory FREE users thing off! So annoying. I may try again but know that you don't have much time to put in your topic so copy paste if you can.
I'm kinda iffy about it but it was nice not having to start the countdown 3 times ;)

I dunno. I saw a girl who never did gold shows prior to TV get a TV offer. They set her goal at 100+ but she only raised about $18 and the producer paid the rest. After that she was offered another $100+ show again and only raised $9. Me, I raised $90 in less than 6 minutes on a 10 minute countdown with no help from the producer and they dropped my goal back down to $60 for the next one. There is no rhyme or reason.
I wish I had the answers.

Im really sorry if it upset you.
this thread is read by... people who work on Streamate so the point was to make them read it and make them see what we feel about their decisions...
it is NOT your fault that you were offered $45 goal.
You should have been offered lots more.
all of us should be offered lots more.
Or.. we can choose to opt out.
But there will always be ladies who (as I said in Raise your rates challenge thread) need the money ASAP so for them this is going to look like a gold mine...
They found the holly grail.
Guaranteed goals?
