I have no idea where you live, but normally hotels even for 1-2 nigths a week cost more than renting a room for a month.
I have lived in expensive cities like LA and London and it would be cheaper to rent a room at someone's in both and I suspect everywhere else, you might explain or not the situtation. I doubt some people are going to have a problem with someone who shows up once or twice a week yet pays the rent. Also your room does not have the lock, again don't know which category you cam in but where do you keep the goodies girl ? ;)
You might try something short term, not central and the Internet will be way better than in the hotels.
I am not sure if I am helpful but I have tried :)
Hi all you lovely ladies! I've been lurking on here for a couple months but this is my first time posting. I started camming about a month and a half ago, I'm a broke college student and I thought it would help. Well when I first started (on Streamray/Cams.com) I made a decent amount in about 3 days. Then I moved and took a little break. Came back on one day and it was shit. I made about 4$ during a private show and the guy logged off right away :( Anyways my question is I just moved back in with my parents, of course my bedroom door doesn't even have a damn lock. My sisters and my 2 nieces live here as well so people are always barging in. Would it be worth it to rent a hotel room maybe once or twice a week strictly to cam? I know it's a toss up because I'm worried I wont make much money and I did it all for nothing. Any advice would be great :)

when I lived with my parents I would occasionally take a trip to the local favorite room. It had a hot tub and I was doing well on mfc normally it was a good treat to my regulars. However I would spend most of my time via clip filming.

I've been to a couple of hotels not for camming but I noticed both had 2 internet options....1 was free which was regular speed and the other was suppose to be high speed. I would look into hotels and see if they have the that option. However I remember reading that if you connect to public wifi that others can access your info and what sites you've been on. So my concern would be privacy.
If you're unable to do a hotel you can always buy a lock for your door and cam with no sound.

Basically right now me and my boyfriend are moved out of our homes with no where to stay.
I cannot cam at his family's homes or mine.
We have been bouncing around hotels trying to find a WiFi connection that allows me to stream so I can generate enough income to get an apartment.
The issue were having is it seems there are just no hotels or motels that have a strong enough connection.
Does anyone have any advice or have you done this before and can recommend hotels that do?
Totally freaking out right now. Please help :(
I forgot to mention we're currently at a motel 6 that offers Hugh speed Internet for $5 a day but it seems the ping on a speed test is only 1.50 mbts. We're also in Connecticut.

You could try using your phone internet. I have T-Mobile unlimited and hacked it to allow me to use it as a wifi hotspot. You may be able to do the same. This was almost two years ago, though. Best of luck!
If that doesn't work, try filming some videos.

Why not rent one of those furnished office spaces instead? They will for sure have superfast internet. You can do really cool creative office type role play couple shows.

The wi-fi router is usually located in the motel office. The closer to the signal, the better off you are. Ask the front desk if you can move rooms, or when you check in, always ask to be close to the wifi.
Then just be careful not to be too loud with the sexy noises where office staff can hear you.

I'll just quote what I said in this thread (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?200986-Renting-a-hotel-room-just-to-cam) (which also has a lot of other helpful info):
I did this for a while. It wasn't great but it kept me afloat, however the cost of the room ate up the majority of my earnings, especially with crappy hotel wifi. Definitely film clips, and make sure everyone knows you do customs! Then you can plan all of them for one night. Clips4sale itself was never that great for me (though I've always been terrible about updating--consistency seems to be the key) but their traffic has gotten me LOTS of custom clips which are great money. Then you can turn around and re-sell them forever.
Oh, also--if you do decide to cam then experiment with other sites. I started on SM and when I tried to stream from a hotel room it was MISERABLE. Then I tried IML and it actually worked, kind of. Also, there are speedtest apps available for your phone. When you go to the hotel tell them you need a good Internet connection (if they ask you can tell them you have work/schoolwork to do, whatever), ask for the room closest to a router and ask to test their wifi (this will only work at small, slow places that don't charge for wifi and aren't picky about who they give the password to.) Connect to their wifi on your phone and go to the room they're planning to put you in. It's not perfect (the main place I stayed was built like a bunker so when I tested the signal outside the room it was significantly better than inside) but it'll give you an idea of what to expect.

Make sure you get an ip randomizer no matter where you cam if you use public or high traffic private internet.

Maybe you should consider renting a room off of airbnb or craigslist? It's more affordable than a hotel or motel, and most landlords on craigslist/airbnb have internet included in the rent. I've stayed in 2 rooms before getting an apartment. Both landlords had fast internet.

I'm currently staying in an extended stay type hotel it cost me around 900-1000 a month to stay here. And they have different internet packages one is 10 for basic and 20 for internet that allows you to stream. I can't stream on SM but I can stream on CB. And just imagine what it's like to not be use to token sites to that being the only site you can work when you're about to be homeless. I appreciate the struggle though because it definitely pushes you to improve your hustle. I understand what you're going through and I hope it gets better for you. Try and check out extended stay or value place.

Has anyone had any luck camming from a motel room? I'm just wondering if the internet would be ok to cam from or would I need some kind of hot spot or something similar? Any advice or tips?

I think there's a thread on here about this.
I cammed from a hotel in April.
It kept disconnecting every few minutes, but I still made bank.
I would definitely use a hot spot next time. Even though it uses a lot of data, I'm pretty sure it would be worth it.

Yea. Depends on your location. I would test it out first. Some places put caps on data. I would use a hotspot just to be on the safe side.

You can also look at airbnb, where people rent out their vacation homes or other properties they have. They usually boast their internet speed in the description, plus there's reviews from other people who have stayed at the place that might mention if the internet speed was good or not (that's how I found a place!)
That way you have more options in a single area, and you can email the listing owners directly and ask them how fast the internet in their place is.

Can the people renting the room hear you work? What if they don't like their room being used as a cam studio? How can you tell if they're ok with it or not? I'm actually curious because I've been considering camming on vacation using this method, but I'm too scared!
I've cammed from a Travelodge before. My husband hacked my phone to help tether the connection on T-Mobile. It was ok. I cammed on Streamate at the time and I made enough money to actually cry at the time, haha. It wasn't actually a lot, but even $20 was a huge deal then. It's totally doable if you want to try it out.

I rented out the entire place, not just a room (so if the neighbors hear me - I don't care, they're not the owners!)
They don't need to know I'm a camgirl! I bring my own sheets, my own gear, everything. Keep everything clean and exactly how you found it, and follow all the house rules (No smoking, no pets, no guests, whatever, etc.) I live in a realllly hipster, open-minded city, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable telling someone what I do for a living. If I was escorting and bringing strange men into someone's home, then that would be really wrong.
All I need is a roof over my head temporarily while I sort out a long term lease. It's the same with hotels - you don't exactly tell them you plan to use their room to cam from :P You're not breaking any laws!

Thanks! That answers a lot of my questions. Renting a whole house in airbnb is a great idea! I guess I was just thinking that a room would be much more...personal. A house makes a ton of sense, and is totally do-able. You should really check this idea out if you have the money, OP! :)
I totally agree, escorting is a completely different animal.

I wouldn't tell them I'd be camming if it were me, I just don't consider it anyones business, even if it is under someone elses roof. Plenty of dudes jerk off in showers when they are away from home visiting friends, family, etc. but I don't think the homeowner would expect to be told about it (hopefully lol). I understand that it is someone elses house but I just consider camming something to be very personal...plus they might decide to try finding you if they knew, and there aren't many things I find as creepy/strange as knowing someone I know went out of their way to find me on cam, and succeeded :-\ It's happened, unfortunately.

I was living in a motel and camming from there for about 2 months. I did it wirelessly and was able to live decently off it. I think you would need to test the internet, but I was renting from a weekly craphole and did fine. Maybe just watch how thin the walls are etc. I always worried that people thought I was doing incalls.
Utilize the motel! Do shower shows, take pics, take advantage of a different surrounding.
Oh and unscrewing the shades off all my lamps helped a LOT with lighting.

What internet company did u use? The wifi at the hotel, or a hotspot?
I'm going to be traveling a lot this winter, and would like to cam while I do.

No, I don't think it's worth it to be spending $70 or up (or whatever the motels/hotels near you charge) just to have the privacy to cam for a day. Camming is just too unpredictable. When you're away from home and staying in a hotel room, you're probably also gonna have to go out and spend money on your meal(s) at a nearby fast food restaurant or something. That's more money being spent right there. And as stated above, hotel internet usually isn't that great. You wouldn't want to be on cam with your video all screwed up like that, and having cam site members complaining about your video being all screwed up.
Just cam from home at times when you have the MOST privacy that you're gonna get. Times when everyone else is in the rooms asleep or glued to the T.V and not walking around in the hallway shouting your name. Just in case someone does decide to start shouting your name while you're working, you could maybe keep your mouse's cursor hovered over the 'Stop broadcasting' button (or whatever it says)...that way, you don't miss a beat if you need to exit your chat ASAP. If you can think fast, if someone in your house begins shouting your name, make a really loud clearing-your-throat noise or cough while you're exiting your chat asap. Lol. I'd hate for people in your chat room to find out your real name like that. Like someone else said, have music playing. If you think other people in the house would actually unlock the door and barge in (you can unlock a bedroom door using your fingernail or a penny), I guess just be quick about covering up your toys (and boobs, if they're out...lol). And don't have any sex toys turned up high in Turbo Mode. Lmao.

Airbnb is the only way to cam away from home! I'm doing it right now and have done it the last 2 months. I'm quiet and keep them dirty talk to a minimum...vanilla. I have lost privates because they want loud dirty talk but that's just the way it is for now. I also have 2 cats and a small dog I'm dragging around with me....its hard! I have two more weeks and then I get my own place. I just tell people I do web work and have to chat with clients. They really don't care. Get a room with a lock is important!! I've had great to good internet at all airbnb. Just ask the host what it's like.

Definitely go the airbnb route if you have no other place to cam from, but DO YOUR RESEARCH!
It can be pricey if you only want to stay a day or two (because cleaning fees and airbnb's fees etc.) but it can be worth it if you want to stay long-term.
I'm currently staying at an airbnb right now (since November 2015) and I booked it until May 2016. I got lucky, and did a lot of looking around when I was living with my cousin - found a place in the city that has business-class internet + free utilities, laundry, etc. and is a 10 minute walk to the grocery store. (I have the whole studio apartment to myself, so I'm not too worried about making sexy noises) and the people who own it never bother me, only email me to see if everything is going well. (Like I said, I got lucky! It took a few weeks just to find this place)
I'm staying here until I can clear my student loans completely and raise my credit score, and then move into my own real grown-up apartment. The airbnb is expensive, it takes a whole weeks worth of camming to pay the rent, but it's worth it to me, that gives me the rest of the month to work and pay off my debt.
**EDIT** ALSO if you need a lock but aren't allowed to install anything, use an Add-A-Lock! $20 from Amazon, and they work with almost any door. No installation necessary and they work really well :) You can also take them with you if you have to travel a lot!

If you do decide to rent from a hotel I'd suggest looking for an extended stay one. It may not be as luxurious as a 5 star hotel but they'll usually cut you a deal for renting a week or so at a time. These usually will have kitchens, living rooms etc so it wont feel so hotel-y. It's up to you though, if you think you can earn enough to make it worth it. If anything you can write off the hotel cost as office fees.

That's my goal this year! In fact I found the studio apartment I want this last Friday. Very nice, clean, great location and good reviews. My husband and I have been talking about this since I first started camming. I have a school age child who will be old enough to come straight home on the bus next school year. So that will cut my cam hours a lot. Right now my kid goes to an after school kid's club until 6pm.
My plan was to find a nice studio apartment to cam from. I really don't like camming from our family home anyway. (I have to hide a ton of toys every day) I want my business OUT of the house. So I found the apartment I want, and will be going in first of Feb to put a deposit and hold on the next available studio. Yes!! Once I've moved my cam stuff there and get comfortable I can have camgirls stay there if anyone would like to cam together or make clips together. I can afford it on my own since my kid won't be going to after school camp once I'm moved in. Would be nice to find a local girl who would split the rent with me. I'm open to that too.

Hello,
I am going to the USA for a couple months. I made the mistake of assuming that I could buy a mobile internet source (like a usb stick or a hotspot) with an unlimited plan. Yes, I will be staying at a hotel with wifi, but I highly doubt it will be fast enough for good cam session. I was checking out AT&T's date calculator and it looks like I would need at least 60gb of data a month, but the biggest plan they offer is 8?! And I don't want to pay 10$ for every 2gb after the initial 8. So, are there any no contract internet plans I can get monthly in the US suitable for camming from a hotel room? Any & all ideas are very helpful!
Thanks

I already booked the first month in the hotel. I'm a little scared of Airbnb...I've already been canceled on once, and have heard many horror stories about last minute cancellations. But a lot of the women on stripperweb seem to like it? Maybe I'll check that out for the 2nd month. Thanks :-)

I always email the Airbnb listing and ask which internet package they have and if their router has Ethernet ports. Tell them you work online and most of your business is conducted via client video conference calls so you need to make sure the Internet is sufficient and doesn't drop out during calls. The last thing you want is to appear unprofessional with your clients.

Also, I always get my own apartment for privacy. I would venture to guess that you would only encounter snoopy/nosy problems if you booked a room or shared room. Just book your own place. It's affordable and you get all the privacy you want

btw I would only use it in usa and am us citizen

I can suggest Verizon's Hot Spot Jetpacks. You won't find any unlimited but they work. I used mine for about 2 weeks and cammed just fine on it. I think I had up to 10 upload speeds. It got expensive so I suggest you budget for the full 3 weeks or check out airbnb like someone else suggested. You can get a whole house for as low as $69 a night depending on where you look with high speed internet. I recently traveled out of the US and cammed fine from my Airbnb home.

I've thought about getting the karma one as well but it's for people who have more than a few weeks to wait as shipping takes ages supposedly. I called them and they said it would be around $150, and $50 a month after for the kit or something like that. Also, that I would need to wait 3-5 weeks for them to ship it out because they were backed up or something. They said they would offer paid expedited shipping in the future, but that it wasn't an option at the time. I would love to try it but I'd do my research on it to see if it would be mobile if I were you.
