It sucks because they can affect me, but I can't affect them. They can always close their front door if mine is open and I blast music (I have never done that) and then it wouldn't be very loud for them. And anyway, they could walk to the back of their apt to their bedrooms, and well, I cannot do that because I live in a studio. Their door faces my apartment. My door faces out to the street. The only way I can avoid them when they're loud is by hanging out in my bathroom at the back of my studio.
I think I am going to talk to her about getting a 2 month subletter or something. I want to move December 1 if I can, Jan 1 at the latest I think. If she says no to the subletter, I will text her right before subletter moves in and say "Heyyyyy my cousin is going to rent the place for a month or 2, just letting you know! I'll still be there off and on (lie)" or something so she can't disagree. But yah I think that's what I'm going to do. I just can't deal with this.
Dude, don't talk to her, she doesn't deserve that level of consideration. Give her the same level she's given you. Sublet it--She's leaving so she won't know about a sublettor for months. You bills/obligations to her are covered AND you've lined a a fresh new tenant for her!! Win/Win! If you wait until January you may lose so much restand be such a nervous wreck that you can not function. You already know this chick is not picky who she rents to so get her a warm body (DON'T tell them the sitch with her) and get gone to a sane place. I recommend a sublettor who is just like the young guys so they'll all feel at home. If she wasn't a cheap b*tch, she renovate and make it one large unit instead of luring unsuspecting tenenants to their doom with that wraparound bullsh*t.
