My fatass bengal decided to "play" with the little one while she was asleep. Slammed his ass on her side and possibly broke her leg at midnight on a Saturday, with a two-hour minimum wait for the emergency vet :( This was after a historically slow Friday at work, during which I also broke my phone, and following a week in which my car battery died and nearly caught fire being jumped.
So, yeah, hopefully that's the rest of my year's bad news thrown all together to make way for the good?

I don't understand why there are so many people who are ultra dependent on their boyfriend/husband or finding one. Can't you just be happy focusing on your own life? I really don't care what other people do, but I just see this situation left and right so much that its kind of hard to ignore. Even though every other post I read on SW now is about how their bf/husband abuses them and they don't know what to do (ask them to stop a couple times and if they don't, then walk away?), its everywhere.
Its kind of... disturbing that the sole reason its gotten to this point, where women are obsessed with doing anything they can to keep an abusive bf/husband (even going as far to say they aren't abusive when the behavior speaks otherwise), is because we are taught when we're little that we NEED to find a S/O, get married, and have kids.
I'm really interested to see what the world will be like in 50-100 years when the generation of women who believed in these values (that are not realistic in today's technologically-advanced society anymore) have died off.

Those posts disturb me and I will never understand these women who stay. If I was dating a man and he hit me I wouldn't stay (and in fact would hit him back and tell my dad what he did because my dad has a temper). I'm actually to the point that if I don't ever marry I am okay with that and prefer it to settling with someone that repulses me physically or morally. Speaking of which, I will never understand the women here who had babies with men they knew wouldn't stick around then ask how they can get him back or for him to be responsible. I remember one post about this person who was taking baby daddy to court but he had other baby mamas. I wanted to scream WHY DID YOU HAVE A BABY WITH THIS LOSER? Men with multiple baby mamas to most women would be a serious warning flag.

Great stripper success: other strippers and waitresses can't tell whether my boobs are fake.
Of course, that means I end up letting at least two girls a night get eye-level with my boobs and carefully squeeze/inspect them, but I'll count it as a compliment all the same.

Oh my god. My cat's injury ended up being two different fractures with bone fragmentation. It is going to be between $3,000-3,500 to repair. I know some people think that's insane to pay for an animal, but I don't agree. She's barely a year old and in otherwise perfect health. It was a freak accident that wasn't at all her fault, and she is an extremely sweet, intelligent, and aware little creature. Putting her down over this simply isn't an option. We're getting her the help she needs, but it's basically the worst possible timing. My mother is having surgery in one week (cancer), and a whole lot of other things are happening. I'm just physically ill from the stress and will have to max out a credit card to do this. Once this is all over and paid off, I will never take not being in debt lightly again.

Well, all the people who didn't want to have kids, didn't. They never passed on that particular trait to any offspring. So that trait disappears over time. Evolution doesn't favor the smartest, the most responsible, etc. It favors the guy with 10 baby mamas.

Love that movie and at one time was online though Comedy Central plays it a lot. We are definitely moving into an era where 20 years from now (or sooner)almost everyone who has kids will be a baby daddy/baby mama. Creepy to think the Ph.D's will be phased out because many didn't have kids but those who indiscriminately had sex with anyone like animals will be spreading their seeds. Stupid will be the new smart and really stupid will be average. Books won't be read because they won't know how to read.

We were talking about past dating experiences and when I told him I've dated older guys before he alluded to the idea that my ex must've been going through a midlife crisis if he was dating me. :( Aww.. How do people look in the mirror and love what they see? I don't think I will ever have the confidence that some people have. I look at people and think "where the hell did you get that from? You are not that great." :/ I can't chop my head off.

I hate looking at myself in the mirror too because I look for flaws. Some people either like how they look or think they are better looking than they are.
