so I was preparing to go to the club tonight, and part of my regime is to repaint my nails. I wiped off the old polish off my toes with acetone and underneath the color I find... a purple toenail. What. The. Fuck. It's been 6 days since I danced, so I hope the bruise isn't permanent damage. :( It doesn't hurt or anything, but I am scared to go dance tonight. Maybe I should wait until the purple is completely gone?
... this is why I need a real job and also go into sugaring.

I really like the librarian at my new town's library. She's so helpful, and thorough. So much nicer than those old, jaded, rude bitches at my other library in the city.
She also told me about a free class that helps members figure out how to download the books online app., just in case I can't figure it out myself. She's so cute!;D

Well unfortunately it's a racial slur......hopefully it's antiquated enough that he won't get the poor maintenance dude beat up though! And on the same topic that night I was hanging out with said landlord and he wanted me to play that Bruno Mars song 'You're Amazing' on my laptop for him(because he's like 90 and unable to look up music for himself) and he thought it was sang by a girl. So I was like 'It's actually a guy singing it,' and he was like 'Wow he really sounds like a girl.' LOL. Then when the video comes on and he sees Bruno for the first time he goes: "Oh he's a schwarze," and I was like 'Actually I think he's like Hawaiian.' I just wikipedia-d Bruno and apparently his dad was half-Jewish so I'm going to tell my landlord that the next time I see him. He's so old I think it might make his brain explode though.

My mom's dad was Jewish and according to her DNA test results she's 58% Jewish and I'm 29% which is my biggest percentage chunk. I always figured my biggest ethnicity chunk was Armenian but apparently I'm only about 8% Armenian.

That sounds like it makes sense b/c under USSR rules Jewish people hid their lineage...Your Jewish forbears most probably did that by identifying as Armenian...

My mom's dad was 100% Jewish but it was her mom that was Armenian, which she was but she was more of a mutt then we assumed. She was part Armenian, part Greek/Italian and part Jewish. We found out that my mom was the result of an affair though, we didn't know until the testing that her dad was the Jewish guy, she thought her dad was a Spanish and French guy.
When I was a kid we had elderly Armenian relatives that would make huge Armenian feasts from scratch every time we visited....as a kid I thought it was gross but man I wish I could go back in time and eat all that now that I'm such a foodie.

Ant man was SO good!!!
It was? I love all the superhero stuff but the trailers for Ant Man didn't really grab me. Maybe I'll check it out. I wonder why they didn't make the Hank Pym version, since he was a founding Avenger and the creator of Ultron in the comics. The new Terminator is getting awful reviews, but I'm tempted anyway, partially because of Emilia Clarke.
I hope there's a scene in a future episode of "Game of Thrones" where Dany and Cersei meet, so we can see two Sarah Conners face off...

I hope they get Linda Hamilton in there too. And Ant-Man was really good, Michael Peņa and Paul Rudd are both hilarious.

I feel the same way about Ant Man. The trailers didn't get me all excited about seeing the movie. They are so many movies that I want to see, but I just don't make the time to see them or I'm doing something else. I haven't even seen Jurassic World or Age of Ultron. I might just go see them at the dollar movies.

Everytime I apply for a job online, even though I know I've proof read my CV a thousand times and so have the 5 other people that have looked over it in the last month, and I have my cover letter template that has also been looked over by 3 other people and I've proof read the parts I've changed 10 times at this point... I'm so nervous to press "send" because a part of me is like "no there must be a typo somewhere! read that over paragraph again, the last one... are you sure the name is right?" once I have everything done and ready to go, fifteen minutes always passes before I actually press send as I go to proof-read something I proof-read 100 today already.
I hate looking for work.

Just got back from "Ant Man." Liked it quite a bit; it was a very different movie than "Age of Ultron." The beginning is almost exactly like that of "Batman Beyond."
Wish the actor who played Paxton had been the main villain; he was a great psychopath on "Boardwalk Empire."
The shrinking/enlarging discs were a neat idea, but they raise all sorts of questions. Like, why not hurl a few of them at a farmer's market and feed the entire world? Shrink all the garbage and put it into a small Ziplock instead of landfills? Build model houses for a few bucks, then enlarge them for the homeless? Just about any limited resource (fresh water, donor blood, and so on) could become unlimited with that technology. The benefit seems to outweigh the danger presented in the film.
Liked the subtle allusion to Spider-Man now existing in the Marvel Movie Universe.
Yeah, I was crushing on Evangeline Lilly quite a bit. You just knew she was going to end up with a Wasp suit.
But that end credits scene? After getting NONE with "Age of Ultron," I was hoping for something better than that.

Yes. I am sad that he will reportedly have little screen time in GoT. I don't know anything about the potential characters he may play, but it would be interesting to see him in more of a "good guy" role.
Deadwood was a good show. McShane and Olyphant were perfectly cast. McShane played a man like Al Swearengen (who was actually said to be even worse in real life) and actually made you like him. And the writers literally raised profanity to an art form. :) HBO totally screwed them out of a fourth season. Then they got our hopes up with a promise of a mini series, but that fell through, too. They should still do it, now that Olyphant is done with Justified (also a damn good show). Just set it after the fire which destroyed much of the town (I think it happened a few years after season three took place). History itself gives them a reboot.

I totally believe the real Swearengen was much worse. The Wild West was a real nightmare until the railroad could reach towns...IMO that'w why Midwesterners are so comically repressed, it was a free-for-all until the Gov. & Big Business came to town to put order to things. They also gave away land to farmers to speed up the settling of the region.

I'd love to know the circumstances of his death. He reportedly died from a "massive head wound," but nothing else is known. I remember reading that he was completely broke when he died, despite the Gem Saloon pulling in thousands a day.
I just saw a cheesy documentary about Seth Bullock. The actors they have playing Bullock and Swearengen really make you appreciate Olyphant and McShane.

You know it's time to stop looking at an artist's portfolio when the following happens:
1) You're looking to get a cover up and they suck so bad at doing cover ups that you wonder what went through their mind that they thought it was a good idea to put the HORRIBLE after shots it in their portfolio.
2) A chick walks in to get a piercing and asks, "Will you take my ID if it is expired?"
Chick at counter, "Sure, why not?"
Chick getting piercing, "Awesome! The last shop I was at refused to take it. They said it was probably fake"
Yaa....
