I love that I get to be 'Head Hoe In Charge' with my own pink slip. Not having anyone to answer to, work whenever I please, making a lot more than minimum wage. Getting praised by men all over the world. There are definitely way more pros than cons.

Because I hate leaving the house to chase money. That's some dumb shit, to me. I like to wake up, get naked, get money, and get back into my onesie. There's no way I'm leaving the house for $8.00/hr or whatever minimum wage may be. Fuck a bunch of that.

I was listening to a couple of my friends talk the other day. They were excited about getting $20 an hour. I remember when that used to excite me too. It took everything inside of me not to burst out laughing and keep my mouth shut as I do not like to brag (they know what I do).

On another note... my former boss just called and asked if I would consider coming back (I was an accounting manager). I honestly did burst out laughing so hard I cried; instant reaction.
I told him.. "I am sorry, but I now am my own boss, I work PT, and make more money then you paid me. I wish you luck." FELT SO GOOD!!!!! I was on salary and worked massive amounts of hours, I was a slave.

I could go on and on and on about what I love about this, but most of it is pretty much already stated here. :-)

I was just fired from my vanilla job. Not that I'm proud of it, but my boss fired me for "eating on the job" and she was very rude about it. I knew I needed to quit my minimum wage job but I needed a push. I was always saying to my boyfriend "I would earn so much more if I quit that stupid job" and now I don't need to worry about it anymore.

Anyways so when she fired me she said "so what are you going to do now?" I said "work more at my other job which pays more." She said "why didn't you eat on their time?" "I said "I do, I work from home." Then, she says "why should I care about that?" I shrugged and said bye and left.

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it, and that's why I stayed for so long. Just the pay was so bad ... like whenever their payment went through to my bank account, I barely noticed it because it was so little, lol. if anyone was wondering, I worked at a cosmetic counter giving makeovers, which I loved, but it's not worth how bad the pay is.

Anyways, this ties in to why I love camming so much. I don't have to worry about being fired for stupid reasons, like eating ... LOL.

I think I may just give SM a shot. Another also VERY helpful and supportive cam girl here suggested the same, and I tried to respond but her PM box is full. When I made that payout my rate was actually $2.99. I believe I was working roughly 6-12 hours a day on the days when I made my quota (which, at 60%, I would insist upon making $800+/day; only did that once, lol). I hardly ever did it in a straight-shot. I would either do half in the morning and half at night, or interspersed throughout the day. I would average between $50-$100 per hour. I suppose it never really occurred to me that I could be making more than that. I grew up in a very 'humble' living situation financially, my Mother making about $9.50/hour, so to me, at 19, $50-$100/hour was pretty fantastic. That said, I'm not an idiot - if I can make more, and with less emotional strife, that is definitely the way I'd like to go!

OMG. Working that many hours at LJ for $2.99!!! I'd be in a mental institution after a week of that. That site is horrible!

I admire you for being able to tolerate it. I am sure you will be much happier elsewhere.

For all of the occasionally 'irksome' daily annoyances that we as cam girls sometimes face, what keeps you doing this? Also, when you're tired of it or sick of the 'customers', what (besides financial reasons) makes you come back, rather than pursuing a different form of employment?

J.

A member has never asked me this question. In return I would kindly ask the same. Then go in hard on questions. Yeah, never been asked. Guess I look the part ;)

I get PAID to make fun of guys, and if someone acts up I don't ever have to put up with it! I can't ever go back to an office.

I already posted once, but I recently came across another "thank GOD I'm a cam girl" moment.

A friend of mine asked for advice on an issue he was having in his office, an issue where he had to make a decision on how to act, and both choices had negatives and potential job side effects where he could lose his job.
And all I could do is say "Sorry, it's been awhile since I've had to deal with office-politics..." and as I said it, I realized that NOT having to deal with those politics has made my life sooooo much less stressful.

THANK GOD I FOUND CAMMING! :)
