I will never judge someone nor their story hence I do not live in their shoes.

Possibility of this happening ~ in the ghetto yes. Beat down in the ghetto, yes. Payed back in the ghetto, yes. You dont want to fuck up n the, ghetto.

Ghetto girls post on this forum , yes. A little dramatic? Welcome to the ghetto. Code of Conduct in the ghetto is way different than suburbia.

Just glad to read the money was recovered one way or another. Hope the packages can be recovered as well.

Don't know if this story is true or not. But it is possible to steal someone else's check and cash it esp at one of those check cashing places because alot of them don't ask for id. Years ago before I started using direct deposit someone stole my $3800 refund check and cashed it. So it can happen even when you don't live in the ghetto. I really hate thieves.

Yes I eventually got that $3800 but it took awhile because they had to do an investigation. It was a HORRIBLE experience!

SO TRUE, so damn true its funny. The more someone stands out the more they are feared. IDKY but its the truth. The is that old saying , something about barking and biting, old school ppl preach this all the time. I forget how it goes. Basically barking loud is just barking, the silent ones come up and bite your ass when unexpected
...and honestly females{from the ghetto} are more than likely to brag thinking they're big and bad....complete idiots. I don't think the OP was lying, was just wondering why others did.

I don't even live in "ghetto" never did, however we might be considered barbarian... Going to court cause you've been beaten up? Rarely... cause you'll get beaten up again for that then...

I know it's not nice, and I studied law, but when we had some problems with the ex owner after purchasing this property, we had some choices, and the "you tell him, you will beat the shit out of him, if he says no" solution woulda been the only one that worked. Well he said yes, so there was no need for it fortunately. But going to court? It costs shitloads of money, and they are so slow, it takes years to have some progress. So the "I beat the shit out of you if you don't pay up" is a very fast, effective, and common solution.

I'm not judging anyone here, I just think the story doesn't add up. That's not a judgment of her, it's just my opinion on the contents of her post.

And yah, sorry, I live in an upscale Dallas suburb. I am not familiar with the rules of the ghetto, thank God. If this is par for the ghetto then.... congrats OP for perpetuating your condition and the stereotype associated with "the ghetto".

I agree that it was probably someone you know. I got a check once that was made out to me. We had bills to pay so my mom asked the bank if I had to go with to cash the check. The bank told her no all I had to do was sign it and she could deposit it
as for cashing it that is harder to do depending on where you go. Whenever I went to cash a check they always check ID. But if it was someone you know with the same last name they could have just faked your signature and put the money in there bank account. I would get payoneer. I believe like someone else said you can get direct deposit to your bank through payoneer.

LOL i live in a upscale suburbia as well and hate it! The people here are so fake. I did it for the kid, ( she hates it as well) would much rather be in the inner city. There is a COC in "ghetto" prone areas. Just the way it is and has always been. Usually the cops do not get called but some areas have high patrol or sub stations placed in the higher crime areas. If a person was not raised that way, looking from the outside it does seem dramatic. Yes, there are silent rules just as there are silent rules in upscale areas i.e. unless living among others who live your lifestyle do not talk about what is done behind closed doors. Some stereotypes are very true. Some are not.

The only reason why I posted on this thread (I was watching this thread anyways to see the outcome)

What may not be realistic to others is very realistic situations for others. (If that makes sense) ;)

Sometimes when posting in rage, the post will not make sense. I'm trying for the benefit of doubt. I would hate to think posting on a forum for "bragging rights" would make someone feel better. Ya know? That doesn't make sense.

But also LOL - I'm thinking if you're "undocumented" here then getting arrested for battery is probably very bad news. I'm having a hard time buying this one myself :D

now that im clam and mellow and bouncing off my walls in joooooy, i can write back to you ladies.
THANK YOOOOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR CONCERN, I REALLY TO APPRECIATE. :-*

You are funny...haha! Congrats on getting your HARD-EARNED MONEY back! :) Yeah, I probably would've been ready to fight too (or at least would've given a good tongue-lashing), if I had overheard some bitch bragging about stealing my hard-earned money.

And I think it sucks that people are questioning whether your story is true or not. Something like this may be UNLIKELY, but it's certainly not IMPOSSIBLE. I already mentioned in a previous post what happened to me and my $1,200+ check some years ago. Sometimes there really are people working at places of business who don't know what the fuck they're doing, or they're just careless about how they do their job. It would be nice if the mailman got the mail right every single time and didn't send me my neighbor's medication in the mail, but sometimes people really do screw up. Trying to get them to admit they screwed up is the hard part...lol. Either way, I'm glad you got your money back, REDDBONE!

LOL, this isn't my first account. I used to post here quite often a couple years ago, but it got kind of crazy so I deleted and kept it moving. That's why I decided to wait a little longer this time to speak up. If it turns back into dramaville, I'll retreat back into my cold, hard shell ;D

'Teh Cr4zy' of a couple years ago was pretty much exorcised by the awesome loveshooks and the amazing Isobel when they became mods of CC.

We still get outbreaks of 'Teh Cr4zy' but nothing like the 'Teh Cr4zy Plague' of a couple years back.

Some now say she was nothing more than a mere myth, dreamed up by bored sex workers to entertain each other on bad nights... but rumor has it that if you search the deep, dark depths of StripperWeb when the moon is full, you can still hear her haunting cry... "Relative" being the keyword there. Relative newness. Anyone who wasn't around at least since 2005-ish is new to me. LOL! I was here 2002-2009. So ya, relatively new still fits in context. All the stuff / people I mentioned happened before I left. Hence, mod wouldn't have even known what I was talking about, and mistakenly assumed I was "outing" people when I in fact, most definitely was not. ALL of the stuff I mentioned happened in the public boards and was WELL-KNOWN to the whole community at the time. So there was nothing remotely "outing" in my post.

I haven't received any PM about it, so if there is a legitimate issue I'm missing, I am sure I'd get a message.

Anyway, point being, I know better than to out people and don't do it :)

I just saw this thread and for all of you who ever have mail come up missing, especially checks, debit/credit cards, or checkbooks, ALWAYS report it to the postal inspector. I had neighbor jack my financials (debit card etc) after my apartment complex switched my apartment for another one last minute after I'd already moved. I told my neighbor that I had school-related stuff coming in the mail (I actually did) and to give me my mail in my name. She slammed her door in my face. I called my bank and found out that she'd gotten the mail that day and cleaned out over a grand (as a student, that was like all my summer work money). Visa reimbursed me, but she then proceeded to write so many checks with my new checkbook that she kept reopening my account after it closed (which is a HUGE pain in the ass). The local police were of no help, so after a little research I contacted the Postal Inspector. They were VERY helpful, called me, and got as much info as possible. OPENING AND/OR USING SOMEONE'S MAIL IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE. Within a few months, she had her going-away party for jail.

Your profile says that you've only been around since 2012 so this must be a new profile for you. What happened to the old one?

I do know who you were gossiping about. I'm sure you've noticed that since you've been away the tone of the boards have changed. We *try* to keep it low on gossip and negativity. This means that bringing up years-old drama by peoples names is unnecessary and outing. At the least it inspires people to go back through and look up all this old crap. At the worst it opens old wounds from people who may have reformed and don't wish to have old mistakes thrown back in their faces.

There's really no reason to bring it back up. There are other, more positive ways of showing everyone you're a stripperweb insider.

You went to look for it because you read about it here, yes? So now you associate that name with drama because someone here was gossiping about her, not because you went and found the thread while searching for SM and came to your own conclusion. We leave posts up unless they're harmful or super offensive, so that people can come to their own conclusion. There's a big difference between burying something, allowing it to stay up, and talking about it/linking to it to tout it.

As Nikki mentions below, that thread is full of useful information, as are other threads with dramatic/mean people in them. We don't want to gut the forums of all useful (or less than useful) things other members say but we don't want to devolve into a hen yard where we just endlessly bring up old threads, gossip and embarrass people. It's cliquish and mean and can breed an environment where people are afraid to comment or post (what the forum was like when I joined in 2008 ). Besides, rehashing and gossiping about people who upset us is a great way to show trolls exactly what to do and how to be famous.

Glad the OP got her money back. The story was crazy, but I believe it. I can tell by her username and demeanor that she probably doesn't mess around. That being said, that shit can and DOES happen. I've lived on both sides of the tracks and living in suburbia doesn't necessarily hide you from being criminalized. I live in a gated military community myself and people still try it. I've lived in penthouses, people still try it. The battery charge doesn't sound all of that crazy to me.If you put your hands on someone, or someone accuses you of doing it, they will arrest you and charge you. The ghetto is home for a lot of people and you have to do what you can to survive while there. Most people there would've cold cocked their neighbor for cashing their check.

If I could use my old account I would. I had it "banned" (ie, I literally ASKED for the "banning") around the beginning of 2009 because I was sick of dramarama from previous ownership. It still exists and my posts from that account are still here, last I checked. I was also here for a while more recently but old daddy-o locked that account when he figured out who I was. If someone in charge knows how to unlock an old account and wants to do it, I'd happily post away under my original one which was started in 2002.

As for my supposed "outing" people: I have no interest in rehashing old drama - I was merely responding to someone's question, pointing out VERY OLD stuff that most people here wouldn't even remember, to illustrate the point that yes indeed people will make up shit for attention on a forum and it's happened plenty of times on this very forum. I assumed such old crap wouldn't matter because 1) it was all PUBLIC, 2) it's so old it likely won't even come up on searches and 3) the only people who would remember it are either long gone or old as dirt and would just laugh and move on!!! lol.

I also have no interest in rehashing old drama from previous owner and the reason I came back now and haven't tried to hide who I was is I'm assuming new owner won't give a shit about years-old, irrelevant water under the bridge :)

On the topic of the no outing rule, if merely talking about things that happened in the past IN PUBLIC on this forum is considered "outing", then that should be put in the definition and publicly stated so people aren't accidentally "outing" people for things they did/said IN PUBLIC. Though I'm thinking anyone would be hard-pressed to prove that talking about any PUBLIC happenings can really be defined as "outing". LOL :)

It is actually scary how easy it is to cash other people's checks in the United States. Check out 'The Art of the Steal' by Frank W. Abagnale if you want to give yourself nighmares for weeks about identity fraud.

I am so glad you figured out who took your check! I hope they toss your neighbours ass in jail. Stealing someone's check over Christmas. Fucking low!

girl i had my SSN# stolen before, trust me it is a nightmare i will never forget! i mean with all the new technology these days, you should of seen the documents this lady made at her HOME! they looked so real. she had a passport on my name which she was traveling the world with, i had bank accounts in places i never even heard off. and thing that suhked is i had just turned 18 so alllll my credit was messed up by the time i found out i was 20 so imagine the crap i had to go thru. i looked up that book going to give it a whirl, got it on google books for $11.99 and yes she is in JAIL and my charges was dropped because of how the situation was, i just have to take some anger management classes which i dont mind think it will be useful cause i could of handled it better but i was so angry at the time i couldn't even think straight. her mom asked me to come to court with me and speak on my behalf, i felt so bad for that lady she lost so much money because of her OWN DAUGHTER. i didn't know how much money it was till she was talking at court omg and this girl was sitting there grinning like it was a joke! i wanted to just jump over the cop and kick her in her face man! she has no idea how lucky she is to have a mother like that, i mean in the place i live you be happy to have a mother that's home and feeds you. Jesus people are so unappreciative these days!

I was actually kind of starting to believe the original post... but now... I really um....... yeeaaaaaah.

So you're now saying you caught your neighbor bragging about stealing your check, and then you what? Beat the shit out of her? And now all is good? If this is really what you did I'd be more concerned about going to jail rather than court for battery...? Two wrongs don't make a right... she could have gotten in trouble for stealing your check, now you face jail for beating the shit out of someone over it.

I'm not buying any of this anymore, sorry.

And if it is true, I hope that "fat" check was worth it.

yes i heard her bragging about cashing my check and no i didn't just go straight up to her and started beating on her, i was listing for awhile before i went and ASKED her about it so i was sure it was my check but when she started with the attitude and saying she dont care its gone now,get out her face ... yes then i beat the shit out of her. i know how i handled the situation could of been better but over where i live you cant make these girls do what they want with you because they qunna get out and do the SAME SHIT to you again. you let them know where you stand so they dont cross that line again, to wrongs dont make a right .. yea you right but we probably grew up in to different worlds sweetheart so how i handle things and how you do it will never be the same. i would of never seen jail time for a battery charge because the judge know when she see my face in her court room it has to be a damn good reason, i got hit with anger management classes so so yes my fat check was worth it because now i can work on my anger. personally i could careless if you think i came on here just to write a story, i just wanted to let things out because it was eating up at me and i had nobody to talk to at the moment.

Nissim from Payoneer can't comment in here, but he wanted me to share this:

I'm really sorry to hear that your check was taken. For this reason, and others (such as delays in the postal system and high costs) I really recommend going with an electronic payment method when possible.

Payoneer provides a few payment solutions for SM members, including prepaid debit cards, US ACH, and local bank transfers. For ACH and local bank transfers, you don't need to sign up for a Payoneer card, we will pay you directly to your bank account. The costs per payment start at only $2.99, and the service is available to over 200 countries. You just need to sign in to your SM account and select Payoneer as your payment method. This blog post shows how you can sign up for the bank transfer service.

For US ACH, the cost is only $3 per payment, and you receive the funds within 1-3 business days. If you have any additional questions about the service, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I'm with Sarah. Her check was probably a couple days late and for whatever reason she felt the need to concoct this ghetto ass story. Whatever.

Ok well I'm glad you got your money LOL!

But also LOL - I'm thinking if you're "undocumented" here then getting arrested for battery is probably very bad news. I'm having a hard time buying this one myself :D

i have a work permit i just don't have a OFFICIAL SS# number yet, but a temporary one ... btw i have gotten arrested before and nothings ever happen to me they usually go after the people doing worst .. i mean its a battery charge ya'll act like i killed the girl Jesus!

Either way, I'm glad you got your money back, REDDBONE!

it took a few days but i got it back though!! and it's really easy to mess up mail boxes here because we have about 4 houses with the same number but different letters for the mailboxes (if that makes sense) so i can see how he screwed up i just really wish he wouldn't have screwed up mines!! and girl i could careless about the people questioning me, i mean i just wanted to vent out what i was feeling cause sometimes it does help me when i write things out, a girl just wanted someone to talk to!! it suhks when you have a problem but no one to talk to about it! i felt like i was going crazy so i came on here ... kinda wish i didn't now cause i come back and read this crap. lol i dont care though, i can be classy then ghetto in 2.5 sec and they can kiss my "ghetto" ass. WOW is right. Try not to sweat it too much though, REDDBONE. Some people have a tendency of just being skeptical like that, especially if they've never been in this kind of situation before. Don't even waste your time and energy trying to convince skeptical people...lol.

Glad you got that money back, and good luck with the classes! :)

You went to court fast. I was charged for simple assault previously, my first charge of anything ever and it took me 4 months to get my info in the mail, and then 4 months to even go to court. And then when I get there with the lawyer, the judge favors me and throws it out except she said I had to come back 6 months later just to bring a piece of paper and tell the courts that I no longer want to be involved. And all this was over me slapping up my husband...your court system is quick lol.

Mmmmhmmmm.

And this is the court system in, what did she say? East LA? I'd venture a guess that their court system is pretty backed up.

Glad I wasn't the one to initially point this out. I was going to just ignore it but come on, really?

Well I lived in NY (over 8 billion people) it really depends on the charge how fast you go to court. My father worked in criminal court for 5 years. Anyway for an assault people went to court a lot sooner than a person caught with a knife or weed. I had a friend go 3 weeks after an arrest for assaulting a guy that robbed my mother.

I also dont see the point in picking apart someones story as if it effects anyone here.

I can post hundreds of stories and I bet half the people on this board would think im lying but guess what we don't come from the same place.
