ING Direct is also good if you want an "online" savings account that you cannot access immediately, it takes 2-3 days to transfer from the account to your "regular" bank account. They are basically the same as Ally and Smarty Pig. Same FDIC insurance and all that too, in fact they just got bought by Capital One, but I don't think the online accounts can be accessed at branches...? Need to check...

Most reputable banks will and should be FDIC insured for at LEAST $250,000...any bank that isn't I would give the side eye
I use AMEX HYSA ..I love it.
You also have the option of linking it to your current bank account if you like.

Okay, in about 15 more min, I'm going back on cam. This $60 a day 5 days a week isn't hard at all....yet anyway lol. I'm literally $14 from my goal. Gonna put in 3 hours and see what happens. I BETTER make $14+ in 3 hours lol.

Okay, logged into iml for 19 min and made my $14 lol. Guess what by? CRUSHING things! I changed my rate to $4.80 and came back and some guy took me for 9 min just to see me stand on a cardboard box and crush that and some empty arazona ice tea cans. Winning!

that was a mistype. they cover 250k.
I only knew of that one bank. So...IDK. I like it? Haha. Haven't had any problems with it.
Oh okay good! lol
I've heard of it on various financial blogs I frequent and it's always positive, however I love Ally...
The online user interface is super simple and I've been with them awhile...
Edit: I also just googled it...its FDIC insured :)
Yeah I am always looking at new online banks... Ally seems to have the best rates but ING is offering a $50 sign up bonus right now
Looking at the SmartyPig.com bank it seems like a good place to save when you have a specific goal in mind
I've always liked the idea of having a few different accounts and then have certain purposes for each one, it makes budgeting easier that way
Also, does anyone here use Mint.com? It's my favorite!!

Wow, I wish I had SMART, kick ass, organized, independent women friends like you ladies IRL! I'm obsessed with organizing my shit and sometimes I wonder if a lot of my friends even have savings accounts lol. I guess it's not *that* strange because most of my friends are in their early 20's, but still... This kinda stuff excites me lol.
I actually just opened up a few new savings accounts recently. I use Wells Fargo and it only takes a second to do, and is free as long as you have an automatic monthly transfer of at least $25 from your checking into each account.
I kept my regular savings account - I'd like to start saving $600/mo, haven't started that yet, this thread inspired.
I made one to set aside rent money each week so I don't accidentally spend it.
One for taxes - putting in about $2,500/mo I believe.
One for vacation savings - $300/mo.
And paying off my credit card - $300/mo.
I need to be making around $5k/mo to save for and pay off everything I want/need. Let's say $1k from vid sales/mo and $1k from cam shows/wk and I'm set. Doesn't seem so hard when I think about it that way. Now I just need to kick my ass into gear and actually log in. It's hard to stay focused sometimes or to figure out how to manage my time that I get everything I need to done at the right times.
Any way, so Hayden said she is saving up to buy a house, what are the rest of you saving for?
I'd like to move into a different neighborhood in the spring/summer that would increase my rent/bills by around $500-$1k/mo so that's where some of my savings will likely be going. And eventually I too would like to buy a house, as well as buy other properties eventually and get into real estate. I also want to go back to school, so having money saved up would help me be able to add school to my schedule and not have to work as much.
Oh and one more thing I thought of when reading through this, I know Wells Fargo has this and maybe some other places too. You can set up linked checking/savings accounts so that for every time you make a purchase with your debit card, they will automatically transfer $1 into your savings account. I think you can even have them match the amounts, too.

Yah that's the downside, they don't support small banks and I don't think they do any of the prepaid cards. They do let you track paypal though.

I'm still around ladies. Looks like I'm going to have to redo my goal as I forgot all about AUNT FLOW! She struck me this week and I'm the type that can't stand being bothered PERIOD while she's around. Not a softcup, no tampon with the cut off string, no meds, just won't sign on at all. I have started to mess with findom again and got a subbie tribute the other day so that made up for a little bit. Get it girls, we can do this!

Holy crap girl, I'm anemic too haha. And I totally haven't been taking my iron pills lol. Opps. I've just been diagnosed within the year but I knew I had it all along. When I was a teenager it was extremely hard for me. I would vomit, (sorry) have extremely bad cramps, and I was always so exhausted. Not to mention it lasted 11 days long and I had heavy cramps and bleeding until the 10th day at least. A few times I'd have 4 month long periods with just spotting and sometimes I'd go 3 months without a period. I had to take birth control as a virgin and my mom would always assume I was pregnant when I hadn't even had sex yet. Used to piss me off haha.

I always take off when I get the monthly visit. I work 7 days a week, so I treat those 2-3 days as my mini vacation... and of course, you feel like shit, so you don't really want to get out during those 3 days, so, it's a nice way to make sure you save money too.. LOL

take a knife and scrape the top of the iron tablet a little bit, then drink it with OJ. It's the best way to get it to actually absorb and makes it work faster, too! :)

Good news: today I made more than my f#ck yeah! goal in about half the time it normally takes me!
Bad news: I took the previous five days off completely due to my depression over my ex?fiance and starting my cycle unexpectedly early.
More good news: I just signed up for another secondary site and they actually offer direct deposit!!!! Which will be great for my savings!!!! My other sites use Payoneer and CMB paycard. Transfering money from my cards to my checking account can get expensive so I've been keeping my funds on my cards, which means I'm spending more than I should. Once the money is actually in my proper bank account it's easy for me to ignore it and not touch it. I hope this secondary site works out for me, even if I just make a moderate amount on there every day I'll never have to see or touch my money, it will be so nice getting large chunks in my bank account twice a month as a bonus on top of what I'm already doing!

I haven't been able to save anything toward my $6k yet because I had a set back... but I'm going to MAKE $10k this month if it kills me!!!!!!! I'm 14% there....

Sorry to bring back a kinda old thread.. but by any chance do you girls know if there are any online bank accounts that I could load with money off my payoneer card? Im not sure if I am wording this right... but what I am wanting to do is have an account online (possibly with a debit card) that I can load with money directly off of my payoneer card. A savings account would be great. I wanna get in on this :) Thanks for your help..I have spent hours online trying to find such a thing but had no luck!

Ya i prob did not word it right lol. ANy of our local banks around here will not let you deposit money off of a credit or debit card which payoneer is.
MissSassyPickles
03-28-2013, 01:05 PM
You can't transfer money from your Payoneer card to a bank account, you have to change your payment from loading to card to bank transfer. Nissim said they would be enabling this feature in the next few months, but as of right now that's your only option.

Payoneer still does not allow you to transfer money from your payoneer account to a bank account. They said they will have the option in the future though. You can have your payments go straight to your bank and bypass your payoneer card altogether, but its stuck that way. You can't jump back and forth between payoneer card and bank account deposits.

saving for taxes and the wedding UGH. we each made over 10K in our first year of camming. Doesnt sound like much, but for us it is since we barely have expenses. Paying the taxes is going to be so annoying... We gotta do that very soon, dont we? We try and put it away at a pace of $500 a month, but have been slacking since february. Oh yeah and the honeymoon... Like my digital design teacher said " save, save, save, save, saaaaavee." :P

Best of luck with your hysterectomy, I had one 2 years ago and the best thing ever! I do have one ovary tho so it didn't throw me into menopause.
I will give you just a bit of a forwarning, I was told that it was normal to bleed some afterward, well, I guess I took what I was bleeding as normal and ended up hemorrhaging 5 days post op. and ended up in the er because I was losing so much blood and then was back into surgery.. so just make sure you keep an eye on that :) best of luck to you!!

Almost at my 10k and today I let the govt eat it. I didn't realize being thrown into a different tax bracket would impact me so much. Taxes are DONE and I paid the 4K from 2010 that they where looking for and the taxes owed for this tax season.. I can sleep good knowing I am PAID IN FULL to Uncle Sam. I am starting over. Dammit! lol

Progress Report:
Since November 2012 I've approached my PSO biz with a lot more focus, available tons, more energy, focus. And while my personal life is shit, delayed gratification in spades, my energy is my son (single mom) paying bills, student loans, raising fico score, saving money. I'm happy to report my first quarter savings is 5.5k, fico score is rising, and for the first time in 7 years I have NO credit card debt!
I decided I can afford a new car, since I've never had one, live in L.A, and I'm no longer paying down my CC debt. It will be my very delayed graduation gift (UCLA 2010). Just wanted to let everyone know it can be done, 20k+ by years end:)

So, speaking of saving, I recently signed up for www.lynda.com and it's an amazing site full of video and hands on course materials for practically anything you need to know when it comes to entrepreneurship, design, marketing, SEO, etc. They have like 22,000 videos and lectures so it's cheaper than going to school or paying for a class as low as $25 a month. You don't get a degree but you get experience. You get one week free, which I'm trying out right now and I will eventually be saving big money on all sorts of things for my businesses. For one, I won't have to hire anymore designers to do my sites for me which is huge for me. Instead of paying designers, I can use that money to promote or buy more domains. I'm currently watching the course on HTML, XTML and eventually CSS and it's extremely understandable. So, that's my saving tip.

haha TY but I did rob peter to pay Paul. I made sure all CCs where paid, main reason to save plus the back taxes so right now living off CCs until next week. Taking it easy and trying to hustle hustle hussstle. I did hate when my accountant said to me "what are you doing wit your money" Well, Uncle Sam , a teen and me PLUS the ordinary crap to live. I love when someone with out kids says "they dont cost a lot". IMO I did good to pay off CCs and Taxes at the same time. If I have to live off CCs for a week or two it is OK with me. I am rocking the "Broke Bitch Status" ;)

Thanks! Got tired of being poor...I've worked in the adult biz long enough to know, just making rent won't get me ahead. So for the first time I'm making bank, in part because of focusing on treating it like a business, paying taxes, and putting in the time needed. I never thought phone sex would get me there lol. Good thing is, I can wear jammies, and lounge if I so choose. I do get on cam on occasion (as a fetish domme only) but love being anonymous.
