First of all, I'm glad to see that the subject of this original post is now OK and doing business.

For those wishing to cam overseas outside their home countries, it's really important to use good judgement and play carefully. Models, producers and entrepreneurs have gotten into trouble because they were: not discreet enough; didn't research their destinations or stepped on the wrong toes. I've lived and worked in SE Asia - in vanilla industries - and know that the right connections and staying low-keyed are critical.

Im pretty low key and a "small" model so I don't think it would be an issue but thanks for your input its def scary how that model turned out. I guess was more my question if the internet would be an issue but I guess the legal issues would be more of concern.

I immediately asked my friend about this story and they know 5 girls working there now. They told me that the girl in this case was not being careful. It is illegal to do camming and you can't buy or sell sex toys but you can bring a few in luggage. Some sites are blocked others aren't. Anyway, from what I hear from them is she was pretty reckless and pretty much summoned the police to her doorstep. If she has worked alone discreetly she would have been fine.

I am telling you what was told to me by someone living there for 5 years..i'm not saying im an expert or know everything. Pretty much the exact opposite. No need to be rude. Do you have any other information? Is what I am saying not true?

I don't know. I feel like "Camming is illegal in Thailand" means just that. So whether you work alone "discreetly" or not, it's still a big gamble to take in an area where they give folks the death penalty just for drug trafficking...

Someone's always gonna have their own theory about "how her arrest could have been prevented." It doesn't mean they know what they're talking about.

I've been an illegal worker for a long time...I dunno I dont pay attention to legality much. I just protect myself. I am not saying, go to Thailand and do this. I was just providing information. Saying that she might have been less likely to get caught if she behaved differently is not an endorsement of anything.

Just read all this, so glad to hear the model is ok now! I used to holiday in Thailand and was so paranoid about not getting in trouble there that I wouldn't even puff on a joint if it got passed my way, haha. Can't imagine camming there... (Not even sure how you could, the internet sucks).

Anyway, glad she's ok. Be safe, everyone!
