View Full Version : SkyPrivate New Payment Option?

Does anyone know if UK models can get paid via bank transfer after Brexit?
yes. definitely wire transfer is an option. SEPA - it is a bit unclear but we believe it will stay a valid option too. For sure there will be new methods to send bank transfer for EU to UK after brexit.

Ashley; are SEPA transfers are still working normally to the UK? I had my transfer approved 17 hours ago and nothing is pending on my account yet.
Brexit has been delayed of course, but it's naturally got me worried!
Thanks in advance. X

Hey, @Arwen25. Since now, we did not had any issue with SEPA transfers. Let's talk in private to see which withdraw you are talking about :)

A few months ago it seemed like Skyprivate was moving toward covering chargebacks for prepaid shows. The chargeback policy I found on the site doesn't have a date on it, just that it was "updated over a week ago". Does anyone know what the policy is now at this time? Are prepaid shows covered? Are tips during pay per min shows covered?

Hello, @Procrasturbator and nice to meet you. Thank you for the interest in this topic. Let me say that we have a very low chargeback rate and it's only for prepaid shows and not pay-per-minute shows or tips. Those are covered by us, that's why we recommend to do shows by pay-per-minute. If you need to know further details, please let me know. I would be glad to answer all your questions.

Wow, I didn't know that for pre-paid shows the guy can do a CB.
YOUR PAYMENT SYSTEM & site DON'T WORK WELL TOGETHER.
I just explained (IN DETAIL) what just happened to me during a session & the girl didn't understand a word I wrote.
I told her to get somoene who understands ENGLISH to read it & she of course had to lie & say she understands English.
I am tired & just want to be done with the night but I CAN'T, b/c your staff doesn't understand English.
Even AFTER I corrected her when she tried to take a stab at understanding my English, she STILL couldn't use common sense.
This issue has happened twice now.
A guy calls me, then runs out of money, he adds MORE money & tries to call, but your system says he has NO money even though he can see it in his account.
I complained the first time & someone told me that you have to wait to see the money show up & be approved.
Well guys do NOT want to wait & neither do us cam models.
He kept trying to call over & over again for 15 MINUTES STRAIGHT & each time it told him & me that he has no money.
Finally I got him to pre-pay, but you better not steal my money from me claiming he did a CB.
Obviously what the FIRST staffer told me is stupidity. IF the money hasn't yet shown up in SP, then HOW are they able to pre-pay???
Your girl then tells me that the reason it says that is b/c his SK account isn't attached to the system even AFTER I told her that he had just seen me.
If it wasn't attached to the system, then HOW did he call me the first time???
And he even restarted his SK & that didn't work, THEN your app crashed & restarted on my computer.
So all & all I lost around 45 mins. of my life waiting for the guy's money to show up, then contact you guys to tell you the problem AGAIN & then have someone who doesn't understand what I'm saying ask me to repeat myself. <sigh>
Please FIX your site/payment issues.
ep2002

And your customer service just closed the ticket saying their co-worker read the ticket.
Nothing about FIXING the issue, or that they understood me.
LOL tooo much.

Hello, @ep2002! Sorry for making you lose your time. It's the least thing we want to do and it's applied to the member too. We had a lot of situations with members that were logged on skype with a different ID than the one they used for registering on SkyPrivate, so maybe that's why he couldn't call you. In this situation, it's better to talk to our Support Department so they can find that member's account. I assure you that all my colleagues from the Support Department are speaking and understanding English very well. Regarding the situation that he could call you although he didn't have an account, I can tell you that everyone can call you on Skype, but the plugin starts charging only members from SkyPrivate. To avoid situations like this, you have a setting in your account "Reject calls from users not on SP" which you can find on Settings->Public Profile->Plugin Settings and after you turn it on, the plugin rejects automatically the calls from users that are not members. If there is something else I can help you with or if you have any other questions, I'm here :) Have a great day!

I have had the same thing happen regarding the system not recognising that a member did in fact have funds. This was a customer that I had been doing shows with for over a year on a fairly regular basis yet the system wouldn't let him do shows for almost a week even though he messaged support multiple times.

I already explained things to you & to the other customer service girl on live chat & neither of you understood me even though I was very clear.
The ONLY one who understood me was another cam model.

I need to know the answer to my question since you didn't really answer it. I am trying to make images for my profile (as in displaying my profile information via images in Photoshop or some other graphic making software) and need to know how many pixels across they should be so potential customers can read it effectively.

It's fine if you don't want to resolve problems publicly, but understanding how and why these things happen to other models can help me and others like me feel more confident in your services. Especially when multiple people have expressed that there is a language barrier that prevents your support services from providing helpful guidance. The person you're responding to made it extremely clear that only another model understood their issue, which should be enough information to understand why they would not want to have the conversation privately. It becomes confusing trying to figure out whether the failure to understand was part of the mentioned language barrier, or if it's an attempt to avoid discussioning the issues.
I am lucky to have a lot of places to make money, but SkyPrivate had been my fave for a long time. I really am uncomfortable with the way the past few conversations have gone between "Ashley" and models. I'll be gifting myself a break from SkyPrivate until I am given a reason to believe that my colleagues are able to get proper support.
There is no shame in there being a language barrier. Clearly the people on the SkyPrivate team are fluent in multiple languages. That is remarkable and something I admire. But yes there is some issue with how communication from SkyPrivate reads to a native English speaker and there are issues with getting people on the support team to understand casual English. It would be wise to reflect on that and come up with solutions rather than getting defensive about your team's English skills.

If this site were a person I'd punch it in the face. It attracts all the timewasters and 1-minute-show guys and they won't even cover chargebacks for prepaid shows. The amount of times I've gotten ready for a show for it to last a minute is absolutely absurd. My only option now is to do prepaid shows, even with the chargeback risk, but I might just drop the site altogether :-\

Just do ppm and give the dudes who don’t stick around long enough a bad review. That way you know you’re getting paid no matter what. If they can’t last over a minute, it’s one star from me unless they leave a tip.

There was talk awhile back about SkyPrivate instituting a $2 per minute minimum amount that models can charge such as most other indie sites have. Is there still plans for this and if so when will it go into effect?
ashley.miller
05-13-2019, 07:20 AM
Hello, @SuperPookie! We believe that every model deserves to set her own price for her clients, because she knows better what she can provide in a show. Although it was a long discussion about this matter, this is the reason we did not want to institute this minimum price per minute. Have an awesome day!

that is not a normal behaviral. can you contact my colleagues from live chat support (on the website) and maybe have a teamviewer session and check?
also please make sure that you use the latest plugin version (best is to uninstall and install it again from your account) and be sure that you do not have at one multiple instances of the plugin running (like have running an old version and a new version at the same time)

So what's the point in us rating the guys?
I didn't understand your answer re: how we can see if the guy ever rated us.
We have to go to our profile to see if anyone rated us & it gives the guys SK handle next to the rating?
Do we have to be logged into the site to see this?
It's amazing I NEVER get reviews on SP. On other sites yes, but not this one.

Rating the guys can help you or other fellow models to see how he is. For exemple: if a member has a bad rating, you can choose to don't take that call. Regarding your ratings, you can ask our Support Team who rated you. After a call, we ask both participants to rate their conversation, but it's up to them to do it. You don't have to be logged into the site to see the ratings ( a model's ratings)

Re: ratings on Skyprivate, I always have to ask for them, they almost never seem to just do it independently. So they get the prompt to rate me, then on top of that (if they seem like they really enjoyed the show) I send them a message myself asking them to rate me. They don't need to write a review (there's no way for anyone to see them except Skyprivate itself), just rate. Re: guys' ratings, I've found it pretty useless. Sometimes I'll get a really high quality customer with a very high rating, and guys with very low ratings always seem to be minute men, but in general most guys (including both great regulars and minute men) seem to have mediocre ratings and it doesn't really tell me anything. It'd be a LOT more useful if we could see reviews that models anonymously* wrote about them, praising them or warning other models about specific things. Or that average show length info in the plug in? It'd be awesome if it showed not just their average show length with us, but average show length overall, across all models. That's way more valuable info than any rating.
* I say anonymously because if there's any way for a guy to connect a review to a model that completely defeats the point/integrity of the system. MGF is an example of this: no one gives bad reviews to guys unless they were really awful (and usually not even then) so it's useless except to see if they ever pay at all/how recently and frequently they've been spending.

And I agree with Procrasturbator - if I can't see what the model wrote, what's the point?
Also, the popup thingy is very confusing. I'm pretty sure it tells me how much money he has spent on ME, not the entire site, so the stars make me think they are my stars, not every other model's stars.
I think your entire rating system is broken.

Once again someone who wants a show says he has $20 in his account & the system is telling me he has no money.
And it's his ONLY SK account & he even got the e-mail.
Then I have to waste my time trying to get support on live chat, so a 5 min. call that I could have had turns into almost 30-60 minutes of me wasting my bloody time.
And of course no one is there at support.
And why doesn't it tell him on his SK that he has no money? Why does it ONLY tell me???

Well... in my experience, low quality customers are less likely to bother to rate or review, and Skyprivate customers are very often low quality. But to be fair, I've also noticed that indy clients in general are much less likely to leave reviews or tips, maybe because it's not "in their face" the way it is on big box sites. Aside from Skyprivate, they're not prompted or reminded to do so, so they usually don't. That's one thing that I think Skyprivate is doing right. But in general, I almost always need to ask for ratings/reviews/etc on indy sites, they're rarely a surprise. So after the show, if I have a moment before my next one and I'm sure they'd leave me a glowing rating/review, I'll send them a message on Skype telling them how much it helps me out if they rate/review me, how I really appreciate it, etc. which is good practice for indy camming in general.

Followup from SP Support - so...
I apologize for getting angry at SP yesterday here on the forum.
The client told me he had $20, but he didn't, he only had $12 in his account after he gave money to another model first.
I have my account set to 5 min. minimum, so he was 50 cents short JFC LOL
I told SP that they should tell us exactly why the call was declined, i.e. that he doesn't have enough to cover your 5 mins, instead of just saying he doesn't have funds.
Also, I think it's REALLY stupid that only we can see the reason for the declined call, but the client can't.
Why SP doesn't tell tell them as well, ESPECIALLY, b/c it would prompt them to pay & not confuse them by them thinking we are the ones declining the call instead of SP being responsible is beyond me.
And we lose calls b/c of this.
Obviously if the message is crafted in a way that encourages them to top up their account, WE make more money, we don't waste time freaking out b/c the guy wants to see us & he's telling us he has money when he doesn't, the guy calling over & over again trying to get it to work, the client restarting SP & me doing that as well thinking that will fix the problem, etc.
It's a waste of our time & the client's, & not professional at all.
So I told them they must do that & I hope you guys will tell them that too so they implement it faster since only one model complaining about this isn't enough.
Thanks
Take care

They often don't, no. They'll also sometimes say that they will, and then, you guessed it, they don't, lol. But enough of them do that I've built up a decent amount of ratings and reviews on both Skyprivate and CMD. I don't think there's a time limit for reviews on CMD, but I'm not sure. I've actually seen several reviews on girls' pages that look like they were never their customers at all? Which is BS in my opinion, no idea why they would approve a review like that and if it happened to me I would ask to have it removed. But every time I've gotten a review on CMD it was relatively soon after the show (also keep in mind that reviews won't show up until support is around to approve them.)
P.S. If you do domination, an easy way to build up ratings or reviews is to order the sub to write them. Obviously you need to make sure it's something the sub will be into, but when I get Goddess worship types, I'll have them write up a quick review during the session, send it to me first for approval, then submit it on CMD. Then they get their reward (my ass in the cam, a flash of my tits, getting to stroke for 10 seconds, whatever.) It's a little trickier for Skyprivate since they can only rate after a show, but if they've come to see you before and haven't rated, they can go back via the links the plug-in sends them on Skype and rate you for I believe up to a month, so you can have them go back and do that, and if you're extra sure they'll come back then you can also have them hang up, rate your previous call, then call you again (though they can only rate you once every 24 hours.) It's always easier to get them to do it before they cum.

I think your entire rating system is broken.
We are taking all steps we can to ask the customer and model to give a rating. Yes, that pop up is reminding you to do that and we also send an e-mail to the member and ask him to do it too. Some don't want to do that, some don't have the time, I am sure there are multiple reasons not to do it, but that doesn't mean that our system is broken. I can tell you that we have models that have a rating after every call, because they insist on reminding that member how important is for her and her ranking on SkyPrivate.

Thanks
Take care
I understand and you are right. We should tell the member the reason why the call was was declined and that's why we have our Support Department available 24/7 so that they check and see the issue. It's really important to talk to us when this thing happens so we can fix them and stop losing your time.
When a member doesn't have enough money to make that call, he receives a message saying: You don't have enough funds in your account to make this call. Add more funds here : http://accounts.skyprivate.com/payments/addFunds/, so we do encourage them to top up their account in order to make that call possible

Do you mind sharing the factors that directly affect ranking on Skyprivate? By "directly" I mean things that aren't just good habits for making more money, but that directly affect where the model appears on the page. For instance, this is from 2015:
P.S. another factor to rank higher on the profiles page: have your twitter linked, and have a booking schedule, and have a nice text description... beside the details I mentioned above.
And this post on the Skyprivate website (http://blog.skyprivate.com/skyprivate-how-to-rank-higher-as-a-model-tips-tricks/) has a number of recommendations, but it's not clear whether these are ways to make more money, or ways to improve your ranking regardless of income. For instance, it recommends filling in your schedule. I could see how this would get someone more clients, but if two models have made the exact same amount of money on Skyprivate in the same amount of time, is the one with the schedule portion of her profile filled out going to be ranked higher than an equally high earner without the schedule filled out? Or in another example, does having a high rating or number of ratings actually improve your ranking, regardless of income? Or are you saying that it would get her more clients and therefore more income, improving her ranking by increasing her income? Hope that makes sense. I'm wondering if there are actually other factors that go into the ranking or if it's like CMD and just lists all online models by amount earned in the last x days.

We are transparent when it comes to SkyPrivate ranking and you can find all the details here: https://support.skyprivate.com/models-promote-your-profile/how-does-the-ranking-system-profile-placement-work . These are ways to improve your ranking and of course, making more money. A tasty profile attracts more members=more money. Hope that answered your question.
