Update:
Day One:100
Day Two:160
Day Three:210
Day Four: Rest
Day Five: 120
Day Six: 0
Day Seven: 30
Day eight: 40 (never did get around to hitting 100)
Day nine: 60

Tonight I decided to set the timer on my microwave and squat without looking at the time. Previously, I'd squatted 30 in 2 minutes, but I was doing the slow descent, hold for a beat then push up. While I'm sure those are better for you, now I'm trying to go for numbers. I looked at some youtube vids and it looks like I'm going the speed now most everyone else goes at. Anyway, in three minutes I did 60! SIXTY! I'm amazed. My legs were a bit noodly afterward and I was definitely breathing hard, yet I was super proud of myself. I can do that a few times a day. My end goal is still 300 squats and being able to do that regularly in a day (which would be like 18 minutes so long as I didn't slow down from noodle legs) but that's not going to happen today :)

I really need to have my boyfriend watch me though to make sure I'm going as low as I think I am-- I've watched some youtube videos of people and they're not really squatting down to where their thigh is parallel to the floor. I did find and like this video where she explains the three muscles in the butt and what they do to help-- as well as various butt and thigh exercises (totally going to do that saddle-bag one!)

ChickenTuna's butt is still my ultimate butt

she's got a great body but I don't even care about all that. I just want that ass for myself

Edited to add:
I put on a Rhianna song (what's my name, 4 min 24 second) and did the squats slow like I normally do them. Managed 60 in that time period, and powered through 10 more after the song was up. yay! I'm so happy I can do that many at once-- I just need to distract myself with a timer or a music video so I don't think 30 squats are enough.

Just wanted to update--
I haven't been doing as much as I was, but I've been averaging 50-70 squats a day. Sometimes with weights (my dog) sometimes without.

I've noticed that my ass is noticeably less wide-flat. There's definitely a curve there from the side. My thighs seem to be also a lot less dimpled. I do still have noticeable cellulite but it's a lot less "old woman sitting on her ass all the time" (I just visualize this as those bad celebrity bathing suit shots where they have like 0 tone in their thighs?) Even though I haven't really been doing cardio to burn the fat, I definitely look at my thighs and don't want to cry and get angry about how bad my thighs look.

Oddly, didn't realize this-- I thought I was just having a fat day or that the dryer shrank my jeans but I notice now that my tight jeans really cut into the front of my waist making them uncomfortable. But I actually think I look better and feel a little lighter so it didn't make sense until I had the epiphany that if the upper part of my ass is getting curvier, then it's pulling at my waistband of my jeans more to accommodate the extra bulk.

sucks because I love my jeans but on the other hand, I am getting what I wanted and I have proof!

The squat is the King of movements, every BBer has a ass because of this. When I trained women I would have them do this fairly heavy because the legs are use to being used for walking. There are different stances to hit different parts of the legs.

I'm back to doing squats regularly. I took 2+ months off of doing them, and my thighs and butt started to look more cottage cheesy. I did still have that lift in the upper curvature of my butt cheeks, but I think there was some deflation because my jeans weren't hurting as much as before (which was a good thing.)

Now I'm on day three of weight squats. Not really bothering with bodyweight squats-- doing 20-45pound squats, trying to hit 50 a day. Looked at some variations and might start doing the bulgarian split squat but I need to fill up some gallon jugs so I can have balanced weight on both sides

I'm going off of this 30dayfitnesschallenges.com site; they have a bunch of other challenges that my OCD likes very much to do alongside the squats. I'm starting this because I'm sick so taking a couple days off from the gym cos I don't want to spread a cold to anyone else, but these will be awesome as a supplemental workout in the evening when I feel all back to normal and not work-out-pumped-up :) thanks for posting!
