does the c930e seem to have its cord come loose on the inside like the 920's do, I just had another one do this to me, if you move it the wrong way, you get disconnected. this has happened to 3 of my 920's. And its before the year is up. there is no fraying or anything wrong visibly, so it has to be on the inside
I've been having this happen with my 930E sometimes but its almost a year old, either going to go get it replaced via warranty or pick up another;)

I just found a Logitech Pro 5000 in a dumpster! It seems to work OK. Washes out the color a bit, but I like it; it's sort of like a magazine photo filter :)
It's certainly better than the simple $20 cam I had before, and I feel better about waiting to save up for the one I really want now.

^ nice find!
I use the pro9000, after three years it's finally needing to be replaced though. It's color just isn't true anymore, and it doesn't look so good camming on newer sites (re-opening streamate account so I'll tell y'all if it still runs well on there)- works well on skype but I think it's time to upgrade.

For now since last year I have 2 logitech c920 webcams, but saving to buy 2 bcc950 conference cams or 2 logitech orbit cam,i really like the idea to have a cam with remote and zoom, pan, tilt etc. Not sure which one its going to be
Don't buy the logitech orbit cam. The quality is no where near that of the other cameras (I literally threw mine in the bin). The bcc950 is fine. Very similar in pic to the c910.
I have a logitech pro 9000, c910, c920, bcc950 and a cc3000e. I basically buy everything:D

Have a Logitech C920 cam, but going to be upgrading to C930e and selling this thing. I never really got to break it in before seeing the quality of the c930e, guess my heart is set on another.

Was looking into C930 today and reviews made me stick with my 920 for now and look into buying BCC950 .C930 is supposed to be an upgrade but I read is not as good as C920.Dont sell the C920 before testing C930 properly.
I would like an opinion from a camgirl who has them both though.

I have a BCC and I didn't enjoy using it, to be honest. It's very bulky and can't be put on a tripod. If you have it on the same desk as your keyboard, the stem thing will wobble when you type (it's also very fragile - mine split at the ends after a few moths of use). The remote is a good idea but the thing itself is damn uncomfortable because the "mute" button is right under the "tilt" button with almost no space in between and it's way too easy to mute your feed accidentally. Also, the remote won't work if you put the cam behind the display so it's directed right at your face, because there should be nothing in the way between the base and the remote). The base doesn't let tilt the cam down at any sufficient angle, turning mechanism is very noisy, and the port on the base the camera globe is plugged in gets loose with time so it'll get disconnected every now and then. Overall - the idea is good but the design has much room for improvement. Logitech's next conference cam CC3000e seems to have solved the tilt and accidential mute problems, but it costs like a Boeing wing and takes twice as much space as a BCC950 so I won't consider it a good camming solution.

The cc3000e is certainly not a cheap option and it isn't perfect. I do have some complaints about the audio being too quiet (even though I have it on max) and it can be difficult to position it in a way that you can see both it and the monitor (it's fairly chunky and not too easy to mount).

That sounds bad and convinced me to not spend on it .If someone will get it from my wishlist then fine.I noticed in reviews that it is noisy and just yesterday was thinking that with my camming set up I can only keep it on my desk .I keep my C920 on top of my monitor and only shows my face and cleavage,I imagnine BCC would only show my face in my actual set up.

I agree the BCC was great when I first got it but kinda a pain for Split Camming. Especially now that I'm having issues with using two Logitec 920s at the same time. It was all good on a windows 7 laptop. But now on a win8.1 desktop it's a pain in the butt. I feel like im wasting way too much time getting set up. Currently I have to slide a shelf over to my computer cart to give my Conference cam the height I need. I think if I didn't split cam and only used that one then it would be fine. Today I'm gonna go look for a Microsoft Life cam after seeing this video. And last night I was able to log onto a site with a Logitech C525 (a shitty cam) and make $50 in an hour and a half. Honestly I think as long as you have good lighting and internet you will be fine.

All corded logitech webcams have this issue for some reason :/. I'm still waiting for them to make a good wireless one. I have the 930e and the 920, I prefer the way I look in the 920, the 930e doesn't autolight in the same way in my room for some reason

Im a dark skinned ebony and I use the c920. And I most say I look smashing :) I have really nice lighting. Nothing too expensive. 2 Five stem floor lamps. $19 a piece. I put a few daylight bulbs in them. And I just got a diva ring light too. $175 Sometimes I only use that as a light source but with a little light in the background.
Also I just got a microsoft lifecam hd studio and I see very little difference in quality. Its really only noticeable when I try to make a clip with it. I got it so I can use multiple webcams on one pc at the same time. My desktop won't recognize two c920's at once. My next purchase will be a camcorder with continuous auto focus. Not quite there yet.

I'm a brown skin ebony so I'm scared I'm gonna buy a cam and look horrible in it. I currently have a Logitech C525 and I'm running the encoder on SM. I look decent but I've been having problems lately with laggy and choppy feeds but my internet is fine and my cpu usage is normal so it's either my cam or SM. I'd love to have a crystal clear stream.

Ihave a c525. Got it at target for $14. I was just curious to see how to see how it worked. The C920 is a major upgrade. The Lifecam is a major upgrade. Any webcamera is a major upgrade to that. LOL If you think that you look "decent" with that one, then wait until you buy a newer one. I really don't think what color you are is gonna be a factor when purchasing a camera. If the cam sucks its gonna suck for everyone. Sometimes you can amp up the quality on a bad cam with good lighting. It's mostly about playing around with your lighting and software settings. I own a Logitech Quickcam Orbit,a logitech c525, a Logitech Conference Cam BCC950, 2 c920's and now the Microsoft Lifecam HD Studio. Ive even managed shows with a built in webcam. Some of these are better for just recording but suck at live streaming. I think the Quickcam Orbit and the C525 fall into that category. Now and days the only time I use these two cams is if I split with a site and turn my settings to black and white. Even with good lighting the colors seem off to me.
I got a Logitech C920. I like it but it makes me look washed out and the colors look dark. It kind of works in my favor though 'cause I'm goth and it makes my hair look pitch black and my skin flawlessly white. I just need to figure out how to turn off the autofocus so it stops getting blurry every time I move! Despite all that it's still the best webcam I've ever tried and beats the heck out of the built-in Macbook one.

My show is super sexy with lots of dancing/stripping/twerking etc. So I don't want anything that's gonna blur when I move. Yeah, I know the C525 is horrible now lol. I actually got it on recommend from another camgirl site before I found StripperWeb. I wish I would of just saved that money and invested in a C900 class cam from the start but leasson learned. I'm doing okay with it so I can't even imagine how much I could be make with a better stream. Since I'm doing okay I want to invest back into myself with new upgrades starting with a new cam, then computer. I already have awesome internet. I just want to get a amazing cam this time instead of regretting my choice like I do now.

Hi! I've searched on here but can't find a thread relevant to what I'm asking, although I'm sure there's one on here somewhere.
I've used my same trusty webcam for the last 4 years but need a change.
What's the best webcam anyone out there has had? What should I be looking for in your opinion? It just needs to be clear, crisp, and the frames can't be too large otherwise the video won't flow so well. My connection can be a dodgy one at times.
Thanks! Xx

If your current webcam isn't broken then you should keep using it. Any of the logitech webcams that are HD would work fine 615, 310, 270, 920, 930, 910, and then the conference webcams.

I think Hyori recommended the Hovercam 3po in the Streamate thread a few days back. I'm looking into upgrading to that one sometime soon because her feed looks flawless!
If you don't want to drop $350 on a webcam though, the Logitech C920 is always a great option.

^^ Thanks scarlettbelle!
If you're in the market for a new webcam and you want to take it to the next level after the Logitech webcams/conference cams you can get the HoverCam 3PO or go even higher and invest in a capture card and camcorder and/or DSLR combination.

I just received the Logitech 930e webcam. So far so good. Only cammed once with it but noticed the difference with traffic and getting shows. Before I got it, I was on an OLD basic Logitech can that barely did anything. i like this because supposedly it processes video somewhat within the cam and has the software to zoom in and out, brighten etc. You can also get a mini tripod and place it there if you need flexibility from your laptop.
I REFUSED to lower my prices when it was slow and decided to upgrade instead. Hopefully I'll see some earnings

I LOVE the c910! Mine is on it"s last leg and held together with electrical tape currently> I bought a c920 wasn't impressed and sent it back. It wasn't as clear and not super flexible with my tripod for different angles.

I know someone who tried out the HoverCam 3po and from their feedback they said it's actually not practical for cam models. The magnetic base isn't strong enough to keep the camera stable, the framerates are not that good and the software is pretty shit. I guess because the HoverCam is made for documents and not for moving objects that could be why the poor performance.
So, I guess it's back to the drawing board when it comes to true USB3 webcams. The Logitech webcams still rule.

I know from time to time people are always asking what camera to buy or use.
and it seems some people make buying a webcam too complicated. I don't think this is a double topic but if it is I am sure it will get merged.
What camera are you using (Model and maybe a pic of what it looks like)
Pic can be from the website you bought it from doesn't have to be a selfie of it.

Logitech c920, which appears to be the 'gold standard' of webcamming.

For clarity of picture, I give it a 7/10. It is real picky with my lighting and hard to find the right color balance. For features, 5/10. It does what I need it to, but I would vastly prefer for it to have a remote option to pan/zoom. But! For the price, it's quite good. I'm fine with it. I will look to upgrade this year though.

I use a C615 because I was too cheap to put out money for the Logitech C920. It works fine! My computer isn't strong enough to handle more than that anyway (I always get horrible ranking info on SM when I use the HD720 settings because my computer is at 90% usage just running the regular HD settings with the encoder).

I've just this week upgraded to the logitech c920, and am wishing I had done so sooner. It's a huge improvement over the creative live HD cam I was using before - the picture is bigger and clearer (and surprisingly flattering - my makeup before consisted of a lot of concealer and colour correcting foundation to even out my skin tone, with the C920 I can get away with just throwing on some eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss and still look good)

I have a logitech cc3000e, a bcc950 (same as Minnie's), a c920, c910 (which I don't like at all) and a 9000. The cc3000e is great as it's a pan/tilt/zoom cam but the new SM settings don't work that smoothly with it (the SMbroadcaster doesn't like it) and it's more difficult to use. In particular it doesn't give that 'webcam' feeling to the viewer as it's a static cam which you will have to position next to rather than above the monitor and you can't easily move it around. As a 'webcam' the c920 is my fave, though I still love the colours given by the 9000.

Anyone using the c920 with Mac? Or would the c930 be better for that?
webcamcutie
12-10-2015, 08:09 AM
I bought the 930e for mac and you don't have to, the 920c works just fine. They gave the illusion that the 930e is the same as the 920c but for mac vs windows, which is untrue. Because if you ever want to switch to windows (like I did) you'll have 2 930e that don't work with FMLE or the broadcaster under anything higher than 8-11fps because they DO NOT work with the logitech drivers to get the true 720HD resolution with these 2 programs.
Bottom line, 920c, with windows or Mac, the view on the 930e is wider and I miss that, but the fact that its a useless paperweight now makes me mad.
Also mac users there is an app out there on the app store called 'Webcam settings' you can purchase it for like 8.99, I think? So if you use the 920c or any other cam for that matter you can use this program to adjust your auto focus, auto gain adjustments, color, etcetcetc, well worth it!

I too have a c290. Two of them to be exact, for splitcamming and back up emergencies. I also have an old c310 (pictured below)that I started with before upgrading to the c920 but it's collecting dust somewhere. I'd absolutely love it if logitech came out with a combination between a c920 (for the HD/pro aspect) and bcc950 conference cam (for the remote control aspect). I'd be in a camgirl coma!
Not to derail the thread but, do any of you ladies who own multiple cameras have a favorite camera? I do and it's a refurbished one. I just knew I'd hate it but I love it, lol. I even kept the blue sale sticker on to be able to tell them apart, lol.
