I bought the 930e for mac and you don't have to, the 920c works just fine. They gave the illusion that the 930e is the same as the 920c but for mac vs windows, which is untrue. Because if you ever want to switch to windows (like I did) you'll have 2 930e that don't work with FMLE or the broadcaster under anything higher than 8-11fps because they DO NOT work with the logitech drivers to get the true 720HD resolution with these 2 programs.

Bottom line, 920c, with windows or Mac, the view on the 930e is wider and I miss that, but the fact that its a useless paperweight now makes me mad.

Also mac users there is an app out there on the app store called 'Webcam settings' you can purchase it for like 8.99, I think? So if you use the 920c or any other cam for that matter you can use this program to adjust your auto focus, auto gain adjustments, color, etcetcetc, well worth it!

So if I am understanding this - the 930 does not work on SM but the 920 does?!

i have used c920s and c930 - it worked for me on OBS on Streamate for several months no problem / and i am back to back up c920 bc 930 died.
i really liked c930&OBS i think it was the most crisp
but yeah was told by sm support that c930 is NOT recommended; when i used smbroadcaster i tested it with c920; currently i run c920&obs

Knowing my luck, the moment I get rid of my Logitech C920 webcam (When broadcasting, the video freezes up every few seconds), I'll end up coming across some Craigslist ad where someone's looking to buy broken electronics. LOL. I see ads like that on Craigslist sometimes...people looking for broken laptops, iPhones, etc. I wanna compare the prices (online and in my local Walmart/Target/Best Buy stores) for a new one.

Hello!
Just saw your post about using the bcc950 webcam and i wanted to ask what settings do you have for it? I'm using Windows and every time i log in using this webcam i have a very low level of fps, between 8 and 10.
Could you please help?
Thank you!

I use the BCC950.

I love the remote control because I can zoom in easily without having to get up from whatever angle I'm in. But I hate that I can only put it next to my monitor and not directly above it.

So I have to sort of twist my body to "face" the camera, even though I would like to sit facing forward so I could look at the monitor.

Idk if that made sense.

I also dont like that I can't easily move the camera to different parts of the apt or put it on the floor. With the BCC950, it must plug into the wall, so it's def not portable. May switch to the 930e.

Is there any way to use a remote with the 920 or 930?

Ok, girls, I've read the posts and I see you are all confused about why C920 is good for SM and why C930e, is not.
The answer is simple: The lightning.
The C930e is an upgraded version of C920, obivously. From that point, it means is asking even more light than C920 is asking, to provide that 720p or 1080p quality.
How do I know that? Because I tested myself.
I initially bought the C930 for working on Jasmin. Jasmin required resolution for HD is 848x 458. And C930e is doing great on it.
When I move the C930 on SM and try to set it on 720p, the fps drops to 10-11. But yet, C920 is doing a great job.
So... higher resolution on C930e = more light needed, for that pristine look.
I am not sure yet, how much light is eating this camera for SM, maybe a girl who works on SM with it on 720p resolution can inform us?
But I have a feeling I need 2 strong softboxes for it. I am going to buy a C930e or a Bcc950 (wich is, basically a C930e with remote control) for Streamate and I will upgrade my lightning too.

I use the Logitech C920. I recently bought a second one back when I thought splitcamming ImLive and Cams would be a possibility (but due to the awful lagging issues on ImLive ALONE, I see it ain't happening). Trying to decide if I'll just keep it for future use, or try to sell it on eBay (still brand new in the box).

Ok. I have the 930e, & hate it, you can't take photos w/it. Also, it doesn't seem like I can w/the 920 either, :(. I can using my older lappie, but it will take forever.
I also have a 720c, the 9000, & the 920, which I'm going to be using as I just got bk my lappie frm being fixed yesterday. & those are just the cams I have w/me now, I have more in storage, sorry no pics atm..see above.
I am a Logitech graveyard!
& webcam cutie, (& everyone) thanks for your info, not that I totally understand it. :)
PS - Logitech used to a buyback/credit program, they'd give so much off a new cam if you sent in old one(s) & I wish they still did.
One more comment, the attachment thingie for the 920. Sucks!

I just upgraded to the Logitech C930e after using the C920. On both Chaturbate and Streamate, I've had multiple compliments on the quality. I've also noticed a slight improvement in my pictures and a slightly larger improvement in my videos.

With that being said, I have noticed the slight drop in fps that was mentioned on Streamate, but not on Chaturbate.

Overall, I'd say I'm happy with the upgrade, but there isn't this HUGE jump in quality that you're missing out on if you don't really feel like dropping the mun-muns, imo. If a regular hadn't bought it for me, I would have just stuck with the C920.

I had the C930 and returned it for another C920 .. the options for the control panel were way to smallish and difficult to adjust everytime you get a show.. just a pain in the butt..

My C920 just died on me. I ordered a new one from Amazon and the day before it arrived a C930 arrived as a gift from one of my fans. So now I have both. I started with the C930 today and I dont know if I like it. Also it took forever to calibrate. Does this mean I shouldnt be using it?

Honestly if I have to turn on my studio lights to use it I will just plug in the C920 and return the C930. It will be much cheaper on my electricity bill. I am also wondering if any of you are using the C930 with Studio lighting and if its like way way way better and "worth it" or if your all just sticking with the 920?

how long should i expect to get from my C920? I have never even considered upgrading or switching it, but with regular use, when have people found they need to replace them? (i know its a bit of a how long is a piece of string question!)

I bought mine about 3 years ago, it's been through the ringer(I have used it outdoors, I have gotten it wet doing shower shows, it's been dropped and stepped on and kicked) and still going strong!

C310 which does 720p but the colour is shocking. If you have warm colour lights. The yellow is terrible however if you use cool or daylight colour its brill.

C920 is great at it manages the colours well and has a good framerate dispite the colour of my lights.

Diy shops have brought down the prices of gu10 led bulbs that are dimmer enabled so might have to look at changing the lights. cant find cool coloured energy saver bulbs anymore always damn warm colour bulbs

The only thing I dislike is that clicking noise it makes while focussing, so I use a different mic.

Anyone using the c920 with Mac? Or would the c930 be better for that?

I use the C920 with my imac and also I use it with my laptop.

I haven“t problems. I downloaded the Logitech app on the App Store.

Works good without to download the app. But with the app you are able to use the zoom and other settings like lighting, contrast...

Logitech c920 - Best HD camera around.

The video quality is amazing when filming and even better when streaming. Just making sure when streaming you have an upload speed of around 9mbs or higher and if you use an ethernet cable then make sure its port its 10/100/1000 .... I was using my laptop which had an Ethernet port of 10/100 and I was not able to stream HD, the picture was ok when streaming but never pin sharp xx.

bump please! has anyone find success in the brio?

Blovely
11-23-2017, 11:12 PM
^^^^A few ladies have purchased the Brio, its been discussed in the Logitech 4K Webcam (https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?215230-Logitech-4K-Webcam) thread. I just posted this in another thread.

I recently bought the Brio. The C920 quality is great but the Brio's quality is amazing, you can definitely see the quality difference between the two. The Brio is alot clearer/sharper, the coloring is more precised and it captures a wider view. If you were to use it for clips the quality is so high that I'm pretty sure you could get your clips to look cinematic (if you're into that look) through color grading.

I thought I was going to absolutely love the Brio however there were a few things that I didn't like about it that made me return it. Logitech removed exposure and gain from the newest software so those settings now permanently auto adjust. So whenever I moved the camera it would get brighter than I wanted. I even tried turning down the brightness but it would still get too bright because there was no way for me to adjust the exposure and gain settings. I tried using the Brio with the regular Logitech software. It did give me the option to control the exposure and gain but it was through property settings that looks like this....
http://chilp.it/7756873
Because the notches are really small it was really hard for me to click on them in order to change the exposure and gain. In fact I wasn't able to get the exposure and gain settings right like I'm able to with the C920. As a camgirl and somewhat of a perfectionist I need to have control of all of my setting, damn'it.

The other thing that bothered me about the Brio was the mount, although its very flexible it was hard to get it in the right position whenever I needed to move it (which I tend to do alot during a camshow). It was really annoying having to fiddle around with the mount trying to get it in the right position during a show especially when I didn't have to deal with that with the C920. I was hoping that I could get use to the auto settings and mount but then I decided to use the C920 again which made me feel like the Brio wasn't worth dealing with. The C920 imo is just so much easier to use.

So although I love the quality that the Brio produced I prefer the C920 because I'm able to easily adjust all the settings to my liking and the mount is easier to position/adjust. So for me its not worth upgrading. I'm hoping that with their next webcam release that they'll add exposure and gain back to the software and put the C920 mount on the webcam or at least give an option of which mount you can put on it. If Logitech were to fix those issues with the Brio I'd surely trade in my C920 for the Brio.

Thanks Blovely! I'm taking a gamble on the 930, should be here tomorrow. I wanted something different than the 920 because as whirlerz wrote earlier, it's just turning into a graveyard of logitechs and i wanted to try out something new haha.
Not getting my hopes up though. I wouldn't be surprised if I return it and come crawling back to the 920 LOL.
