Hey sorry I've been MIA....broker has been out of town and gets back Tuesday . Super annoying because I need to move out this week. Fortunately a girl at work gave me her brokers number as a back up. She told me he pretty much said the same thing to her (she says she didn't take that "deal" and I believe her, she's a pretty clean dancer) but that he works with dancers all the time and knows how to frame the proof of income issue...I was talking to a few girls about it at work and this seems like a pretty normal thing around here. I will let you know what happens.

I'd be verrry interested to learn how he frames the proof of income issue. This is something that could benefit us all if we could learn how he does it.

Mini update: I intern for a non profit that works with youth involved in the street economy and the staff there have contact with some excellent lawyers who handle cases involving sex work all the time. I asked a co-worker who I trust and who is also a sex worker about what I can do to legally protect myself, if anything at all. He called the lawyers and they told me that the most important thing I can do in this situation (as fucked up as it is) is to make sure there is evidence of the fee being waived. As in a notarized fee waiver or if the company has a fee waiver form with their letterhead on it, (otherwise its just a piece of paper) I need a copy of it and I need to send a pic of it to the lawyers for them to have. I might still get fucked over in the long run but this could possibly save me from dealing with bullshit. Like many of you said, once I sign the lease and have the keys, I'm in. I just need to make sure he can't come back and say I owe him a fee.
