I had someone ask for "60 minz"but he doesn't have a photo up. Does the name he shows as appearing on the contact list happen to just consist of three numbers that could also be associated with a very popular action movie series?

If you get a fin-sub looking guy by the username of 692, he's legit, by the way. I've done exactly one show with him out of the blue (he disappeared after) as have a few other girls (same thing--disappeared right after). He dropped about $400 on me in one show, just to watch me fold laundry for an hour. It was ridiculous and I halfway expected a charge back on him, but no.

Hi there ladies!!
I came back online the other day after an almost 1 month long break ( was busy with a full time unpaid ughhh internship) and I wanted to ask any opinions on the new video selling feature, are u guys selling anything?
That site was so slow for me during the summer, I thought i would ask if it s worth uploading videos before I do..lol
Have a great weekend and happy camming everybody!

Uploaded several clips, haven't sold one yet, and it creates an image from the clip that you cannot control. It can be an unflattering image too.

mmmm doesn't sound very promising...
That s why I asked first cause I feel the traffic on that site went down SO much after they made the new site that i figured uploading tons of videos there would be a waste of time by now...
Thanks for getting back to me!

Do you ladies happen to know how the CMD placement algorithm works?
The girls who are on the top row with the star symbol pay for that placement. Then the girls who are placed one row lower are the top earners getting the most shows.

Newb question, just kinda curious: do y'all accept every contact request on Skype before discussing what they want? Cuz I'm getting a shitload of add requests and maybe 1/10 will actually respond when I try to IM about what they're looking for, like they're just collecting contacts. Dunno if I'm being too discerning by only accepting requests from guys who respond, kinda curious how others handle it. Thanks!
I just add the contact and keep them.some of them wants shows days later. If their wasting my time with too much questions i just block them.

I used to add everyone who sent a contact request, but I finally decided it just wasn't worth it. I was wasting way too much time with trolls/scammers/freeloaders so I decided to start screening.
Now I copy+paste a message to everyone who sends a contact request. The message includes a link to my profile (no more acting shocked by my prices or trying to pretend like they don't realize I'm a camgirl) and lets them know that they need to tell me what they're interested in before I'll add them (no more adding people only to find out that they want me to pee in a glass and drink it).
If I don't hear back from them within a few days I deny their request. If they want to see me, they know where to find me AND they know what to do.

I accept only the ones I make shows with, like after they have paid + my regs from other sites. When they insist I explain: pay for the show = add, without payment = no add.
Some of those dudes do try just to collect the contacts of hot girls. What can I say...some men are pathetic...

I feel like there are more time wasters since the new design went up. Some guy just contacted me for a show he wants to do later. I don't like that since I do first come, first shows on there and I even say to not contact me unless you can do the show then and there.
I also hate bidding. All the traffic the site has is from us performers sending it then, and now he wants us to pay for top spots. Hell to the no

is it slow for anyone else lately? i only joined a couple months ago or so but even after my new model status ended i was still getting around $200 ish in sales every week ... i actually even bought a featured spot a few weeks ago and that week was my lowest earning week yet, and it's been dead since! didn't know if it's just me ...

It's definitely been a little slow for me (but I've only put in a few hours the last two weeks. I've started advertising on reddit and twitter, pimping out links left and right. Also cycling your content (updating ads and photos) regularly seems to help a little. I usually get a few new shows/clients per new ad or photoset.
I don't have a HUGE issue with freeloaders, like yeah I get a fair few still but I've come up with very new and exciting ways to confirm that they realise I'm pay to play and get to the point. The song and dance is annoying and it can be really, REALLY difficult to discern who is genuine and who is trying to take you for a ride.

Just wanted to give ladies a heads up: Mark or someone at the company might be fishing girls on Skype to trip them up and terminate their account. I haven't had a CMD show in months. A guy added me on Skype (Sylas Mayhem) and said he wanted a 10 minute JOI show. I asked how he found me and he said CMD. I was working and was bouncing around screens on my laptop. I had a totally brain lapse and said "I'm on Niteflirt now, you can find me here" and linked him. Not even thinking I was "directing CMD traffic to another site". The guy never replied, I went on with my night. The next day, I get an email with a copy of the conversation saying my CMD account has been terminated for failure to comply. It's no skin off my back, like I said I haven't had a CMD show in months. But I thought it was really predatory to message random girls under the guise of legitimate traffic from CMD (hahahaha) in an attempt to "catch" them screwing up. Either it was Mark, someone at the company or another girl. Either way, it's a shitty thing to do in my opinion. Be warned! <3

I have not had a show in months too. I got a guy where he said he found me through CMD but asked if he can bypass them and pay with Amazon instead. I said no. He messaged me again a few days later, same thing again but with a little more aggression. I don't go on Skype anyone these days since I just got tired of random dudes adding me and never wanting anything. Most won't even talk!

I am absolutely convinced the relaunch "broke" the site. Traffic still is not the same for me. I've only had 1 new client since the redesign.

When i asked to be deleted mark asked me why... i told him he made a huge mistake when he changed the site. it was working really well till then, i and many other girls were getting loads of shows, then he went and messed it all up. I think I got ONE show since then, so a year later i quit. It should be a lesson in how NOT to mess with a good thing!

This website is fun! I made an account on there a few weeks ago and I make a 100$ or so a week if I log in on my work days. Since I don't really expect much from this site (since it's not my main and I use it as a supplemental income), I think I do alright. I really like the Ad-based system where I can make an ad for each service I offer and Mark is really easy to contact.
One thing I HATE about Indy is the amount of hagglers, moreso than on non-indy sites. I've edited my profile countless times since I started just because I get so many ''Can I get a free preview'' guys/ hagglers and it's just annoying as shit. Are free previews a common service offered by Indy models or something? No hate to them, but I cannot stand that. I have enough photos on my profile. If you want to check me out, you'll pay for ten minutes and go from there. Fuck off. Also hagglers. I have my minimums posted in bold on the profile in a larger font, and I still get ''I want a five minute show'' guys. Bitch! I barely like ten minute shows. Also I've gotten a lot of ''I don't know what I want'' guys or vanilla guys and while I was alright at that in the beginning I've evolved into a straight-up sadistic dom-bitch and I'm just no good at being vanilla anymore. I should probably fix that tbh.
Overall I like the site and the layout, the payment system is nice and Mark is really easy to contact. I've gotten good enough traffic that if I don't want to work a full day on CB, I can just log into CMD and chill in between shows.

I wish I would had been a part of CMD before the new design. I signed up in May. Had quite a few good shows when I started but things have died down since June. Streamate may take a huge chunk, but my regulars always come back there. Not sure why the regulars just leave and never come back on CMD. I decided to stop putting effort there and keep my hustle elsewhere. I'm sure there's girls on the thread that still bank there, right? I just don't find it my worthwhile right now.

I make more money with new layout.I make about $200-300 weekly my cut.I promote the site to a lot of guys that wants PayPal ,Twitter or guys that googles my name and found me but want a cheaper rate .To be honest we do get 75 to 80% so it's only right that we bring some of our own traffic. Mark has always been kind and easy to reach in my opinion.I remember last year I got a warning for redirecting traffic elsewhere.I learned my lesson and always ask the guys where they found me at before doing shows with them. All in all I love the site but you got to promote and bring some of your own traffic but it's worth it with 75 to 80% cut. Camming is a business you got to build your brand and promote yourself.I guess I'm the only one that hated the old layout LOL. Oh yeah I do get guys that do find me on CMD so it does have decent traffic you just got to be patient because with Indy there's a lot of freeloaders that's not just on CMD it's just Indy life .

I agree the new layout I'm doing so much better with... I make a lot considering I'm always on the top...also consider I do not bring any traffic of my own..and I have a ton of regs on there that see me weekly . The only time I don't make money on there is if I don't log in!
For the paid banner list I have done it and really didn't get much...since I already do good and all the shows were regs anyways..if it's cheap I'll bid just in case you never know who could see you on the top.

This does not compute with me. Sites like Chaturbate, MyFreeCams, Cam4, etc take a much larger percentage because they have to buy traffic, cover chargebacks, and support an enormous streaming infrastructure. Their infrastructure lets you stream anonymously, gives you tipping functions, inbox messaging, subscriber lists, and group chatrooms. Their overhead absolutely dwarfs CMD's overhead, because CMD does not provide a streaming infrastructure. Sending new referrals that we acquired on our own to CMD should not be CMD doing a favor to us. It should be us doing a favor to CMD, because CMD didn't spend any money on acquiring those referrals. In that case CMD is functioning purely as an adult payment processor, so a 25% cut on transaction fees is pretty generous.

I ussually hit 80% pay out.so you get what you give.but dont forget he has to cover charge backs ,he has to pay for cost of running the site and pay himself for time and energy of running the site.I feel like 75% to 80% is very freaking generous. He wouldnt be doing it if he wasnt making a profit ,which is only fair.To be honest i make more on CMD then i do mfc ,sometimes. So not sure what to say about that comparison. At any given time i work 7 different site so all my indie sites are pocket change. All in all hes in it to make a profit and so are we.SO we all need to work togerther and get this money.

FYI: CMD does NOT cover chargebacks. Unless something massive has changed and I totally missed it. But yeah, if you get a chargeback against you, Mark takes it out of your $ and if you don't have enough to cover it, you end up in the negative. If this has changed, I would be absolutely shocked.

EDIT: Yes, he does cover chargebacks.
From the FAQ:
11. Am I responsible for chargebacks?
No. Unlike many other sites, CamModelDirectory assumes all responsibility for chargebacks. We use sophisticated anti-fraud tools to combat fraudulent charges that are likely to result in chargebacks. CamModelDirectory does reserve the right to terminate any model’s account if they have a large number of chargebacks submitted against them.

I really don't see the problem with the site...it's a free listing site /payment processor ...you get 75/80%
It's an Indy site...so you have to bring in your own traffic...
Out of all the Indy sites cmd brings in the most traffic! Without doing any work!

the payment % is where it should be to be honest. Only thing I am against really is the bidding for spots. Some may be against me saying that, but its 100% an opinion. It may work for some to get a great spot and pay for it. Other than that, I have no real gripes. I don't put effort into it anymore but it's not my style of camming at the moment. I see chickas bank off CMD and if it works, it works. :)

The same thing happened to me. I actually caught Mark last year before he launched the new site because he actually slipped up, lol. He was already speaking to me on skype about purchasing an ad so our windows were already up.
Anyway, he poses as a client and we do the dance and of course I asked him where he found me as well. He said CMD and if I'd be willing to take PP. I explained that if he found me on CMD, he pays on CMD. So I ask him what kind of show he wanted and all of a sudden Mark messages me the answers instead of this POT and I'm like seriously, bro? He was tipsy as I believe it was a Christmas Eve or something so he'd been drinking and he apologized.
He said he was sorry, but a lot of the traffic was being sent elsewhere and he knew some girls were stealing. I told him I had a clue he was doing it and he said it's really all he can do to make sure girls are stealing traffic. I felt a bit betrayed but I understood him. Honestly as much as I loved CMD so much, I agree with other girls- since the new site switch (and even months before) the site had died down for me. Perhaps it's because I also went from $3-4 or so and I notice most girls are offering $2-3 rates on average.
Either way I know I could bring my regs to CMD and use that but I feel like if I'm going to do that I also want traffic from the site as well. Perhaps if I do bring my own traffic I'll be able to rise high enough in the front page to gain more exposure from legit guys. I've gotten inquiries but they all wasted my time. It didn't used to be that way before. 8/10 if a guy messaged you he was going to go through with it and I have the past CMD email invoices to prove it.

Exactly. I've personally asked Mark for this but he said he can't afford it with him already getting a 20-25% cut. I would love to bring traffic and my paying guys to CMD but wouldn't risk it because I don't want to lose out on a percentage paid to other models. For those that missed it or skim the newsletters, this is new CMD policy:
Over the last three years CMD has assembled an extensive list of people who you should not engage with. The list includes the Skype IDs of those people who are known to be scammers, time wasters and/or fraudsters. We do everything we can to prevent these people from making purchases on the site, but sometimes they still get through. This is why it is now mandatory that you check the crooked clients list for every new client who adds you on Skype. If they are on the list do not accept their Skype invitation. If you do a show with someone who is on the list and we receive a chargeback or we have to issue a refund, you will NOT be paid for that sale. Limiting chargebacks and refunds is necessary to keep our costs down and avoid having to increase fees.

Sucks, but it's understandable. I'm sure chargebacks hit smaller sites extremely hard. I just wish the list was better organized.
Maybe there should be a separate list just for the chargeback guys. That would make it easier to see if it's been updated AND it would make it easier for us to block them ahead of time.

The crooked client list can now be sorted by date. So you can go though and block all the guys on the list and then just check for newly added/updated bad clients.

Definitely don't add them until they agree to (and have paid for) a show. Depending on the day, you might get one show out of 5 guys who add you. LOTS of time wasters regardless.

Yeah. I say "Hi, are you looking for a Skype show today?" If they say yes, I ask "Through which site and what exactly are you looking for?"
If they don't give me an exact answer of what they're wanting I tell them to fuck off because they're wasting my time.
I'd say 50% of guys don't buy a show or want something that I don't offer. But the other 50% are generally repeat customers and awesome.

@Girly_Girl - This is actually up for debate. A lot of models refuse to add a contact until after he books a show, but I take all the requests and then block/delete as needed. Here's some discussion from this thread about a year ago:
At first I didn't add anybody to my contacts until they had paid for a show. You can set your Skype setting so that non-contacts aren't able to call you, and I felt that was really important.
About a month ago, I realized that I was doing a lot of work because potential custies couldn't see my status. I'd get a bunch of contact requests when I was offline, and then I'd reply when I was online and ready to work. By that point a lot of the guys were offline. Then later after I was done for the day, they'd message back, not knowing whether I was still online or not. With most of them I'd play tag several times before we'd actually catch up. The rude ones would send a bunch of messages like "Hey!... Hello?... Are you there?... Where are you?... Oh well. I really wanted a show right now." >:(
For the past month I've been accepting all the contact requests, and I've been getting a lot less pestering when I'm offline. That means fewer messages to respond to when I start work. Despite my fears about guys randomly calling before they've paid, that's only happened three times so far...
Idk if this is necessarily the best way to do it, but I add everyone who sends me a request and block them as needed. I think a lot of ladies do what you're saying though (adding them after you receive payment) since it helps to weed out the freeloaders. In my experience, there are plenty of guys who add me and then buy shows days/weeks/months later so I accept every request just in case. You never know who's suddenly going to buy a show!
Hmm... I suppose some guys add you to Skype like they add you as a favorite on SM - they just want to remember you for later.
Yup, that's exactly what I've been thinking. One of my current regs didn't say a word to me until a month after he added me. You just never know!
I still totally stand by all of this, especially the stuff Scarlett said.
Just as an example, let's say that a guy is browsing CMD, and he sees you, me, and ModelX. He likes all three of us and sends us all a contact request, but decides he wants to do a show with ModelX. In the meantime, you refused to add him as a contact until he paid up, while I accepted the contact request.
Two days/weeks/months down the road, dude decides that he wants a show with someone new. He checks his Skype list and sees me online. By virtue of being one of his contacts, he knows that he liked my profile at some point, I was friendly enough to add him, and if he wants a show, all he has to do is message me and set it up. If he remembers seeing your profile at all, he knows that he will have to go back to CMD and dig around on the site until he finds you again. Then he'll have to message and hope you're online and not busy.
Want to bet about which of us gets his money?
All that being said, there are good reasons to refuse contact requests. If Skype is only a small portion of your business, you can probably afford to lose some paying customers more than you can afford to deal with timewasters, so taking a zero-tolerance policy might work better for you. Also, if you find timewasters so irritating that you would prefer to give up some potential customers rather than deal with them, it's also a good idea.
