Trying to get over burnout is never easy, so I knew it was time to call in the 'big guns'. I.E., my first boss that taught me how to sell, and how to close the deal, any deal.
I called her up last night, and came clean about what I've been doing for the last 5 years since the company I used to work for went under.
She told me that a friend of hers started doing phone sex, because she needed money when she lost her corporate job also. She makes between $2000-$3000 every week. Ok, Im listening....how and where?
This motivated me enough to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My ex boss is going to get the 411 on how to do it, then she's going to help me do it as well.
As far as camming goes, her only advice was that I should be enthused in free chat, and that customers can tell if I'm not. Knew this already, but it never hurts to hear it from a mentor that I respect.
This job can be so isolating at times,as we all know.

I always "get ready like I'm going on a date" jam my music, etc. I receive daily pay so that motivates me, especially if I need the money. SO, I get online and set a $ goal. Sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't but it motivates me to get online and see who's out there

These days the thing that gets me on cam is that I have just over 5 years til 30...5 years to get my shit together and actually make something of myself. Even if that something means being rich AF by 30 so that I can start a business or something. Aging, I swear it makes you motivated to work and motivated to make sure that there is something secure in the future.

I'm an artist (obviously I don't make a living from it or I wouldn't be here but it's what I live for so to speak) and I often get annoyed at camming for taking away valuable time I could have spent on my art or writing. Whenever that happens I remind myself that the reason I cam is to avoid having a fulltime vanilla job, which DEFINITELY does not leave any time for my art. Tough titty but hey. Sometimes you gotta rememind yourself why you do things.

Les Brown is amazing!
A must watch!
Btw thank you Kortney for writing about Tony and Les, I have been digging into it and finding Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn amongst Les and Tony... and it helps me so much. When you are surrounded by negativity (I am) and those are people you cant cut loose (family) its a tremendous help too learn how to build youreself up and become so strong and selfempowered even the most negative person cant bring you down anymore bec you start believing in youreself an can climb up instead of laying down when things start crumbling down.
I use to give up to quickly. Now when I come across an obstacle I see it as a challenge and a way to become stronger and better instead of something that brings me down its something that helps me become better in how to overcome and expand myself!

I haven't been doing it long, but having my own income motivates me. I've always been independent, but since becoming a housewife(which i love BTW),I've been hard on myself for not getting my own income after care-giving for both of my parents. I dont like the feeling of asking for money, even though he is my husband,i feel like he has too much control over what happens to me.Hes not a mean guy, very loving and sweet, and supportive to a degree about my new choice of work, but i have seen it happen personally to others and to myself, that that can change anytime. Also i'm fighting a years long battle for disability, the problem being my age,but i need money now.We just went through a month of having convenience store food to eat, because FS paperwork holdups. I made up my mind that I cant let anyone else decide for me, if im to eat, whether i can get my meds,or even if im to sleep in the street. This job allows me to work at home when im in pain, yet still put a smile on my face and money in my pocket to somehow take care of myself.

Seeing just how amazing life can be when there is money around. Went on holiday and stayed in some AMAZING hotels. Getting back home I realise now that I definitely want nice things and that if I just work hard enough they can be within my reach easily. Sometimes showing yourself what is out there is a great motivator in terms of knowing what to work for etc.

I am also a big believer in motivational videos, as mentioned in this thread.
What REALLY works is to watch a couple of them ( usualoy Abraham Hicks on Youtube) right Before I go to sleep.:)
I made the mistake of reading my town crime report last night instead, because I'm not working today. Big mistake! Thieves have been stealing checks and 1099's right from our mail boxes. It just so happens im missing both, AND a pkg. My aunt sent me. I was out of town during that week. Hmmm.
I had a nightmare that my landlord was stealing my cam checks, and cashing them. It left me furious, and broke.:-\ Somehow in my dream there was nothing legally I could do.:O
That's the last time I do THAT before I go to sleep.

I need to make a virtual version, but a chart of every half hour online, minute in private, dollar earned. It's gratifying. Plus,@ small present to myself for every x amount of money earned.

One motivated thought that hass been on my mind since making the decision to get back into this is to prove to those who don't believe I can do this....proving them wrong would be so awesome to shove down their throat!! Lol.

SO happy this thread has been bumped. Great motivator? Make a goal. Have in mind what you want to come through the year with. I realised that in terms of weeks, I was way behind on my goal and that I have 40 more weeks to pull together the money I need for 2017...it may seem like a lot of time, but bear in mind, the first 12 weeks have flown by really fast.
So let something like that be your motivator too.

I've only been camming a couple of months. The first six weeks I was really enthusiastic, and made way more than I expected!
The last few weeks I have really lost my mojo. Not sure if it's due to depression, or just being a lazy bitch!
Thanks so much for this thread ladies! I'm going to check out the youtube videos and get my ass back on cam dammit! :-)

Oh also, I'm going to set a schedule and stick to it! I need more routine, and to treat this like a proper job, as I have like zero self discipline!!
I really must do the same for the gym :-/

It happens to all of us, no matter how long we've been doing this so don't get too down on yourself, just make sure that you don't take too much time off when it happens. Also, some days, forcing yourself to get online is the answer. But yea, I'm currently coming off the back of a long week and I so don't wanna work today, so I'm just going to chug some coffee, do some exercise and get online because I know that later on I'll be sad if I don't.
You can totally do it! xx

I lost my motivation and ended up taking a month off (far too long) but I was really hard on myself and set myself unrealistic goals so I'd get so mad at myself when I didn't reach them. Now I set myself reachable goals and I always succeed which motivates me more and I up my game each time. I also discovered a schedule that works for me after a few trial and errors and make sure I sleep 8 hours a night. No more and no less!

I'm a bit late; but this all the way. I just got back from a mini holiday as well and did the same. Luxury can have that effect on you, lol. That and traveling anywhere you want with money in the bank. Le sigh.

I think of the deceased(humans and animals) as nonphysical allies that are now in a really good position to bring me luck, I guess it's like ancestor worship. A tip I've heard for dealing with grief over the deceased that I have found helpful is to focus on where they are now and not where they aren't. Also working might be good for you now because it may actually distract you from the grief.

Oh I'm so sorry hyori :( 2 years ago I failed a whole semester of college just grieving the death of one of my bunnies. People are like, pff it's just an animal, but who are they to put a value judgement on how much that animal meant to us? I still cry about Rosebun sometimes. It's hard and the pain never really goes away. I hope you feel your doggy's soul right beside you, and give yourself permission to grieve like a motherfucker.

First of all Hyori I am sooo sorry to hear about your dog. I can't even imagine what you're going through. I live in denial that my furbaby will live forever. **hugs** It's ok to give yourself time to grieve before you're back to 100%.
As for the OP - I watch youtube vids to motivate myself. When I am getting ready I play them in the background, or as I am getting ready for bed. (I also fall asleep listening to motivating or mental wellness hypnosis vids to treat anxiety, depression, procrastination, etc. My fave is Jody Whitely. She has some stellar vids for anxiety and depression, and I love her dreams manifesting hypnosis as well).
I stumbled on this one today and just knew I had to share. I freaking love Marie Forleo (her wedding workout vid is pretty amazing too.)

As someone who struggles with the occasional bout of depression and also severe SAD, I find that sometimes what helps is to ease in. Like make sure that you are awake at least 4hrs before your shift, take a nice shower, dress in something that makes you feel hot, take time to do your makeup, watch series before if you need to and then get on. Its motivating to get online if you feel that you look hawt.

I can really recommend trying a different site! I love my main site to bits, it is my first and foremost, and the one i earn the most money on, but I was getting soooooo bored. To the point I just couldn't get on cam at all and was suffering financially because of it. So fucking retarded when there is money there to be made!
I joined a new site (MFC) and honestly the difference in site culture and customers, the learning curve to get to know the site etc, has been a massive breath of fresh air and has renewed my enthusiasm for cam. I love learning, and i love building a little empire even more, it makes work feel more like a game that way. So try it, join a new site and have fun :)

Just to let u know, if u use the very same model of cams (c920) u wont be able to change between cams in the selection box on ManyCam cause u will only have a video device displaying aka 'Logitech c920' & i am not sure which cam will be picked to view if u have them 3 connected to the PC. In order to do this u need 3 different models.
you can change the name of the webcams in windows dunno how tho and if ur using OBS you can set up multiple visual sources and label them . im planning on having two cam set ups for sitting on my bed and standing and this is how i am planning on doing it (two 920s and label them via OBS)
what keeps me going is to make lists of all the things i want to buy and need to take care of in the sticky notes program for windows and i look at it seeing the fact rent needs to be paid and my furry baby needs more food and other things i want to buy after thats taken care of keeps me going when its slow

I've been struggling for the longest time, but its gotten to the point where I HAVE to be making money in order for things to be good. So basically everytime I don't want to cam, I just think about what it might be like to have medical debt, or no car...then I get on real quick.

Someone this morning mentioned my real name in free preview on cam! luckily no one else saw this guy type it, I didn't acknowledge him as I was doing stuff as well as being on webcam I only saw what he put when he left the room! I put his name into google and he has seen escorts, girls on webcam and bought stuff. He is either from Seeking arrangement, sugardaddie.com, pof or I just happened to give my real name out to someone I met online I don't know. I don't really care that much either it isn't the first time it has happened.
I have a vison board as well, I bought a cork one and I painted it in pink grapefruit from Laura Ashley sample pot. Pretty colour, then I pinned a big house I want to live in, more summer holidays abroad, surgery for my teeth and image. And wrote down what I want to earn every week and earn monthly after % from webcam. I have managed to achieve doing that three times! I hope to progress this week!!

If you're tired, but have some free time, log in- even if it's just phone sex and texting. You never know who can make your night and hit you up within the last hour before you log off. I just made $95 for staying logged into an egg I was going to log early out of, a little bit longer.
A trick I like to do to self motivate myself is to keep an image of something I want, or a bill I need to pay in my browsing tabs. If it's a bill it reminds me to hustle it off as quick as possible. If it's something I want, I divide it up by days and work towards getting it.
To keep it at the forefront of my mind, I scroll through the photos before my shift, look through it again before bed, and then when I wake up. It gives me a the visual push I need which becomes my obsession through law of attraction. Eventually I gift myself, and move onto the the next.
This helps me stay hyper focused long enough to push through it and move on or I'll become complacent. Since each day is going to pass anyway, as long as I work, the money will pile up. It's a sure thing.

I've been committed to a day schedule 8 hrs a day 5 days a week. Each morning I log in and within about 15 or 20 min into the shift I pull up a google doc that has my goals on it. I have three goals and each day I read them, focus energy & attention on accomplishing them, then release it...close out the document and remain positive throughout my cam shift.
I also use the LOA to stay positive and accomplish my goals. I've read three books on the LOA, listen to binaural beats with subliminal messages on the LOA, and am currently following the advice contained in the book "Think and Grow Rich".
I have met several goals this way and I'm so very grateful.

and am currently following the advice contained in the book "Think and Grow Rich".
I have met several goals this way and I'm so very grateful.
This! I did talk about this in the "stay the fuck on" thread. Geeez, I can't believe how faith can work and repeating every day your own intentions can work so well!!
In February I surpassed my monthly goal, in a total and unexpected way, just because I had FAITH that I will.
I did follow the advice in the Chapter 2- DESIRE.
I started doing this in December. I did write my exact money goal on a piece of paper and the way i will make those money by the end of the month ( working x hours per month, dressing nice, putting nice makeup, treating clients with respect, have new outfits, release clips, advertise, etc etc etc) then I started to write how much I deserve this and that I am faithful it's gonna happen if I show up. I also wrote that I don't doubt or ask myself HOW it's gonna happen, I just deserve this and it's gonna happen, I don't care how.
In December and february I did make and surpass my goals. In January I didn't read what I wrote, I didn't do what I promised and wrote with my own hand and... I didn't make my goal, ha!!
It's really powerful when you read everyday, what you write with your own hand and VISUALISE and have faith that everything it's gonna happen by the end of the month!!
In February everything started SHITTY. I forgot to read my note for a week, I got depressive. Then I took it out and started to read and remember what I promised myself. Within the next 2 weeks, I atracted a huge whale. Came out of nowhere and spent a shit ton of money. And guess what. I did WRITE down there:" This month I will atract a whale that will spend thousands of dollars".
For those interested, I've found this link with the chapter 2 I am talking about. Feel free to try: https://genius.com/Napoleon-hill-think-and-grow-rich-chapter-2-annotated
The guide starts from (p.42), but you can read the entire chapter, to understand better.
I did write a new paper, because it's the begining of the month. This time I dared to increase the goal with $1000.
In December I did dare to do this, set a goal $1000 higher than my normal average earnings and I met the goal. Now it was time to raise it again by $1000.
I'll come back at the end of the month and say if I did make it.

Shit! The matrix "don't think you are; KNOW you are"
Legit. Stating you have it is knowing it. & positive affirmations are a tool.
Imma be heavy on abundance affirmations in addition to being specific about intentions.
