If someone wants to strip till they are older, good for them. Some ladies I've encountered just love the work. They take to it so well that age isn't even a factor.
I admire them.
I admire their stamina, their dedication, their will-power, their resolve.... they deal with all the drama incredibly well, they float above the fray... and they make bank!

At this point in time, I think the highest spending customers are 50+ and they eat up more experienced dancers that understand how to entertain. Newer/ younger girls often lack stage presence, refinement, conversation skills, and other related qualities that go into entertainment. They often times are in it for the quick cash and are satisfied with doing a handful or dances or a room and then want to go sit around or text. The more experienced and mature dancers can keep a guy having fun for hours. I think these girls have years of experience on their side, having lived through the era when clubs were more about the show, and these older customers don't feel ashamed of the age difference. I think it's also important to specify that these are the girls that look in their 30s with healthy, hard bodies, immaculate hair and makeup, flattering and quality outfits and accessories and working in top tier clubs.
Now, when I'm say 50 I think it's inevitable that things will change in clubs. Things are sadly going down hill and I think the future era of older wealthiest customers will remember clubs differently. They won't have the experience of remembering clubs in the good days and will probably think back on girls looking sloppy, not caring how they treat customers, scam artists, and extras. While I plan to maintain my health and look for as long as possible and I like to think I will still strip occasionally I'm worried how much longer the industry as we know it will last.
This is sad but true. I really noticed it in a club I worked this summer that the average dancer was 23-24 and late( were open til 6) the guys are 21-7 or so. I was sitting with a fellow stripperwebber because there was literally no one to talk to and I said " wow this is the first time I've ever sat" and was talking about the girls who team on stage together( how they looked like they were paly dancing) that's how awful they looked, they walked around in bra and ugly thongs. Girls walk around with their topless for as long as they can, just lookls trashy. One girl constantly came over when I was with a customer. Like 3 conn guys came in and the 2 that team up were on the one guys lap the one guy wanted to take me and the other girl he was sitting with. I had scooted over to the guy who was paying and low and behold this idiot who'se friends with the 2 that team up sits on my guys lap. We gave him a tour of vip and he said he would then pay for 1 of the 2 so I finally spoke up( got sick of waiting) I'm there to male money not sit with my friends on guys laps all night and drink, I yell one of you needs to choose who's going to go back because he's only paying for me I point to the other girl and ONE of you. They all just stared at me like I had 3 heads. I finally got up and left and the other cool girl( who knew what she was doing) said she left and they got 2 dances and the other girls hung out the whole time. I was talking to my friend and thinking when I retire I rhink I'm going to train girls how to make real money. How to dress, act, speak. Maybe train girls one on one while I'm still working. I can't tell you how many times girls come to me and ask" what's your secret"? I'll pay you if you teach me. I also think it would be coo, to open a club that consists of dancers 25-50 the younger ones would have to be very polished , excellent hustlers like the ones I travel with from here but yeah It's sad that all the high end customers are getting scared off because the best of the best exist less and less in this business.

I wonder if it could be done, or if it's a personality/experience thing? Seems to me like it might be a cool angle somehow if it could be made into a source of profit.

Are you talking bout the chicks who wear payless shoes? Never noticed that. Not sure about the mcdonalds comment?
I always used to see the 20 year old doughballs stuffing their vagumachs with Mcdonald's and asking me why I'm eating "rabbit food". I replied "So I don't look like you!"

^ I do really believe in sales you just have it or you don't. I've worked with girls who 8 years later weren't any better at talking with customers and were making the same. Some dancers are just never gonna be 1000 night girls.( I'm thankful I have the gift of gab) I really thin a lot of the problem today is younger girls grew up with all this technology , to not have to communicate. They don't have to talk on the phone, they're always on computers, there's no real life interacting. I see this in younger girls I travel with and my daughter. There scared to ask for things in stores, hotels, etc, they're scared of human interaction where as I was forced to weather I like it ot not. But that's a whole other thread. I still would try to teach girls hustling skills, you never know there have been quite a few girls I traveled with who were better earners after traveling with me for a while( I guess they learned something from me).

Is she the one poster who has a animated woman doing pole tricks in her avatar or is that another one? I wish I could remember her name (I want to say Dorian something)but she looks amazing for any age and I believe she is 54 or so.

This is totally off topic but for some reason I've noticed younger guys who like older women tend to be big boob guys. Any correlation with that and maternal deprivation?
Not dancing related but when I did online dating or even in person I often attract much younger men. I could never figure out why but now that makes me wonder because I am large chested.

It's infuriating to me. I would pay you to teach them! So many of these girls are stuck in their ways. Currently my club has a shortage of girls because new ones start and either bring their bad habits and get fired or go to another club where they can get away with acting dumb. I get it, not all girls have the patience to hustle VIP and prefer pushing dances so choose mid tier or even dive clubs, but these young girls don't want to show up on time, invest in nice outfits, take care of themselves, or anything! I have way less experience than you and I am a young dancer but I started super young and listened to what top earners told me or just watched how they worked. It kills me to see girls that are just so resistant to learning from anybody. I'm always learning, everyday I learn something new.

^yup, that's what i mean by i wouldn't do it past 40 MAX. i also put a huge strain on my body the way i dance, my knees are sure to give out here pretty soon. the emotional wear is bound to show up physically as well imo. i'm not talking about all women, but a lot ( maybe even most) wouldn't be able to dance successfully past 45. if anybody is over 45, please don't be offended, that just means you are one of the rare, beautiful women out there!
I plan to keep going until 45, then quit for good. Of course, who knows...? But, it could be that this is only possible because I took 15 years off in between. ;)

I asked my bf what the appeal of older women was and he replied : "Older chicks are hotter because they take care of themselves more. They know they can't stuff themselves with KFC and sit on their fat asses all day. Plus, you suck better dick than that stupid girl Kelcee did. She was only 19."

I remember when I was 22 and started dancing. I use to dance for these weird brothers that called everyone miss. The one really liked this girl" sasha" I think she was around my age? He was watching her on stage with all this lust in his eyes and he told me see , you are too young yet to have that sexy, hot appeal like her. One day when you get older you'll have it. I think some girls get it at different ages but I've never seen any dancer under 25 that had it. It's hard to explain.

Hi! It's me, Dorien. Yeah, I'm the one on the pole in pink. Thanks for the compliments and props, ladies. Haven't posted in a while because of tech problems, having to re-change my name and all that. I'm still dancing part time but this year my focus has changed. I've actually become an aerial performer, getting paid in a "no stripping, no tipping" atmosphere, lol.
I will say this, if I absolutely had to dance full time as a lap dancer, I really don't think I would have the emotional capacity to keep it up. That would then affect my looks and attitude, (that affects your looks and so on). When your younger, it's easier to compartamentalize (sp?) the crap we put up with in the strip clubs. Now, not so much. I meditate before I go into work and really have to work to make sure I'm feeling positive. Ironically, I still get dances from guys in the early 20's & so far they haven't asked how old I am. I'm starting to see some aging in my hands and around my neck a bit. Nobody has said anything, but I know it's there:-(
I really do love dancing. I also like men. So doing it part time, is not so bad.
Here are a couple of recent pics from a show I did on the 12th: One is with my two dance partners: the one on the left is maybe early 30's, the right is mid to late 20's. There great chicks and amazing trained dancers. There other one is me on the ceiling while the one in her 20's has my ankles tied:-)

Tempest- You're in the gym all the time, from what I read and aren't you a Latina? Or half?
Well, they say 'black don't crack', it's true, but Asians and Latins are almost as 'crack proof':-) As for your body, just keep doing what you're doing, but don't gain or lose a huge amount of weight. And Sunscreen. I've been sunscreening my face since I was 22, at time when people use to hold up mirror things to their face in direct sunlight. I've never had a chemical peel or had my face lasered (though I think about the neck area from time to time).
What I'm saying?: You have nothing to worry about. You'll be hot for a very long time!

I've never had klonopin...curious:-)
Tempest: Your diet is good, you're putting in time at the gym, so what you're doing is good. Do you do cardio? Do you drink? If you do drink, that can slow metabolism down. There are a bunch of "cross fit" type apps on smart phones that are free that have great work outs for your core.
Do you use the pole at all? The simplest move called a fan kick works your entire core and obliques and back.
I don't recommend this, but you're young enough to do a fast and lose water weight quick to show definition. When you're older, you don't want to lose weight that quick because it will leave loose skin.

I stopped doing a lot of cardio after I hit my goal weight. I do about 45 mins 5x a week after weights to get me going. If I lose any more weight I'll be bones and implants! No drinking and no pole work but now maybe I should!

Tempest I'm nowhere near as in shape as you, but my tummy is my problem area, and I began doing sit ups from the brass bridge position (is that right, the one where you lock your legs and lean back?!) and I noticed an almost immediate difference,a quite big difference, from only 30 every couple of days.

Damn! You do more cardio than I do. Are you switching up things you do for your core/abs? Also, for cardio, sometimes I do dynamic stretching. If you haven't done it, it's like working out, stretching and light cardio at the same time. If you look it up on youtube, there are all kinds of vids. A bunch are sports specific: dancers, soccer, runners. It's kind of fun (I think) because you move your body in different ways.

Dorien do you have a gymnastics/dance background? When did you start on the pole? Do you perform for many shows?
I haven't done gymnastics since highschool, but I've been athletic all my life doing different things & I've always stretched.
I met my first pole in a club back in 1992. Instinctively, I could climb right away. There were no lessons or youtube back then, so I would go to other clubs to watch what other dancers were doing. Nobody was really doing a lot, but I managed to learn some decent spins and taught myself a layback dismount.
Fast forward to 2009: I taught myself some more spins, but that was it. I got a 3 month pole lesson package for my bday. My first instructor was the amazing Estee Zakar. I didn't even know what a invert was. She got me doing it in 2 classes. Anjel Dust, Mina Mortazie and Ann Marie Davies of Unitedpoleartists.com have been my instructors.
I did it off & on then 2 yrs. ago, I joined a studio for a really great price. I did a couple of recitals with them. This year I ventured out: I'm part of a group called Pole Artistry that performs in a regular night club once a month. I've performed at a couple of red carpet events this year and I'm competing in the PPC next March: Level 3, Entertainment, Masters Division. (Masters= 40 plus=old bitches on poles:-)

For some people cardio will make you gain weight. I've hardly ever done much cardio but if I do I sometimes gain a little ( which is hard for me) aerobic weight training classes are the best. Dao some kick boxing or A.W.T. mixed in with weight training. Diet is 90% of it.
