Vegetarians will have an inadequate intake of many micronutrients: Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin D, Omega 3 oils, Vitamin B12, and many others.
And the protein from meat source vs vegetable source is important. The body uses animal protein more efficiently for it's needs. The amount of lean body mass is directly related to the amount of animal protein you consume. You'll produce more testosterone if you eat more animal protein.
I know this is common banter about vegetarianism but it is total BS.
Edit: I will post scientific journal articles later when I am on a real computer.

I'm interested to know, why you are vegeterian. Is it welfare of animals or health concerns?
I can understand if it is animal welfare.

Vegetarians will have an inadequate intake of many micronutrients: Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin D, Omega 3 oils, Vitamin B12, and many others. Again that is opinion not fact. MOST people don't get enough vitamins/nutrients but are most people vegetarians or meat eaters in this country? ::)
And the protein from meat source vs vegetable source is important. The body uses animal protein more efficiently for it's needs. The amount of lean body mass is directly related to the amount of animal protein you consume.Cause does not equal effect. wouldn't having a lean body Mass be more indicative of the exercises you're doing/getting? and vegans have lower cholesterol because they don't consume nearly as much saturated fat. You'll produce more testosterone if you eat more animal protein. Again not necessarily true. With the way animals are slaughtered and raised you'll prolly be getting a lot more estrogen. A long side of the other ungodly diseases like e.coli and salmonella which can with stand cooking temps and freezing temps. and before you go on about veggies containing e coli etc...if you let your veggies sit in a hydrogen peroxide mixture for about 10 mins it will kill off bacteria
So for a girl, you'd look more toned and lean.
So unless you have moral beliefs, or you just don't like the taste of meat, I'd definetly eat Rudolph.

I'm not sure I'd agree with any of that.
All our food is messed up now. Vegetables and fruit are GM. Non-GM are sprayed with pesticides or can be cross-contaminated.

I am not disagreeing that are food is messed up. I was disagreeing with you that people choose to be meatless because of the reasons u listed. I was saying that there are more. I feel you're less likely to eat a gmo apple than say your average burger; for the simple reason that there's much more of a monopoly on the cattle and grain industry than produce.
