I rescued my younger sister this morning. Her car battery was dead and needed a jump. So we went to buy some jumper cables at an auto parts store. The guy that helped us was very nice, but the other guy at the counter acted really shifty, conspicuous and creepy, and stared at us whole time we were buying the cable. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I felt violated and like I needed a shower. Yuck! *shuddering* Bleh!

Funny, I jump started my car a few days ago too.

....I have a few dark scars on one of my arms & will have to Dermablend myself if I dance again. It is annoying, I was lucky to not have these issues when I full timed and now part time dancing will be a whole stage production with body makeup and hairstyling etc.....OH aging.

I am barely using the city apartment these days and attempted to rent it out.

It was a fail. Lol. As soon as I started chatting with this girl and answering some questions ( I had a pretty detailed ad ) , I lost patience with her .
She was pushy . I wanted to offer it for three weeks ( July 1-20 ) and she was pushing for all of July.
I don't like her now and she won't be getting it obviously.
I think most of it was that I was so specific I was just offering it for 20 days as a starting point ( testing not having it ).

I realized this is probably something I need to hand off to an assistant. I probably just need to vacate the space entirely if I'm serious about renting it then hand off the project . I hate people being in my space. Lovers are the only exception. I do not even like family or friends coming in to the apartment. I do know it's wasteful to pay $950 to use an apartment for only 7-14 days in the month. I think I was there *maybe* 14 days in June. There is a place I can stay for free if I can get it together on this project.

Well, I'm thankful to have a place to live, buuut..
This old man just moved upstairs.
He smokes, a lot, inside.
Now his girlfriend is here, he told me that she's visiting for a week.::)
Except, my other neighbor said she saw them moving dressers & stuff.
Last night they were sitting out front drinking::)?

Then there's the other guy on my floor, who never takes out the garbage, altho he causes 95% + of it. I've been taking it out, cause I hate that, disgusting! Not to mention he never wipes any of the kitchen surfaces, leaves dishes in the sink (as of now, since Sun.)
His excuse wb surgery (2 mo.ago) but he takes out his own garbage in his room, & plays outside w/his kid. He also has people helping him, which I have also, but done w/that!

From all the rain, we have ants, but I don't want anything else.

Thanks a lot for letting me vent!

I'm going to write the landlord a note, altho I previously mentioned all this before::)

Ok, so about 1/2 hr ago, I called the landlord..
I walked in thru the side entrance that leads to the kitchen..
Which I usually don't, as I have my own entrance, & it STUNK like an old bar, (cigs & booze)..
Also, my bathroom, which's below their room stinks of tobacco..
I told him he's got somebody up there, (supposed tb 1 person only per room. + that room is super small, ugh!)
The garbage container in kitchen was overflowing, stuff on floor.
I told him I'm not cleaning up after 4 people, & I don't want fucking bugs in here.
So he just reassured me, we'll see.

$208? That's so specific.
Now, I'm wondering what the $8 is for?
My OCD will be working overtime, until you answer.:bitelip:

^ It's a $640 take home amount from club after tips out / $500 profit after travel expenses amount.
That trip was so " meh " . Last night seemed like a promising start ( someone gave me $60 to order a couple drinks and said keep the change and then someone set a $20 on stage ). Then ...... for hours ..... I was just clawing to make dance sales.

I do try to look at it as gratitude for making anything as dancing is SUCH a risk ...... but " meh ".

I timed it to not be in the club on a weekend ( I hate the mixed gender groups that come in ) and not be there the last few days of the month.

The weird number was the whole point haha. On a busy night ...... I'd only count the bigger bills and just leave the 1's to be dealt with later.

Now I'm in a weird place again with stripping ( not wanting to lie about it to anyone I'm dating but not having the trust level yet to be open either ). My love interest just asked " how are you " via text. A normal question right ? Well ... how I really am is exhausted ! I drove out of town to work at a club, worked, then drove back, then got that text. ;/

I hate when I'm looking up a recipe online for something and it's on one of those stupid websites or blogs that are full of a bunch of ads and pop-up ad bullshit. Then you have to scroll through, just to get to the recipe at the bottom of the page and the page randomly scrolls back up to some stupid ass ad and the page freezes. That never fails to happen. Why can't there be a recipe website out there where they just get to the point? I get that they're trying to make money with paid clicks or people buying stuff through their ads and links but it's super frustrating when I'm looking to get a recipe asap before I get hangry(hungry and angry).

Thank You so much for breaking that down. I'm here at midnight, because I couldn't sleep without knowing.

It was to set *exactly* $500 in my cash drawer. Lol
That trip really got under my skin for various reason to be honest. Definitely need a 2-3 week break from that location OR I need to get it together more ( advertise I'm coming up more heavily for both dancing / massage and " pre-book " guys ).
Maybe it was a mix of my vibe ( I thought I was covering it but I desperately wanted to hide in the mountains and was trying to get the last bit of the month brought in first ).
I don't think someone spent more than $80 on me ( other than my massage reg. ) now that I think about it. No one was that " one guy ".

I will of course will be the first to admit my dog is obnoxious but I am always extremely careful and make sure he doesn't get near people when we're out especially in my apartment hallway. In fact I almost always carry him in and out of the building. Sometimes people still act terrified when he starts barking like he's completely out of control and violent and as if he was growling aggressively instead of just barking like a moron. This especially annoys me when people act all scared for their kids, I want to yell at them it's dumb to raise kids in an apartment in the first place, I have every right to own my dog and if that's an issue for you buy a fucking house. It's not my fault you are stuck here with me, fat loser.

And I have a Little through BBBS and tbh, I do not enjoy seeing her. She's definitely a modern kid, no matter what I do or how much I spend she is stuck in her phone constantly. She doesn't seem to enjoy any activity except going out to eat and I'm tired of trying with her.

So..
I just came in from a walk..
We have no sidewalks here.::)
I went around the block, across the street is American Legion hall.
I walked over there, staying outside, & sat on a picnic table by 2 sand volleyball nets. For like 5 minutes
I saw 2 people standing outside, smoking, the bugs were biting so I got up & left
As I was walking along, (a busy 4 lane) some middle age guy in an SUV pulls up, " Do U need a ride somewhere, cause you're just wandering??? Kind of nasty btw>:(
I gave him an incredulous look, & he said, "ok, whatever, have a nice day"
Fucking weird-ass>:(

My eldest daughter got lice. I don't even know how tf that happens. Call me stupid but I seriously believed that black people couldn't get that. Her hair is SUPER curly so imagine my chagrin at having to basically rake half of her hair off using that fine-toothed lice comb. It took 9 hours :grumpy:. I sprayed her mattress down with lice spray and put all of the clothes she wore in the last few days into a trash bag, tied tight.

Didn't work. Because this morning I grabbed my 4 yr olds cover and layed it over my legs just for two lice to catch my eye. I looked over at her like "WHAT THA FUCK...." and lice were very visibly crawling on her hair. Not even inside of it dude, just right on top. So guess who is doing a lice treatment for her right now :banghead:

I told my aunt and cousin about it (before realizing that my youngest daughter had it now, too) and they looked at me with the conviction of medical professionals like "but black people don't get lice." How stupid, even after all of this I STILL keep mumbling that to myself while combing nits out of my childs head.

Now half the house is wrapped up in bags, pillows have been thrown away, and no one is allowed to touch each other until I can wrap my mind around this shit. I did a lice treatment for my third daughter just to be on the freggin safe side. ALL of our dirty clothes have been quarantined. The couch was sprayed. All hats, night caps, and pillow cases are in ziplock bags and then bagged again with our dirty clothes. I've already decided to just do a lice treatment once a week for the rest of the damn month, I don't have time for this.

My bfs daughter comes over like every other weekend but I told him today that, for her health, he might have to make sure she doesn't come over until I've gotten this shit under control. It goes without saying that he'll likely take her over to his grandma's where they'll spend that weekend together. Lice or not, he has to see his daughter. But I cannot fucking believe this is happening. LICE, bitch?

Jesus Christ  what luck.

I'm racking my brain for how she could have possibly gotten it. I can't even touch my own furniture right now without treating it like the underside of a toilet seat lid. My daughter hugged me about an hour ago and after I realized that our hair touched I ran straight to the bathroom to check for anything different - and immediately hated that reaction. Now I have a personal issue with these damn pests. But thanks. I hope this part of life is wrapped up really soon.

Some of my massage clients know that I'm pregnant and have started asking me if I'm lactating yet. One asked if a lactation session would be possible, instead of a massage. Ugh, no! I'm not yet but even if I was I don't want anyone breastfeeding off of me. What the heck is with guys and the whole lactation and breastfeeding fascination? It seems like even the normal seeming average Joes have turned creepy about that, too. It is to the point where I wear thick bra's now whenever doing massage because I don't want anyone touching or trying to do anything to my boobs. They are painful and feel like they weigh 20lbs each.

I got a couple 'static noise' complaints, (one guy still went w/a show tho) & the other logged off due to connect. issues
I emailed support.

I swept thru the house, picked up beer cans/cig butts outside. Sprayed dry shampoo thru out, since no room spray, cig/booze smell. Gross af, then of course the other guy left dishes out, I scraped the grease out the pain, dumped in garbage, & dumped baking soda in pan.
Sounds like he pissed, from the banging noises in the kitchen, sorry not sorry.

Last week, we bought a ton of stuff at IKEA. When we got around to putting everything together, I realized we were missing a $50 coat rack. I thought maybe we had just forgotten to grab it, but it's on our receipt - we paid for it. We had so much stuff when we got to the register that boxes were being shuffled all over the place, put in weird places, and eventually put back in the cart in an entirely different order.

When we went back yesterday to tell them about it, they said nothing had ended up in their "left behind" stock, and then claimed that they reviewed the security footage of our transaction and "everything we came to the register with, left with us." I didn't want to be that person, screaming at a customer service employee about a $50 coat rack, but I call bullshit. We had so many boxes and random loose things, I don't believe they sat there with the footage and counted exactly how many things we came up with and how many we left with. I don't think they zoomed in to find the name of the item in question and then saw us put it back in our cart and leave with it. I think what they mean is that they watched the footage, looked to see if they could see any boxes left behind at the register after we left, and couldn't see anything. Which, I'm thinking, no shit - if it was somewhere obviously visible, we wouldn't have fucking forgotten it.

It was one of the first things rung up, and what I think happened, is the cashier moved it back behind the register somewhere weird to get it out of the way, and no one could see it; later, when a different cashier was cleaning up the area, they probably found it, assumed that it was something that a customer decided they didn't want, rather than left behind, and simply re-shelved it. It bothers me that they wouldn't check inventory to see if they had an extra one on the shelf. It really fucking bothers me that they made this claim about "what they saw on the footage" when I don't believe for a second that they scrutinized the footage that carefully to count our boxes coming up and going out. It's not like we had 4 things - we had a TON of shit that was overflowing, and they came to that conclusion way too quickly for me believe in their "detective work." There is literally no other place that box could be, and we obviously paid for it, which means it got left at the store. But because of their half-assed scrutiny of security footage, they basically told us "that's what they saw" and we were SOL.

I just said thanks for doing what you could to the lady at the desk and left. But I'm pissed. IKEA normally has had absolutely stellar customer service, and I feel like they really half-assed this and told us to go eff ourselves. The girl we talked to wasn't the one who "reviewed" the footage, and she had a super long line, so I didn't want to cause a scene, but I kinda wish I had. I'd like to see this security footage for myself and be able to see where exactly that box got put after being scanned.

I ranted to hubby this morning about it, and he agreed. I told him I'm not shopping there anymore after they basically told us we were fucked out of $50 for something that never left the store with us, and I don't trust their methods for "verifying" their viewpoint on the matter. We got what we needed this time around, but I'll be buying a different coat rack elsewhere, and said by the time we move into a house and need any new furniture, we should be financially stable enough to buy decent furniture elsewhere.

Something, somewhere got ahold of my most commonly used password. For the past 3 weeks, I've been getting notifications from almost every site/subscription/app where I use this password or some form of it, telling me my account as been compromised and to reset my password. It's not like it's an easy-to-guess password. I don't think anything bad has happened on anything, but I'm annoyed.

Aurora, go to bbb.org, fill out a form.
Better Business bureau. Good luck, I've had success w/this.
Or try the Regional Mgr of Ikea?
$50.00 is $50.00, it's YOUR $.
Or ask for the merch.

They’re probably lying and didn’t even have footage. It’s not like the camera can look into each bag.

I’ve had that happen before but on a cheaper item.

Unfortunately it’s hard to prove once you walk out the store - unless a Good Samaritan notices and tracks you down

I’ve never been to ikea and probably won’t go anytime soon since you mention this

Bingo! Dump that dude....

I guess it has come to an end. After a cool 3 weeks

I could be dying of anaphylactic shock and still no word from him.

Well I suppose this was the easy out I was looking for I’m just a little taken aback that a real medical concern was all it took to ditch him. Maybe it was that or me not accepting his Instagram request.

That’s my fault though cause I should have never told him I used social media. I’ma start telling dudes to connect with me on LinkedIn only so I know they won’t be with the shits

Anyways I’m not going to waste too much time thinking about it.

I wish I could block him now so I won’t be tempted to answer his texts/calls

Write an online review about this.

BTW I think they're defensive/paranoid because a lot of retail stores have people who try to scam free swag (they call them renters, etc. It's thing.) Wal Mart even does ban lists of repeat offenders.

However in your case you have the receipt and a plausible explanation. The store will most likely make this right once you do a review. I've honestly seen restaurants eat bigger losses to save face.....

My pissy annoyance- why do my fish oil pills give me toothpaste flavored burps?......Whyyyyy?

If she goes on bbb.org, most likely will get her $ back..
Or, as I suggested, go to a higher mgr, or like you said, go in the store.

Reviews prob. won't do much.

But, best of luck, whatever you do. Aurora.

I just got my $ after fighting over 9 months w/an insurance co, state dept of insurance.

Fuck what they think or experienced, yes I'm sure they get scammed, that's no excuse as you said she has the printed receipt.
I worked a fraud dept, I saw a lot of crap people did.

I can't believe how incredibly easy it is to find stuff about people in Sweden, it must be unique because I've never experienced it or heard about it anywhere else, I know it has something to do with an old law but they should update it to suit modern times because it's ridiculous what companies are apparently allowed to do with your personal information. I just googled myself too and of course there is immediately easy to find information about where I live, social security number, how much I make, who I live with, how long I've been living there, what vehicles we have, whether or not anyone in the area is convicted, some people have their occupation named and so on. It's very annoying and especially this one site particularly is written in a creepy stalker tone as if they know you personally like for example "Here X has been living all by herself for Y years" and it goes on like that. God this is practically enough to make me want to leave the country, especially the sensitive information is wrong to have out there of course but even the rest is way too much for me. Apart from the obvious stalker vibes, identity theft anyone?

It sucks but it's normal now. Some nations have strict laws about making info available so if the Legislature/ governing body says info is public you can't do anything about it.

Some of this is in part due to social media as well.

Before we realize it we done put out real names, real pics, real phone #, schools attended and a plethora of info about ourselves online.

Also like mentioned above public data (home mortgage, car, address, age/birthdate, etc) is simply being compiled by these data sites which anyone can view for free or pay a fee to view that info.

I noticed my previous vanilla job put my name and whatnot in some searchable online directory and I don’t recall giving them permission to do that.
