If there are any Mormon churches in the area you could try calling and say you're looking for some babysitter recommendations. Mormon teenage girls are practically bred to be babysitters and are very reliable. Make sure you specify a minimum age though, because you might end up with a 12-year-old babysitter lol.

I activated my Rover account so I could possibly nab some house sit / dog sit jobs in the city .
I got TWO leads for this and I SWEAR I changed my zip code 5 days ago in prep to come North and it didn't save.
Both requests are for my other area and both fall in that Nov. 22 - 27 time .
It would be super helpful to be near the city center ugh . :(

For real. I think because they’re so wrapped up in their ‘fantasy’ and are primarily concerned with how playing it out makes them feel they aren’t considering, or aren’t able to consider, how it’s reading to their observers.

Man the prices for having dogs being watched on rover are insane nowadays. It used to be like 20 bucks per dog and now it is at 50 minimum. It seems like a good way to make money though!

Yes I paid over $100 for my boy once but I did love his dog nanny seriously she was great.
I just figured around the holidays people are traveling it could work because I could house sit ...

Yes I think people are attention seeking too. Or want to belong ? I think people join groups they don't belong too and pretend so they can feel apart of something, I think it's weird and then why tell huge lies about your life. It's weird to me.

Oh , one of the rover bookings was $292. She had three dogs. Bummer it was in my old area.
I really wouldn't have charged that though , I would have adjusted it.

BD dropped some of my clothes off at a relative's house. The relative brought the clothes to me and my favorite dress was in there. He ripped holes in it and wrapped it around a stinky, old baby bottle of formula that apparently leaked out all over the place. Now the dress is ripped up and stinks so bad. I pathetically tried to sew it and wash it but the bad smell won't go away. I know that it's just a material possession and I should be glad that at least I got away from his abusive ass and am surviving, but damn..my favorite dress?! I bought it 5 years ago from a thrift store. It's just a black and nude lace dress but that one had sentimental value I guess because I wore it many times to weddings, parties, photo shoots, holidays, dates, and through 3 pregnancies(it had some stretch to it). I know I'm sounding totally ridiculous here with my attachment to a dress. I'll shut up now. It just makes me mad that he ruined it.

It's 4:30am and I've been woken up multiple times all night and fully awake and up since 3am. I started getting up halfway through the night to record every single time the car alarm goes off so the complex/police can't bullshit with me and say that I have no proof that it does it this often.
What really pissed me off though was my husband 1) arguing with me that this wasn't technically a noise violation - Yes the fuck it is. I looked it up. And then 2) laughing at me when I pointed out that the second I started pulling back the curtains and recording on my phone every time it happened, he stops the alarm after one cycle, which he has never done before. He said that was "in my head," that I was just trying to "villainize" him by thinking he's watching when he does it, and "oh, what if he's not even doing it on purpose, but his car has a malfunction?" First of all, I don't believe that with the way the behavior has changed over the past month. Secondly, IF that were the case, go park your fucking car at the community center across the street until you fix it then.
I'm more angry at my husband than jackass neighbor now. He KNOWS how badly this has fucked up my sleep/ability to work the last few weeks. Gee, I'm really glad he barely wakes up to it, and can fall back asleep in 5 seconds even if it does. But some of us aren't that blessed.

I would be seething if I were you!!
It's very possible the car alarm is broken. I used to have a truck with a broken alarm and it went off randomly, but we parked it at a storage unit miles away from residential neighborhoods AND disconnected the battery to make sure it didn't disturb anyone until we fixed it.
Have you been able to figure out which apartment the car owner lives in? If you can figure that out, then maybe you could go bang on his door or ring his doorbell every time his car alarm goes off. Maybe the alarm is not waking up him (some people can sleep through nearly anything) so he doesn't see how awful and annoying it is, but if you pound on his door several times a night it will quickly be an inconvenience to him too and he'll be motivated to fix it. Have you already left notes on the car?
Also, same concept applies to your husband. Every time the alarm goes off you should make sure he's fully awake. Turn on the lights. Keep him awake for as long as you can. After a few times of this he'll finally lose enough sleep to be motivated to fix the problem.

I tried doing my laundry and checked my mail for once during the day, in the hopes that I'd be left alone.

The car alarm has FINALLY been taken care of. Husband finally went to the office right on the heels of our next-door neighbor going over to complain about the same. (And lo and behold, someone was actually available this time!) They said the people below us haven't even complained - which is VERY sus, considering they complain about EVERYTHING else and have the lights flashing in their bedroom window every time that alarm goes off...
Either way - it hasn't gone off for 2 nights now. I slept so hard 2 nights ago, I almost didn't get up to my alarm, and I slept 13 hours last night. Feels SO good.

Seems like I've been on their waiting list forever for the "Instacart Shopper Only" position to open up (The option for people who don't drive, but would still like to do the shopping part), and it always says that nothing is available. Kinda thinking of backing out of it though...so I don't have to deal with a bunch of Karens (I have a feeling that the female customers would be more of a pain in the ass).

I had JUST logged in to my phone sex line, settled into bed, and started watching "Wednesday" on Netflix, when I heard a knock at my door.
Huh?
I peeked out the window and noticed it was some dude with a ladder and tools in his hand.
I have recently had all my repairs done, so wtf?
No texts from the office alerting me that someone would be coming over.
I never answer my door.
Watched him walk away and into another unit.
This kind of shit happens at least twice a week.
6 years of random people knocking at my door.
I have 3 do not disturb signs up, AND a no soliciting sign, which gets totally ignored.
I've lived in over 25 places in my adult life.
Never have I been so disturbed as I have been here.
It's now a law of attraction kind of thing, and I don't know how to stop it.
I spent the rest of the day keeping my windows and doors closed, and fearing that someone would be knocking again.

Because when people knock, I see that they have walked by every one else's unit to get to get to mine.

That is fucking annoying.
I have a "No Soliciting" sign on my door, and used to have a giant yellow Post-It note on my door that said something along the lines of "Hi! NOT discussing my bill with you. NOT buying anything or donating. NOT interested in flyers. DO NOT DISTURB me with any of this. Thanks, and have a nice day!"
I got scammed a few years ago by one of those people who come around asking to see your BGE bill. That's part of the reason I came up with that flyer. But I need to make a new one.
And still...even despite having that stuff on the door, there will still be the occasional person who'll knock on the door, and they think it's okay because they're "not actually selling anything." I don't like people doing this door-to-door canvassing for elections either. Leave me alone. I live in a bad area on top of it, so I really don't want people at my door unless it's company I'm expecting to have over.

At&t and their shady business practices. I was told that I would be on their ACP plan for $30/month. I was hit by a much higher bill today. I just kept getting transferred to person to person on the phone, only to be routed to some voicemail telling me to call back during normal business hours. I'm assuming weekday business hours because I called at 10am. I called back to see if I could just cancel mobile service with them and they said I'd owe $500 early termination fee if I cancelled. Wtf! I wish I had just stuck with Verizon instead of falling for the shady salesperson's lies about how I'd only pay $30/month if I bundled my phone with internet. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them for internet since my apartment complex has some exclusive partnership with them. Total bullshit.

I don’t get stalkers anymore. Probably because I’m a bitch.
I think all women should get properly trained in firearms. BUT don’t go out and buy a gun unless you KNOW how to use it and can be safe.
The best way to get rid of a stalker is to get a dog. You might need to go to the local shelter and get yourself a German shepherd.
Thats what the police told me. No lie. He said my dog was my best defense.
Sometimes it’s just coincidence. I’m energy sensitive, so I pick up on bad energy. Sometimes it has nothing to do with me, and the person is shady but if I ignore them they usually find someone else to bother.
Never open the door for strangers. Be aware of your surroundings.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Acting like a royal cunt is the best way to stay safe.
