Aw yay something I can contribute to being new and timid and scared of saying stupid things :D :D :D

1) I've lost 100 pounds in the past 3 years. The general consensus used to be that I was wildly unattractive until about a year ago.
2) When I was in elementary school, I was so painfully shy that I couldn't bring myself to speak to anyone I didn't really know.
3) I'm a nomad, I don't like to stay in one place for longer than two or three months.
4) I identified as a lesbian for about a year of my life
5) I'm a writer, the crazy things I do are going to end up in a book by the time I'm 50.
6) My stage name is one of many personas that I use in real life. There are many, many, people who think it's my real name, and know nothing about my camming. I like to think that it's because I'm a writer or actor, but maybe it's just because I'm a little crazy :)
7) I've been a hardcore vegetarian for almost 15 years.
8) I have a very serious ambulance phobia, and a less serious horse phobia.
9) You would not believe how extensive my nail polish collection is. I don't even really like to paint my nails.
10) I would take a nice RV over a million dollar dream house, no contest.

#7: I cry at concerts if it is a band or an artist that has impacted me in my life. Tori Amos shows used to leave me in puddles up until she started sucking.

Same here. I don't even bother buying her CDs anymore, but in the 90s I collected everything I could get my hands on. Concerts were a very emotional experience. The best was when I went by myself & didn't care what the people next to me thought. I danced in my seat, sang along (quietly) and balled. It was amazing. Now she looks like a Brats Doll & I find it hard to respect that.

wow STAPLES thats scary lol. Did the staples hurt? Or did u like it? I wish u had pics lol.
I LOVED it. The only one that hurt was the top one but that's because it put a lot of force against my clit. I'm a masochist though so it's a thing for me. I also do decorative needle art on my back. Well I don't do it that would be awkward but I let other people do it lol. I've got pictures on another computer still I think.

1) I lurk the forum all the time but always forget to log in and post, I always reply in my head, I should really start posting more. I get excited when I see new posts with loads of replies.::)
2) I am 22 and I feel like I am running out of time to decide what direction I want my life to take.
3) I am a loner, partially through choice/shyness (I can be super shy in real life) and partially to other people hurting me in the past that I find it difficult to let go and be with new people.
4) Every time I watch Chicago or Showgirls I dance around and make up routines while I am watching those movies.
5) I listen to music constantly - as soon as I wake up in the morning and when I go to bed at night.
6) I had braces for 5 years but lost my retainer and now all of my teeth have started to migrate, I'm going to have to save for more dental work. :'(
7) I love the sound of rain and thunder and lightning, I think it sounds beautiful.
8) I saw Striptease with Demi Moore when I was really young, somewhere between the ages of 7 - 10 and I thought that stripping was awesome. Never became a stripper because I am out of shape but instead started to cam. I watched the movie again years later and was kinda disappointed with how lame it was.
9) I love the candy NERDS, they are amazing and I could eat boxes and boxes of them.
10) Sometimes I just stand in front of my mirror for hours trying to shake my ass, I'm getting better at dancing because of it but I end up not doing other more important things haha.

ME TOO. Underwater footage of sunken ships creeps me out and I can't even look at video footage of submarines. Pics of them scare the crap out of me too, my worst nightmare is of swimming near a submarine or shipwreck. Any sort of manmade thing under water freaks me out.

I know no one asked for these (lol) but I would suggest 2 theories:

- Maybe, in a past life, you drowned? I would like to know what the fuck that means about me and brooms? Was I a bug that got crunched to death by a broom?
or
- The ocean floor is a portal to another dimension (I've read a lot about this theory in books and on forums). Like about the whole thing about how emotions alter water molecules and how water molecules have memory...

I love this thread :)
1-I'm an only child.
2-I'm a third generation(might go further back, but I could only trace it back three generations) psychic and my job, other than that of a smart ass cam girl, is doing phone readings.
3-I love cats and have four of my own-sorry, Staples-and foster for a rescue. I'll be returning a third litter of well-fed,healthy kittens this week, ready to be adopted.
4-I have a strong work ethic and sense of independence and started working at fifteen. Totally against the rules, but I looked older and I didn't tell the place my age.
5-I moved out at seventeen and have stayed out since. I could never understand how people live at home into their twenties, it would drive me insane.
6-I have naturally black hair that I got picked on badly for that I bleached for ten years, starting in high school. Spent about 40K on bleach and extensions over the years. Finally went back to my real color in 2010. It's really healthy and down to my waist now and I'd never bleach it again.
7-I'm a big nerd and almost always had all A's in school without studying much.
8-I finished beauty school, nursing school, and am a phlebotomist. But camming pays more than any of those.
9-I'm fluent in Russian....probably because I'm Russian.
10-The project I'm currently working on is an animal sanctuary.

9) You would not believe how extensive my nail polish collection is. I don't even really like to paint my nails.

This!!! Why do I continue to buy it when I have enough to wear a different mani everyday for a year. I see a pretty color or glitter and something takes over me. And then I found out about polish subscription boxes! Yes please. Even worse, I have to mentally prepare myself every time before painting my nails because I know I'll find a way to fuck them up somehow. I've talked to girls on beauty forums with the same addiction, but really all we do is encourage each other.

1. I speak three languages (English, Spanish, French), and Russian conversationally. I've also studied German and Arabic. However, I have never traveled overseas.

2. I have a closet full of camming clothes and shoes, and no single item cost over maybe $5. So, I'm an expert bargain hunter lol.

3. I'm married. No kids yet. Three cats.

4. I am allergic to cats, amoxicillin, and spearmint.

5. I'm from Louisiana, but have no accent.

6. My ethinicty is a mix of: English, Sicilian, Cherokee Indian, Honduran, Portuguese, Turkish, and Palestinian. But, I am an American by nationality, as a side note.

7. I am functionally blind in my left eye.

8. I am a cheapskate, with the exception of food and makeup. I will spend on that shit lol.

9. I have ADD-PI, mild OCD, and general anxiety.

10. I'm an artist (drawing, painting, etc.)

Ok this is fun and I can't sleep.

1. I have ornithophobia.
2. As a child I wanted to be a nun. I was Catholic and very serious about my religion.
3. I have 0 children. I'm 40. When I tell people that I never once ever wanted to have a child they look at me like I'm crazy.
4. When I was about 10 I became interested in the Jack the Ripper murders and to this day I still read everything I can find on the subject.
5. I have read the entire Bible, but only after I quit religion. I'm an agnostic.
6. I used to work as a concierge upscale hotel, and the price of "fraternizing" with the guests was termination. I turned down athletes, rock stars, and an Oscar winners but violated the rule once. Why? Fandom. This person was total c-list in town for a comic convention and I could not resist, because I am a nerd. I've never been remotely tempted to do anything like that before or since.
7. Neil Gaiman complimented my hair, once. I think this is noteworthy.
8. I write fanfic, and it's how I became such a good writer.
9. I've had dreads since the 90's

I've been either too tired to function, cramping, or busy since this thread was posted, but I'm ready to post right now, so here goes:

1. When I was seven, I wanted to be just like Dennis the Menace (except for still a girl.) You know, the one from the live action TV series? I watched it all the time and wanted to be that Dennis.
2. When I was 10, I got a boy cut, because I was trying to experiment with being a boy. I sometimes wonder how things would have turned out if I hadn't been teased by some of my family, though after talking with some of my friends who are transgendered or genderqueer, I know that I'm happy being female. Gender roles just piss me off.
3. I was a hardcore Baptist for five years, and stood against many of the things I'm in favour of today. If I found a forum like this, I would have posted a few Bible quotes then left. (I stood against those things because I thought doing otherwise would have confirmed my place in Hell.)
4. Although I don't believe the Bible as absolute truth anymore, I will repost or reblog anything that shows that not all Christians are the way I was. We all have the right to our beliefs, and an entire faith shouldn't be condemned just because some people who practice it are jerks.
5. One of the times when my mother was getting rid of stuff because she was moving, I grabbed a tea strainer that I remember from when I was three, because my brother used to tell me it was a monster. I knew it wasn't, but its actual purpose was a mystery to me for a few years.
6. I jumped out of a plane once. There's a video on youtube.
7. I'm visually impaired. I have my ways of hiding it while camming. Was going to mention it, as I'm sure we all have something we want to keep of camera, but I didn't want to draw all the attention to myself when I did.

8. I didn't know how to successfully tie my shoes until I was eight years old. Even today, I know that I have a "unique" way of doing it.
9. When I was ten, I used to climb onto the roof of my house via a tree in the front yard. One day, I lost my footing, and fell as I was trying to get from the tree to the roof. I didn't break any bones, but I scraped up my neck and my elbow. I told my mom that I fell when I was going to get the mail. I don't think I told her the truth until after I jumped out of a plane.
10. When I was younger, my mother often took us to the library. One time, while my big sister was with m twin and me in the kids' section, and sitting down to read to us, some guy who I know now must've had some kind of disability pulled me over to his table. I was four, and didn't quite grasp the concept of disabilities yet. (I knew I couldn't see like everybody else, and that there were people who couldn't see at all, but I had yet to learn about other limitations.) Anyway, looking back, I think he just wanted to play--he couldn't seem to speak, but he had put a puzzle piece in my hand. My sister brought me back to our table, and moved my chair to her other side. It was pretty scary for me. I knew about stranger danger, and that some kids got taken away by strangers, and I was just glad that my sister had intervened before he could take me out of the library and back to his house.

1. I'm an only child and I HATED it growing up and still wish I had siblings.

2. I can never watch movies, I have only seen maybe 10 complete movies in my life, I just cant pay attention that long, I lose interest in like 15 minutes whenever I try to watch one.

3. I'm soooo scared of aliens. I believe in them and my biggest fear is being abducted!! Whenever I hear a noise in the night I think it's aliens. (one time my upstairs neighbor was vacuuming in the middle of the night and it woke me up, I didn't know it was vacumming for a good 60 seconds..I really thought a space ship landed and they were coming for me lol)

4. I have a really strong intuition, and can read a person in as little as 30 seconds. (Sometimes I ignore it though because they totally don't seem like what my intuition was telling me but I always end up kicking myself later for ignoring it.)

5. I can scream really really loudly, everyone who has ever heard is shocked. I can only do it in an isolated place or the cops will show up though (learned as a kid that they are not impressed when they get called because you just wanted to show your friend how loud you could yell... oops lmao :-X ).

6. I wish I was attracted to women and could date one. I think women are beautiful and are usually sooo much smarter than men!

7. I looooove kids but I don't think I want to have any because I worry that I would make a horrible parent.

8. I hate panties, like can not stand them. When I wear them the only thing I think about is how long till I can take them off. I never wear them unless it's for cam.

9. It's really really really hard to make me mad, but once I am mad I turn into a psycho bitch lol

10. I am super impatient, I would say that's my biggest issue in life, I HATE waiting for things (including pvts! lol)

I know no one asked for these (lol) but I would suggest 2 theories:

- Maybe, in a past life, you drowned? I would like to know what the fuck that means about me and brooms? Was I a bug that got crunched to death by a broom?

I do actually believe that I may have died in a shipwreck in a past life. It's the only thing that would explain why I'm so terrified of them. I once got lost and accidentally stumbled upon a big ship in the harbor and nearly crashed my car trying to drive away. I couldn't even be near it; the feeling of death was so strong, it was bizarre. I think that was actually more scary than the fire I was in when I was 2. It's only big ships, though. I'm complete fine with going on small ferries and such, and I actually kind of like taking ferry rides.

Did something bad happen to you when you were younger involving a broom? Maybe you blocked it out or you were so young that you don't remember? I'm actually afraid of vacuum cleaners but that's because a few years ago when I was using one it caught on fire, and I'm afraid of fires. It's a weird association but it was traumatic enough that now I can't use electric vacuums anymore. Maybe a broom was somehow associated with something else you are afraid of?

1. I have a severe phobia of belly buttons. Ever since I can remember I have hated belly buttons. I don't like touching mine, having anyone touch mine OR seeing anyone touch theirs. I don't like seeing photos or videos of people doing anything involving their bellybutton. I subconsciously protect my belly button with my hand/arm if my partner goes anywhere near it....lol.

2. When I was in grade 3, my friends were really mean to me. A group of 3 people is definately a crowd. So as revenge,I started taking glue and putting it in their winter boots. I'd say I had to go to the bathroom and i'd go to the boot rack and put glue all over/on them. I didn't want to get caught, so I even did it to my own shoes once (only used a glue stick on the outside). Eventually I got caught by my teacher and had to sit down with the principal. I lied through the whole thing. I don't recall getting in more trouble after that. That is the one and only time I have ever gotten into trouble throughout my entire school life.

3. I'v had dinner with the Ambassador of Afghanistan [in my country]. I have a photo if anyone would like to see it :o

4. I have never wanted children since the age of 11. I made this decision after reading the book "a child called it". I decided if I was ever going to commit to a child, it would be through adoption.

5. I'v had my nose broken twice. Once by the back of a girls skull, another by a dogs skull (both banged into my nose). I had my nose repaired at the age of 16 after waiting many years. My nose was very crooked, and quite ugly for many years and I think that caused self conscious issues which affected me later in life.

6. I have body dysmorphic disorder. ^

7. I get vertigo very easily...I can get it from simply looking at a photo that is looking down from a very tall apartment building, etc. I get vertigo very often while watching movies.

8. My first "relationship" was when I was 15 [it was strictly online]. The guy was 21. At the time I didn't realize how inappropriate the relationship was or how stupid I was being for pursuing such a thing. The dude had schizophrenia and lived with his mother and sister. Now 9~ Years later, from what I understand he still lives with his mother and sister. The relationship was rekindled for a short period of time at the age of 17. I talked to him again when I was about 21~ but eventually blocked him on facebook. The funny thing is, I have never felt as much love for another person as I did for that kid.

9. My boyfriend doesn't know when I was a teenager, I had a couple online relationships. I was very much (and still am) addicted to the internet. My online life and activities have always been private and kept to myself.

10. I want all of the cats in the world to live in my house. :D

1.) I'm number ten of twelve adopted kids, ranging from ages 14-46, all different nationalities and living all over the world.

2.) I have a serious issue with moths. It sounds dumb, but I cannot stand them. The idea of a creature being able to fly into my ear without my knowledge and then find out it's there because it's flying around and I hear it. I have chills just typing it.

3.) I was born 24 weeks early (August twenty fourth is my birthday, I was due in December) and weighed two pounds & one and a half ounces.

4.) I went to an alternative high school which consisted of attending for a minimum of three hours a day, four days a week. They didn't call the teachers teachers, they were instructors and you would literally show up, get a list of work and have six weeks to complete it. If you weren't self motivated, you were going to fail quickly. I did. It took me an extra year to graduate but I honestly think it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

5.) In high school I was given an assignment to read four books. I bought The Dirt by Motley Crue and became obsessed with them. I did several projects about them and seriously still considering getting a tattoo for my love of them.

6.) Drugs and addicts fascinate me. The psychology behind it all is extremely interesting to me. I have tons of books about drug addicts, from rockstars to just normal people. I find them so inspiring. A Piece Of Cake is one of my favorite reads.

7.) My father died of lung cancer when I was 11 years old so I will never smoke a cigarettes because of it but I am the biggest stoner ever.

8.) I love animals and see myself perfectly content with a couple of cats (ragamuffin for sure), a pug (or two), a mini pig and a German Shepard.

9.) I think I swear way too much but I don't do anything to stop myself.

10.) I am crazy kinky and will never ever be able to be happy in a vanilla relationship.

1. I have a severe phobia of belly buttons.

Me too! I remember a childhood friend playing with hers and picking stuff out of it. It grossed me out so much. Do NOT touch my belly button!

4.) Ever since I was little, I've always thought of my mind as man. Like, internally I just identify as a man and always have. But externally and here on earth, I identify as a woman and am pretty feminine. If I have a soul or if my brain was a separate entity, it is definitely male.

Me too! I thought I was the only one. I can't explain it, really. But my inner voice and identity definitely feel more masculine than feminine.

7. I make my Latino husband pretend that he doesn't speak English as a funny sex fetish/roleplay. I think he thinks I'm joking... I'm totally not. He should do it more often. ;)

My husband is Latino too and I make him do the same thing! I love it when he speaks Spanish to me in a low, sexy voice... it's an incredible turn-on.

Okay, my turn! I hope I can think of 10 things.

1. I hate blowjobs. I love the *idea* of them, and fantasizing about them, but physically doing it? No thanks.

2. I'm very vanilla in bed. I like missionary & being on top. Moaning & a little bit of dirty talk. That's it! MAYBE doggy, but for some reason it rarely feels good, usually it's just uncomfortable.

3. Since having my 2nd baby, I feel like my vagina has changed. My clit has shrunk or something, and it doesn't feel as good/sensitive anymore. But penetration feels SO MUCH BETTER and my orgasms are so much more powerful. I don't like being eaten out anymore. Just gimmee dat dick.

4. My husband and I have such incredible sexual chemistry, and it keeps getting better and better as time goes on!

5. I didn't have any pain meds at all for two births.

6. I love playing classical piano! Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart. I'm only at an intermediate skill level really, and I didn't play for years because I didn't have a piano. Fortunately I finally got one a couple months ago and it's so hard to pull myself away from it!

7. I have a lazy eye. :( And my vision in that eye is absolutely terrible.

8. I'm not much of a girly girl. I didn't start wearing makeup regularly until... well, never, really. I wear it on cam, but usually I'm too lazy to put it on otherwise. I don't know the first thing about it and i'm probably doing it wrong. I have NEVER worn high heels and I don't plan on starting. I like clothes but I don't care about shoes or purses at all.

9. I LOVE TELEVISION and I watch way too much of it. I vastly prefer serial dramas over movies these days. I fucking loved & obsessed over Lost when it was on (and afterwards, I've probably watched every episode at least 5 times). Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and Game of Thrones are my recent passions. I also love comedies like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sunny, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, etc.

10. I have a very pathetic, intense crush on actor Nestor Carbonell (who played Richard Alpert in Lost). Like, I dream about him regularly. I daydream about running into him IRL because he's currently filming a TV show about 20 mins away from where I live. I will drool over photos & videos of him all day like a fucking creep. I don't know why he does this to me, but he does. O_O

1. I cannot rest my head on my husband's chest or shoulder cause I have a phobia of feeling his heart beating. Hearing it is fine, but I hate to feel it. Eww.. It gives me goose bumps.

2. I cheated every single boyfriend I have ever had. Except my husband.

3. I practiced vaulting.

4. What GR posted about the female-male thing. So far I thought I was crazy. Probably I would have died thinking I was crazy and couldn't even word exactly why. My inner male can be very sexist btw.

5. Certain memories I EARSE. Like seriously. Like it wasn't me or didn't happen to me at all. (I say it wasn't me, and I mean it. Yeah, I know it was, but still.)

6. When I was 16 I fucked a 36 year old author. Just for the lulz of seducing this known "old" dude. He started to make plans for our future, like he would marry me and stuff. I got bored with him a year later and got rid of him.

7. I'm not creepy I just have really good memory. This comes in handy because I briefly hear or read something and then later I can talk about it with ease or fake real interest and knowledge. Also I often used this to blend in anywhere while I was more social.

8. I don't like to watch movies. If they are bad I will feel that I wasted 2 hours of my life. I rather watch a few old ones I already watched and know they are good.

9. My favorite song is always different, but when I pick something I can listen to it for a whole week. Everyone hates this, and I'm always like, oh come on, just once more! It's so good!

10. I consider my looks pretty average, I'm no way THE sexy girl type, but I have that something which makes my life so much easier. I just walk in, smile and it opens doors, gets discounts, things I shouldn't or couldn't get etc. I really hope it won't go away ever..

1. I love to move, can't stand sitting still. I work out twice a day because by the afternoon my skin feels like it's crawling.

2. I hate being the center of attention IRL. I don't like it when people look at me in ways I can't control (ie out in public).

3. Up until my current partner I've never really cared about anyone I was having sex with. I thought everyone was conspiring in this big joke about 'love' and I honestly didn't think it existed. I firmly believed that sex and emotion were two totally separate spheres and never the twain shall meet, and I assumed everyone who behaved otherwise was fooling themselves. I've been proposed to twice in the past by guys I was seeing and I pretty ruthlessly broke up with each of them the day they asked. The only thing I regret is how I treated those dudes.

4. I'm a half breed but I rarely tell that to people who don't already know cuz I'm pale as fuck and I can't be bothered explaining an ancestry barely anyone has ever heard of (my mom is Mi'kmaq). I'm so accustomed to that approach that for months my best friend just assumed the picture of my mom in my living room was really my guy's mom (cuz she's so brown). First time he came to a dinner with my family he was all wait...what?

5. I eat the same thing for every meal, every day. eating makes me really uncomfortable and I hate the feeling of having anything in my stomach so I stick to things I know I can handle.

6. I would live in the water if I could, I love swimming.

7. I'm incredibly close to my parents and aunts but I've only spoken about 10 words with my brother in 15 years. I don't consider him to be a part of my family.

8. I dropped out of high school cuz I loathed it but I eventually went to uni and got three degrees.

9. I love to dance. I'm baffled by people who hug walls all night at clubs.

10. I play the tenor sax.

Uh I'm not afraid of murderers, burglars or anything. I'm afraid of aliens. I'm so afraid I'm sure if I ever see one, my heart will just stop and I will die. While I was child I read everything about aliens I could find. And then I was in dread of aliens. Sometimes I go to bed, pull the blanket on my head and don't dare to MOVE at all, because what if they are there? I so really hate it. Sometimes I'm fine, but then I just feel this panic and don't dare to look out of the windows or into the mirror because what if I see one behind me? I don't dare to move in bed, I don't dare to open a door, I don't dare to close my eyes while washing my hair. Very interesting btw, because this feeling just hits, and then I'm scared to death. While maybe just an hour ago I did the same thing and was fine. It only hits when it's dark thou. At least I'm always fine daytime.

Wow. I sleep with a bright nite light. Also have dogs. I have read and seen to many documentaries about Aliens. Not keen about that Alien stuff, I believe in them. Evil spirits too. So I keep dogs!

Ok, I'll play. :)

1) I grew up in a relatively rural area where people rode horses on the "sidewalk" (read: packed dirt paths along the roads and between plots of land), almost every house legally had to have at least an acre of land, cows, chickens and apricot orchards were a common sight, etc. However it was right next to a relatively urban area so almost everyone I knew growing up lived in apartments in a busy town. Culture shock in a 4 mile radius.
2) I didn't get my driver's license until I was 20 but now driving is my favorite activity in the world. There is nothing more calming to me than a long drive.
3) I may or may not be the product of a sperm donor who was "tall, Swedish, with 6 college degrees" lmao (my mother is mentally ill and I gave up on getting a straight answer out of her loooong ago.)
4) From 14-15 I went through every natural hair color, several unnatural ones, shaved my head, gave myself 10 new piercings and stretched my lobes to 5/8". On a whim I took them all out and let my natural color grow out. I got it all out of my system in one year and now I'm the most generic girl next door ever.
5) I taught myself HTML & CSS (and toward the end I was learning PHP) when I was 7-10 and I was actually really good (not just for a 7 year old haha) and I really enjoyed it. Then I lost Internet access for quite a long time and without the feedback from having people actually see the sites I designed I lost interest and can barely remember most of what I knew. Sometimes I wonder what I'd be doing if that hadn't happened.
6) I'm an only child. I was the very opposite of spoiled (insert sob story here) and to this day that stereotype gets my hackles up like nothing else.
8) Not so much nowadays, but up until a year or so ago my ultimate obsession was house/town porn. I would fixate on a city/area and research the hell out of it, look up houses on realtor.com, even go on that city's craigslist and window shop for furniture, pets, roommates. I can still spout off trivia about the average rent, crime rates, transportation system, weather, political leanings, architectural trends, etc of a whole bunch of US cities that I never have and probably never will visit.
9) I've never been in the snow.
10) I'm not sure if I'll have kids of my own but if circumstances allow I'd love to foster or adopt older kids.

Me too! When I was 10-ish I was really into computers & the internet (still am) and I taught myself how to design and program websites. I even ran a little home business building websites for people. I also learned Q Basic and programmed simple computer games.

Then I forgot most of it, the stuff I do remember is practically obsolete because this was back in 1998 or so. I still want to get back into it. I'm considering (re)learning everything, building a portfolio and freelancing, maybe even working a tech job sometime in the future.

3. I can't stay away from Mexican men. I don't know why lol.
4. I don't like other people touching me. I feel bad sometimes because my daughter tries to just run up and hug me and I just can't wait for her to stop touching me. Again I feel horrible about it.
5. I can't be in social settings where there is a lot of people around.
6. I like to dye my hair brown in winter and blonde during the summer. Idk why.
7. I was sexually abused when I was 11 until I was 14 but I am the only one who seems to be able to just get over it.

I am the same way. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I also hate opening food items that have those seals on them that are either paper or paper on one side and foil on the other & have tabs to pull. Ick! Like nails on a chalkboard.

I've talked to girls on beauty forums with the same addiction, but really all we do is encourage each other.

ha yes!! Whenever I go to the store and see a pretty color, I just NEED that color in my collection.. then it sits with the rest of them, rarely used, if at all :(

8. I have a natural gift to get people to open up to me. When I was young, I think people confused my shy nature as me "listening and caring" and I just grew to be really good at it. Sometimes it shocks me- the things people tell me, without me even asking- but hopefully this talent will be useful in my Psychology field.

omg me too!!! that alwaaaaaays happens to me. tbh i like knowing ppls secrets so i kinda love it lol..but i always feel like guilty if i barely know the person or not at all, i'm always thinking why are you even telling me this you don't know me lol!!!

the most recent thing was i was at cvs and the lady was on the phone and i was waiting to pay and then she was like 'sorry, that was my husband i was telling him how to turn the heat on, we lived in the same house xyz years and he still can't figure it out he has to call me at work to bug me blahblahblah' and i was just like 'yeah..men lol'... and then she just starts telling me how shes been secretly sleeping with his brother lmao ...like why are u sharing ur jerry springer stuff with a complete stranger :D

... and then she just starts telling me how shes been secretly sleeping with his brother lmao ...like why are u sharing ur jerry springer stuff with a complete stranger :D

Lol wut??? Oh man that's deep. That reminds me of my old landlady in my previous apartment. I lived there for four years and paid my rent in cash every month (it was a private house and they preferred it that way). After the first year or so when the landlady would come down for the rent money she'd start going on and on about how her husband beats her and she really wants to leave him but the only way she can leave him is in a body bag and I'm just like... O.o
Why are you telling me this, woman?! I don't want to get involved in your marital stuff, just take my money and leave me alone for the next 30 days! It may be heartless but those people were always crossing boundaries and coming into my apartment without my knowledge or consent where I just wanted to it be strictly business.

I feel like I keep contributing to this thread getting sidetracked, so here are five more fun facts about me:

1. When I was younger (in college) I didn't have a lot of time to meet guys in person so I used to go into yahoo chat rooms and set up dates with guys in my area. I was always really safe about it and actually met some really interesting guys that way. Only one time did this get me into trouble, but I don't regret it. If yahoo chat rooms were still functional I'd probably do it again.

2. I've always preferred dating much older men. At one point when I was 19 my boyfriend (31, the Jordanian guy I mentioned upthread) was older than my mother's boyfriend (29). It was kind of awkward, especially when my mother kicked my stepfather of 10 years out and moved the young guy in overnight without even warning me.

3. Speaking of my former stepfather, he is the one person in this world I actually, truly hate. He was verbally abusive to both me and my mother for the entire time I knew him. He nearly killed my mother in front of me but she still stayed with him. Now that I am an adult I really resent her for not protecting me and for choosing a man over her own child's emotional well being. It used to be so bad that I would sleep in my car in the street just so I wouldn't have to go home. They didn't seem to notice or care that I'd be gone for so long, even when they didn't see me for days at a time.

4. I used to be a cutter. I started when I was 11 years old and cut pretty regularly. At the time I didn't know that it was actually a thing, I don't even remember what gave me the idea to cut, I just remember holding a steak knife before school one day and thinking of all the times my stepfather would call me a fat bitch and I cut into my stomach like I was a piece of meat, which is what I really felt like. When I was 14 or 15 my uncle found out about my cutting but I convinced him it wasn't a suicide attempt or anything so he didn't tell the rest of my family. I haven't cut in a year which I am really proud of, but I can't say with certainty that I will never cut again.

5. I hate driving and haven't driven a car since I gave my car to charity in 2006. I have recurring nightmares that I am driving somewhere but the brakes fail and I get into an awful accident. I'm not sure if it's a premonition but I refuse to drive because of it, even though my life would be much easier with a vehicle. Maybe I'll renew my license and get a car some day, but I am not looking forward to it at all.

More MellyMay useless facts!

1) the worst sensation in the world is when water drips down from my hands to my elbows. You know, like, when washing your face? ugh.

2) i have an unhealthy love of "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" and am quite fascinated by the Rumney/Rominchal community.

3) I was somewhat of an exchange student to Osaka, Japan when I turned 16/early sophomore year. It was moreso helping with English while staying with a host family and going to their school. SUPER RAD EXPERIENCE and I neeeeeeeeeed to get to Tokyo someday.

4) I battle trichotillomania - a fun type of OCD where I pull my own hair out. You should have seen my brows in 2004. Jeezus. Now it's pretty much limited to me pulling out my lashes when super anxious. And I have pretty long lashes, so....FAIL.

5) I got into several universities out of high school but had my first real depressive mental breakdown, so I ultimately stayed local and went to the community college. I dyed my hair black and cut bangs a la Bettie Page so that people wouldn't recognize me and ask why I didn't go away for school. It worked for about 2 yrs.

6) I hate to be THAT GIRL, but I was quite popular in high school. (I swear that those aren't "the best years of my life" or anything.) Class president 4 yrs running, French Club member, debate club member, Leadership Team Representative, I even joined the Islamic Open forum & did Ramadan because I wanted to learn more.... JV cheer co captain as a freshman, Varsity team soph thru sr. year, varsity cheer captain sr year. Team went to nationals all 3 yrs I was on it. A summer of swim team. Friends in all the various silly cliques. Oh gawd. Now I'm just a burnout pothead, lol.

7) I had to get a training bra at 8 yrs old, and have been wearing a bra in close to my current size since 11/5th grade.

8) For the last 3 years I worked for the best company EVER (socially conscious, caring about employees & very supportive of wellness & womens' issues) but essentially, I sold clothes to old rich women. I am bad at clothing retail...and I have no fucking clue what a 57 year old woman wants to wear. I did find out that the biggest request is something to cover the arms.

9) My brother was born at 5 months & spent the first year of his life in an incubator and multiple surgeries. He has physical and academic struggles that I can't even fathom.

10) The Tupac hologram at Coachella 2012 during the Snoop & Dre performance really was the coolest sight to see. Really. Laugh at me if you must.

I have a question regarding this that I have always wanted to ask someone and I pray that it isn't offensive: Is there any way that one could transfer their trichotillomania to an area of their body where it is more 'acceptable' to be hairless? Like pulling out leg hair?

Funny you say that......I have had just a natural progression of where I pull. Oddly, in high school, it was the little wispy hairs around my then center part and my bikini line. Once I changed up my hair, it went to the brows. The lashes have always been a thing....enough that my mom & bestie can look at me and say, "Stop pulling!" just by seeing how sparse they are.

I do take N-Acetyl-Cysteine which seems to have helped. But I don't know that one could consciously transfer the focus to different areas of the body. The thing is, it happens unconsciously.....I'll just randomly notice myself picking my lashes, not so much that I'm thinking about it beforehand. Hope this makes sense.

And no offense taken!

I deal with this off and on too. In my case it's mostly my eyebrows and sometimes the hair around my bikini line. It's not transferable for me.

Yeah, that's more or less what I do. When I'm stressed, I'm freakishly smooth. There's even patches of skin that stopped growing hair.I think it's out of fear, as in they know what's coming lol.

I don't post here a lot, but this looks like fun ;)

1. Food is my best friend and worst enemy. I love everything about food, the way it looks, the way it tastes and cooking it, but I have had an ED for the last 8 years.

2. I married my Israeli husband for his papers, I had just turned 21 and he was 27. We ended up falling madly in love and 4 years later we are still together and I am planning on converting to Judaism.

3. I could eat the same thing every day.

4. I am obsessed with Vampires and Witches.

5. I am very intuitive and I am seriously convinced I have some sort of supernatural powers.

6. Growing up, I was obsessed with Soap Operas. One of my first childhood memories is of my mother explaining the Marley/Vicky storyline on Another World. My mother names me after a character on Days of Our Lives lol

7. Growing up I was very very shy and afraid of just about everything.

8. I prefer to be alone and I only have about 3 friends who I don't see very often, they all live in different states/cities.

9. Growing up, my sisters where my best friends and they still are. I prefer spending time with them than anyone else.

10. I am a black girl with brown eyes and Naturally red hair. Growing up I hated it and now I love it and will never dye it.

9.) My favorite movies of all time are Sister Act 1 and 2. I realize there are better movies out there but those get me out of funk when I'm in a bad mood. I don't actually own copies of them but they came on HBO one night so I DVRd both of them. I now threaten people with violence if they even think about deleting them. .

OMG I LOVE Sister Act lol the second one I my favorite. I can recite lines from that movie all day. My sisters and I even have inside jokes about it.

Awww this makes my tummy tickle! Am I really going to do this?!

1 I am a VERY private person, only my partner has seen all of my faces and endured me even in my lowest points of life. I have three friends who I allow inside my life and keep contact with, of which one of them I dont trust completly either. I never have been part of "a friendgroup" larger than 4 people.

2 I lived in a fosterfamily since my birth. My mother was an achohol addict and choose to leave the hospital for getting booze (and she coudnt come back because the doctor ordered her to stay) while I was at intensive care being born 2 month to early, and was fighting to life. My mother died when I was 5 years old, I dont have a recollection of seeying her in real life. I only know about her leaving me at the hospital alone for a year now, my fosterparents never told me before. Noone knows expept my partner, I try not to think about it.

3 I hate people whistling, i cant stand it!!!! Especially happy whistles, which they almost always are!

4 When I was 12 I had a crush on the female teacher assistant of my class

5 I am quite confident when it comes to men, and dont even smile at them since it will make them follow me around as a dog thinking I "hit" on them. But when it comes to woman I am SO shy, I dont even dare to talk to them sometimes. I would love to dance and to flirt with a woman, but because of my shyness this will probally never happen

6 My therapist told me I had to be in therapy for 3 years (5 days a week), I left after being there 2 weeks and managed to get work (camming) and getting on with my life leaving a depression behind

7 I have a high heel fetish - for real! I still want to find a woman/girl who can wear my heels too and wants to walk in them in front of me (hahaha so pathetic, I know.. I feel like a man right now)

8 I am diagnosed with borderline (and more) and sometimes I am really tired of my own thinkingprocess

9 I hate my nose since I was 16 and I dont even want to look at it from the side. It irritates me everyday

10 I love the song "call me maybe" which is really strange since my background is like anything but popmusic, but its always cheering me up

* I have a serious dentist-glove/dentist-pain-fetish since I was around 14. I just love going to the dentist! This is also the reason I had an hole in my tooth filled up without a painkiller-injection

* I have problems facing things positivly, I am working on it. Camming helps me a lot with it, since I am forced to smile and act happy all the time. It helps, nly some times I fall back very hard.

* I collect My little ponies with Twinkle eyes!! I almost got them all mint/near mint

PS I tried really hard to not only write negative things... since they pop up first I hope I didnt wrote down to much of them. Its kinda nice to share things I normally never share

1- I am adopted and an only child. I grew up wishing I had siblings.
2- I have a phobia of leafs. Not the greens ones on a tree, but the dead brown ones that pile up on the ground. However, I love fall.
3- I am extremely competitive. I love game nights bc I ALWAYS win. probably has something to be with being an only (spoiled) child.
4- I love dogs, but only my dogs. I have 3, but only 1 gets all my attention. I hate cats.
5- I love music. Almost ALL music. Music usually reflects my mood. I can't understand people who are musically closed minded. In recent years the uprising of iPods/iPhones has compelled people to force their musical taste on the people around them. It really agitates me. I don't want to hear your sketchy phone speaker blasting lyrics that don't make sense in the middle of walmart, and please don't come to my house with your iPod and speaker and expect me to put up with it. It's rude. Not everyone shares your taste, and not everyone shares mine, but let's remember that there is such a thing as manners. If it's my house, you will listen to my music. K thx!
6- I can't figure out what color my eyes are... my mom always said they would change, depending on what I wear, between blue/green/grey.
7- I cried like a baby watching Catching Fire. It was my favorite Hunger Games book (I'm sure I cried a lot reading it too). I do hate that they messed with the mockingjay Pin subplot in the movies. I felt like it had such a grand impact on Katniss and the story line.
8- Only a handful of family and friends text me or posted on my FB for my birthday. I was devastated. I always make sure to text and spend time with people on their birthdays, and I felt really empty that no one could return the favor. Thankfully, my mom always goes out of her way to make me happy, so I didn't dwell on it all too much.
9- I have ZERO legit friends in RL. I have family, and even they mostly suck.
10- I love to cook and entertain, but since I have no friends, I cook super huge lavish meals and gorge myself.
