Run from this ladies! I have done freelance work for years, mainly in the writing industry, but revenue share aka ad clicks are a joke. Literally, thousands of clicks for a few cents. Some do well, but the number of clicks will not increase without your popularity. This means you will not upload 1-2 clips and earn good money. The more money you want to make, the more you have to upload. Realistically, this would not only require you to upload several clips a day but promote like hell as well and still not come close to a few grand a month. This is very similar to SEO. I haven't been camming long but this is a rip off unless offered some type of upfront pay as well.

If they get their content from Streamate's affiliate program, then they don't need the 2257 info. They don't own the content, they just promote it with permission. I am an affiliate with a few sites and not one of them provides that info because affiliates don't need it. If there is an issue, you refer them to the site that owns and provides the content.
But what about affiliates like LiveViolet who litter tube sites with SM recorded private shows? Thats what I meant.

That's what I wanted to know. That's really good then, because that means that we can get anything taken down. Its not like tube sites aren't already littered with cam shows. But at least no one would really own the rights except for us. That's good.

Wow, I'm surprised they allow watermarking!
I may do it just for the publicity. A few softcore vids wont take much time to put up and I feel it may be worth it to take advantage of their traffic and direct guys to my streamate chatroom through my screen name watermark.

Cam shows are tricky. Streamate says they own the cam show recordings, but I am not sure that is really accurate. I think in the newer contracts they mention that but the older ones don't.

I just want to throw in that when I was looking at adult website software, I came across some software that crawled tubesites for you and downloaded all the content on them to your site. So even if you take your content off this site after you've uploaded it, chances are that it's been crawled and exported to a bazillion other sites under your nose.

But Streamate affiliates do not, so they would not be uploading our stuff to tube sites. And without a 2257 and the ID, the content would not be allowed to stay up. The same policy as now.

There was some good info in this thread, but it dropped off a few months ago.
I signed up for Pornhub's program, because I saw an ad for it on extralunchmoney.com. All I've uploaded so far is a photo set..but I have to say, as soon as I signed up, I was swamped with friend requests! One thing you guys did not mention is, it has kind of a social networking component, where people can friend you and subscribe to your "stream." Your stream can be videos you've watched or uploaded.
I've already had a couple guys want to cam with me on Skype--I'm hoping to convert them to cam customers that pay straight from my website cc processor.
If they allow watermarks, I don't see what it could hurt to upload some simple, sexy clips you woulnd't sell elsewhere (I've noticed porn doesn't sell on my clips4sale..only fetish..cuz they can get free porn anywhere.) So, why not sell porn type clips? Solo stripping, etc.
Any feedback?

Seriously, this probably won't make anyone here any money. I spend hours trying to get my stolen content REMOVED from this site. People who get porn on tube sites are freeloaders..the same ones who will never spend one cent for a cam show. To think they will see your videos for free and then be so intrigued that they must join your site is exactly what the assholes who run these sites want you to think. IMO and many years if experience in this biz, a freeloader rarely converts in to a paying customer. Rarely. I am now hiring a company to send out DMCA notices to all these tube sites to get my content down. It has HURT my sales dramatically over the years.

Of course they want to Skype, for free. Maybe I'm just not a good enough hustler but in my experience it's a waste of time interacting with these guys on free tube sites.

Well, we'll see..I'm often surprised at where my cam customers come from.
I actually don't have a membership site for them to sign up for. My main way of making money here would be to get cam or phone sessions thru Niteflirt.
BTW, I figured out the catch here..they sent me a verification email, and the language in it states "FEATURED videos will make ad revenue." the catch is, they have to like your video enough to make it a FEATURED video. They choose them based on quality, lighting, length, etc.
I'm willing to be the guinea pig and try it because I have a few masturbation clips that didn't sell on C4S and I don't have a members site...they are old, so why not post them there? I'll keep you guys posted on what happens.

So..preliminary update..I have been SWAMPED with friend requests on pornhub. I've uploaded 2 fapping clips, that didn't sell on my C4S store. Also uploaded a couple of photosets. I have guys writing me like crazy. I'm giving them my skype ID. I'm gonna try, when they friend me and wanna cam on Skype, making it clear I only cam for money.
I'll let you guys know how it goes. So far, Pornhub has had no problem with me watermarking my images w my website, and my videos have a copyright with my URL..has not been a problem.

They would need to lay out how exactly you get paid (ad revenue-wise) before anyone should sign up IMO. It might actually be a really good idea to do with teasers for your website or cam site.
The reason paysites turned into tube sites is because they realize they (as in like Manwin) can make way more money off free tube site ad revenue than they could off paysite membership fees.
I think that's the problem. They almost sound like those studios that never tell you the percentage but say "make up to 10,000 a week".
Since they don't want to tell you what you'd earn exactly then it's a nice way of saying make .000015616 per view. This is why they're not advertising the real numbers. It's probably not going to amount to any real money.

Free advertizing... LMAO no honey they want content so they can direct & sell that traffic to where they want it to go. Literally to line their pockets with millions while paying you pennies.. If your value is pennies then go for it.
A smart girl can do more on twitter & social media rather than hunt down free loading losers on a tube site.
There is NO excuse the percentage should not have a range but all terms spelled out in a contract that performers can read beforehand to determine whether or not to sign up.
You want to trust a robber baron then YOU do it Dddallas & tell us the results.

I don't know that, just cuz they're getting free porn on Pornhub, they wouldn't be willing to pay you for something else.
Like, for ex, your panties.
Or a cam show..
They have SO much traffic. I haven't checked to see how many friends I have on there now, but my inbox is stuffed full of Pornhub notifications. Many of the guys are asking for my Skype ID.
When I'm ready to get on there and accept them, I'll make it clear, I don't do cam sessions for free, and see what happens. If most if not all of them drop off, well..then, we'll have a good idea whether you can monetize their huge amount of traffic.
I'm also going to check my Google Analytics next week and see how much traffic I could be getting from Pornhub to my website, since I've watermarked photos and my video.

I did make a thread about this wondering if anyone was on this site. I have an account on there don't even remember when I made it. I am thinking of going through their Amateur Model site and use it to boost more traffic to my cam shows and my up coming mini paysite.
The company I thought I would work with to make site has 1 video clip of me on there. so I can pretty dominate myself on there if I upload my own stuff.
maybe they can merge the thread

Yeah..it would be great if they could merge the thread!
My plan of attack so far has been, upload photo sets with my website URL on there, and upload really short (3 min or so) masturbation clips and the like..making sure I have my URL in the videos.
Whenever someone writes me, I tell them to friend me on Skype. I'm logging into Skype on Wednesday to see if I can get any paid shows from the guys who've said, they friended me. So far, I have almost 1000 views on my videos! And nearly 200 friends, and almost 200 subscribers. I'm certainly getting a lot of traffic and attention, but whether that translates into $$, I have yet to find out..
The other thing I'm gonna do is, check Google Analytics to see if pornhub is bringing any traffic to my website :)

Ok, so I checked to see if Pornhub was sending any traffic to my site. The answer is, NOT MUCH. In the top 60 referrers, Pornhub was 57. Pretty sad, given how popular their site is.
I suspect guys just tend to sit on that site and not leave. It would be great if pornhub offers camming directly on their site, like xhamster does, but I haven't checked into that.
When I logged into Skype the other night, I had about 50-60 contact requests, and I think most of them were from Pornhub. I wasn't able to stay on long enough to try to get paid shows.

Seems that site is pretty useless unless you just want to watermark a vid and slap one up on the chance it may drive traffic to your cam site room. then forget about it.
I've had the same experience any time I have added guys to Skype from a free site.
I never ever add them to Skype any more until they buy a show. That way if I go available on Skype only men who have proven they can buy are on my list. I do leave messaging open, but if a guy just keeps chatting and doesn't buy I ask them if they want a show today. That either shuts them up or they let me know they don't ever pay to watch cams and then I block.
Much better way to get Skype shows is to put ads on cammodeldirectory or other listing sites. I only have limited energy and I have to be sure I'm getting $ for my effort.

Update.I actually sent them an email, to get some clarification on how this all works, and here is what they replied back:
"Amateurs get paid for featured videos. Our system randomly picks the good videos based on views, ratings, quality, length etc etc to feature. I see that your first videos has been selected and queued to be featured. It will then get earnings and many more views once it’s on the homepage. Please note that the queue of amateur videos is about a 2-4 week wait, so at the beginning it can be a bit slow but it will pick up!"
I'll keep you guys posted!

So you have to wait for them to pick your videos in order to make money. Otherwise all the content you put up there is just free content for them. The tubesite gets to chose who makes money & which videos convert into sales. Putting that $5000 to $10,000 a month in earnings even less likely.

The pornhub rep saw my post on GFY.com. I don't think he was happy with the replies I was getting. I was met w/ the same skepticism I'm getting here. They can take advantage of our free content all they want, but if at the end of the day, the girls don't make money, word will get around, and it will deter people from joining. I hope they realize this.

Saw this day coming.
1. They have put 80% of the porn biz out of biz so they have no new content to steal from.
2. They bought the rights to dvds from the 2000s, then the 1990s, then the 1980s. Ran out of that content.
3. They bought several companies out or did deals with them so they can't put those full scenes on their tube sites.
Now they come to the only people left making content individual girls in the promise of money, but only if they choose the video.. LMAO
They have a beast a Very HUNGRY beast they need to feed with NEW content daily to keep up the traffic they need in order to make money in selling it. I say let the mother fucker starve.
I get it, it is a robber baron tactic that they forgot one essential part in their evil plan, they need new fresh content to feed it & don't want to use the sites they own content to do FREE content with.
Maybe they need to come out of pocket & pay for the content themselves to put up for free since it is supposed to be such a money maker. Oh ,no, why not con the girls left in the biz into thinking we can make $5000 a month by adding content for free.
So is it at least converting into skype shows for you?
Seems to me going non-nude doing creative clips in a non-sexual way & putting them up on youtube would be better branding & traffic, not to mention monetize it rather than stuff for porn tubesites.

Update--so, my first video I posted now has about 40,000 views...which you would think is a lot, and would make me that thousands and thousands they promised, right?
Wrong!
I had to wait, until they decided to make my video a "featured video", before I started logging ad revenue. I check nearly every day to see what my total is. At first, my pay went up quickly to $25. After that, it started accumulating VERRRRYYYYYYY SLOWWWWWWWLLLYYYY. My total is now....WAIT FOR IT....a whopping $27.10. :(
So..i don't see how you can make this "thousands and thousands" like they promised.
I've since uploaded 4 other masturbation clips. They all have about 200-300 views, and have not been picked as a "featured video" yet. Who knows if they ever will.
Meanwhile, I've been giving the hundreds of friends I've accumulated, my skype ID..so I got tons of requests on Skype from there.
Only thing is, now I'm unhappy with Zombaio (they've been paying out SUPER LATE) and I want to switch cc processors, so I can't take credit card payments for cam shows right now. So I haven't been promoting cam shows heavily at all.
I suppose I could give all the guys on Skype, a link to my streamate or Kink Live profile, and see if they go there to pay for cam shows.
I just don't see how to make any money wthis program, as of yet. :( I guess none of you are shocked, lol

Not at all defending tube sites cuz I dislike them for the same reasons everyone else does here but they do actually purchase content as well. I've sold off quite a bit of mine to them this month alone.
Of course they need a ton, so they are also hoping people freely upload it on their own....just saying they do actually buy content.

It says you're paid "a portion" of ad revenue. I'm guessing the idea is that while it's free for people to view your vids someone has to pay for advertising and you get a portion of that. But I'd be curious as to what the average ad revenue would be and what percentage models get.
It might be a pay-per-click kind of thing. The more people who view your video and click on the ads on the page, the more money you make. I don't know how it works for sure but that's one idea.

You can see it as marketing tool, cause it will be, but can you count on thieves to be honest & pay you out the real numbers your content does for them? How can you trust a thief? Put up a few clips where the nudity is brief & at the end, see how it works out. A bunch of watermarked teaser clips might build up paying custies for you in the future. Use them in a way that you benefit the most.
Smooches,

From how much I've looked into posting vids on free tubes sites as promos, NONE will allow videos with watermarks or links in your comments back to your own page, they want those who use them for advertising to PAY like iFriends and Streamate do.

Hopefully their underestimating the group-intelligence of camgirls will help to bring on their deathrattle.
It always surprises me that men in this 'industry' haven't figured out that us camgirls operate like some sort of a sexy Borg by now. ;)

They have had no problem with me putting my URL on my photos or in my clips.
