One hell of a week...

Preliminary results are in for the 2nd Annual BoleynModels Camathon!

We're still calculating bonuses, and we're fudging them a bit upwards considering we were planning on paying out double what actually happened. Anyone that worked all 7 days, even if they struck out a day or two, got at least $25. This will be included in Monday's pay for most people, though Paxum people will need to wait about 3 days.

By the numbers:

100% More Cam Time than a typical week.
210% More Earnings than a typical week.
Models starting the week with the best intentions: 44
Models that finished the week working all 7 days: 12
Models that dropped out on the last day: 11 (Grrr!)
Individual earnings records set: 3 (Highest single paid show on CMD, Highest week on SM, Highest day on SM)
Most BoleynModels on SM's front page seen simultaneously: 12
Total new favorites on SM: 1340
Total Cash Awards: $1100
Total Prize Packs Value: $400
Total Cost to mail Prize Packs: $120 (damned Canadians)
Weeks of reserve funds burned through: 3.2
Alternate bank accounts wiped out: 2
Time spent in the bank this week: 6.5 hours
Puppies finding a good home this week: 1
Rent checks paid in full this week (counting anyone making $600+): 27 (estimated)
Advances requested in a typical week: 12
Advances requested this week: 1

Compared to last year when we did this, we must have just gotten a pool of harder workers. We were expecting about 1.5x the model weekly earnings. We got closer to 3.2x. I'm still just stunned and I don't think anything could faze me.

The takeaway lesson is that putting 50% more time into a site will double your earnings. I'm hoping that the ratings bump that everyone got will carry forward into future weeks. Whether you made it or not, everyone did put in a massive effort and this can be called an awesome success. Thank you!

^^ That is just the shit. I think I had my highest earning week on SM to date last week and hell if I don't want to try to beat it next week!

ETA: I had to check. It wasn't just my highest earning week. It was two times what I've made in a single week on SM. It was also my highest earning pay period on CMD (broke the $500 sales barrier in like 9-10 days total, which normally takes me like 2-3 weeks to do!).

Congratulations, ladies. Unfortunately for me I worked all 7 days but on the last day I didn't get any shows in time, lol. Go figure. I should've gotten on earlier but I had a lot of errands to run.

I didn't work on the last day :( But it was a really conscious choice. One thing this camathon brought into view for me was how awfully I have been treating my body, using energy drinks to fuck with my sleep and not eating the right food. Although I was sad to give up the bonus money, I had a chance to plan my March around what I learned from this. I have a funny feeling I will make more $ in March than ever before, and as I get ready to eat a healthy balanced dinner before hopping online for my second shift, I am really glad I tried :)

It was a great experience though. I felt this was my lowest earning week. However, I did learn to actually complete something and it makes me want to hustle more, and harder :) Now I know what I'm capable of and I'm sure you bbs feel the same way.

Katy...I'm signing up with your company today. I have a hospital bill to pay ($2100) and want to knock it out soon. I don't know what cam site to go on though. I used to be on IMlive but the freeloaders drove me nuts! I think I left there 2 years ago. lol I'm on MGF now but the traffic there is spotty. I don't have super high speed internet since I'm in farm country. I do have a decent cam and usually work during the day with only occasional nights. Can you recommend a site to start on? I was told SM, CMD and AW all would work with my internet speed...but I have read about every single cam thread on here and really don't even know how to compare them. Help please!

Working CMD and SM at the same time, especially with a new account, should be just fine. If you can handle token sites well and have some experience, MFC is also worth a shot.

OK...thank you! I signed up and filled out your SM form. I will start there. I hope I did it right.

Trying to get to grips with Paxum and how it works.

The website seems to say that you're only eligible for a paxum mastercard if you belong to a 'corporation payroll program'. So does this mean I won't be able to get the card?

You probably want a personal account and not a business account. You don't need a corporation payroll for a personal Paxum account.

Did you speak to an agent about getting a card? I don't ever recall reading about payroll when I got mine. Maybe that is a typo or terms have changed in the last 5 months?

I messaged them, and they've just replied with this:

To be able to apply for the card you need to receive a payment from a Corporate Entity (Paxum Business Account).

After you receive the mentioned payment you will be associated with the payroll of the company that sends it, regardless of the transfer amount, and you will be able to apply for the Paxum Prepaid Card.

The Apply for Card link will become available within 24 hours of the transaction.

I'm guessing we get paid via a business account owned by BoleynModels?

Sorry, busy payroll this morning...yes, being paid by us would qualify you. So far as I know, that rule has been there forever but I'd never seen it actually enforced. I'll put $5 in your account now and see if they relax. They just told me on the phone that you'll become "qualified" to order the card online in about 24 hours, but if you call their customer service as soon as this transfer goes through they can do it now.

Now to go to the post office to pick up some coffee...

SO finally getting back into camming after a year break and daily pay I think may save my behind! I have to pay my 115$ internet bill by sat or its shut off and ive made like 33.... I need all the good energy everyone can muster to get me the rest of the way there! I simply cannot understand why I cannot get enough 4 star ratings to do gold shows and boost my ranks. Both other times ive started SM accts it took less than a day! I need men with loose wallets who like Huge boobs :)

There's no withdrawal system...if you're with us you should see pay coming into your chosen bank (more or less) regularly. You won't see the funds actually disappear from your Streamate account.

Post cam-a-ton burnout is real. Seriously.

This week seems so insanely quiet around here also. Streamate is up 25% this week, so last week's pain was worth it for everyone involved. They just now shipped the coffee to us yesterday, so prize packs are delayed...what I thought was coffee on Tuesday was a notice from the state tax agency thinking we were selling you bbs retail and wanted sales tax for you. That was an awkward phone conversation.

hyori
03-05-2015, 09:23 AM
Sakes Tax Agency: So, let me get this correct, you don't sell any retail merchandise?

Katy: If it was possible it would definitely be illegal and impossible to ship.

New here. I've read the first several pages, but this thread is very long. What is the final word on IMlive? Can I transfer without having to start a new acct? I've had my acct there for many years and I'd rather eat dirt than have to go thru 120 hrs of flc lol.

Also, since SM has first paycheck delay, does that mean that I'd have to wait on my money even I chose Instant Pay?

Can someone please reply asap? I need to get started right away if there is no delay.

TIA!

The only delay with getting paid daily is the bank verification period, which I believe is currently up to five days, and then we send anything earned during that time as one lump payment before proceeding to daily payments (as long as the banks are open).

As for IMLive, you do have to start a new account (and close our your old account). However, you can pause free chat at any time and it's like the paid only option, where guys can still take you private and not see you until in pvt during that time you are pausing it.

KatyBoleyn
03-06-2015, 06:28 PM
Bank account delays can be up to 5 days, but usually a lot shorter if the numbers are right the first time. We've had a lot of wrong numbers lately given to us, either by accident or bank issues, and with our very touchy batch system it really messes with things. If you aren't sure you're giving us the right numbers, just snapshot a voided check and email us so we can double-check it.

BUT

There is light at the end of the tunnel :) Lots of good banking stuff in the pipeline. We just signed a very cool deal today and we will move to a whole new and very easy/flexible system next week if everything keeps going. Now if the weather would quit messing with our Streamate checks we'll be in real business (don't worry, still plenty of funds to cover for the next weeks). After almost a month of living in terror that the bank would call each night saying "oops, we didn't send payments" I think its finally behind us. I'll put out the details in an internal newsletter, but I don't want to say anything concrete until we're sure exactly how things work. We've found that what banks put in the brochures don't always match up to reality (good and bad).

We also signed a deal with a very good web development company from CA, so model dashboards are incoming. We'll need a few test rabbits (errr...beta testers) over the next few weeks so we can test out payment speeds and the new dashboard features. We had a strategic meeting and decided to push back our phase II credit building/financial services stuff and focus on tightening down what we already do...so that means the timeline for the usability of the website has been moved up several months, but the financial services part is pushed back. The goal is that by this summer we'll have a very complete program for helping build your financial status up by simply being with us, which will have immense value even if you decide to retire from camming - not just daily pay, but building awesome credit and legit banking history while you do it. Some non-profits are helping us "under the table" to develop tools and processes to make it happen.

BTW, we used SM's "overnight express" FedEx for our check this week...turns out that regular mail is faster.

Edit: Yes, it sounds like I'm babbling like a crazy person...but its going to be a lot simpler than it sounds.

Hi I wanted to know what's the usual wait time to expect your deposits? It seems like its taking up to 3 to 4 days for me to get my deposits I thought it would be sooner than that?

KatyBoleyn

Can you email us about that? There might be a specific issue with your bank. In normal operation, direct deposits arrive in the early morning of the next business day after they're posted.

We emailed a response to someone and found the follow-up emails are broken...the last NinjaForms update somehow ate them. They were due for an update anyways, so we'll get a fresh one written tonight and anyone that wants it can email us. We'll try to make an easy booklet explaining everything (contacts, transfers, signups, etc).

Update: At least SM's problems seem to be fixed...everyone that's working is banking!

Update 2: We found a bank that cammodels (or anyone) should never work with...dear god, I thought BofA was bad.
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/directory/regions-bank

Update 3: Kicked my lazy webmaster in the pants, forms are getting success messages and confirmation emails added across the board, and updated where necessary.

KatyBoleyn

SM transfers have a lot of factors actually, email us and we can ask the right questions.

Generally speaking, if you do everything in the right order, you can be up and running again in about 2 business days. Don't try to do it on a weekend, it will take a lot of extra time.

So the model gets fronted the money then, and you guys just wait the two weeks for the check to come? I did a small stint on that site many years ago, and I recall them having a waiting period for first time pay. What I was asking was if I could immediately start to get cashed out without having to sit thru that first wait period.

Yes, that's what happens! We don't put in any waiting periods to pay you at all aside from what it takes to get your bank account verified in our system. So if your bank account is verified and you earn more than $20 on SM or IML (or any combination adding up to $20 or more on two or more sites in our program), we pay you daily after the daily cutoff time passes without any sort of waiting period. The studio then would get paid by the site after the normal site pay period ends. So if you worked IML today, we'd pay you tomorrow and then the studio would have the money in our hands after the IML sent out studio payments after the end of the normal pay period on the 15th.

It looks like the main page is messed up right now for some reason. Here is the direct link to the main model sign up page for the studio https://boleynmodels.com/main-signup/advanced-model-signup-2/ and then you pick which sites you want to sign up for. You can pick which sites to sign up for at http://boleynmodels.com/network-websites/

I'm finally attempting to get back into a post cam-a-thon routine on SM after taking a week off from narcolepsy issues and generally burn-out.

One private every 2 hours simply doesn't cut it. I hope working earlier hours tomorrow helps.

Pay seems a little weird for me right now but I think it's just the shift from P2P to ACH still. Hopefully this new bank helps it feel more regular than it is now. I still don't know how to handle weekends, and this one was a bad one for me to figure it out.

Hope my nights become more regular this week, because my sister is coming to visit from the 13-21 so I really need the monies. ;-; Come on boys, show me the money.

Here's my handy guide to ACH delivery (SM specific, but you can adjust it to any site). I don't receive deposits on weekends and holidays muck all of this up (depending on your bank, anyway), so keep that in mind because your bank may do Saturday ACH (meaning you wouldn't have to wait until Monday--see chart--for some Thursday/Friday earnings).

That said, ACH delivery for SM, in PST timezone:
Monday, earnings from approx. midnight to 7 a.m. -- sent on Monday morning, received by Tuesday morning.
Monday, earnings from approx. 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (SM cut off) -- sent on Tuesday morning, received by Wednesday morning.
Monday, earnings from 4 p.m. to midnight -- sent on Tuesday morning, received by Wednesday morning.
Tuesday, earnings from approx. midnight to 7 a.m. -- sent on Tuesday morning, received by Wednesday morning.
Tuesday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. (SM cut off) -- sent Wed., rec. Thurs.
Tuesday, 4 p.m. - midnight -- sent Wed., rec. Thurs.
Wed., midnight - 7 a.m. -- sent Wed., rec. Thurs.
Wed., 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. (SM cut off) -- sent Thurs., rec. Fri.
Wed., 4 p.m. - midnight -- sent Thurs., rec. Fri.
Thurs., midnight - 7 a.m. -- sent Thurs., rec. Fri.
Thurs., 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. -- sent Fri., rec. Mon.
Thurs., 4 p.m. - midnight -- sent Fri., rec. Mon.
Fri., midnight - 7 a.m. -- sent Fri., rec. Mon.
Fri., 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. -- sent Mon., rec. Tues.
All other payments (from 4 p.m. on Friday to midnight on Sunday) -- sent Mon., rec. Tues.

I use the 7 a.m. cut off as my hard time for knowing I'll get it the next day during the week, but Katy has very graciously waited until I've finished a shift at, say, 9 a.m. before sending payment, on multiple occasions. 7 a.m. PST is just my version of ass covering.

SM is probably the most obnoxious of all the sites to figure out because they use a timezone in Europe for cut off. I'm going to work tonight (March 9th) and SM is going to say those earnings are for the 10th in my dashboard. On days I work super early, I have to remind myself that if I'm early enough I get the money in less than 24 hours, not in like 48 hours. It's all sorts of confusing. Hence my chart.

Good luck. Hopefully I'm not totally rambling and this is actually useful to someone.

It should be a company name on the payments, all personal names should have been omitted starting about a month ago. Banks simply aren't used to dealing with daily payments, which is an ongoing nightmare on our side as well. Our bank is used to businesses putting in their payroll order in a week in advance, so they have time to check it when they get around to it. I'd be sympathetic but we are paying hefty per-transaction fees so they need to earn their money too.

Edit: Just realized which bank you're using. We'll address that soon.

With the SM cutoff times, the new bank will let us push payroll back a few more hours to we can at least get closer to SM's timing.

Lots of "behind the scenes" action today and last week. I'm going nuts not saying anything until its all put together and ready.

I think everything settled over now... They just wanted to more info and how often I would be getting them, I told them to just expect them everyday sometimes a few days in between ETCC.. They said okay they just had to check to make sure there was no fraud going on...so I think it's all good now *fingerscrossed* I love the daily payments!
