Would it be alright to switch our payment methods back over to Direct Deposit now?

I don't think I will have power or internet by late tonight as a result of the hurricane (I'm not in an evacuation or flood zone, but I expect the power to go out regardless) so I likely won't be able to check for updates or change any details on my BM account after today.

I already switched my payment method JIC, but please let me know if that wasn't the right call.

Same. "It's not us it's them". lol So patronizing.

It's annoying that these regulations even exist. You know the men making these rules use porn. 100%. Also, Wells Fargo got in trouble a few years ago for literally defrauding their own customers. Stealing money from their own customers, but we're too unsavory for them? SMFH

Another one, HSBC was laundering money for drug cartels, fully complicit in the money laundering scheme, and they're still in business.

It's completely baffling to me how these people can have the cognitive dissonance to say they have the moral high ground when they behave this way. I mean we are just having fun with people. Helping them let off steam. Helping them let their freak flags fly if they're too oppressed to do it IRL.

I know the world is not fair but it still annoys me. I want to line them all up and paddle some sense into them. They'd like that too much though.

I'm in Texas so, yes. It works for US models.

How often do you get paid through Cosmo? Like can you request payment every couple days if you need to? I don’t necessarily need daily pay.. but if it works like CB or Mfc where you recieve the money in 2-3 days that works for me

I also just received the email from V. “It’s not you it’s us.” Lol. What pricks.

Well, I knew that email was coming eventually.

Good news is CosmoPay just approved my account. Yay! I’m so glad it took less than 24 hours. I just submitted the documents they needed to get my account set up and I already added Cosmo as my main payment source on BM. They said it should take 2-3 days to approve everything, so I can get paid. Now we just wait…

I’m hoping everything will be good to go by Thursday, so I can at least get paid by Friday.

I still don’t see my credit on BM, but I hope that’s settled soon so I get it by Friday as well. I just hope whatever I make the next few days will be in my account on Friday.

Today is my first day receiving payment thru Cosmo so I can't speak on what normally happens.

All I know is that BM sent my payment today and I received it in my Cosmo account today.

Tomorrow, when BM sends out my earnings from tonight, then I'll know if the pay really is as instant as it was today.

Correct, I haven't transferred anything to my bank. I'll play with that option after all these bills get paid and I can afford to wait an ambiguous amount of time for it to pop up.

Regarding that, I'll also update you guys once I attempt a transfer.

Cosmo gives you a "virtual card" when you sign up that works just like a debit card. I'm going to be using that for the remainder of the week since all of my bills (including rent) can be paid online. Next week I'll toy around with transfers.

That’s a good idea actually. Let us know how it goes paying bills with the virtual debit card. If it’s ok I’ll be doing that too just to make sure things get paid.

these last few entries about cosmo are very helpful. i'm in the US and signed up today too until BM figures out another alternative. I should have opened up a cosmo acct a long time ago. streamate uses it as a pay option so that's my main big egg so it's worth it anyways.

Yes, I also just signed up for a stripchat account last night, just in case, so I knew I could have some money deposited with their payout next Tuesday. They also offer cosmo. I'm glad to have this now, but if I had realized earlier how useful this account could be in our industry I would have signed up last year. For some reason I thought it was only available for non-US models.

We are scratching our heads a bit - "You mean we could have gone pure Cosmopay and called it a day?"

But still, we are working to restore ACH. We're about mid-way through the process and don't have a solid timeline, but things should be clearer as we get closer. Someone did meet literally all our criteria we laid out, at least on paper. They've also had some of the highest requirements for due diligence we've seen anywhere, so we're pushing through that as fast as we can.

Katy, does this mean by tomorrow we will have update possibly? Should some of us hold on from signing up and enrolling in Cosmo Pay if ultimately new ACH option will be quicker to get funds into our US banks?

I'll be honest I do not want these alternative payment processors. They always come with fees and unfortunate things have a tendency to happen. In fact there are several sites that i would like to join that I haven't because they only offered BitSafe or CosmoPay as a payment option. Hopefully ACH comes back as a option.

Same for some reason I never looked into it because I thought it wasn't for US. Applied this morning about 7am so going by when everyone else is getting their accounts hopefully I'll know in the am. I submitted my credit card bill so they may not take that but technically that is a bank so we'll see. It is nice to know there are sw friendly services like cosmo out there. The fees suck but not having the money I need sucks more lol

I have been using those alternative payment processors for 11 years now and never had issues with them. The trick is to never keep your money there, as in, the moment you get paid, withdraw everything ASAP. When I was with payoneer and they suddenly went down, I lost under $500, comparing with other cam models that made the mistake to keep their savings of 5-6 figures in there and never seen them back. And I don't know why, because epassporte went down the same way. That's why I am always paranoid and never keep big amounts, I withdraw everything immediately.
I only keep $500- $1000 ish on Cosmo because it's easy for me to pay with it at grocery or other stores, but I always withdraw the rest of the money. And the fees aren't outrageous. $3-$5 a month and a few cents when you withdraw or get your money in.
I have been using Paxum since 2018 and never had issues with them, same with Cosmo. Yes, they are a little slow when support is busy and they have a big influx of models, or the site is down or something (like when Paxum stopped working with Mastercard- which I don't get why, since Cosmo still works with them, but I hope they get back to business with them), but in general they don't cause trouble.

I want ACH most of all. I'm just happy to have cosmo as an alternative as I think it will be useful to have around. I noticed on the cosmopay limits it says only $80k per year can be deposited. This may not be an issue for most, but if it is an issue for some it's a really big problem. I think ACH is the gold standard for US models. IMHO

EDIT : Nevermind. It looks like the $80k limit is for me because my documents aren't verified yet. It says verify account to increase limits. But I still prefer the ease of ACH payments straight into my bank. I love cosmo as a backup & maybe more.

I know none of this is your fault Katy, it’s an unfortunate situation for all of us to be in so please excuse me if it seems like I’m being brash but I simply cannot handle the ominous vibes of “soon.” I understand it’s hard to get an exact timeline, but this is our livelihood we’re talking about. We’re owed more than a sentence or two barely explaining what’s going on/possible solutions going forward. You guys haven’t even sent out a mass message yet explaining that veem is no longer an option. I have models friends who had to find out through me and that just isn’t right. I’m hoping that tomorrow there will be more of an update.

If it all depended on us, we'd be able to say more. But it doesn't, and the world works at their own pace.

We do feel good that its all coming together now. This is something most businesses rarely deal with, please keep in mind, even adult ones.

If we had a 2 week pay window, nobody would even notice a pay processor was down. Nobody would be worried about payments. In the real world, the pace of events when you're dealing with other companies that partner with you works out a bit better. 2 weeks of breathing space would be great. It really does happen to most adult businesses, and far more often than it does to us - most major sites we've worked with have changed banks and payment processors at least once every 2 years since we've been doing this (sometimes more often). Just that long pay period covers up a lot of scrambling behind the scenes that models are never exposed to.

But we have a special business that requires we both talk people through things. We get a total of 2 days of down time, for money we're technically paying 2+ weeks in advance, and we do need to be ready to give some answers. Unfortunately, we don't always have them immediately. Things also suddenly don't work out, and we want to avoid over-promising and under-delivering.

I can say is that everything is moving as fast as possible. Tomorrow we absolutely will have some solid answers, and probably a timeline. It will be in days, not weeks. I can't do better than that.

Sure! I don't mind!

Cosmo fee is only $3 per month, it's not a fortune to me, haha. It's not like they take half of the income or something, it's just a few dollars here and there, but I don't have to explain shit to local banks that block my money because they consider the source suspicious or something. It's convenient to me. Same with Paxum.
I stick with boleyn because I can set a certain amount I want to have it sent, instead of waiting for multiple payments from multiple sites. For example, Iwantclips, manyvids and Clips4sale. I prefer to have a big amount sent, than waiting for 3 different payments and get charged other fees for each payment.
If I could, I'd put everything I am on trough Boleyn, so I get paid one big amount at once, haha.
Another reason is that they filter scammers for me. For example, if I get a big tip from a member, they hold the payment until they check out if the member is legit and that way I avoid a chargeback.
They also have priority when it comes about solving issues on sites. They were really helpful when the content sites introduced the whole compliance thing. I got everything solved quick, because I was under their studio (so, probably trustworthy), while some other creators were struggling with long waiting times to get trough the whole verification process.
Also, I started with boleynmodels back in 2014, when i needed to get a new SM account ASAP and they helped me instantly. I was also on Ifriends and the payments were cumulative. When Ifriends closed without a notice, in 2018, they covered my money lost. It wasn't a big amount (about $300 I think), but I appreciated a lot.

So I sticked with them because they are serious with the money, so that 5% is a convenient trade for me. I now realize it's been 8 years, so yeah... I am loyal to professionals, haha.

Every good service, in general, has a fee and I am always willing to pay for it, if it makes my life easier.
And speaking of "not needing daily pay", I had times in the past when I actually needed it, so... it's good to have it there, when you never know what tomorow brings!

Is it safe to switch back to ACH or is Cosmo our only real option right now?

If you switch back to ACH, we'll be able to on board people into any new system or solution we get more easily. People that we owe money to and have ACH selected already will get priority when loading any new system. Keep in mind that it's not ready yet or finalized, but most of the work has been done today to get it prepared. We still need a final approval for our business model (which should be just a formality at this point) and an account set up to load funds to pay out.

Bitsafe was finalized this morning, but funds have yet to be loaded there. We don't seem to have much interest in it from models at the moment as Cosmo does pretty much the same exact thing. It is good for us as a bank alternative as it ensures we'll never be locked out of our funds if the US banking system gets really crazy - indirectly it gives a lot more security for models working with us.

For Cosmo, I've gotten a lot more funds scheduled already to go there so we can handle any big influx of people using it.

That's the situation. You're free to decide or switch at any point.

The cosmofee is $3 every time you receive money though?
And $5 to send money to your bank,
$3.15 to withdraw cash etc.
I get what you are saying but the cosmo fees add up, if you get paid daily and move money more often than a few times per month.

That's why I try to gather a bigger amount, than getting daily pay.
For example, it's pointless to me to have $100 sent daily, when I can have $500-$1000 sent weekly. The amount is also more consistent and it helps me keep a track of my earnings, save something etc. Aaaaand, save the useless fees ;D;D;D

All services we work with, until further notice, are "adult friendly". You can be completely honest with what you do on that end.

Note that if/when you transfer money to your bank, account names from the originator may show up on the transaction. Usually this isn't a big deal, but if you use your cam name or email address on these accounts, you may see them on your bank transaction sheet.

Ok. So I signed up with CosmoPay, but I used the email address I used for Veem. As in a vanilla email address with my real name and has no connection to my SW accounts at all. That would be the name that would come up in my bank statements correct? I shouldn’t be worried?

Guys , there's a way that you can access your money with Cosmopay before the account gets validated (which would take 2-3 more days)

My account was approved yesterday and i've just recieved my money from boleyn an hour ago. The KYC validation pop up window you saw when you logged in is just something they need to validate to be able to give you access to over $2,500 daily but you can spend anything you have right now! I transferred the money over from my secondary balance to my virtual card and just sent an amazon e gift card to myself as a test and that came right through. If you need to pay your bills right now just do this and type in your card info and it works the same as any other debit card! I wouldn't recommend transferring the money over to the bank account option right now if its an emeregency situation.

Thank you so much for this info! I know someone else got approved on Cosmo as well and said they were going to use the virtual debit card to pay bills for awhile before making any bank transfers. So good to get confirmation that using the virtual card does indeed work!

How long did it take for you to get funds in your Cosmo account? Is the cutoff time still around 11 am? Was it instant like Veem or did it take 24 hours?

Cosmo transfers are more or less instant as with any e-wallet loading.

Their ACH bank transfer option will likely be quite slow, but their virtual cards do work reliably and fast.

There is a run on the funds there at the moment, but a wire is incoming and websites are scheduled to load it more to handle the influx. We don't know if it will be enough as normally we rely on stats to balance our funding, and this whole thing threw everything out of whack. If it comes to it, we may need to impose caps on daily payments there. I'm just putting this out there so there's no surprises, but so far so good.

You’re welcome. Yes I and others got our applications approved in 24 hours. It seems they’re doing things pretty quickly. Make sure to check your spam email periodically as well. I got one email yesterday evening telling me that my application was approved, but then I got another one in my spam email that I only saw today regarding that and activating my account. Once I got approved yesterday, I immediately uploaded the other documents they needed to make sure I can start getting payments. I’m hoping by this evening it’ll be approved. Or if anything by tomorrow evening.

Good to know. Thank you for the updates, Katy. I was supposed to receive a payment from Veem on Monday, but I haven’t seen that amount credited on my BM dashboard yet. I just see a bonus pending. I asked about this in my support ticket, so I’m just wondering when will I see those funds on my dashboard unless it was a mistake?

Im not sure of the cutoff time but i checked my cosmo account around 9:30am PST. The funds in my cosmo account arrived instantly. After Boleyn sends it to us, it's placed under the Secondary Balance, and from there i clicked on transfer funds > transfer funds to card

Thank you for the step by step guide. Good to know once I get funds in the account. I think the cut off time for me was around 11 AM or 11:30 AM. I’m on the East Coast though. I guess I’ll just keep using that as a reference for now. I remember getting a notification that cut off time would be around 11 AM to 12 PM instead of 3 PM like it used to be.

Still waiting on Cosmo....applied yesterday morning about 7am. Would like to use that over everything else but I may look into Bitsafe as a means to at least be able to transfer funds to my bank but that would still have me waiting days! Hopefully Cosmo comes through for everyone
