So is this site worth is? and how does marketing work? Do they help direct people to you? Or how does that work?

With any endeavor of a solo site or clip store you have to be the biggest generator of traffic for it to have any kind of success. You need good to great content & the ability to continuously update & do lots of marketing to make money at it.

I love MC but you have to put in all the hard work & toil to make a site a success & income. Even if you do get a good affiliate you are going to have to work hard & consistantly to provide promo material for them and have a site with plenty of content on it for them to promote.

I tell everyone you need to start off with 20 videos & pic sets and then update often most guys dont join a site until it has at least 100 scenes on it and a year old. That is just how it works in this biz, you have to be in it for the long haul. I focus on rebills, all the lovely rebills.

ModelCentro is Coming to Venus Berlin!

46170

We're headed to Venus Berlin, the biggest German trade fair for Internet, Multimedia & Adult Entertainment. The show is opening its doors for the 20th time and we're excited to participate!

Attendees can find the ModelCentro booth in Hall 20/ Booth No. 10, where we will have giveaways, 13 models signing autographs, and extensive info about our platform and affiliate program, MCProfits. The ModelCentro staff can also be found at the Anniversary Party on Friday, October 14th in the PURO and the Official Netstars Party on Saturday, October 15th at Adagio Club.

We will present the ModelCentro product for the first time to the German model market live. Within the last few years, German Livecam and Video models developed themselves very successfully on adult portals and communities, but it’s always important to push your own brand as much as you can whether you are a livecam or a video model. The key is to run your own site, and while it doesn't sound easy, MC is here to help!

To schedule a meeting with our team, please go to: http://modelcentro.com/meet/venus

Has anyone set up a studio with model centro and if so what are the differences between that and a single model only site? Been doing a lot of thinking today about things, I know I must go steady!

I've been with Model Centro for almost two years and passively have banked about 7k with them.

I have to express this because it's an ultimate deal breaker:

Model Centro has an extremely unorganized Accounting department. They are currently not paying me out.

I've submitted my w9 information about 4 times in the past year. All the information is correct, I've received payments through these details, but it never fails that they'll hold onto my funds out of the blue for some mysterious "Accounting Dept issue". I've provided screenshots, communicated clearly and professionally, and yet Accounting never ever reaches out to me directly. I speak to some really helpful associates, but it's really generic and not super helpful when they are dealing with my money.

If a model has done everything in her power to communicate, provide documents, resubmit the same information a handful of times, and not a single member from the "accounting department" will actually reach out to me...

This is a deal breaker for me and Model Centro.

I'm sorry you guys, but this isn't acceptable. I remember when Henry Mccoy was managing my account this year, and I personally spoke to him and submitted my W9 with confirmation it was accepted.

Now, 6 months later I'm getting the run around and no communication from the actual Accounting deptartment.

I get really generic responses such as "If they get around to it they'll pay you out tomorrow."

That isn't okay when I've been due for a payout for the last 2 (maybe more) weeks.

Fun fact: they do not allow pee in any capacity (pee pun intended). But for real, unlike almost every other clip site they dont allow urine & it kind of blows my mind. You can squirt until the cows come home though. /:O

Update: After I posted here, my payout has been pushed through by their Accounting Dept.

Models be very careful with MC.

Friendly customer service. But questionable business practices behind the scenes. Withholding payments and having to resubmit information 3-4 times within 6 months is really unorganized. It feels like some of their original staff isn't there anymore. I remember a gentleman by the name henry calling me from an. NYC number to handle my financials and I liked that. Now he is no where to be seen and you can only type to a rep in the Netherlands.

I'm surprised to hear this about MC, out of all the payment processing sites, I still think MC is the best one for your own domain for no upfront investment if you don't want to deal with your own payment processor, affiliate programs, hiring of a web designer and partnerships. It's all done for you. They have the easiest WYSIWG interface, fast video servers that are reliable and the most efficient uploading process I've ever seen, I think it's better than C4S and MV. The templates are so beautiful and you can have gorgeous, professional site up and running in a couple of hours. Their blogging software is also top notch. My only wish is for store capability and then they will pretty much be perfect.

The competitors all have deal breaking issues for me, CamModelStore has a terrible rep, an interface from the 90's and slow servers that make it near unusable, Who'sOnlineXXX was promising but they turned into a whitelabel and you couldn't really brand it as your own site, we all know MySecretPayment is a total sham. LCMS would be the next best bet but it is more a Skype listing site however, the owner will customize for you and you can use redirects to make it more like your own domain. The other is IndieBill. The only reason I'm not with IndieBill is the fact that I would have to rely on them to update my site and since I make a lot of changes on the fly, it wouldn't be fair to them to cater to my beck and call all the time. IndieBill does have the best payout, but they don't have affiliate programs or partnerships yet.

Both IndieBill and ModelCentro are endorsed by BoleynModels so I feel safe in recommending both.

Im actually surprised that someone had this sort of experience with MC? It almost sounds like its a different company all together.

11-22-2016, 02:23 PM
I'm surprised as well. And trust me, I've been with them for two years. I would not have said anything but after the run around about my payout I figured it was time to inform other models about my experience.

I have no issues with the creative aspect of their site and think the same as hyori. It's really easy to dive in and get started with an insanely professional website.

But I hope they can fix their accounting issues because it's a huge deal breaker for me. I shouldn't have to deal with submitting the same W9 every couple of months and have my payments withheld.

Model Centro, Adult Centro, Adult centro channels, Model Centro Profits in the past few years this company has grown & been innovating in the adult industry. They are one of the only ones to treat us like partners & not as disposable rip them off & fuck them over webmaster as this industry has a huge history of many ripped off performers.

Are there hiccups? yes
Are there a few who wont be happy? yes
Sorry that you are having issues.

Now, they do offer individual video sales added to a mc site for a few select stars like Tanya Tate and Tarantinoxxx.com for his. It isn't for everyone, but apparently can be done.

I wanna get this going, I have endless content for about a year worth of weekly updates. I just can't seem to figure out how to set up.
Aiming for one of those "R rated frontpage, xxx rated for members" type of setups. But I honestly don't even know a step-1.

Hi there xCamLovex,
I wanted to take a minute to explain why we ask models to confirm their payout information a few times and what the workflow is.
Normally, if a model has confirmed payment details in her admin panel, we won’t contact her regarding this matter more than once in three months. In case a model doesn’t have this information confirmed, she will get one notification a week before her payout is generated and if not confirmed - two more similar notifications after the payout is generated.
This workflow has been implemented in order to avoid mistakes with sending payouts as sometimes models change banks, make new accounts with Payoneer or Paxum or move to other places and forget to update information in their ModelCentro admin panels.

Hey everyone! Missed everyone on this board so much!
Slowly but surely making my way out of maternity leave, so hopefully will be around more.

I wanted to take a moment to reply to these messages:
"Sam: Now, they do offer individual video sales added to a mc site for a few select stars like Tanya Tate and Tarantinoxxx.com for his. It isn't for everyone, but apparently can be done.
Erika: This is what I do not like "

The store links on these sites aren't part of the MC platform - they're links out to other pages, outside of our platform. That kind of links can be added pretty easily to your site, except that for affiliates they might be seen as traffic leaks and therefore they might not want to promote your sites. The store function really is almost ready, so might be worth waiting just a bit for it. In fact, from the testing I've seen, it's basically ready. The only thing stopping it is the completion of "free members" feature that will let people subscribe for free and then purchase content (and live shows) when they want, as opposed to buying a membership first. These members won't get access to messaging or full content as paid members would, but they'll have their login and password and from making that signup will be able to make purchases, which is how the store will be set up. Once this one feature is ready, both of the features will be released together.

Hope all is well with the SW-forum-dwellers! I'm very glad to be coming back to work :)

I apologize in advance if this has been mentioned before. I did an advanced search, but couldn't seem to find the answer I was looking for. I'm having a hell of a time trying to upload my verification photos to ModelCentro. I've tried different browsers, different computers, different cameras, but always get a blank screen. Already contacted support, but they didn't have an answer for me either, just told me to try a different PC/browser. Would any of you happen to know what I'm doing wrong or if there is a better way to upload? Many thanks.

On the previous page of this thread several people said they also had issues with verification. I did as well but it was mostly about my info not being clear enough to verify. They never really explained what the issue was I dont think? Maybe someone will come along and give you an answer or use the live chat in the bottom righthand corner of your dashboard.

Good day everyone! Thanks for bringing this up, should have addressed it a while back.
There are a number of things that might cause trouble with uploading photos into the ID verification section, so each case needs to be looked at separately. However, let me give you a bit more info on this:
The verification upload is a flash-powered pop up that opens your camera and lets you take a picture in real time to upload images in Face Photo and Face+ID photo. This flash app tries to access your video camera, which is part of an issue since that isn't something your browser likes, for security reasons. Often times it shows a small "allow camera" button somewhere, but it's so small that you don't even notice it. Sometimes your browser won't show anything at all and leave you wondering what's wrong with it.
Flash pop ups are often used for ads, and any sort of pop up blocker or adblock program will probably block that as well. Some browser versions won't read flash - another common reason for the malfunction. Once the camera pop up loads (sometimes it takes a bit of time), it will also give you an option to upload an image from your computer, which may be preferable since you can then upload a higher-resolution image than what your built-in camera might take, where text on the ID will be legible.
The reason why your application for approval might be turned down (the most common reason) is illegible letters on the ID in the face+ID picture. The requirements are that they are readable and clear, which is hard to do with a built-in camera. You might want to have the face+ID image taken by your phone camera (the back cam is better usually for resolution, not the selfie one).
Hope this helps for those who want to send in their application and have had trouble with it. As I said though - this is very general, each case might be different, so it won't apply to everyone.
The support team will gladly upload these for you if you have any trouble, so you can just send the images via live help on the website if there is any issue.

Thanks for the info, Natalie. I sent my verification photos to support, as I still couldn't properly upload a photo either by taking a snapshot or computer upload. I did see the camera icon pop up, but it just wouldn't take (I'm probably doing it wrong!). Thanks again!

Hi guys,

apologies if if this has been asked before but I have searched everything with modelcentro in and can't find anything on it. I'm about to sign up and link my streamate account but I'm aware that on MC members can see my streamed shows at no extra cost so my question is what membership fees should I charge?
A ballpark figure would be great. I work on streamate 5 days a week normally 8 hours a day so that's quite a few "free" shoes for members. I mean if a chap came on once a day instead of streamate he'd save himself anywhere up from $20 a day. However charging a monthly fee of $400+ a month seemed excessive lol. Perhaps it's better not to add streamate.
So if I'm adding streamate and free shows what should I charge? $100 $200 more a months etc
If no stream what do girls charge I was thinking $25 a Month with free goodies weekly etc or if this too high? Thanks in advance.

You sure you want to go with them? It's pretty expensive in terms of % they take. I use onlyfans for my fanclub as they only take 15%, then i have a wordpress website (costs me nothing but hosting) which links to indibill for my store page to sell other items (15%). For reference though I charge 19.99 per month on onlyfans but they do not get a lot of interaction.

JaneBurgess
02-22-2017, 12:15 PM
I charge 24.95 for my website membership, monthly. Model Centro has been great to work with and only members of your site would see the member shows for free via SM. Putting your link on there doesnt make your shows free for anyone on MC.

SoloDesire
02-22-2017, 12:21 PM
You don't have to give any free shows! I think you're confused on how it works. The only way my ModelCentro site members can see my shows for free is if I enable "External Show" on Streamate while I'm live (which keeps me in "private chat" the entire time it's enabled). And Gold Shows give you the option to make them free for site members, so you can pick and choose which shows they can view.
And I charge $19.99/month just for access to my site...discounts if they buy multiple months at a time...but I NEVER give them free shows lol.

malika29
02-22-2017, 12:28 PM
i charge from $50 per month but i dont do the free shows. Instead I do a more classic style membership and do the live shows per minute. I sell the live shows as a better price option then SM so if you can get as many SM members across to MC via social media and then split cam the two sites. Hope that makes a bit of sense. some may not like my style here with converting SM members but at the end of the day this is our business so poach as you please from box office sites i say.

As Susie has also said, the fees are pretty high so i would calculate what you want to earn then add the percentage and that should be your price. Please dont sell yourself short as i have seen way too many a cam model on there do so and they must get cents after the deductions and considering what the add for content are working way too hard and not smart.

Aww thanks guys. perfect I Must have read an old thread as I do have the external show button on my streamate so was worried they'd all have a field day on MC. I just like the less fuss easy to use approach and the app. I signed up to their snapcentral as well so will see how that goes. I won't sell myself short as I don't mind having quality over quantity as I make my target through streamate anyway so this and snapchat are just bonus things and a bit of fun lol.

If you are splitting sites and turn External Show on bcs you have a private somewhere else, yes, your MC Members can freely see your feed. But if you're exclusive on SM, then you're safe.

I agree with this post. I'm finally going to make my own site as a holding place for all my sites. I use onlyfans for my fanclub as they only take 15%, then i have a wordpress website (costs me nothing but hosting) which links to indibill for my store page to sell other items (15%). For reference though I charge 19.99 per month on onlyfans but they do not get a lot of interaction.

I agree with this post. I'm finally going to make my own site as a holding place for all my sites. I'm a website designer and modelcentro is a good option if you don't know jack about the web but the % is just to high for me since I'm already paying BoleynModels an extra 5%. Indiebill will let me sell any content or membership plan I create. I can link to SM still for external shows if I want, etc. It's a bit more self reliant but I'm not paying out anymore fees. Keeping my $$$!! I'm going to check out onlyfan..

It's definitely your choice to go on to making your own website. Especially, if you don't need the features that MC already has - locked content functionality, private liveshows with PPM, messaging, content encoding etc. You also get to worry about your site's user support, hosting, security etc, but if you're ready for all the work - the choice is yours. I think MC takes a very honest percentage for the features and services offered, but if you'd rather do it yourself - I very much respect that.
Hope it works out for you and if you get the time come share your experience here on the board! Best of luck!
