Is the join my site link only visible on SM accounts when the model is logged in? I have yet to see a link going to a membership site.
Mine is there when I'm logged in and when I'm logged out. I've checked several times while logged in to my customer account.

ModelCentro, on the other hand, looks increasingly like a good idea for running a fan club. Like Susie, I'm not keen on giving members lots of clips for a monthly price, but having an option of running scheduled fan-only shows is quite attractive. Thank you for answering questions, Natalie. :)
Thank you for asking them!
Any chance in the future that MC will partner up with token sites like MFC or CB? OR...give us the ability to choose which livestream to concurrently broadcast to MC? My brain is on overdrive right now. The possibilities!
We are looking to partner with all sites that models who use MC work with just like we did with SM, but it takes 2 sides to make a deal and many of them are not ready to put in the development and/or not ready to start such cooperation.

Should be on your profile at all times according to the latest info. However, after you file to connect, it might take up to 3 days, that's provided the site has at least 10 pieces of content - photosets or videos. The latter is required in order to "turn on" promotion by SM.

Thank you for clearing that up Natalie, i was indeed looking at the info from a few pages back. I am unsure of the paysite model tbh, i'd be too scared of guys simply signing up for a month, downloading all my vids and pics, charging back, then selling them on! I love the ease of use though and the opportunity to have a nice looking site without hours of coding (something i am struggling with right now..), however i really want the freedom to have banners, links, multiple pages etc wherever i like. Is this a possibility or is MC really just for girls who want a simple paysite? :-/ Thanks for your patience x
With MC you can turn off the ability for members to download the videos. I did with mine, only got one major compliant from a regular, but not enough to make him cancel when I explained that I have many trial memberships & afraid of them downloading everything to put up on tubesites for free. He understood. :)
It can be as simple a performers just wanting a pay site. It also be a way to grow your brand, to connect your SM, twitter, tumblr & such too. Mc is working hard to be all we who want to be more grow. Which is what I love about this company.
Affiliates love MC. More & more are coming aboard to promote & make money with performers & MC. I see that side growing over time, but for now you has to do 99% of the marketing yourself.
As far as SM goes, we all can see why they have those rules in place. They spend a lot of money to keep traffic going & us all making money. I don't see it as an employee/boss situation at all. Use a MC site to steal customers off of SM so you can skype with them is STEALING! plain and simple, SM has every right to protect their profits and business. If a guy finds you on his own, that is one thing. Hence why other cam companies might be cautious about partnering up with MC in the future, if we just use them to steal customers from them.
I work hard on marketing. I know what it takes to get good customers & keep them as a cam girl & as a solo site girl. Cam companies are p rotecting their bottom line. Since SM has the extra 40% to you if they sign up through your cammodel link & the 20% if they spend on other performers, I don't see any reason to become independent when it comes to camming. 75% if you find new customers with cammodel link is INCREDIBLE! They reward us for doing our own marketing & sales. That is a partnership between SM & performers NOT a boss/employee one.
I signed up to MC on Halloween last year, since then I've only had 1 chargeback. I make sure my site has lots of updates, fresh new content. Currently I have 257 videos up for them. Rebills is what I'm building. Rebills the BOMB! I don't woare rry about chargebacks, even with my old site it was a rarity.
Now, don't do it if you don't have the time to create, edit & update pics/videos on a regular basis. Don't do it if you can't spend 20 hours a week or more on marketing aka posting on twitter, instagram & tumblr. It is a commitment, drive, ambition to become a success at having a pay site. You have to be constantly in creative mode, to capture & keep customers, which I thrive upon.
For those who are thinking about it, but don't know. Do c4s & be dedicated enough to update with one video per day for 6 months & market the hell out of it. Those same videos can be used to start your MC site if you find it fun & able to put in the time & work on content & marketing. Having a pay site isn't for everyone, which is no shade upon anyone. Knowing yourself, your talents and where to focus your energy to where it benefits you the most is important in life. :)
After years of dealing with a difficult webmaster who took year to implement anything I wanted on my own site & was ripping me off. After years of stories of sooooo many performers famous, porn stars, cam girls & unknowns having the same experience as I did with my old webmaster. MC is refreshing, innovative & the FUTURE of this industry. I am totally in for the long haul & much success!
Smooches,
Sam

I signed up with MC and still have not started promoting it yet. Its a little rough around the edges. I have a streamate account but Im just not a big fan of SM. The most attractive part of MC is the weekly shows for members. Ive been so busy on so many different things. I just need to really dedicate some time to mapping it out. I want to add a favicon on my main site for the .xxx domain I guess I could add that to my SM page?
PhatGirlDynomite!!!

Im still confused by this. You can promote the membership site as long as you don't mention SkypePrivate or Skype shows? But when they click on the link they will see those options. Isn't that a traffic leak?
@hyori, from what I heard you can promote only the upsell "join my site" link on your SM profile, not the site itself. Otherwise you might have issues with them, just a heads up :)

Thank you Natalie. Im gonna put some effort into this today. Honestly Fridays suck for me on camsites. I will contact support and ask about it. I was hoping to have something added to my .com domain that would link traffic to the .xxx domain that houses the membership. And vice versa. We will see. Thank you

thanks Sam (again!) :D I wasn't sure of the etiquette re putting up videos already sold elsewhere into a paysite - isn't it normally all exclusive, fresh stuff?

Look at the porn industry model: They have a pay site, then also have DVDs, Broadcasting and on VOD sites like AEBN, Hotmovies, adultdvdempire and such. All of it being the same content, we all need to think bigger, more distribution for our content. :)
Some buyers prefer DVD, some a pay site with all the content & possible cam shows for members, a few like to pay per minute like Hotmovies or the whole dvd via online, or per a single scene like C4s.
They don't make content exclusive no matter how it is delivered to the buyer, just don't chose a different title, pic of scene & description for the same video. So they know no matter where they buy it, it is the same video. Name of the game is to make as much revenue off of each video or DVD as you can. Now all the sites other than MC & C4s require content to be in DVD format with a front & back cover, description, title & at least 5 scenes in it.
That is how the big porn companies do it, my next step in this biz. :)

I honestly can't believe that there are still men who prefer actual DVD's. Why? Then again, I suppose it is like console games where you buy the actual game in a disk as opposed to downloading it to your console. But then there is the whole issue of storage and how would they explain the DVD porn stash to people who discover it? Then thee is the shipping, the environmental costs etc. Just seems so inefficient and a bit wasteful. Other than that, I really need to step up my content creation!

I love using MC, They are absolutely amazing in virtually everything EXCEPT I cannot wait until they roll out a feature that displays earnings on the dashboard. It is extremely frustrating having to go into transactions list, try to figure out what you have already been paid for and haven't, do the math, figure out whether or not you had a check sent to you the previous week or not etc. Add on top of the fact that if you get a chargeback (like I woke up to this morning) of something that was over a month and a half ago, I have to re-figure everything out.... I want to be able to plan my money and know what I'm getting. I want to look at the transactions list and be able to EASILY see and differentiate between the transactions that I have already been paid for, and the ones that are going to be on future checks. It also seems to take a really long time for my checks to arrive which makes it even more difficult. My goal is to make MC my main earning site, however I don't feel confident doing that when I don't even know how much money I'm going to receive, or when the checks are going to get here.
I understand that it's possible to go into the list, do the math, and figure everything out but it is a huge inconvenience and takes a lot of time. Plus, because checks take so long to get to me- I never know if I've hit the minimum payout the week before so I don't know when to start counting from.
I love ModelCentro, I really do. I praise them and their great team. Best support I've experienced and I know that they are a new site and working on new features consistently, and they LISTEN to us. I also know they are working on rolling the payout feature on the dash and Natalie said she is pushing the issue. I hope the issue gets pushed to the front of the line and is the next thing they roll out because personally, I feel like it is a very important feature to have.
Anyway, this is one of those times I'm super grateful for SW because I just needed to vent my growing frustration because right now it is making me want to pull my hair out.

When it comes to DVDs you have to consider the 40 yrs plus crowd. They like having an actual product in their hand, I am the same way with CDs when it comes to my music. We are a generation before computers & even after computers that can break down & lose EVERYTHING in the past because the Cloud is a new thing that quite frankly most of us just don't trust.
If you truly want to keep your porn secret, not having it on a computer where it can be hacked or accidently found by your kids or wife. Read an article last week on a tech site how clouds, free sex tube sites are keeping data on porn surfers viewing & hackers can out these guys & what they prefer to watch all over their social media accounts. Prime EXAMPLE: SONY emails being hacked. Lots of stuff written about major players in the movie biz out there for the world.
We see girls come to this site who want to make money but remain unknown. Well, if a man of any standing or power can be easily destroyed by what he watches in porn too. LOL Finally the shoe on the other foot. I love it. There are no more secrets in the world as we all have devices easily hacked into. DVDs, a locked box, a tv & dvd player ALL NOT hooked up to online are the only way for them to keep their dirty little secrets. :)

When asked why my profile had not been linked this is the response from SM
You are not allowed to lead members off of the website at any time or advertise for any other page.
Please go to the Support section of your account and go to the Tips and Tutorials page. In the "Chat Tips" area click on "Follow the rules, it's for your own good". Now click the Code of Conduct link. Let us know if you have any questions.
My first email was very detailed. I mentioned the agreement and everything. I figured this way whomever received my email would do their homework before responding. Apparently not. Soooo I had to create a thesis in my response and include

However, you still take your commission from our earnings, and you are not the highest paying indy site out there. 04-29-2015, 06:09 PM
Actually, CamGirlClubs does not own or sell your content. It is in our agreement. We are not pimps. Pimps don't give the girls their customers' personal information. Here's what we offer:
Taken from my site:
"...If you're completely independent, as some of these 'indie sites' claim, then you are able to see all details related to your transactions and not just some correspondence number, along with site-related information on your customer but his actual personal details. Billing details, e-mail address, real name, etc. No payment processor will allow you to see the customer's full credit card number and expiry date but all other information should be available to you on a page accessible at any time, while you're logged into your account. You will have his contact information and with that, the ability to dispute a chargeback should such an issue arise. Girls have been fooled into thinking they are performing independently when in actuality, the site is run by an industry 'professional' with the sole purpose of obtaining your content and stealing your customers. Know what to watch out for. They are slimy.".
I guess there is a lot of gray area and we could argue 'tomato' 'tomahto' but the fact of the matter is, we want to see girls succeed and make money. Then, we make money. If they don't make money, we don;t make money. No sites can make that claim with a straight face because content is all they're after. I can get into who owns what but figure it out for yourself. Read your contracts and agreements and compare to ours. The proof's in the puddin', as they say.

Omg I'm so happy to see she finally got banned!! I was so sick of having to see her stupid shit.
she's only received a ban based on total non-expired infractions, this isn't a perma ban.
as the individual who has been cleaning up her spam and bile for the past two days (to note for the sake of propriety this infraction came after a warning for multiple violations in a 24 hour period yesterday), I would like to point out that Amanda's current sw status is solely based upon behavior. I know this will end up all over her twitter as it always does as me being a pimp that silences dissent but here I'd like to echo Mz Dynomite's sentiment above. It isn't difficult to critique with composure, having a value system doesn't absolve anyone of the responsibility to behave maturely. Simply put, it's not okay to spam and attack.
sw is about dialogue, info exchange and support. bad sites get torn apart as they should be, and all sites deserve scrutiny. peeps who don't wish to engage with the community belong in marketplace. I know first hand how immensely beneficial that critique can be though. My own site is far stronger because of it. sw as a collective is fucking genius; casting off constructive criticism as attack means that one misses out on so much
since I know Amanda will be reading this and the MC thread got jacked I'd like to say this; MC is ahead of the tide. you state that you want fair contracts for models: for membership sites MC is by far the best option out there. Props to them for recognizing that the tide is turning in favor of model-run enterprises. You advocate a strategy that doesn't claim ownership of model name and content, that provides full booking details, yet you shit all over the sites that provide what you recommend. I run a successful site that strives to provide what indy chicas need according to what you deem important and according to your PMs and social media commentary I'm a cam site front. my site provides everything you advocate and our values are strikingly similar yet I'm somehow the enemy (webpower/sm/ifriends according to your latest PM). I worked for six years to build my business to a place that serves the needs of both myself and my peers (as they define their goals and needs) and yet you dismiss it out of hand. I don't know how to solve your suspicion of that. I'm equally baffled by how you chose MC as a target of your ire.
there are a ton of us who are sick of bullshit cam site rules and who have taken -or are in the process of taking- their careers into their own hands. not everyone is a html/css/php wizard though. not everyone wants to spend 1k per year just for the privilege of accepting credit cards at 85%.
services such as MC can provide a value to those who would find cause to use them, but if you have a critique in regard to the specific behaviors of a site/service why not actually participate in this space and talk about it? calling peeps pimps is easy, engaging in a multi-directional discussion as to what you offer and participating in a cogent discussion regarding cam chica strategies takes a bit more effort. when you come back the choice is yours as to how you'd like to proceed.
if you decide to discuss your site in cc let me know and I'll be happy to approve the thread.
this threadjack is over though

C4S is awesome. You get feedback immediately in what works & what doesn't by individual sales. Where as with a solo girl site if you choose to go with MC it takes time to build sales, but then rebills build into a lovely income.
I always advise performers to do c4s for 6 months, build up that content. Update it daily. Get into that habit of filming, editing, uploading & marketing at C4S. To see if they can make that long term kind of commitment. There are many other sites you can put up that same content for extra money like mypornprofile, extralunchmoney, freeones. manyvids, customs4you & such.
Then turn after 6 months upload all that content onto MC & have it all in one place for your fans to become members & get it all instead of being each video individually. Building a site is a long term solution to steady income that grows over time. MC has an incredible platform that doesnt cost the performer any money other than the 11% for billing & 25% for them. For that money you get TEAM, not an individual webmaster but a TEAM!
Many porn stars are unsatisfied or have been ripped off by webmasters & when they ask me who I went with, I tell them MC with no hesitation. In the end, it is all a leap of faith. But I have never seen Mc go after performers who didn't ever sign up or get their site up & running. I have signed up at least 12 people & only 2 have gone live. It is a percentages biz.
Most expect to much out of a webmaster too, as in traffic. Traffic is totally upon you to get. If you are not willing to put in the hours each week on social media to build traffic then I recommend you don't do it.
As for them STEALing your traffic, that is a hoot. You still own your name, your site, your content NOT to mention all your social media accounts. We each have the responsibility to read over each contract & negotiate the terms as we see fit. If you don't like the terms of a cam contract then renegotiate it, remember you need to be a top cam girl with lots of social media traffic to do so. But it can be done.
It takes hard work, sticking with it, creativity, networking, team work, learning new skills. I know coming from camming where you log on & make money is a different thing. You have to create & hope it makes money with lots of online marketing on your part. Keep in mind, that content can be making you money 24/7 for year to come. It isn't instant gratification of money made today & paid out the next week.
Nor do you have to go with a platform like MC, you can totally build it all on your own. Personally, I don't have time to do it all. The percentage MC takes is worth it to me. Knowing your strengths & weaknesses & how to work around them is the smartest thing in biz. I already spend 12 to 14 hours on a computer today, learning html, css & all that would be hours more a day for me.

Omgawd I need that LOL as I was just about to call her out
Shout out to MODELCENTRO
Fans know to come to me for downloads, always have known.
I do not allow downloads bc the first week i did, I found my shit on tube sites
Im not use to other people handling people handling business for me, so TY for pointing out to him there are uploads available. Just request them
I enjoy clips4sale--- sell individual clips
I enjoy Model centro --- sell monthly and give them 25% off cam shows
Since the back door is still open on streamate I no longer offer gold shows for members. 25% is a huge chunk of private and 3-5 for a live show is not bad, esp when I am recording it and going to pace it on the site
I had a member saying "OMG I CAN REALLY SEE YOU" so wtf that was about? idk but when i stopped offering free I was selling gold shows again
I have tried member shows but none of my guys are not online or they want a fetish show

Can I ask how many memberships you girls who do not have a porn background or cam on mfc sell per month on average? Sorry if that's too personal a question, you can pm me if you prefer.

I've actually had one guy sign up and another one tried to. I'm a new cam girl. I have no kind of fan base so I was actually very surprised. I haven't had it connected to SM btw

I can't quite put it the right way, words escape me. LOL Let me try!
You need more data than that to have a true measure.
As in How many scenes are already up on a site & how often is it updated. A site with less than 20 videos & a few pic sets that is updated maybe 3 to 4 times a month will differ from another that has tons of content & updated often.
The quality of content....
The type of content....
The variety of content....
How popular the model is on any given cam site & how often she promotes her own site on there.. A top ten gal on MFC has way more traffic in her room over a gal on SM by the numbers.
Depends on the performer looks,
Hardcore generally sells better than solo on a pay site but there is the exceptions to the rule like doms & glamour girls who do their own spin on it.
Social media PLAYs a major factor: a performer with 500,000 to a million twitter & instagram followers will have better than someone who has 100,000 or less & they will do better than someone with 10,000 or less.
Whether or not you can get a powerhouse of an affiliate to promote you like crazy.
To me those factors come into play no matter if someone is a porn star or not. Cause I know plenty of famous porn stars with shitty pay sites & make very little money off of them.
What determines success is YOU! Your creativity, hardwork & marketing. Plus how do you measure success? Is it a few hundred a week or $10,000 a month?
You have to figure out if the time & effort will be worth it for you. It is hard to measure your success against another in a different niche.

I just recently had my modelcentro linked with my SM account. About a week? It was set up for the wrong amount, but just last night it was adjusted. So going forward I hope to get sign ups through Sm. I am not into porn. I'm only posting because I'm still trying to figure out what it is that I want to do with this site.
So far since having this linked to my SM account I haven't had any sign ups from sm...but I've had 300 plus hits to my .com domain. That's google juice right there. Every time someone searches for you that places more importance on your webpages. My .com domain is mostly Skype shows and my clips4sale. On my .com I have a floating button that advertises my .xxx membership site on the ModelCentro platform. I've only started promoting it for the last two weeks and I have 4 sign ups thus far. Those guys came from my c4s,twitter and fetish forum activity..possibly? None of them came from the link on my SM account. The SM link doesn't show the guy the actually site. They do not use cookies to sign up and if they google you then I think SM loses out. Free chat is supposed to be the selling point and kind of with blind faith they may sign up for you Club Membership. But in the last week I've found that guys will go to google and look me up. This is why my hits have increased to my .com site. They will find my skype and so on. That's money in the bank. I understand why SM does it this way because they want to eliminate traffic leaks. But I'm not sure i's gonna work they way they want. And they take 54% as an affiliate. I've had a few guys in free chat go check out my site and then come back with comments. They just found me off site. I did nothing to influence this.
Going Forward I need to make a decision if I want to keep my MC connected to Sm or just rely on C4S any my own marketing. 300 additional hits per day is great. But not exactly conversion worthy if it's just a bunch of freeloaders hoping for freebies on a membership site. They can help elevate my status on google because of the hits or I can deselect Sm and place banners on my C4S entries. Which is gonna bring me more money in the long run? The guys from clipsites are the ones who're interested in clips and fetish type stuff. SM doesn't want me blogging about completive services AT ALL. However C4S has no issue with me advertising my new membership as long as a C4S banner is prominently displayed. So do I comply with Sm and those strict rules or disconnect and have more freedom with other companies? For me having the success that I've had with clips I think omitting SM would be beneficial. But it's only been a week. I need to play with it for a bit. That was long winded as fuck I know. But if you don't have any clips or sellers to start with creating a MC account is kind of pointless unless you want to focus more on doing your own group shows via your website. I am not in porn. But I do very well in this business. My methods may be a bit unconventional and strange but it works for me.
I now have 4 c4s stores and have used the site for 5 years.

Most of my sign ups are through Streamate. So be sure to advertise the link in your profile for them to sign up while you're on cam. The guys who are regs and guys who want videos are the easiest to get to sign up...but I've had a few that never even spent money on me on SM still sign up! It's worth it!

I know Sam, thanks. As with camming it's like how long is a peice of string - it depends on lots of things. But just as a vague idea is like to know as the only successful pay sites I've really seen before (non fetish) are porn stars/ ex stars, or have huge followings due to being on mfc etc. I'm not daft enough to think if one girl makes £££ I will too, or if one makes nothing I should give up, honest :)
