Ah, no, they really were being liked etc by my followers (of course, they could be her followers too, I didn't check). She had replied to one of MY tweets with HER advert. However, blocking her has made her replies disappear (dunno if anyone else can see them). I just thought it was rude, if she'd have asked I would have said yes, it was the fact this random stranger decided to plonk herself in my tweets like that which irritated me.

Anyway, minor drama over LOL :D

That's pretty rude for one model to do that to another model. However general posting under a viral tweet or on a celebrity twitters tweet is genius. Some people go as far as to say Check me out and my new music at lamestreet.com etc but I try to be more subtle. I'll just respond to the topic/thread and blend in. Lots of people will get curious and click on your profile to see what you're about.

Anyways when you block them it only blocks you from seeing them. They're still visible to anyone else who can see that tweet. Some unstable person tried to go ham in my mentions recently because I showed support for a company that they didn't approve of. Like really chick? I dare you to grow some balls and be happy for once.

I'm returning to MFC after a long hiatus. The site never really worked out for me, but I want to give it a second shot and do it right this time. I'm changing my stage name as well. I currently have a Twitter account with 1600 followers, but I'm not sure how many of them are paying customers. I have a feeling it's mostly guys looking for free porn. Is it worth it to keep the old account and change my name or should I open a new one? I kind of want a fresh start without past tweets that are more domme-oriented and attached to my old persona, but I also know it's going to be hard to find regulars on MFC without the new model tag and the social media presence might come in handy.

I never delete social media accounts. I keep them and change out the names from time to time but never fully delete. Those 1600 followers could become paying followers especially if you plan on increasing your engagement. Also you never really know how many are actual customers because quite often guys will follow and just lurk. Most are too shy to comment on the show you two had together or that video they just purchased. Some do, most don't. Also you can delete all of your tweets and images to start fresh. That's what I do. It helps to get the ball rolling when you do a re-launch. If they remember the older persona, so what? I don't think it's that big a deal. :)

I woke up this morning to #twitterlockout trending. Twitter did a purge on the platform that didn't include porn for a change.

I tried to find an article that had a balanced pov, but decided to go with humor instead

http://metro.co.uk/2018/02/21/twitter-just-purged-russian-bots-trump-fans-crying-followers-vanish-7329362/

Today, our thoughts and prayers are with the #MAGA brigade, as they howl in despair after half their Twitter followers vanished overnight.

The reason? Those ‘cruel leftist libs’ at Twitter just purged a load of Russian bots – leading (hilariously) to right-wing Tweeters losing their sh*t. They think it’s some kind of left-wing conspiracy, whereas in fact, Twitter just deleted a bunch of non-existent fascists controlled from St Petersburg. Not seeming to realise the irony, many are sharing their agony online with the hashtag #TwitterLockout. Try not to laugh, please, now is not the time to gloat.

Basically twitter decided to delete Russian bot accounts and possibly people who spam the app with political propaganda and fake news.

I just had a new account get locked but it only took about an hour for them to fix it. I was following people in my industry at the time & I think I may have followed some bots by accident & that's what caused it.

This is the email from them explaining how it got locked.

Hello,

Your account is now unlocked, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Twitter has automated systems that find and remove automated spam accounts and it looks like your account got caught up in one of these spam groups by mistake. This sometimes happens when an account exhibits automated behavior in violation of the Twitter Rules (https://twitter.com/rules).

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please do not respond to this email as replies will not be monitored.

Thanks,

Personally, I think this locking of accounts is like a ploy to try & get you to hand over your phone number. There was 3 attempts to try and get me to give them my number but I never gave my number. Just tell them you don't want to verify your number if you don't want to.

Twitter has now added a book mark feature where you can privately save a collection of tweets. https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/28/twitter-launches-bookmarks-a-private-way-to-save-tweets/

From the article:

Twitter users sometimes found it uncomfortable to use the Favorite button for saving tweets because of the nature of the tweet’s content.

The public nature of Favorites has caused problems for some high-profile Twitter users in the past – like when Melania Trump favorited a tweet that seems to imply she hated her husband (perhaps accidentally); or when other high-profile individuals – like Harry Styles or Ted Cruz – had favorited porn.

To use the feature, you’ll click on a new “share” icon that’s found to the right of the Favorite (heart) button. From here, you’ll have the option to share the tweet in a variety of ways – including by bookmarking it, DM’ing it, or via other methods – as had been previously available through the top-right dropdown menu.

When you want to view your saved tweets, you’ll tap your Profile icon to reveal the menu where the Bookmarks list will be found alongside other options like Twitter Lists and Moments.

Bookmarks are rolling out globally today on Twitter for iOS and Android, Twitter Lite, and

Right now it looks like its just sexworkers spamming the hell out of the timeline LOL I'm like GUYS! Who are you posting to? I only discovered it after poking around looking for more info about OnlyFans on twitter because supposedly their shutting down people who produce xxx content? But while searching I noticed alot of griping from mainstream people about the constant OnlyFans spamming. And they're right it's crap ton of it! So much that vanilla folks are cracking jokes about OF and some threatening to report people. In all of that I saw people writing about Switter. It may take some time before customers jump on board. But who knows, really?

I DO NOT mark my tweets as sensitive, but I don't post any nudity on my personal twitter accounts. Marking your account as sensitive is like placing a shadow ban on yourself. Your engagement will go down because you'll receive far less impressions. People are more likely to engage when they can see the content right away. I've managed alot of accounts and the hardest to maintain were those who had previously marked themselves as sensitive. Its difficult to explain but I believe filters these accounts out of the search automatically and even when you remove the sensitive tag, you may still experience the residual effects. So right now in 2018, you may as well go full monty.

To be quite honest I don't think it matters anymore. I mean just look at all the pinks and peens on any given page? :) As long as there isn't any nudity in your header or biopic you will be fine. But it does say no pornography in their tos, the way they enforce it is by filtering out your content.

I get a lot more engagement on twitter when I talk baseball instead of camming or clips. I'm thinking about just steering the whole account that direction and having a few non-nude sexy things every once in a while with a link to my stuff in the bio. Should I just scrap all my previous tweets, or keep them around?

I wouldnt delete my old tweets unless I wanted to quit the adult industry and start pointing those followers in a different direction. Also tweets appear on Google now so old tweets are kinda indexed and can help people find you in the search engines. Its true I make more money with less nudity and more humor etc. It shows that you're a real person.

I'm not sure if that part she highlighted is new or not? The way I read the new updates for twitter and also Instagram to mean they want to be in accordance with the General Data Protection update that's taking effect in May. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regulation

I'm not sure this is a result of FOSTA? I think this is more about what happened to Facebook and Cambridge analytica.

This comes from No. 3 under the Twitters TOS

I think if you're an escort then you may want to tighten up. There's a ton of hatred and mudslinging going on right now, even from other people in the adult industry. Unfortunately I think those will be the bulk of the people who will start reporting others. That really sucks.

If it makes you feel better and brings you peace of mind then go ahead and delete your nudes. Maybe even start a second twitter account and keep that one private after you build it up a bit. Try taking all of the nude pics from your current twitter and post them all on the new one everyday for the next month and then make it private before May 25th? Then maybe you can drop teases from time to time. I dunno, I'm thinking on the fly right now. LOL I stopped posting nudes some time ago.

I'm most definitely shadowbanned, so I did delete all my nudes and stop all auto tweets. I'm just keeping with my plan of sexy, baseball loving, not a bot human and see if my stats improve in a month.

ETA: that seems to almost immediately have popped me out of shadowban and gained me 2 followers.

I just tried to retweet boobies on one account and twitter wouldnt let me? It kept saying that the tweet was unavailable. I copied the url of the tweet and then tried to padte it into another one. I wobder if maybe that person has it set where no one can tag them? It was weird.

I've noticed that if the account is marked sensitive content, sometimes it wont retweet right. I've even had that issue retweeting my own stuff sometimes

And of course! I love studying social media, its a lot of work but pays off so well.

This has been going on for a few months now. Twitter is deleting fake and stagnant accounts. Accounts using twitter automation (https://admin.boleynmodels.com/ref?page=blog/twitter-cracks-down-on-automation/&campaign=&affToken=NTc2), troll accounts etc. If you've ever purchased followers then it will definitely be noticeable. I was managing an account that I thought had 12,000 followers and in two days it dropped to just under 3,000!!

But on the plus side the engagement level increased leading to more exposure for that account every time I tweeted. So in many ways the twitter purge can be a good thing.

Take your pick of articles from google. https://www.google.com/search?q=twitter+deletes+fake+accounts&oq=twitter+deletes&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0l3.9593j1j7&client=ms-android-metropcs-us&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Hi! This might be tacky to post on here, not sure lol. Basically, I need one tweet to be RT'd a bunch of times (there's no nudity, it's a Halloween thing). If anyone would be willing to RT it, send me a message on here and I can try to help you with your Twitter however you would like. I'll RT a bunch of your stuff or I can introduce you to some of my friends who are promoters and won't steal your stuff. I could also try to get you into one of my RT groups if you were interested in something like that. Honestly, I would help you whether you RT it or not, but it would be great if you could. Thanks!

Start a new account and make sure to do it via desktop. My advice is to never create a social media account through your phone. For instances where they try to force phone verification, try a remote number instead. Automated tweets should only be used for accounts you don't mind losing.

Also if you want to try to pull that account out of shadow ban, delete all your auto tweets and nsfw posts. Post really normal tweets about things you like (sports, hobbies, stuff on tv). That tends to fix it, plus people are more likely to interact with your posts.

Oh geez, sorry I never replied to this! A tweet from the CMD dashboard is still sent from a bot, which twitter doesn't like. I'd just put what you were going to say into twitter and hit send instead. I don't think on twitter that links or tagging NSFW is an issue, but you need to make sure most of the people you are tagging are following you because twitter will think you are a bot if you tag too many people who don't follow you.

Twitter just wants to see that you are engaging with others without looking fake. They want you to have conversations and participate, so they tend to reward accounts that do that.

I'm experimenting with a second account that is just photos, blog links and promos. I'm trying to get follows from promo accounts (very slowly, twitter is scared of you following a lot of people at once) and seeing how that would do.

I don't know if it's coincidence but I've only been shadowbanned once, and that seemed to be the result of iwantclip's bot going bananas and tweeting out my auto tweet nine times in a row, but I don't just use my account for auto tweets, I interact with other sex workers a lot (which in turn helps both of us promote), basically I use it like I would vanilla twitter, but sexier, and that's nice because it's a space for me to be unapologetically me without being judged.

When I first started as a cam girl, I never had shadow Bans and had interactions on all tweets.
Now, I've gone through changes and made two new accounts and both have gotten shadow banned in a ridiculously short time. The first one was non explicit, but still somehow banned!
This kills me because they always get me at a very low number of followers. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way around it? It makes me not want to post because absolutely no interaction is extremely disheartening. I see super explicit accounts with high followers and no Bans, how do they do it? Does Twitter ever unban, or is it time to call social networking quits?

Do you have any mutual followers on twitter? If you guys interact with each others tweets, that can pull you out. Usually the super explicit accounts have lots of interaction with others and not just photos and links over and over, which makes twitter think it's not a bot account.

I honestly think it's good to use Twitter like a normal Twitter user and advertise occasionally. Same with IG and Snapchat.

Show your personality! In 2019 I don't think it's wise just to have a social media full of free porn and adverts.

Show that you're human.

I've only been shadow banned the once, and my feed is filth. What I think caused my shadow ban was that the iwantfanclub autotweet thing malfunctioned and posted like 9 tweets in a row, and I think Twitter thought I was a bot account, similarly a few friends of mine got shadow banned when they were new and we think that's because they followed too many accounts at once.

I gave up on using Twitter normally. Instead I mass follow followers of models I am similar to or want to emulate, then unfollow those who don't follow back by a few days later. This way brings in way more targeted traffic. Since I started with this tactic ive had sales from Twitter every time I go online for cam/phone/texting etc.

If you keep a list of promoters you can see who has retweeted recently and only target those accounts to tag in your tweet, which makes it more likely to be retweeted. Good tip for when youre about to go online :)

I just made a twitter account as I want to start creating content in the coming months. I put a button up on my niteflirt page and am starting it as just a nf domme account, but my question is...I'm thinking of buying followers. Just to prop myself up until people catch on. I made the mistake of putting up NF auto tweets right away and I'm almost certain I'm already shadowbanned and therefore only have one follower. Do you think it'll be worth it? Until NF clientele starts catching on and sees the new link on my page/start creating content? I plan on updating daily with non auto tweets: screenshots, pics, whatever to make it more "personal" and doing all the other things to build followers, but still. Has anyone done this?

MxtressValleycat
06-25-2019, 02:45 AM
It's very rarely worth buying followers, it just makes it more likely you'll get a proper ban and also if you start getting actual followers, it's less likely they'll see your tweets, and if you're already waiting out a shadowban that's the opposite of what you want.
Follow some other performers, a lot will follow back unless they're hugely popular people, but a lot of the mid-range performers of a few hundred to maybe a thousand or so will follow back so if you're worried about not having many followers looking off putting this is a god way to boost your numbers, with the added advantage of being able to interact with the community more.
