Hi ladies...
I wanted to jump in on this thread as I have posted on here before about UK clubs, I danced in the UK for years and found like most that money in the big city clubs can be very inconsistent...My personal favorite is Blackpool, for anyone who doesn't know it is a huge tourist spot so summers are crazy busy...bank holidays, events like grand national darts week etc even busier.. They are always hiring new girls I managed the schedule for the busiest club there for years and I my best friend is the club owner.. I will provide anyone with information for the club..top out, dance prices, hours just pm message me and you can book with the club directly through me :-)
Anyone wanting info or to book in to work please inbox me and ask for my number.

I had to send them photos so I think they just didn't like me :( I inquired to them and they said they were pretty full but always looking for 'exceptional' performers, then I sent them photos and 3 days later they got back and said sorry we're full but we'll keep you in mind for the future if things change. So I think I'm just not pretty enough/not their type...

Exceptional performer to me means puts on a good stage show, which from your post it sounds like you do, especially compared to the dancers you've been working with in the UK. It's like, they might be too full for another pretty girl who will just strut around on stage, but will make an opening for someone who can do great things on the stage. Worth at least letting them know you're capable of that!

Are there any clubs in london that allow real lapdances? I mean where you can actually touch/sit on the customer. Or does everywhere have the stupid air dance 3 foot rule.

Or does anyone know what the rules are in any other UK cities.

I know the 3 foot thing is a national law but I dont think everywhere enforces it. At least they didnt when I was working in the UK 6 or 7 years ago

^I would love to work somewhere where you can do actual lap dances... would be so much easier to make money.

Ok my thoughts on Metropolis-- it's actually a nice club, the floor managers, doormen, etc are all really nice. It's a super clean club and most of the girls are pretty friendly, there's a few who think they're the cat's meow and are a bit snotty but most of them are pretty cool. Dances are 20 pounds and they are typical pub dances so you dance on a podium/pole a few feet from the customer and it's hard to sell more than one dance, since a lot of the guys are like what's the point of this? Sit-downs are 100 pounds plus bottle of champagne and you still have to be pretty far away from the customer, probably about 2 feet. You can sit with them but you have to be clothed. I made 200 pounds off of 10 dances with 9 different men, I only got one guy to do 2 and I had to come back and grab him for a 2nd dance 30 minutes later. There were a few girls who did sit-downs, but for the most part it was guys coming with groups of their friends and they didn't want to leave a friend for an hour to do a sit-down. The clientele is a bit rough, there are a lot of black guys and black guys don't generally like me so I didn't really bother with them which cut down the amount of people I could speak to. You have to go on stage about 6 times a night and only one of those times do you do a collection which is really annoying and for some reason I didn't do any collection tonight which was even more annoying! You also have to work an 8 hour shift which blows. Technically you're supposed to wear a gown until 11pm but they aren't strict about that unless the owner is there, they just let all the girls wear lingerie tonight.

They advertise no house fee but there is a 50 pound house fee every single night after your first few shifts. All in all, it's a nice environment but I really had to work my ass of to make that 200 pounds and I was fucking EXHAUSTED by 3 am. I'm going to audition at some other places just to see what it's like but I wouldn't mind going back there for another shift. I feel like it's pretty reliable place to make a few hundred pounds thurs-sat, tonight was supposedly not a good night, and I'm always happy to work with nice British girls (one girl was unbelievably sweet, she lives near me and was gonna take a cab but I said I really want to take the bus but didn't know how to get back and she said she would just take the bus tonight so she could show me how to do it!)

Oh and they're definitely open to hiring black girls newb2! There was a lovely black British girl who worked her first night ever tonight and another few black British girls as well.

EDIT: sorry guys forgot to mention the best thing about this club-- strict 1-girl per customer unless one of the girls invites another girl in or the customer specifically calls her over. Management actually enforces it.

Oh yeah-- does anyone have any recommendations for working in Dublin?

I'm debating between whether I want to hit Dublin or Berlin at the end of April and I'm thinking Dublin might be better cause I could work there, that would also mean I could visit the city for twice as long. I'm going to Amsterdam next week and I don't think there's much point in trying to work there or really anywhere else in Europe.

I think most places only have air dances but there def isn't a 3 foot rule though
at my club i can put my tits an inch from his face and as long as i dont touch him, it's fine! there's also a rule you can't touch yourself but i think the strictness of that varies, even within the secrets chain (they dont say anything at hammersmith but at euston they told me not to)

I dont know whether this belongs here or the 'my latest shift' thread but i tried euston secrets today (first time i tried a shift that wasnt a sunday)
my friend and i were so pissed at how shit hammersmith has been and how they refuse to give us shifts at euston so we just turned up lol we gave ourselves enough time so that if they did turn us away, we could still get to hammersmith and work
but they didnt turn us away and now we want to go every night! lol
also apparently 6000 american marines are heading to magaluf (mallorca) next week so i might go for a week there

I tried to talk to a few of them tonight but both of them turned me down for dances and just wanted to get my phone number, which is usually what happens when I approach black guys. Seriously there is nothing sexier than a black guy with a British accent (I love dating black guys anyway but when you add the British accent it's too much) so I kind of stay away from them here partly because they're my weakness!! lol. I have just been turned down so many times repeatedly by black guys unless one of them is eyeing me I don't really bother. I know they will dance with white girls but it's usually the curvy ones with big booties and I don't have that. I do my best with white guys and Asians (by that I mean Chinese/Korean/Japanese).

You can do actual lap dancing at Red rooms in London. But there's also 'other stuff' that goes on too, particularly in VIP.

I have no idea what to do now. I want to call up and book my shifts but I want to get out of Hammersmith and go to Euston. I'm pretty sure they're gonna say it's full again though as they don't want people to leave Hammersmith! If they do say that then I'll have to find another club because I can't stay in Hammersmith where I don't make any money! I don't know whether to walk in again this week at Euston and risk it!

audrey_k
03-31-2014, 06:46 AM
^Just walk into Euston and see if they'll let you work you have nothing to lose. Can you ask to work there in two weeks time, i.e book ahead of other girls? If not then I would go audition at another club so you have a back up and then tell them, nicely of course, that unless they can let you work at Euston part of the week you will have to go elsewhere.

I know when you first start dancing it's hard to leav your club and go elsewhere, it's a bit nerve-racking the first time you do it, but if you aren't making money yoi have nothing to lose.

Normally you have to call up the head office (at Hammersmith) every Monday to book your shifts. The actual managers at the individual clubs have nothing to do with the booking system so unfortunately I can't ask them to be booked in. There's a different housemum on Sundays at Euston and she's quite 'lax regarding walking in etc. She told me that if she was working during the week then she wouldn't have a problem with me turning up. I was sick of not making money so a friend and I walked in on Saturday and they didnt say anything, I'm just scared to press my luck!
Also a girl I was talking to last night said that for every girl that leaves Euston there are about 20 who want to take her place! So I don't know if they are going to condone me walking in all the time!
I'm just a paranoid goody-two shoes and I'm just scared that I'm going to get told off! haha

I would be careful trying to walk in Euston during the week, it is when most girls work, also If ts is the same housemum Im thinking of she will get you in trouble. The weekends are not so good, thats why less girls work.

Phone up head office on a Monday and tell them you want to change club. I changed from Swiss cottage(when it was open) to Euston. And I was worried they wouldn't let me because Swiss cottage was so slow and they needed girls. I just explained I wasnt happy there and enjoyed working in a larger club. They need girls at Euston particularly during the week and a lot girls won't work there because of the long hours.
Randomly turning up sometimes works but not in the long run....

You might just have to be forceful... when I started working at LA I was at the sister club of the club I worked at for years. After being there about three months one of the managers left to go DJ at the other club and told me it was a lot better there, so I packed my stuff and went over there. The owner was there and he sat me down and said I needed to stay at the slower club, blah blah they needed girls. I told him I respected that but that I needed to be at a club that was busier to make my bills and I was driving a long way to get to that club so it really needed to be worth it, I had put in a lot of time at the other club, and I was happy to do half and half but that if he wouldn't let me do that I would move on. He wasn't pleased about it but he said OK fine since he didn't want to lose a perfectly good dancer and really did need girls at that club. I did half and half for like two weeks but then starting making him so much more in commission at that club (I seriously used to make that club like 6gs a month in commission on an average month, I remember counting up 10gs once) he told me to just stay there and actually got really annoyed when I went back to the other one a couple times!

03-31-2014, 06:54 PM
Yeah when I call up tomorrow I'm just gonna say it's not worth my time working at Hammersmith (which is the total truth) and it's way too far away. It's over an hour away and I'm just not making enough money. As a stripper I should not be rejoicing over £200! And I don't even make that much normally there, only when I'm lucky and find a guy who is super in love (which is rare! the guys who go there are old and like their english girls!). On Saturday at Euston I made £200 and I could tell it was a 'bad' night at the club!

they said there was even a waiting list of girls who want to work there wtf. the main manager is going to be there at 4 so they said to call again at that time so she can see what she can do
i dont want to go to any other club though. gaslight is dead, holborn is city people and i've heard that covent is hard if you dont have regulars

Well I called up and she had a go at me lol. She said because I can only work Friday and Saturday this week the only place I can work is Gaslight so I guess I'm sticking with Hammersmith this week and hoping for the best but I'm def going to go to Euston on Sunday. Next week she said she can probably get me into Covent Garden so I'll try all week next week there I guess. I'm leaving for the entire summer at the end of the month and I really need to be making money for it!

There are a few reasons; I'm scared (and slightly lazy) to change clubs and also I don't know where to change to! I'm finally getting used to the hustle at this one and the thought of having to go through another auditioning process and learning how to hustle there (with only 4 weeks until I leave) makes it seem like I should just stick with it. Also, the best clubs are Secrets (which I already work at), Browns, Platinum Lace, Spearmint and Stringfellows and I know they won't hire me because I'm too big (PL already rejected me).

audrey_k
04-01-2014, 10:10 AM
It doesn't matter if it's considered the "best club" if you're not making money there though, lol ;) I don't know it's up to you! It just seems like a lot of stress to stay somewhere, and you can make 200 pounds easily at another club, I mean I made that at Metropolis and it's not even a top club. When I was talking to another member about clubs in London before I moved she actually told me that the hustle at Secrets is supposed to be harder than the hustle at Spearmint/Stringellows, so if you can survive there I really think you can survive anywhere hun and probably make more money elsewhere! The clubs are really not that different hustle wise, it's all the same shit. If you know how to hustle like a Londoner you'll be fine. I understand it's scary to leave your first club though, it's hard for everybody to do that.

newb2
04-01-2014, 10:16 AM
I will look through the list of clubs on ukstripclubs site and see. I also like secrets because the housefee to start off with is only £20 so if i do 3x £40 dances in cash i've still made £100 whereas with a club with a £80 housefee, i've made £40

So I was gonna audition at Secrets and PL today but I was so worn out from this conditioning class I did last night and had to get my nails done it fucked up my whole day :( it's seriously painful to walk I worked out so much last night! I ended up taking a long nap and going to Sophisticats because they had a later audition and I was hoping they would let me work this weekend, I got hired (god it's so cut throat auditioning in London, I know Sophisticats isn't even one of the top clubs and there was like 9 girls there to audition and he hired me and one other girl) but he said I HAVE to work 3 shifts a week and won't let me start until the 16th because I'm going to Amsterdam for a few days next week and can't work 3 days.

I haven't heard back from White Horse and that's where I really want to get hired, I'm wondering if they haven't been able to reach me cause of my American phone # (a bunch of people haven't been able to get through) or if they're just not interested, they haven't seen me or seen photos so I don't know why it would be the later... but I'm wondering if I should just wait to call them until I get back from Amsterdam next Friday or if I should call them now... ugh.

I went to Stringfellows to get my $ and the door guy in charge of checking all the girls in told me that he didn't understand why I quit, that he thought I did really well on a dead night for a new girl and that I should give it more time, but I just really didn't like the vibe there! And the house mom kept criticizing me for the way I was dressed to my hair, my tan, the way I dance, everything and it made me feel totally insecure which was part of the reason I left suddenly. But now I'm wondering if I quit too soon!

I won't have time to audition at PL tomorrow so I'm gonna work Metropolis, I'm wondering if I should audition at PL on Thursday, I just don't want to waste time going there and either a) not get hired or b) possibly not be able to work at Metropolis on Thursday because I can't get there in time for the shift and then be told my PL I can't work this weekend. Metropolis is closed on Saturday so I can only work there Wed-Fri and I HAVE to work somewhere this weekend I can't afford not to at this point, the deposit for my flat is like 300 pounds more than I thought it was and then there was a 350 pound admin fee, so that's another $1,000 down the drain that I wasn't planning on having to spend.

Sorry for the rant guys just super frustrated/discouraged right now... and I don't really have anybody here to talk to!

newb2
04-01-2014, 03:54 PM

audrey_k
04-01-2014, 04:19 PM
I'm supposed to be there at 7. Metropolis and PL are just on totally opposite sides of London and it's gonna take me 45-50 minutes just to get the tube from PL to Metropolis. I guess I could, it's a good idea I just have no idea how long it'll take me to be done with PL, I mean most of the auditions I've done here lasted 15 minutes or less but then today I was Sophisticats for like 45 minutes!

How long was your audition at PL?

audrey_k
04-01-2014, 04:25 PM
The thing about Sophisticats is I think the owner really likes girls who are good on stage, cause there were a couple really gorgeous girls (much prettier than me) who got turned down and I saw them on stage and they were just kind of posing. He requires you to take a dance class every Tuesday at the club, so if stage isn't your thing it might not be the best place.

I always do a lot of pole tricks and honestly that and my American accent are what save me from not making it at auditions cause I have tiny boobies and not a big butt at all and personally I don't think my face is anything special and all the girls here have big fake boobs and pretty faces, so much plastic surgery! Getting a work visa in the UK for Americans is like the most difficult thing in the world so even Stringfellows, that has 174 girls, doesn't have one American and therefore they like me cause I'm a novelty, lol, and it seems like pole tricks aren't that big a thing here (when I got hired at Browns it was because she liked the way I danced on stage, she said a lot of her girls were new and didn't know how to dance really).

newb2
04-01-2014, 04:44 PM
Isn't Metropolis in Bethnal Green though? It will take you half an hour max to get there from PL. The audition at PL didn't take long at all. The arrival time is 6:30 and then he will call you at 7 and you'll audition one by one. I guess it depends on how many girls are auditioning. It probably took about half an hour and there were 4 other girls auditioning with me.

Since we're on the topic of audition times then I'll let you know that if you ever audition at Secrets then it will take a long ass time, especially if you get hired. I was there for about two hours. Although I've seen girls audition in the evenings and it only take about half an hour (I went in the day).

audrey_k
04-01-2014, 04:57 PM
Jesus two hours? What were you doing for 2 hours? lol

Normally when I've auditioned I just get dressed, go on stage and then they've come back and said "OK you can start tomorrow come at x." The reason is took so long today is cause he waited for everybody to get ready and then audition, then he took all the girls who didn't make it aside and talked to them, and then took me and the other girl in separately.

You're right it's not as long as I thought it would be if I take the tube, I looked it up on transport for london but it was using buses, it's like 20 minutes plus 10 minutes walking time to Metropolis from the tube station so I can probably tell her I'll be there by 8. I guess that's not that bad.

Hey Audrey,

Surprised at your experience of Stringfellows. A friend of mine works there (she's the one who kinda got me into this), and she says she averages £2000 a week and quite often gets lucky with tips and stuff. She's about 5'8", pretty, shoulder length blonde hair, C cup boobs. It took a little while to get used to it though, apparently, because she went from a pretty laid back club to this one which has lots of rules about what to wear and how to dance, etc. But there seems to be a lot of money there.

I work in Purfleet, which is just outside of London. I work Thursday and Saturday's and have never come away with less than £150 after fees (£20 house fee and a percentage off of dances depending on how many you do). It's called Tenshi. They also have a club in Rochester in Kent, which is about 45 minutes from London (on the train). However, they're only open Thurs-Sat, 10PM-4AM.

I'd really like to try a club that would allow me to work an occasional Wednesday but I don't think that will happen, haha.

I don't know to be honest it was exactly like what everyone told me it would be! None of the girls I've spoken to on this site or in clubs since I got here have told me good things about Stringfellows, and even when I mention it to doormen/floormen/managers at other clubs when they've asked me where I work they don't speak highly of it. I'm sure you can make money there, I just imagine it's very inconsistent and you just have to be willing to put up with standing in a crowd around customers and dealing with bitchy girls, and that's just not my scene. To be honest I really prefer the pubs :) I also really don't like how much money they take from you, they take way more than any other club I know and the prices are REALLY high there to begin with, I mean 400 pounds for a hour plus +100 pound bottle of champagne is a lot to ask. I'm sure there are a ton of high rollers that come in there and are willing to pay, but the other problem I ran in to is that is seems to be groups of guys that do the hours there, not single guys, and the girls weren't really willing to do a group hustle with me. At the club I'm at right now the girls don't care, some random girl I have never spoken to grabbed me tonight and told me she and her two friends needed another girl to try and get 4 guys to go back and do dances and I went with them and we sold it... but at Stringellows it was like 95% Eastern Europeans and they weren't speaking English and just kept running up to guys and taking over in their little groups. Also dancing on stage is my favorite part of my job and I hated the stage there, it's super fucking tiny and you can barely do anything because a) if you do floor work the black stuff on the ground gets all over your body b) the poles are so short my head was practically touching the ceiling and I'm 5'5 and wear 7" heels so I don't even know what a girl who's 5'10 would do in her heels and b) it's super cramped, you can barely do a spin because you're so close to the other girls on stage and when you dance on the ground floor you're dancing next to a door, so I was upside down and someone opened the door and almost knocked me off the frigging pole! You also spend like 10 minutes on stage there when you dance because you have to do 3 songs and you don't make any money off stage at all.

But, I left on good terms, I was really polite about quitting and told the house mom that I just felt overwhelmed and didn't think it was for me and she said that was totally fine and wasn't annoyed or anything... even when I saw the door guy last night I didn't criticize the club and just said I wasn't sure if dancing was for me at the moment and he said I could come back anytime, so if I change my mind in six months when I'm more used to the London hustle I'm pretty sure they would let me back.

I worked in a place in LA for the last five months that had a terrible atmosphere but I put up with it because I was making 3-4 gs a week and I knew I needed to save up money to a) pay off 10gs in loans so nothing accrues interest until they start coming after me in 6 months and b) save up 13-15gs for my move, and so everyday when I was miserable and burned out I would tell myself that and it got me through, but I don't want to do that anymore. I would rather make 4gs a month instead of 8 and work in a nice environment where there isn't a shit ton of negativity in the air. Plus, when the vibe is bad and everyone is super bitchy and unfriendly it reeeeeally affects me hustle, I have to feel comfortable in a club to do well.

Audrey, I have been reading about your new start in London and I noticed that you wondered why White Horse didnt get back to you. WH is a good place to work at and dont change the girls too much and last time i phoned them asking for a job they had a waiting list. i have a friend who has been working there for ages and sometimes she doesnt get enough shifts (there are a certain number of girls on every shifts, they are very organized like that).
Anyways, hopefully you will find a place that suits you and has a good vibe. I know you have only just moved here so im guessing you dont know many people in London so if you want to chat to a fellow London dancer(strictly speaking ex-dancer as currently im in a 'vanillia' job) or meet for a drink whatever, then PM me.
All the best!

Which tube station is it? The overground Camden Road or the underground Camden Town? I've gotta get another gown I can't wear the same thing every night!
Sorry i never answered this! The shop is near the underground in Camden - on the side that you exit.

^thanks! that's like five minutes from me now so I'll definitely check it out.

So, I'm trying to decide what I should do this week-- try out Sophisticats on Wednesday (no house fee for two weeks) or just go to Platinum Lace or For Your Eyes Only or Whites? I'm going to call White Horse and begin stalking them until they let me come in for an interview.

If I go to Sophisicats I have to work the full week.

Does anyone have any info on clubs on the outskirts of London? I was thinking of trying Beavers in Watford or maybe a couple near Heathrow.
