Went to audition in Metropolis on thursday, did a shift...I mean half of it. From 7 to midnight I've seen 2...yes, TWO guy inside, only one of them got 1 dance after chatting to a girl for 1.5 hrs, the other one was on his phone. :O I was shocked.

^I'm surprised it was that bad! I worked there for a week and I never went home with less than 80 pounds, that was my worst night. I made 150+ the other 4 nights I worked. It wasn't great money, my best night was 300, but it felt pretty consistent to me, I just hated their stupid fucking rules and the ghetto atmosphere.
Just reread your post and I'm not surprised, damn girl why did you put in all those hours and leave at the best time?? you know it's not gonna get busy until after 12! I didn't even bother going on the floor there until at least 11pm!

So finished my first night at Sophisticats, made 200 pounds and I honestly made it pretty easily, I was doing a SHIT job hustling tonight, I felt super fucking sick and I kept going into the bathroom and looking at my phone and getting sad, so if I can make 200 pounds when I spent 3/4 of my shift doing that I think I'll make more next time! lol. The only things I really don't like about the club are that you can't smoke at all once you get in, you can smoke e-cigarettes that's it, I'm a VERY heavy smoker so it was a rough night for me. You also can't drink unless the customer buys you a drink and you have to drink champagne, which is the hardest part for me cause I need to drink to make money-- it's not that I get drunk, but with a few drinks in me I'm in a much better mood and much more flirty. I'm always totally sober by the time I go home cause I don't drink that much. The other negative is you have to take a cab home, you split it with other girls so it was like 8 pounds for me but I live very central, I just hate giving taxi drivers my money, I ALWAYS take public transport (it's an American thing, lol) so I just don't like throwing 8 pounds in the trash.
But the staff is cool (and fucking hot, there's an Italian guy and a blonde guy who are dreamy, and a couple black guys who are pretty sex as well-- the owner is gay so I feel like he only hires hot guy, lol!) and the girls are really not crazy, they don't even like it when you get up and walk across the room to a customer, so girls running up to customers or piling on them (if a customer is with a girl he's spoken for) does not exist there. And the girls are nice, not exactly friendly or anything but they're polite. The fees are also very reasonable and for the first two weeks there's no house fee, which is nice, you get some time to get used to the club before you have to start taking a cut from your earnings. And the customers are pretty high-end, I couldn't sell any VIPs (other girls did, I honestly think I'm just shit at selling VIPs it's me not the club!) but getting them to buy a dance was like taking candy from a baby, I don't think I had a single person turn me down. Whereas at Metropolis it was like convincing them to cut off their fucking dick to get a dance.
hey, any camgirl from london ?

I did a search but couldn't find much recent information, how are the clubs in Bristol and or Scotland? What months of the year 'better' in the UK generally speaking? I'm thinking of going there october after travelling around continental Europe dancing.
I'd possibly be interested in dancing in london but am put off by the high costs of living relative to earning potential. Ive been dancing for over two years though and am a decent hustler and compared to the money Im currently making in Paris it should be a sinch! but hmmmm
Anyways any help would be mucho appreciated! xo

I've consistently heard good thing about dancing in Bristol, and it's also one of the sunniest cities in the UK, so that's another plus in it's favour. Edinburgh is great for dancing in the late winter/spring in lead up to wedding season since lots of stag groups go up there. Good cost of living to earnings ratio too.

Bristol was the first place I ever danced. That was in 2006 though. Urban tiger is probably the best club now but the house fees are really high. 100/120 on fri/sat.

Thank you for the club name. Damn that is quite high as its in pounds too! I guess they're high for a reason though….Any bristol clubs that you know of for me to unequivocally avoid?
Ladies I take it there is no contact for UK dancing? So does that mean air dances only or is light one way touching allowed?

I think it varies somewhat depending on where you are in the country, because I've read on here girls giving more contact up North or in Edinburgh than down in London. In London it's been complete air dancing in every club I've worked at, no physical contact at all, that includes putting your hand on the customer's chair, but I'm always reading posts on from girls saying they give or have been given lap dances.... but air dancing has been my experience at the 5 clubs I've worked at here!

The last time I worked in bristol in 2011 I worked in 2 clubs.Urban tiger which was air dancing but you could get as close as possible without touching. And another called
[email protected] which allowed one way contact. So even in the same city clubs can have different rules when it comes to contact.

I think that lately it's air dances up north as well, I wrote earlier in this thread that you could do contact dances in some clubs in Manchester (you could last year when I was there last) but apparently this has recently changed and they have had to be much stricter, one club had to close because it had its licence withdrawn. :(

^Edinburgh is basically getting as close as possible without touching, though you can often get away with some super light one-way contact (as in touching their face or chest, definitely not grinding or putting your tits in their face). Like britchick said though, contact can vary by club.

I god im scared in gonna end up working somewhere with airdances now. I HATE airdances!!
audrey_k
05-15-2014, 04:40 PM
I hated them in the beginning but now I kind of like them! I do miss selling strings of dances though which I feel is almost impossible to do with an air dance. I mean, they really just want to see you naked and then that's kind of it. If you have to be 3 feet from them there's a not a whole to do for 15 minutes!

With the 3ft distance air dances in the UK, is it sort of a given that you do open leg floor work for longer privates?
I love no contact dances/air dances they rule! After spending most of my dancing career in a state in Australia that allowed two way touching, it's great I'll never be touched again!
audrey_k
05-15-2014, 05:53 PM
^yeah definitely, I mean they can't touch you so you have to give them something for their money and a view of your pussy works pretty well! Plus floor work is a godsend with air dances cause that shit is TIRING. And of course everyone's favorite move-- when I lean my butt over their lap and shake it back and forth without touching them-- is the one that kills me physically, my thighs/calves/gluts are so sore after 10 seconds of that I just want to let me ass drop into their lap.

Hey ladies, I posted a review in the club section.... (club is called Eden) of Blackpool after working there for a weekend.
I was supposed to work the whole weekend but am taking off a day early-- which probably tells you my experience there... but I included a couple tips on dealing with customers if you decide to give it a go. There's definitely a very particular hustle at the clubs there.

Have any of you ladies danced in Bath?
I'm planning a weekend trip there either the last week of June or the first week of August and I'm wondering if it's worth it to dance. I've done some research and there aren't a ton of clubs but there are some. I'm assuming it's a tourist spot during the summer so it might be busy?
Also, do we have any Welsh ladies on here?? I've been told by basically everyone to just forget dancing in Dublin when I go this summer and just enjoy the city, but I'm planning a trip to Cardiff and thought I might give it a shot. I've had so many Welsh customers for some reason and one guy aside (who had the THICKEST Welsh accent I've ever heard and we spent 5 minutes of him saying "can I shag you?" and me saying "I'm sorry can you repeat that?") and they've all been lovely.

^there are a few but I can't find much info on them. I didn't realize Bristol was that close, I'm so shit with UK geography it's actually quite funny! I saw you said Urban Tiger is the best but 120 is like insane. Would they just let me work for a weekend or would I need to go to a lower class club? And is Bristol any good in the summer? If it's work working I will probably do during the weekend and if it's not just go during the week so I can work somewhere else that weekend.

Everything in the UK is so close compared to the US/Canada! My cousins complain about having to go up to Manchester from London (2 hours lol) and marvelled when I'd visit from Edinburgh (maybe 5-6 hours). It's very nice when coming from North America since you can visit so many different places in such a small amount of time!
I've heard good things about dancing in Bristol btw, though never managed to make it down and end up working. It's a very lovely city to visit, so your trip wouldn't be a total wash if anything!

^I know it's crazy! And I really enjoy being on the train, actually, especially East Coast trains cause they have wi-fi. I find it relaxing. I just love it because it makes travel dancing so much easier, and it's cool to be able to see different parts of the UK. I can't deal with London at the moment and everyone has said the summer is shit anyway, so I'm going to be doing crazy traveling dancing for the next three months. Right now I'm looking at bouncing between Bournemouth and Edinburgh, but if Bristol is good as well I may throw that it in the mix and just roaring between those areas for the rest of the summer (also definitley taking one month off to go dance outside the UK). I was thinking of trying Manchester but I really hated dancing up north, granted Blackpool was shit but I just wasn't into the Northerner attitude! (not offense to any Northern girls on here the guys I dealt with were just super grabby and tight)

I'm not sure if she's still around on here, but cairalis worked in Manchester and I messaged her a few times since I debated making a trip down there. It sounded pretty comparable to Edinburgh so I didn't bother since it didn't seem worthwhile to deal with the hassle + cost of travel to make similar amounts of money, but it might be from London! I'll dig through my PMs and see if I can find some info for you.

It's been a while now since I danced in Manchester, I don't really recommend it unless you want to go there anyway. It's only good when football is on but then you get so many girls on those nights so even that is sometimes a miss...it used to be quite easygoing (as in you were "allowed" to touch the customer), but from what I've heard lately it's gone super strict everywhere, one club was apparently closed down. If anyone wants more info feel free to PM me as I have quite a few friends there I could get info from, I can always message them.

^^^^ its been a while since I danced at all but I remember one club from manchester got my e mail, not sure how, perhaps I sent an enquiry or they got it from a dance agency but I got no end of e mails that had obviously been professionally designed and sent out en mass saying how much dancers could earn, ridiculously high amounts, when I figured it out even if you stepped inside the club and got a VIP or did one lapdance after the other until the end of the night you couldn't make the money they were claiming ,(ie £2000 a 6 hour night, when you get £7 per dance max 20 dances an hour or £200 an hour for VIP after commission) also I would always say that clubs that send out e mails stating how much you can make are liars and just after tempting in girls to get more floor fees.

I know what you are saying, I danced in leeds years, there was still money flowing at that time but most of the time it was like pulling teeth, I remember one time that really stood out was when a group of older men chipped in £1 each for their friend to get a dance for his birthday and then said "we are all allowed in the booth to watch right" and I of course said no and they then took more persuading to carry on. As for the club in Blackpool which was reviewed I feel sorry for you travelling there to work, its obvious you were tricked with the old "high earning potential, easy to sell dances you keep everything after fees" malarke, its been well known for a while that Blackpool is a run down dump with a mass of heroin addicts, and where scum take their holidays (super harsh I know) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2570386/Pictures-Blackpools-proud-hotels-sit-boarded-sad-reminder-seaside-towns-faded-glory-days.html check out the top rated comment, sums it up really! I only danced in leeds a few months then stuck tone city just outside london before retiring tow years ago.

Hey ladies, so I need to find somewhere to work in London THIS week... as in I go audition tomorrow night and they let me work Wednesday. Stringfellows and Metropolis are the only clubs I've been to that have let me do that and I don't want to go back to either one of them. I was thinking either Spearmint Rhino or Platinum Lace? Any thoughts? I was also considering For Your Eyes Only but I feel like they'll make me wait until next week.
