Anyone danced at Climax in Essex?

Climax is only open two days a week, I have heard good things about Colchester in the past, its the same club but called climax now but that was a long time ago, also that Lucy and Sam photos is definitely stolen from another club which seems very cheeky!

Does anyone know if I can work in the UK being an American? I met a woman last night who is American who had worked at Spearmint Rhino in London. I thought this was impossible with out a special Visa or permit.

I worked at platinum lace in brighton and hated it. But I have heard better things about grace so I thought I would try it out.

^Nope. It's basically only commonwealth countries that can get the working holiday visa for the UK. Americans can only do a working holiday in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, and Ireland (that last one for only 6 months I believe). Americans wanting to dance in the UK would either need British citizenship/permanent residency or find a club willing to let them work illegally.

I worked at Grace for a few nights earlier this year. My friend recommended it she said she was making £400 per night. I didn't do that well. You mainly make your money from dances and the VIP area sucks. It is basically another dance area with no tables or champagne. So you are basically expected to dance the whole time.

I prefer places that are VIP orientated. Also everything is done on computer. Wheniu go for a dance it is logged on a ccomputer and then at the end of the night if they don't have enough cash they will pay it into your bank account the following week...

The other thing in brighton is the guys like alternative girls. Piercings, tattoos, weird hair etc. They didn't like my look and I get on better in more traditional places if that makes sense. Anyway hope that helps!

Hi there. I live in Doncaster and Bentley's is the only club around me. I've been in there as a custy quite a few times now and got some dances. I've always had a good impression. Having spoken to the girls, most say that they average 200 a night. It's a small club with maybe about 8-10 dancers but I quite like the intimate atmosphere. Iv'e applied there lately after speaking to the girls but I'm worried now after the comments on here that it's going to be terrible somehow. I'm new to dancing and don't want to get scammed so advice would be much appreciated. :)

If you had the Ireland visa, you might be able to get away with working in London as Ireland is part of the EU and as long as you have an EU passport you can work? Not sure.

But yes, as an American working in London they are very strict about checking your passport because I guess a lot of Americans think they can just come here and work, I have had places not even let me audition until they saw my passport... and no passport, no job.

^^^ no permission to wok in Ireland is permission to work in Ireland, not permission to work in the uk or anywhere else in the EU. A working holiday visa isn't an EU passport.

Has anyone worked in Grace in Brighton? Im planning to audition on Tuesday.

I went to Grace and luckily they just hired me without making me audition! I worked from and Wednesday to Saturday. The weekend kinda sucked and the club was pretty dead until the last few hours. And you have to work 8pm to 6am at the weekends.
House fee is low only £16 for the first 3 days worked per week. If you don't make anything you don't have to pay house.
the club also takes 30% from everything you make. Even tips!
dances are zero contact and cost £20
Vip is £80 for 15mins or £150-180 for 30mins.

I know this sounds weird and stupid to ask but is it possible for a strip club in England sponsor a visa or no. I am from America.

I really doubt that a British club would sponser a visa. There are plenty of UK and EU passport holding girls willing to work.

I know secrets let you work as much or as little as you want but you either have to work a monday or a saturday
although i knew a girl who only worked on sundays at euston

I mean you could ask but they definitely wouldn't. Like Britchick said, there are tons of girls in the UK and EU that are willing to work.

newb2
10-20-2014, 01:40 PM
gaslight is part of secrets
girls have told me that its very quiet there. no one does single dances, it's VIPs only 99% of the time. one girl told me she works 5 nights a week though and only makes money one night, but she'll make 1000 or something

Hi London Ladies,

I had my ankle sprained badly a while ago and now that it is recovered i am coming back to work. The thing is, for a start i would like to dance barefoot on stage (and private).

Would You consider that as unlikely to be accepted by the managment of clubs/pubs in London or is it not an issue?

And which clubs/pubs in London would You try first if You were me as they are most likely to accept that?

Kisses XXX

I worked with a girl in Cardiff who couldn't/wouldn't dance in heels on stage and in private. It was a non-issue. Can you dance on your tippy toes?
Honestly I wouldn't even bring it up and just do it. If they ask you/make a big deal, just say you injured your ankle. If they really don't want you to be barefoot, can you just dance really slowly?
In private I don't think it will be an issue at all. I do my privates with no shoes on and know many girls who do.

Thank You for Your reply.

Obviously, I am intending to dance on my tippy toes, otherwise it would look a bit awkward to say the least ;)

As for now, I would not dance in stripper shoes even slowly, too much risk :(

well then i would just do it then! dont ask because it gives them the opportunity to say no.

do you do pole tricks and stuff?

That is the thing. I danced for 3 yrs, but never really climb up the pole ;)

I was thinking to dress up as a baywatch girl, so that being barefoot seems obvious ;) Or as an armygirl/policewoman to dance in blach high-heel sneakers :)
Do You think that would be ok?

Hi all - longtime lurker here. Forgot my password!

I'm from Australia and danced at Secrets while I was in the UK - a friend of mine danced at the Euston club, but as mentioned earlier it's exceptionally hard to get placed at Euston. I requested not to work in the city (I had a day job so was a bit worried about being seen by my coworkers) so worked at the Swiss Cottage club - which was actually really really easy money as it was quieter and I don't think the girls in there had ever had to hustle. Getting dances booked (and extended) was like taking candy from a baby! Dancing in a gown however was quite a bit trickier!

A lot of the girls there were eastern european with not great english and some of them weren't too polite either, so they loved anyone from Commonwealth countries.

The door fees were stepped which I thought was really reasonable - meaning you never had the risk of leaving with less money than you began with if it was a quiet night. I thought they were great, actually - I only worked on Saturdays, but it was good.

I heard that Brighton was good during the summer. Lots of stag dos. My friend does well in Cardiff in the summer, again because of stags. So pretty much any city that's gonna have stags

^I was thinking about Brighton or maybe Bournemouth, I danced in the later last summer and it wasn't bad. Cardiff is a bit far East for me. Brighton would be nice as its so close to London.

Short time lurker but I've auditioned for a few clubs already. I applied to The Windmill online and they responded letting me know their audition times. So I went in there, spoke to the manager, and then went downstairs to undress in heels. The house mother was very kind. The manager gave me a once over, said I look like one of the other girls (sounded pleased with this, although I'm not sure)..and that was it really. No dance or anything.
Then I spoke with the receptionist and jotted down my name and number and they told me they would ring me.
I'm not really sure if this was just a nice way of saying 'dont call me, ill call you' or not.

Anyone else experience The Windmill's interview / audition process?

Random update because I started working at grace in Brighton
I worked this weekend and to put it bluntly it was shit. But it was shit for most girls. One of the girls last night said it's the worst Saturday she's seen at the club since she started 8 years ago
So wow
I talked to another girl there and she said that platinum lace is better money but bitchy (and ugly) girls but I'm here for a month I just want to make my money and leave tbh (and if they are as ugly as everyone says then it's good for me lmao)
I'll see if I can work/audition on Friday and if I don't like it I have a shift booked at grace on Saturday so I'll go back
But we'll see

I rang them last night because I'm eager lol and then they replied to me quickly. Ah now I'm nervous. Grace didn't even make me audition but I'm pretty sure I have to at PL.

audrey_k
10-14-2015, 01:11 AM
^you have to at PL. I used to know someone who worked there, she said they like lingerie and to wear it when you audition.

She said it was super tough to make money as the girls are crazy competitive there, but if you get there early you can pay a super low house fee. I think they just opened a new club cause I got an email from the manger a few days ago asking girls to audition.

They replied to me quickly last night saying they do auditions Tuesday-Thursday at 9pm. I emailed back today saying I'd like to audition tonight but I feel like they don't check their emails unless they're at the club (which opens at 9). Should I wait for a response or just turn up at 9 when they open?
