^platinum lace in London you can just show up. Are you trying to get in the one elsewhere ? I emailed them and got a response but I don't think they really care it's not like the clubs where they need to see photos first.

I auditioned at the platinum lace in Brighton. It was fine. Got in. Another girl who auditioned at the same time didn't I felt bad. Apparently it was a dead night but tbh it was more customers than graces had on Friday
I was top earner but I didn't even make that much. It's a Wednesday so I don't mind. Still better than I did at grace by miles lol
The girls and staff are super nice as well.
I was just annoyed because I should have got this really drunk guy to buy an hour not half but whatever. You live and learn

Hi guys :) I'm currently working in Australia, but from the UK. I'm moving to Liverpool - where I was before - and want to work in Liverpool or Manchester. If anybody has worked in either city please could you give me names of clubs to AVOID and ones to go for? And any idea of earning potential or how many shifts clubs need per week? Thanks :)

Another member posted about Manchester a couple pages back and basically said it was a waste of time tbh. Haven't heard anything about Liverpool though. But regarding the north I did hear that Blue Velvet in Newcastle is very good.

Where in Australia are you working?
Working across NSW :) there's a massive market for outcalls/private work here, along with topless waitressing. It sucks the UK haven't really got on to it yet, I think cos we don't have the disposable income like the aussies do. Still, I'll be gutted to go back to club work but it's still much better than minimum wage hey! Thanks for the suggestion about Newcastle, bit too far for me to go a few times a week though from Liv. It's so hard trying to work out which clubs to go for from so far away, does anybody know f any websites where dancers review clubs just like they do on here?

There aren't a heck of a lot of EU/UK dancers online, so this is really the best place to find reviews. To a lesser extent, there's also www.strip-magazine.com/forum but I find it's not very active. Still, sometimes they have reviews or comments for clubs not mentioned on here.

Hey UK ladies,
I'm currently living in Greece and thinking of heading up to the UK around Christmas time and the new year to work for a couple of weeks. Does anyone have suggestions for clubs that may be busy (or just somewhat steady I guess) at time of year?
I have friends in London and Bristol that I can stay with so I would prefer either of those places, though I hear London is brutally competitive. I am also open to other places if there are places that tend to be more busy during that time of year.
Any tips would be appreciated!

I worked at FYEO and it's only open Wednesday-Saturday. To be honest Wednesday and Thursday were normally a waste of time unless you got lucky. Friday and Saturday you could make minimum 200, normally more. It depended.
Fantasy is open all week and on Monday it's the only club in the whole of Wales that's open on a Monday and my friend works there now and says she can make 250 minimum on a Monday there and I also heard it's a bit better overall, especially on the weekend since it's on the main strip/road whereas FYEO is on a side road.
All of the clubs are owned by the same company (FYEO) so it's not like they're in competition with each other, they promote all the clubs together.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the info!
Also how much documentation do they require? Like proof of residency etc?
Are the clubs gown clubs or can you wear whatever you want?

You have to bring your EU ID or work permit.
FYEO is gowns until midnight and then after that you can wear whatever you like. The other clubs I think you can wear whatever you like all night I'm not sure.

Girls, where do you guys get cheap outfits in London or Bristol? I usually wear bikinis, nothing too special and I don't like to spend a lot of money on work outfits. I'm traveling to the UK in January and I don't want to have stripper things on me when crossing the border. The club I'm working at isn't a gown club.
Or does anyone have any recommendations for online retailers that ship to UK or Greek addresses.

Yes to the first 2 q
And when I was there it was £25 house fee and then £5 from each dance
But this was ages ago i think they changed it
Also reminder that this is fyeo in Cardiff I dunno what the other fyeos are like

You definitely got the looks, and most guys don't give damn about your dancing skills so don't worry about that. Your english might actually be a disadvantage, I worked in a pub where 90% of the girls were brazilian, and guys loved their broken english, teaching them new words etc. One of the british girls actually started to fake an eastern european accent and she banked. My proper english only got me the talkative non paying customers 8)>:(
Where in the UK are you? I'm in London atm and it sucks but I heard Scotland's a bit better. :-\
I realise this post was two years ago now, but I work in Edinburgh and I've actually heard the reverse (that London is much better). Edinburgh is great, but only during the festival when all the tourists are in town. Apparently Glasgow also sucks as the rules are so strict that many of the dancers aren't sure what to do, plus the clubs are absolutely packed with competition. Now Aberdeen on the other hand is supposedly great. Probably because of all the oil workers who have some extra cash.

Hey ya'll- Anyone with experience in Aberdeen?
I'm an American dating a Scottish guy, we are talking about getting married and moving me over. I fully expect to do some kind of sex work at least my first couple years, preferably stripping, and would really like to hear what it's like in Aberdeen.
Specifically- what are the laws like? I've heard it's no or one-way contact but that "clubs aren't good at enforcing it." I'm totally OK with contact if it is standard, but if it's not technically legal I'm wondering if raids are an issue? I'd hate to be caught up in something and have issues when I need to renew my visa/apply for settlement.
Also, I will be 30. Will this be an issue for getting hired? I feel like this is probably a stupid question, but am asking because I know of clubs here that strongly prefer to hire young girls, so I just want to make sure. Especially since the university is right there and I've heard competition is high (which I am used to).
Besides that I'd love any info at all on the clubs there- how they stack up against each other, the management, scheduling, house fees, earning potential, what's the hustle like, etc, etc. Little worried my American accent will be a turn off for customers (I never realized how nasal it can sound until I heard my boyfriend imitating me!), but I think that's something I'll have to wait and find out for myself! haha
I won't be moving for another year or so. I know it's an expensive city and have heard the oil workers provide a good source of clientele. I also know there's been lots of layoffs recently and the whole industry is facing a bit of uncertainty, so things could change a lot in the clubs between now and then. I'm just trying to get as much info as possible in case I need to start making other plans.
I'm hoping to visit the clubs on one of my next trips, if I can afford it, but thought I might get more info on here (or at least narrow down which clubs are worth checking out). One of my BF's friends works at a club and offered to get me shifts "no questions asked", but I'm not super comfortable with working illegally and would worry this might piss off the other girls.
Thanks!

I dont have info on Aberdeen but I will say that regarding raids and stuff you don't need to worry. There aren't really raids, more undercover people and you wouldn't get in trouble, it's the club that would be fined/closed down.

I don't have any info about Aberdeen but just wanted to let you know not to worry about your accent!
I am Canadian and just did a strip trip in England and people were totally into the accent! It was an easy ice breaker and conversation starter. I would try to get guys to guess where I was from and I would make a little game out of it.
UK customers are different than what I am used to back home, which had some challenges, but the accent was not that big of a deal!

Hiya! I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and I started working in London about 2 months ago. I'm Canadian-born-Chinese and I turn 20 tomorrow! I go to school; I'm in university for fine art, first year at the moment. I work for Lorraine's Agency which currently supplies girls to The Prince of Wales Pub in Hertfordshire, the Nags Head in Whitechapel, Vanity Soho and The Royal Standard. I personally prefer working at the pubs despite not having an earning potential of £1k and up because it's almost always guaranteed money, even on a dead sunday. I don't do very well at Vanity, which is the club, because I'm simply terrible at selling VIPs. They're £200 for half an hour and to be frank, the club is too shitty to warrant such a high price. They take £100 off every VIP, plus a £45 house fee and Lorraine takes £100 per month to work for the agency. London is pretty shit for dancing but it's still a ton better than my other options which are all minimum wage entry level jobs. The most I've ever made at Vanity is £250 which is pathetic for the length of the shift. I spend more time reading for school than actually dancing there, but if I want to work at the nice pubs, then I have to do my prison time at Vanity. The Nags head has commission + a £50 house fee but I almost always make money there. I haven't cleared £300 yet in a shift but Lorraine has also stopped giving me friday/saturday night shifts there lol out of spite probably. The Prince of Wales is kind of cheap, the lap dances are 10 quid but they're always busy and I've never walked away from a 4 hour shift with less than £150. It's worth the trek up to watford. I've never worked at the Royal Standard but all the other girls say it's shit.
I think I may apply to The White Horse or Browns/Griffin/Horns starting end of March. I went in for a photograph at the griffin but did not make it past that. I think now that I have more experience they'll take me on. I'm a good pole dancer and my stage shows are great; it's the hustling I have issues with lol
The East London Strippers Collective are a great group of girls who have recruited me and their events are lovely. They pay you for your stage performances as well as organise a tipping system that can easily get you 50 quid worth in tips just by performing at their parties. They are really fighting for better working conditions for dancers and I think what they're doing is wonderful. Their life drawing sessions at 23 Paul Street and The White Horse are also worth going to!
So yeah thats about it! I'm still very new to the industry so any and all advice and tips are welcome but now that I'm actively working I'm also happy to answer any questions! <3

Just wanted to give you guys an update about Foxies in Swindon.
Out of the British clubs I have tried, this ones my favorite so far. It's a mid sized club. Has a small stage with one pole. No one really pays attention to the stage. They only put girls up there if there's customers in the building and I've danced two times in a night at most. The stage is one song and you're supposed to be topless by the end of the song but not everyone was.
The club is open Tues-Sat. There was six girls working on a Friday night and seven on a Sunday. Varying body sizes, it really didn't seem like they were picky. I just called emailed them with pictures and got a shift booked, no audition required. They need to see proof of age but didn't ask for work papers or anything that showed I was legal to work in the UK.
Shifts start at 10 pm and the club is open until 5-6 but will close early if it's slow. House fee is 10 pounds and commission is 25%. There are 10 pound topless dances, 20 pound nude dances, 15 min for 50 pounds, 30 min for 100 and 1 hour for 200. I haven't sold any 10 pound dances or many VIPs but single dances are easy enough to sell. They have a voucher system in place. It's pretty easy to shorten the VIP dances if you want to and I would suggest you do because it's kind of a rip off to you to do 15 mins for 50 pounds when you can do three dances (9-12 mins) for 60. The 20 pound dances are pretty much out in the open upstairs with a semi partion. The VIP dances are upstairs and a little bit more private.
There are cameras in the VIP and it seems like a pretty clean club, especially by Toronto area standards that I'm used to, but I get the feeling that some of the girls may provide a little more in terms of grinding etc. The club allows one way contact. I have no reason to believe that anything more than that happens. Maybe it's a dirty club by British standards, I'm not entirely sure but this isn't something that bothers me and airdancing clubs (like London or Bristol) are annoying.
The club doesn't pick up until after midnight but you have to be there for ten, which gets boring but after that it's a steady stream of customers.
You can wear whatever you like. On the phone I was told that I should not wear thongs but when I got there I saw that most girls were.

I am currently dating a guy in the UK (but live in the US) was considering dancing in London. Do any of you girls in London know if I could get hired there without a work permit? Particularly Spearmint Rhino? Or know how I could go about obtaining one or working at a place where their rules are a bit relaxed?

I couldn't find a club in London proper that would let me work without a permit. Some clubs asked for a craaazy about of ID. This was the case for Bristol clubs as well. I suspect that all of the major cities would be similar and all the chain clubs across the country.
But that being said, I do know of some clubs that don't carry about papers. Your safest bet is clubs outside of cities/that aren't part of any chain. Send me a PM and I can fill you in.

Hi! I would've posted this in the newbies thread but this seems better more likely to get the response I need. I'm from East London and going home for a couple of weeks in search of a job. I could do with some advice about where to audition as there are plenty of places. Friendly management and flexibility are top of my list (as they probably are for most girls).
Pros:
I'm 6ft, slim/athletic and pretty (mostly of Eastern European descent, so...)
I've done burlesque at uni and some camming, so I have some SW experience and am definitely an exhibitionist.
I am friendly and have quite a posh accent.
Cons:
Never actually danced in a strip club before. Plus I'm clumsy and not very flexible, so not the best dancer anyway. I'm still not 100% sure how to pole/lap/table dance other than from the odd film or documentary.
I am quite shy.
I'm currently suffering from fatigue and don't know how many shifts/nights a week I can work.
I will probably only be in London for a week or two mostly just to see if this is a thing I can actually do.
So, if anyone has any advice for me specifically or generally re: the best current London clubs for newbies, I'd really appreciate it. :)

Hiya! American girl here, will be moving to Bath in 2 months for uni. I'm 19, petite, tattooed, exotic looks. I've been dancing at a club in SF for about 2 months and have done a little camming. I definitely want to do sw to make money while I'm at school for the next 3 years. I know my best bet is Bristol, and I'm happy to read that money is not bad there! I will have a student visa, will they allow me to work with that? Any tips for me and what I should know coming from the US? Will there be a good customer base for me? From the sounds of it, I will probably check out Urban Tiger. If anyone could give a 2016 update of the working conditions there that'd be great!
I'm also thinking about getting into escorting, possibly. Or domming hehe (no section for that on sw?!) And debating whether or not I want to keep up w camming - money is definitely not great, but I see potential and i get somewhat of a kick out of it. Any camgirls here?
If anyone has experience with pp agencies, I would also consider that because it seems like fun and steadier £ ?
Thanks for answering my loads of questions! Finally finished reading the entire thread!

I have some things written about Urban Tiger further up in this thread. The info is still relevant. You won't have problems with your papers. Be prepared to pay the highest house fees I've evenbe encountered anywhere. 125 pounds on a Sat night plus 30% commission. Just call them and set up a time to come. I was hired on the spot for a weekend shift.
Bring gowns and other stripper things because they aren't as easy to get in the UK and shipping costs from the US are not cheap.
For Urban Tiger, it's gowns until midnight and then after your free to wear what you want. Most girls wear lingerie. It's strictly no contact and sometimes they even impose the three foot rule. I found it pretty difficult to get used to such strict rules but some other girls managed to make decent money.
Central Chambers is owned by the same people and you can switch back and forth. They also have the gown rule and they are open until 6 am, a bit later than Tiger. The fees are about the same I think.
I hated Urban Tiger but some girls did bank. The managment was OK, the other girls were nice and the customers were fairly respectful. But I hate gown clubs and hate clubs that try to be fancy. I also hated the super high house fees. A lot of girls worked in teams and this seemed to work best at Urban Tiger. I didn't stick around long enough to find someone to work with, which affected my money as well.
Foxies in Swindon is on the other side of Bath, if you want try a smaller town club first. The house fees are like ten pounds and the commission is 25%. There's no dress code. I banked here on the weekend because most of the house girls don't know how to hustle.

Layla, thank you so much for all the info! Literally everything I wanted to know :)
Unfortunately not sure if I'll be able to dance because the terms of my Visa strictly state "no self-employment or business engagements, or employment as an entertainer." Ugh. Plus I will only be allowed to work 20 hrs/week during term time. BUT I would like to look into it more and find a way around it if I can, because in all honesty I kind of need the money just to support my education, but of course I don't want to get deported lol. If it's somehow, in any way, legal - I'm doing it. Hopes are not high tho :/
Is there anything different I should know about the way dancers are taxed in the UK vs US? Thanks again.

Urban Tiger might care about that but maybe not.
Foxies in Swindon won't care. I've worked there with Canadian passport. Most smaller city / town, non chain clubs in the UK won't care.
I wouldn't stress about the twenty hour limit. Foxies, and all the other UK clubs I was working at, only seemed to look at ID O for age verification. I wouldn't try London but I think you'd be fine.
And I have no idea about taxes because I've never paid them or had to fill out any tax info at any of the clubs I've work at in the UK.

I work in Chambers and there is no gown rule you wear whatever you want. That's one of the reasons why I prefer it! I usually wear a bikini! Also house fees are lower, £100 on a saturday and no % commission except on VIPs. But yes you can switch from one to the other.
As for the visa I think we are pretty strict but we have had a Canadian girl work there last year who was only over temporarily so your best bet is just to email or call up and ask I would say.
Interesting info about Foxies. Might have to check it out especially if the regular girls are as you say.

Oh man, I wish I knew that when I was working in Bristol. I hate wearing gowns. I feel so silly and childish in them. Like a kid playing dress up.

Hi fellow UK ladies, I am an ex dancer from Leicester who danced worldwide for over 10 years. Through this time I saw and heard some utter horror stories about agents and I want to go against the tide big time and create something that is by dancers for dancers. We are called Showgirls International and the link is . I have been in your shoes and I completely understand how brilliant and at the same time, shitty this job can be and I am always available to help and give advice. The site also has a blog with tips and tricks for girls starting out and also to let more seasoned girls know that I have been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Please get in touch for any enquiries and also please let any girls know who might be interested. I have many references and am happy to give any information to let girls know what I'm about :)

Hi :-)
I'm looking for a UK club where I can travel once a month for a weekend. Close to London Heathrow or Stanstead would be best :-)
I'm tattooed and would prefer a rather casual club.
Can anyone suggest a club where it's possible to make at least 500£ Friday and Saturday?

Check out the clubs Chris has listed on here. There's loads of info about the UK. You don't have to go through him if you don't want to use an agency. You can just call the clubs yourself.

Hi everyone, long time lurker here!
I’m 20 years old and I've been thinking about becoming a stripper for some time now (glad I’ve finally made my mind up), I’m currently in uni working as a part time cleaner, it's ok...... BUT! I’m not earning or saving enough to keep up with London.
Anyway, I was looking around on a few sites and I noticed that clubs like FYEO and SC offer free lessons or academies to newbies like me, but I’m wondering if this is too good to be true?
Have any of you taken part in these, if so what's your experience with them?
