I love the purple tones with gold, it gives it a violet color and looks gorgeous with maroon plus the fairy lights make it stand out!
Also do you have to wet the wallpaper to adhere or does it come with a self stick back? I always find they tear or leave residue streaks behind..

Find some amazing wallpaper bb and cover his mess up. The tempaper I got just peels right off and doesn't harm the paint underneath at all. They say it lasts like 10 years or so without pealing in the corners.
Did you order yours online and was it relatively easy to put up? Sorry if you have answered this already! I love your wall!

Hey ladies! So I am fortunate enough to be moving next month into a place where I'll have my own cam room, and I need all the help I can get as far as design and decor goes!!! I have never had a separate room for camming, or a choice in wall color/design to this extent so I am excited and want all the help I can get!ROOM LAYOUTIt is pretty small, more long than wide. You walk in and directly to the left is a closet with sliding doors. Opposite the closet is a small window. This window will likely need to be covered with thermal curtains for noise reasons and nosy neighbors, but I may get frost window covering just to get a little natural light in, although I mostly use studio lights. I didn't have time to do measurements yet, but am hoping I can figure out where to move everything after I figure out colors.-COLORSI can't do anything dark or extreme color-wise, because we are fixing this place up to resell. I noticed online that a lot of girls seem to have all white rooms, and I'm wondering if this would be ideal for lighting purposes, or if a colored room would be more warm/approachable to customers? I will need to paint the walls white first anyway, thinking of doing a raffle to have fans pick which color to paint in the end? I am also thinking a toned down grey, or lavender. -BEDI'll probably have a twin to start with. What color bedspread is best that would turn guys on?-DESIGNOther misc ideas include dark stained wood hooks to hang my lingerie up, a plethora of string lights (maybe color changing ones), a net/canopy over the bed, and wrapping the room with green ivy/white string lights. I'd like the closet replaced with a mirror, but that might be an idea for down the road.Floors will get replaced later, it's currently an old tan carpet. I think hardwood would look best, but worried about the noise factor.About me (if it's relevant)I do professional porn but have a relatively girl next door/innocent look. I want to project a professional set up, but still have a room that's cozy enough to not mind being in. I am interested in building more finsub/pay pig clientele, but want the room to be as versatile as possible. I do couples camming and am not sure if I will do couples camming in a different room, or get a bedspread with different colors on the other side to change things up/offer variety.Any of you have any insight? What do you think is necessary for a cam room? Any helpful links/photos/blogs you've found? Would love to hear your input and update with photos as it's put together:)

Personally i jusy creep on a bunch of rooms, see what looks good, and try to find it online. Sometimes i try to find funny pictures or pillows to add some pop.

This is going to sound odd cause i don't really know the words to use to convey what i'm after, but i am wondering if there's a way to get that 'clean', minimal, white look in videos that some people have on photos for instagram etc? I have a really old-fashioned house with stupid beige/off-white walls and dark coloured furniture everywhere so it's a million miles from sexy. I haven't made clips in over a year and i was thinking of getting back into it, but looking at some of the top clips on c4s and iwc etc now, everyone has these gorgeous, super white, minimal surroundings. Is there anyway to blur, whiten up, or otherwise make the backgrounds in my videos look nicer?

Just get a green screen curtain and edit it white

I don't mean like completely white cause that would be unnatural, i just mean 'whiten'/blur everything that's there so it looks better and more minimal. I don't know if what I am after is possible. Are there filters for stuff ike this? ;/

Maybe getting a backdrop, something like in the videos and then using minimalist furniture. Something like a glass table etc. Lucite

Is it a "depth of field" you're looking for? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field

You could try different LUT's and using color grading and/or playing around with white balance in your video editing software but it would lighten up everything including yourself. You could also play around with the white balance settings on your camera but, again that would lighten up everything.
There are expensive compositing software packages that can "mask" out areas, one such software is Adobe After Effects but it would take a lot of time to do what you're trying to achieve.
The infinite white background that was popular in the older Apple commercials is achieved with a seamless white background and lighting.
Your best best is to play around with the ISO settings on your camera to black out the background completely so you don't see what's in the background at all. It gives a very flattering studio look.

You just an L -shape space to create the look you need for the scene. somethings just your back ground needs to be set in the scene you want.
Like set design for a school play.

God, if there is a camera trick for "make my background look clean, pretty and minimalist," I really need to know about it! I'm not sure that's a real thing, though.
If you can't paint the walls, I think the beige could still work if you treat it like one of the colors in your design scheme and try to "whiten" other stuff. So depending on your shade of beige paint, you could do white + beige + dusty lavender and gold accents. Or white + beige + grey/silver/pewter + a few shots of some "real" color you like a lot. You could probably get some reasonably inexpensive couch covers, a big, white blanket that you can throw over your regular bedding, one of those white, plush, faux fur rugs, curtains, throw pillows, throw blankets, etc.
I'm pretty sure that the interior trend isn't the true-sterile-minimalist aesthetic that we've seen for the past 10-15(?) years, but more of a "nearly-monochrome-minimalist plus a lot of texture." White, yes, but maybe layers of different whites/neutrals, and layers of texture - plush things, furry things, drapey things, dangling things... If so, I'm pretty excited about it, and I think that look would work great on cam. (I'm not excited about how a dog would dirty up the white things and chew on all the furry things, though...)

You can blur background in your video editing software by setting it to 'track' you and everything else round you stays blurred. As for creating a minimal look only you can do that :-/
May Be clear a corner and just have a nice looking chair to work with or something

Thanks for all the tips :D My cam room is as clear as can be really but it's boring to just stay in there all the time, although i could try a smaller bed or chaise lounge to open up the space a bit. I'm really not creative at all haha so i'm useless at knowing what will go with what or acheive the look i'm going for. I shall experiment. Loving the youtube tutorials, I found a couple earlier that were really inspirational. I might just have to get a screen.

AMAZON
Amazon photography backdrops, I have many of them, currently have a dragon up from Halloween.
www.twitter.com/sam38g if you want to look at my pics
On Amazon you can buy a white muslin or such photography backdrop, I have tall walls & 100 by 100 inch sliding glass doors in each room so I buy the 10ft by 10ft backdrops. They add a lot of drama to my shoots & camming.
For the off white color & a cheaper option is painter cloth, go to Walmart or Lowes & pick up a painter cloths that protects your floors when painting the walls.
Or you can do peel & stick but isn't permanent or destroys your walls, wall paper also on AMAZON.
I don't paint, since I do have such big picture window/sliding glass doors facing the north with water views. The light in my place is perfect for glamour shoots. I dont have any harsh shadows or even double shadows on my white walls.
But a backdrop or painters drop is muted and not shine which will help prevent harsh shadows when you take pics or film.
You can really dramatically change the look of your room with the photography backdrops & now ya'll have one of my secrets.... :) I just put mine up with thumb tacks.

Susie, My cam room is small too - I bought backgrounds with a frame but it is too big for me to film with the correct lighting. I took the bed out and replaced with a day bed and furnished it with bright cushions. Hung a pic up and it makes me want to be in there more as its more inviting. I also have a small corner that I can film clips in and cam from if I want to change it up. I have a trifold screen there to make it a touch more interesting but have also bought some backgrounds as have been mentioned above

It's just editing. My walls are like gross mustard color but I use a green screen curtain and edit my background either black or off white depending on the video. As for blur, that's just depth of field but can be edited in with the blur tool in Adobe premiere if you have that! :)
