Tempest, those before pictures are pretty brutal but obviously you did a ton of work and achieved your goals!
I hate when girls say they'll "never" be skinny. You can be anything you want if you try hard enough!

That means a LOT coming from someone I hold in high esteem personally and professionally. ;)

my mom's always bitching at me, "cut out gluten" "stop eating carbs and sugar!" but my body craves it sooo much, especially on the remeron..the med does some weird thing with insulin and cortisol where you crave carbs like nobody's business! i'm eating a ton of salads tho and with the bloat going down, im seeing a big difference

@ tempest... i saw the pictures you've posted before... i don't know how you look right now, but you were super-hot in the before pics, honestly ! I'd tap.
@simone, i've tried countless diets over the years and have been SHIT.... weight watchers, cabbage soup, dukan, atkins, south beach, the only thing that has proven to be the most efficient for me, and basically hassle-free, is counting calories. Yes, i save 60 calories every morning by artificially sweetening my coffee, which i can add later to my lunch intake or something.. since september, i've never haad a day of eating more then 1000-1200 calories per day (not even christmas), and i've never felt better. Whenever i crave sweets, i munch on some raisins... oh, and the last morself of food had to me 4 hours before bedtime.

:) Thanks...the one that I posted in PP are the current ones. I'm happier at a size 3 than I ever was at a 9.

Damn! 34 in being the average waist size! My hips aren't even 34 in:O
I guess I would be considered a really small but muscular hour-glass? 32B (Don't laugh)- 23- 33. I think my metabolism has become faster some how. I have to watch what I eat though because my Dad is a diabetic, my uncle just lost part of a leg from diabetes and my sister leans that way too. I watch my sugar intake and still my sugar levels are on the high end of normal!
But if I were to eat the way I really want to: pizza, cro-nuts, ice cream..it goes straight to my gut first and then my face.

I'll settle this, both Dorien and Tempest are hot and amazing. I think both are representative of what dancers should be.

I was doing them regularly. Recently, I've switched my fitness routine, not quite as many squats as before. But I do knee climbs up the pole up-side-down:-)

Just came across this article. Holy fucking hell the average American woman's waist is 34". That is almost 3 FEET around the middle. What the fuck is this country coming to? My hips are 35".
What's even scarier to me is obese children. Children have the metabolisms and activity levels of hummingbirds - becoming overweight is much more difficult than it is for adults. Parents passing down their eating dysfunctions to their children should qualify as abuse / neglect. They're setting their kids up for a lifetime battle with health problems.
I'm stepping down from my soapbox - this thread is about our own body types. :)

It's really sad but the fat acceptance movement thinks it's ok.

it is VERY disturbing that there are obese kids out there, unless there is something really medically wrong with them or something..when i was a kid, i could eat like a horse and i was still a shrimp cuz i was a kid! it kinda blows my mind. i think all the chemicals and genetically modified shit they put in the food now that they didn't have when i was a kid is adding to it, plus parents who are obese themselves and see nothing wrong with it! you are setting your kids up for health problems their entire life. if you want your own health going down the shitter that's one thing, but you should want better for your children.

It's definitely what they eat.
Just last night my husband and I were watching TV and a KFC commercial came on with some mom raving about how her kids will finally eat dinner thanks to KFC's dipping box. Yeah, a big bucket of fried chicken with a bunch of sugary sauces.
I was like, "THAT'S dinner?!" Fried chicken and sugar... No vegetables on the table, not even a barely healthy side dish of something. That's the kind of thing you might pick up as an appetizer for a super casual get together with friends. It's not something a child should see and think, yeah, that's a normal, healthy family dinner.
A lot of kids' daily diet looks something like:
Breakfast
Poptart
Juice that is mostly just sugar water
Lunch
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Goldfish crackers
Cookies
More sugar water pretending to be juice
Dinner
Fried Chicken
Dipping sauces
Soda
or
Pizza and Soda
Treats! (Because after those meals, they sure do need some treats don't they?)
Cupcakes or snack cakes
More soda
Potato chips
That's a normal American diet for a child today. NORMAL. I was stunned when my son started school by how the other parents fed their children. They claim they're just too busy but the sad reality is that a kid who eats TV dinners for meals is ahead of the curve now. He's getting better nutrition than most of them.

The sillouette of my body is a little bit hourglass (big rib cage AND big hips), and my build is a hybrid of both endo and meso (I'm a bit tall but also muscular).
There, back to the OP.

I have a man body. My over all shape is this I, but I'm super buff from crazy pole work. Pegnancy didn't impact my body in the slightest:(
Some curves would be nice:( There really isn't anything soft or feminine about my body. Hell, I dated a guy who creepily had the same body as me. We'd stand next to each other and compare, and except for the our gender we were the same.

^ i'm kinda straight up and down now too, except i have a big plump ass when i gain weight. so i've pretty much come to the realization that when im skinny my stomach is amazingly flat and my legs look super long, but i also get a flat-looking ass and a bony harsh face. if i'm slightly chubby ( like now) i have a great gravity defying bum and a nice young-looking full face but a bit of a stomach. i have great cheekbones, but my face looks disproportionately thin and bony when my body is slim. i just wish i was blessed with big fluffy baby cheeks no matter my weight :(
ugh i've never been this heavy before, just figured i'd vent on here because i certainly can't vent to friends or family without getting eye rolls and sighs lol

It's really sad but the fat acceptance movement thinks it's ok.
Ugh, I am arguing this issue with a size 22 woman on another site who thinks Barbie should be more realistic and look like the "average" woman aka the fattie patties. She even said she sees nothing wrong anyone being fat, including kids. Well, I do and consider it a form of abuse to be a fat kid. Back when I was a kid obesity with kids was rare and I remember one kid who was a bit on the chubby side. The rest of us were average or skinny. Why? because we actually ran and played outside and didn't eat a lot of crap. My parents made homemade meals and McDonald's was a treat. Now it's an everyday thing and kids are obese like their parents. I teach religious ed at church and several of my students bring in snacks that are really meals and high calories at that. One girl sticks out and is already too large for her age. Her parents are obese and I'm sure she will be soon as well.
You'd be surprised how often I have been bashed by the fat acceptance movement. Sorry, but I find nothing positive about being fat. When I was a bit chubby myself not long ago I didn't say "I'll accept it". Instead I lost the weight. A size 22 (like this woman attacking me online)is not small at all, it's obese unless she is something like over 6 feet tall.
Anyway, back on track but I envy those who have bigger hips. I always wanted bigger ones because they would have made my waist look smaller. My mom has no hips either or a butt (I don't have a big butt but mine is bigger than hers)and has to buy mens jeans.
