Actually, TJSmith, I would have to say that many famous people did phone sex including Whoopi Goldberg. I believe that 200 a day for an non-union film would be nice for someone starting off in the film industry. However, The canyons was not the best film to make your point. It feature James Deen who did it to break into mainstream films. I believe you are real but you need to explain yourself more.
Ahhh fair points all around. It did premiere in Venice (though rejected from Sundance and SXSW --- ouch!) so that has to count for something!
Basically all I'm saying is this. Yes, I get it, strip clubs are all about illusions. And yes I get it, 9 out of every 10 guys are pretty much looking to toy/bullshit a dancer into bed.
All I was asking was if I do meet a dancer who I think is amazing all around (good look and personality) and in that moment I think: "wow, you'd be really awesome for a film I'm casting" how should I approach the situation. It was an honest question not mention to stir up the shitstorm that occurred here. But as Doc pointed out, the internet is full of bullshitters so I guess the walls are up as high as the heavens.
But out of a ton do diva/bitchy/condesending answers, there are two I'll most certainly apply:
1) Approach a quality club's General Manager about the Casting
2) Create a professional flyer to be posted in the back room/changing area
