I changed and felt like it didn't affect my earnings in the begining but now i wonder if it's why I'm in a slump.

Im a black girl that just recently went from black to honey blonde hair. Did pretty good for my first time back at a club i hadnt been at for awhile. I did better and also noticed ppl couldnt guess my nationality. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I've had my hair bright red, bright orange, brown, blond, and natural red while working and it doesn't seem to matter.

I just dyed my hair a firey orange-red and my earnings have gone back up ^_^ I've also decided I'm never attempting a pastel hair color again while I'm still dancing lol.

^ I just bought this stuff called Redkin Extreme Strength Builder Plus, it's a weekly protein treatment. My hair is over processed and I was told this is one of the best ways to fix major damage. It's also dye safe. I was told to leave it in for about twenty minutes with a shower cap on. And it only costs like 17 bucks :D

Redkin is a great upgrade from drugstore brands, but if you can afford another upgrade, Shu Uemura Ultimate Remedy is amazing. There's another thread about it somewhere on SW but I refused to buy it because I'm cheap and it's 2x what I was comfortable paying on haircare. I only caved when a stylist used it last time I got my hair cut. She didn't even need to upsell. I felt the difference and said, "OMG, my hair feels like hair again." If it cost $100 I still would have bought it.

The longer my hair is the more money I make. My hair just recently past my tits and my earnings have gone up compared to three inches ago. ^_^

Q: What about blonde Asians? I'd do it for the money (or just to try it), but I feel like it will actually disappoint most men who want the stereotypical long-black-hair Asian look.

I've always wanted to try platinum but my hair is thin so I'm afraid that i'll melt/ break it by going too light.
When I dyed my hair green/ blue a few years ago, I used box bleaching set to lighten it first. After two sessions it turned a weird light brown/ orange. I wore a black wig at work, since i knew i'd lose money with green hair.

And I'm also worried it just wouldn't look good with my skin color.

I just got my hair professionally done for the first time in forever. And it came out perfect. That was yesterday, so I don't know that I can attribute any change in money to change in hair right now, but I did make $500 on a pretty dead day shift.

I'm in love with my stylist though. I know I was in here a few months ago freaking about about accidentally having dyed my hair wine colored. That finally inspired me to go to a professional and right off the bat she got me the color (very gingery copper red) I had been going for for nearly a year trying at home. It was expensive (especially with the product I ended up buying) but it was worth it. I'm definitely gonna stick with professional color and cut from now on.

Why not try on some wigs in the colors you like, & see how they look on you?
Box color is not good. Really it's meant for virgin hair & for color changes a shade or so. It turned orange b/c there wasn't strong enough color/perxoide to lift it to the blond level you want.
You could also have a consult w/a stylist. Sometimes salons sell wigs so you can do both @ the same place

Yinyang, it sucks but a general rule of thumb in the industry is that if you can look 'exotic' (gross to think of humans as exotic but that's how customers think) you should play it up. Customers love tropes.

If you want to change things up without losing your category, ombre's still a thing. Wigs are always an option too like whirlerz said.

Wearing hair extensions is a surefire way to make more money. I don't know what it is about long hair, and flipping it around on the stage and during dances, that totally drives men crazy. They love it. However, it could also be that I like the way long hair looks on me and therefore i make more money because I am more confident. It could be the placebo effect essentially. But either way, hair flipping is definitely sexy, especially if you can do it in slow mo.

I'm sure anything works if you own it and it fits your persona. That being said, I've heard that guys favorites are 1) super long (like past boobs) and 2) chin-length bobs.

I am Asian, and I've been wondering this myself. I only stripped with light brown/blond hair. I was hoping to let my hair grow back out to dark and long. I wonder how I am going to handle the roots because my bleached hair is so damaged to the point that color doesn't stick anymore LOL!

That.. looks really awesome lol! I will totally look into it. Thanks! Now the challenge is finding the colorist who can do a good job with that.

The blonder I get the more my $ goes up. I'm more confident when I'm blonde.

Yes my money went up when I changed from blonde to brunette! Attitude changed. People actually take me more seriously!

Yeah, I'm naturally golden/ strawberry blonde and I went brunette and never looked back. I know a girl who wears a different wig every day of the week and she seems to do well for herself. What makes you feel sexy is what will make you money, even if your head is shaved bald and your armpit hair is dyed blue.

longer tends to work better for me. Though maybe it depends on the city? I once lived somewhere where the chin-length bob seemed to work better than longer hair.

I had blonde hair for awhile, but just recently switched to a dark, red brown color. I feel as if my earnings have increased significantly. I definitely feel i stand out more because i have light skin and light eyes with contrasting dark hair. A lot of guys seem more attracted to this look as well as it appears more exotic

I have long, honeyish blond, curly hair ( when straight it's nearly waist length in back , about 3 inches below my boobs in front). I lose about 2 inches when curly. Sometimes when I wear it natural (long, loose, slightly frizzy) I do well. But when I do well with it, I just want to keep wearing it that way because it's so low maintenance. (But I don't always do well with it).

I think when I let it dry naturally, then work a curling iron through it is probably my best look. I'm just too lazy to deal with it. Plus my hair is in good condition because I don't mess with it too much. I just keep growing it. I would love to have hip length, loose curls!
