Ive noticed that since ive got older that my hormones are going crazy and ive noticed that right before i start my period lately ive had panic attacks come on like real bad, then after i start they subside some so strange does anyone else feel this way. I wonder if there is something i can do to make them lessen during this time. I find it so odd, just started doing this for about the last yr or so and i kept track of it to see if it is same time and it always is day before.

Edited to add, it always seems to come on during a show or something too i try not to take off during this time because i need the money but sometimes i just have to log straight off, gets so bad sometimes i just cant do anything other than that when it happens. Working through one is hard and i cant stop the show sometimes if its a block, any input id appreciate for anyone dealing with the same thing. Thanks ladies.

My migraines are getting so bad I have to take breaks to puke . I detest pot but I'm seriously starting to think about trying to get my medical card to see if that helps because I can't function.

Thats awful, sorry youre going through that hope they go away. Feel better soon.

When I was in perimenopause, I went through that. The panic, and anxiety attacks were too much. I didn't know what was happening to me, because I never had them. I thought it was because living in the crowded city finally got to me. I moved to a quiet desert town, and my attacks became worse than ever. It wasn't until I did some research AFTER I hit menopause, that I realized that it was part of the deal.
Lucky for You that You can start taking bioidentical hormones to control it.
Just so You know, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Theyevaporate into the wind as soon as You start menopause.
Thank GOD!!!

I think i might have ehlers danlos syndrome which is making it rather hard to cam. I get a ton of soft tissue injuries from everyday activities like driving or sex or using a laptop. and then I have to be careful for weeks after each one while it tries to heal (sometimes they never fully heal). i already take most of the supplements recommended for it and they help but i still get issues.

I get frustrated since i think i could do more without this health issue.

This was the injections I saw, don't anyone watch if you're squeamish about needles:

http://www.synviscone.com/videos/kneevideos.aspx?video=6

It seems like it's for old folks because it's for people who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis which I assume is usually an old person problem, however I see not always:

What Causes Osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis usually happens gradually over time. Some risk factors that might lead to it include:

Being overweight
Getting older
Joint injury
Joints that are not properly formed
A genetic defect in joint cartilage
Stresses on the joints from certain jobs and playing sports.

Thanks glam im glad to hear they will subside but its so damn strange just over the last yr like this almost like clockwork every month. Sorry you went through that i know how bad it is im going through it so i can understand. Ive had them since ive been 21 but im 45 now and they worsen with this time lately. Maybe ill be lucky and they will diminish when i go through it all and it ends, thanks for taking time for this to answer me im glad im not alone and theres some answer as to why and some hope of it ending soon. Hugs to you.

Hello there!.. glad you are starting to feel better.. .. I haven't made bone broth in awhile.. you can roast the bones first but I never have.. just put a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in with it and don't overcook it for so long.. I heard that was not good .. I forget why..lmao.. but that's it.. put in some veggies.. no salad leaves it makes it bitter..

Looks like I'll have to be careful with it since I have a compromised immune system.

Yes that's what I meant by don't overcook so long.. what that article stated... you can also buy a protein powder drink made out of bone broth, I just bought the chocolate flavored one.. Made by Dr Axe I think it's called ancient nutrition. http://ancientnutrition.com/ its expensive though

I wrote out this long blurb about everything going down, then erased it. Felt good to type out. I have to keep remembering I will be fine and I'm getting much better. Some days you can't win them all, but don't let it break yourself.

Well now I know what my problem has been lately.. just got my lab results this morning. My TSH is in the DIRT!.. 0.27!... I started supplementing with thyroid glandulars and my mineral protocol.. and I went from 2.58 to 0.27 in 8 months!.. holy mackerel!.. I have been feeling jittery shaky , overwhelmed, stressed..irritable.. mental!.. all kinds of crap!.. not really realizing that I didn't need the thyroid glandulars anymore.. I wasn't losing weight so I kept taking them.. I backed off of them some but still to much.

Great thread. Good to know there are girl out there struggling as well!

I have crohns and 3 years ago it was so bad I couldn't work at all. I weighed maybe 100lbs, couldn't eat or get off my couch. My dr was a moron. Over the course of a year I needed 5 blood transfusions and was still anemic. He didn't do anything but give me iron pills and order blood work, which ironically my pcp was the first to look at me and say...."you don't look right, I'm order blood work." Never once changed my meds so I asked my pcp for a referral for a new GI and she found me a great one and changed my life. I am on a biologic infusion drug that I get every 8 weeks and my symptoms are al oust 100% gone and I e been in remission for almost 2 years.

Besides that I also get severe migraines. To the point where I vomit and have to be in a completely dark and quiet space with ice on my head. I've been getting them for almost 8 years and they were so bad I'd go to the ER. I've been on maxalt and Percocet for a while now and although that helps very much, between the drugs and the migraine I'm wiped out completely! One of the reasons I made the transition from dancing to mostly cam. The lights and noise and late nights are too hard on my body. I finally feel like an almost normal human for the first time in 15 years I don't want a set back.

It's really hard to be bubbly and sexy on cam when I just spent the last 4 hours battling a raging migraine. Anyone else with crohns or migraines?

My new dr wanted me to try topomax but my friends have warned me against it. One was losing hair which I just finally grew back after either my crohns or one of the multiple drugs had it falling out, and another said she lost 20lbs! I just gained all my weight back and can't afford that either. My dr told me weight loss was pretty common.

*Raises hand. I do. I get migraines.
I also wake up with a headache most everyday.
For the migraines I take 800-1600 mg Ibuprofen, or 2 Butalbital.
Mine are caused from not only staring at the computer screen, but from degenerative disc in my cervical spine area.
It is what it is, ya know. But I'm looking for a new medication to take, so if you have any recommendations, id love to hear about it.

I get migraines too. They only started in the past couple of years. One thing I found that seemed to make them happen less often was magnesium oil spray. i bought one called "better you magnesium oil spray" in a blue and white bottle. when i was taking that consistently, i definitely had less migraines. the other thing i found that helped was the MOMENT you think one's coming in (for me i sometimes see the floor wiggling or something weird) take anti-inflammatories, that helps me but i dont know if thats specific to mine because mine are often across my face. i hate them, i end up puking and going to bed, they can take out 1-2 days. i think mine are linked to my nose quite honestly after a repeated trauma to it.

Oh, yeah, that spray. I bought that too. I thought it would help my neck pain when it got cold last winter. But it never really got cold, so I haven't used it.
I didn't know it was good for preventing migraines. Thank You for that info.

I don't know how often you take the ibuprofen but if you a taking it daily, stop! after seeing a neurologist when I was first getting migraines years ago, I was also taking ibuprofen all the time. Not only will is wreck your liver but it actually causes rebound headaches. See a neurologist if you can since you have back issues causing them. Maybe toradol will work for you....its an anti inflammatory.

Ahh you get migraines with aura too! I hate those. The first time it happened it was freaking me out because it's like a blind spot. About the magnesium... And f you can find it, get the flakes and do a foot soak. Works tons better and faster. Mine are hormonal unfortunately so not much I can do. I've been able to knock the severity down by naturally balancing my hormones some but my Nuero also said people with autoimmune disease are more prone.
I puke too and sometimes up to 1-2 days before I'm dizzy and nauseous and tired before they actually hit. Brutal. I lose days as well but the maxalt and Percocet helps and I can function sooner now.

I am dealing with one now. Glad I at least got a couple hours of work in this afternoon because There is no way I can get on tonight :-\

I just suffered a horrible period and possible PCOS that I need to get evaluated for. Right after my cycle ended, on came a flu bug. I weigh just below 180 lbs now. I was 195 in August. I suffered from really bad migraines that caused me to throw up and I basically had to stay in bed and sleep it off because it was extremely painful and no one understands unless they have had them. Stress and diet are the main culprits for mine. I don't eat any dairy, gluten or most grains and I hardly get them anymore. if anyone gets them I would suggest trying to eliminate those and see if you feel better .

I haven't had gluten or dairy in a decade because of my crohns and it didn't really put a dent in my migraines. It's funny how there are so many reasons and triggers and it's different for everyone. Glad you figured out how to minimize them!

I'm having a major depression, got diagnosted with Asperger's Syndrome (which I don't believe in, I'm totally the opposite of someone with A-Syndrome) and I got diagnosted as "uncapable to work" from my health (?) assurance which left me behind in a handicaped workshop some time ago. I quit because I got treated like shit and I got paid lesser than any prostitute out there. Also in this handicaped workshop I had the first thoughts to become a sex worker and after trying to make money as a cam girl it became my dream job (next to acting, which I can use in my cam shows hehe). I tend to eat lesser and lesser and I sleep a lot on the day while I can't sleep at night at all (Insomnia). Being a cam girl is not always funny so I hope that one day I can go back to work in a normal job again without any circumstances like I had before in every job I've had.

I have never bought it i was going to but i searched the product for reviews and there were alot of bad ones so i went against it. I usually use a memory foam pillow with the gel pads on it to sleep get horrible hot flashes at night alot. It seems to help my neck while sleeping. Sorry couldnt be much more help on it glam maybe someone who uses it will be able to give their opinion. If you buy it and try it let me know how it is, the cost is a little high for me to risk it unless its cheaper than it was when i looked in past. haha

Thanks for your input Chelly. I didn't even check the reviews , so thanks for mentioning that.
It is rather pricey , I agree. $100 for 2 and 2 small ones.
* I WOULD like to know who does his marketing, because they are brilliant! Putting that pillow in my face at every turn.

Joining sick girls club. I'm def. sick but I still don't know what is wrong with me. I'm having anxiety, sometimes depression, can't sleep right, can't gain weight although I eat a lot plus whey protein, I'm tired of life, my skin has breakouts, I feel mt gut has issues and my hands and feet are cold, also I get heated up a lot if it's only a little hotter than usual, like I'm in the fucking menopause, my hair and nails are weaker than before. This is my state for a 2 years and I was sure it's something about thyroid gland, but my checks were fine and tomorrow i'm gonna check it again. I have health insurance but it's a joke, doctors are idiots that don't care at all. I'm gonna pay from my pocket to check it out, but shit, this life... So tired of fighting symptoms without knowing the cause. Someone said to me it due to stress, but is stress so powerful that can make my body suffer that much? I tried so much stuff, I take care of myself as much as I can, I read all scientific and medical articles about thyroid and I'm sure something is going on there. I hope I'll have luck tomorrow and my new doctor is serious.
And regarding this thread, I cam and I fake it a lot. Money makes my stress levels low and puts smile on my face. But I'm imagining that if I was healthy my work would be so much more productive and profitable. Being sexy while you feel ugly and shitty is hard. I have pretty face but with breakouts I need a lot of make up and I still don't feel fully comfortable when my face is on cam bcs when I look in the mirror I wanna cry how bad my skin is.

Yes, I know all about it, just failing to find right doctor. Tonight I'm having appointment with doctor. Did you have those kind of issues?

Well I started off with Hypothyroid, and then I took to much Thyroid Glandulars and now I am in the hyperactive mode.. so yea I know what it feels likes to a certain extent.. My tsh was 2.58 and went down to 0.27.. so my doctor wants new labs to be done in 6 weeks to see what my level will be then... And I did have the heat tolerance from taking to high a dose of thyroid glandulars.. it was UNBEARABLE.. I didn't know how I was going to get through the summer.. completely didn't even think it was the glandulars.. I just knew something was not right.. and I live in Florida .. thank god I figured it out.

Hello lovelies,

After what feels like a lifetime away I am finally starting to get myself organized again so I can return to camming.

I am going to have to take it super slow so I don't get overwhelmed because I have been away so long and I now lack a good set of coping skills. I am pretty much starting over again and to tell you the truth it is kind of scary. :O

I wanted to ask you all about self-care and camming habits so I could make sure I had list of ideas to put in my mental toolbox.

So, how do you keep yourself mentally healthy while camming? Do you have a set of rituals or do you set goals in a certain way? What sorts of things as a sick girl do you need to do to help keep you to stay consistent on cam?
