Just wanted to vent a bit, so angry at my body this week. I was so hopeful I was going to be able to make a good paycheck and get some bonus $ but at this point there is no use in trying now since I lack too many hours to make it up before the pay week ends.
3 days of migraines, waking up with them so even though I have meds (couple forms of triptans, nasal, pills, and a shot if it gets too bad) when they get a jump on me like that it can ruin my whole day. I have severe ones sometimes with vomiting and even when the pain and nausea stop I still have weakness and brain fog.
Lately my preventative meds have stopped working at all so I just have to treat them when they happen. I've tried so many things over the years (had these from my earliest memory at 4 years old and likely before).
My doc prescribed the new CGRP drugs, first tried to get Nurtec but my insurance doesn't even cover it at all, then tried to get the Emgality shots, waiting to hear back.
I just want to be able to work, it's ridiculously disappointing when I set a goal for working x number of hours and never can manage to reach it.
I think I need to face the fact that I need to give up depending on live camming so much and switch my focus to things I can do when I'm not at 100% like texting, phone sex and more passive income. I've made some progress on it, need to keep going now until I can get the majority of my money that way.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well this week. Camming is a tough gig, even when we are feeling well. Being sick makes it incredibly harder.
I hope they get back to you about the shots. Hopefully they will help.
I'm disappointed not to get the bonus too. I've been sick off and on this week. My body can't tolerate pushing too hard right now.

Migraines are the worst. I'm really sorry to hear it's been so tough :(
I hope you get the meds you need & deserve.

I swear I think you ladies have brought me luck!
My meds are approved! I'm taking the first shots Sunday, double dose of Emgality then single dose monthly. I have a deductible of $6,900 so I was expecting them to just apply it toward that, but I had enrolled in a manufacturer program that is supposed to cover the first 6 months of treatment.
Freaking things are $1450.00 for two shots so without the help I couldn't have afforded it, but my insurance actually approved it and covered it before the deductible with a copay of only $50 and then the manufacturer program covered that!!! I'm so relieved. Was worth wading through the months of red tape and tangling with the insurance company.
Side effects are a bit scary but some people don't get them so I'm hoping to be one of the lucky ones with only mild or no side effects. (and besides at this point its scarier not to try it since the damn migraines are disabling me these last few months).
Thank you for the good thoughts and well wishes. I feel like the good energy actually helped me get this approved, had been trying for months!

Almost afraid to say this out loud and jinx myself, because I've tried so many migraine preventatives over the years, (antiseizure meds, antidepressant meds, acupuncture, herbs, cephaly) with little results. Emgality so far has been nothing short of a miracle. I did have some mild itching for 2 days after but none since. My doctor said since it was mild and went away on it's own I can just take some Benadryl before the shot next time.
It's only been one week but I have had zero migraines. That in itself is a huge improvement since I was getting at least two a week and always woke up with a mild headache that would often blossom into a full blown migraine. The worst part was the constant nausea and brain fog, ugh...
I had gotten so used to feeling bad that I didn't realize I was having constant head and ear pressure. Its GONE. Pretty surreal to realize I'm relieved of symptoms I didn't even know I had. I feel so amazing and have so much energy now. I guess my body was using up all it's energy fighting the pain and nausea. I've gotten more done in the last week than I usually can in a month.
I'm so excited to see how much money I can pull in now that I'm not so disabled with that pain. Really hoping this continues to work for me.
Apparently over time you can develop some resistance to it but there are two other treatments that use the same mechanism that just came onto the market so if I do then I'll switch to another.
It's a crime how much this treatment costs though - $1450 for the first round then $725 a month after if you have to pay in cash. Its so effective so far though I'd find the money if I had to.
(I feel so fortunate that my insurance covers it with only a $50 deductible due). They have a program from the drug company for those without insurance but you have to be near poverty level to get it covered it seems. Hopefully in the future they will come out with generics.

This will be really useful to so many people.
Migraine is in my family down the female side, for the last 7 or 8 years mine have been infrequent and workable. I take sumatriptan at first signs, go through the horrible aura visual disturbance phase then can usually function albeit a little tired. Had my first in over 1 year recently, took the medication and cleared up within 1 hour.
I know something about how bad it can be, had them very badly in teens and of course family members debilitated.
Scariest for me was when the combined pill started triggering daily attacks, I mentioned the attacks to my GP (UK personal Dr) just on a visit for something else. I was told to ease immediately because migraine with aura + combined pill = high stroke risk.
Speaking of illness wish I had seen this sooner, could have had some sympathy for the probably 2 x colds I had at once a few months back. First time camming with a cold, terrible on several days. Learned I need to make sure I keep up with sleep, no-one else in close contact had symptoms, tested myself multiple times for Covid-19 and all tests taken by contacts were negative. I just suffer a lot!

I used a cooling neck wrap, like this one. It helped me more than anything.

This week was the first time I have dealt with unbearable joint pain. Primarily my hip (had surgery on it when I was 3). Before when the weather would change- temperature changes or right before it would rain it would be a dull annoying ache that I could tune out. Monday I had to take off to wrap myself up in an electric blanket and the heating pad on my hip.
Tuesday I thought I was good and for the most part I was until I did a doggystyle riding show and I wanted to cry, hopefully my groans sounded like moans to him. I took ibuprofen and then realized that I had ran out of turmeric. I had been taking it to help prevent depressive episodes, didn't realize that helps with inflammation.
Anyone on here suffer from joint pain and what do you do to alleviate it- supplements, certain types of exercise?
If this continues I am thinking of arranging my work schedule around the weather and of course seeing a doctor.

I have knee joint pain every day. I was told that I needed a knee replacement 3 years ago but being alone, I don't know how I would swing it.
Are you taking turmeric pills or liquid? I buy the liquid at Costco and I find that it helps with inflammation much better than pills.
Another thingthat helps a lot is my stationary bike. My pain gets much worse if I slack off on it. I also do some simple stretches before getting out of bed. That helps with stiffness.
If customers want me to do a particular thing that hurts me, I tell them I physically can't. I have rarely had anyone try to push or leave because of it. If they did, I wouldn't want them as customers anyway.
I'm finally giving in to cortisone shots next week. I have been avoiding them for a long time. I will let you know how that goes.

I am taking turmeric in pill form- I'll pick up the liquid to see if that works better for me.
I do yoga in the morning on the days I work or make content, and walk when it's nice. There is a bike in the fitness room in my building-so that could work :)
Someone recommended to me to take glucosamine chondroitin with msm.
This is the first time that it really kicked my ass. Hoeing ain't easy :D
Hope the cortisone shots work well for you!!!

I used to take glucosamine chondroitin with msm and it did help some but stopped working after awhile. I think it's all individual and I hope it helps you. The turmeric liquid is not cheap but I'm sure you can return it if it doesn't help.
I think staying active is the best thing for joint problems.
I guess this means our days of stripper poles and Pleaser heels are over. haha

I'm better now. I made a goal for myself to exercise at minimum 5 times a week-moving my joints :D
I've been doing it in the morning using the exercise bike in the fitness room. My best guess is that it took some time for the turmeric to get back into my system. I picked up a higher dosage of it.
I talked to my Dad about the joint pain and he told me that my Grandmother had him pick Tylenol Arthritis when her joint pain flared up. I took that for a couple of days when the pain was bad.
The memories of my Grandma is a good motivator to exercise and be active. The doctors got onto her on the regular about exercise- she had multiple knee and hip replacements. For decades, she sat in her recliner and that is no way to live.
As far as hoeing goes I am modifying what I do on cam. Cushions are good for the joints :) and I am looking into lighter weight heels :)

That's great, I'm happy to hear you're doing better.
Yes! Exercise helps and I'm glad the turmeric is starting to help. I went for a walk today and it felt really good. I can understand why people get sedentary, not realizing that moving keeps your joints lubricated and more flexible. I've been looking for something to take when it's bad because I can't take anti-inflammatories. Thanks for the suggestion about Tylenol Arthritis.
My mother in law was just like your Grandma. She never got out of bed.
I have been trying to find a comfortable position on cam too. It's hard to be comfortable and look sexy at the same time;D.

Maybe we should charge extra for the effort we put into looking sexy and being comfortable on cam }:D

Back in 2010 I had a nose job and it became infected. I could not get rid of the infection for like 7 months. Then I got chronic tonsillitis and had my tonsils removed. The wound had trouble healing. Eventually I did heal and I started working in a kitchen. My badly throat hurt for awhile. Then for 4 years I started working in kitchens as a cook mostly. I started feeling increasingly ill, chronic fatigue getting constant sore throats. Eventually I ended up getting severe stomach ulcers on top of it.
I ended up dancing and camming full time because of my chronic health problems. A couple months ago I lost my voice for three weeks, and had a severe sore throat, i could almost feel my heart stoppinh. Recently I started getting on vitamins and changing my eating habits which helped allot. I also use holistic approach for my constant sore throats such as drinking apple cider vinegar, making a green tea with ginger, lemon, and manuka honey in it. That prevents bacteria from getting the best of me. i still feel fatigue a few times a week.

Greetings, fellow sick girls!
I just started camming again after a ten year hiatus. Chronic illness has caught up with me, and I can't face the long, grueling process of applying for social security disability knowing it would at most get me about $800/month if approved.
I'm perimenopausal now, and have a better sense of my own boundaries. I expected to be killing it on SM.
The trouble is I can't stay on! My longest day so far was 2 hrs 20 min, and I was baffled looking at the report -- it felt like 5! ( And yes, that's the total time, not customers' time.)
So I made $170 that day, and just under $400 for the week.
A couple hours' stream time three days a week. I'll make rent. And maybe by next month I'll have streamlined things so I can stay on longer, or posted some video content.
I do put a lot of time into other aspects, and I try to give myself credit for that. I think a lot of of us have worked for employers who acted like laying a solid groundwork was superfluous, something to do "on your own time"-- you know, the type who overpromise to clients, crack the whip hard on their tortured employees who warned them it wasn't a realistic deadline, and then underdeliver and blame you for it. Wow, that sounded so specific-- except it's happened so many times, with multiple employers!! Anyway, I think once you've been groomed like that, it's hard to shake the toxic attitudes.
So if that's you, give yourself credit for the work you do off cam, alright?! Just because the roi isn't readily apparent doesn't mean it isn't happening!
Be kind to yourself.

Wow, great post!
I'm in menopause with chronic health conditions.
Everything that you said really resonates with me in a deep way.
I've been camming for 13 straight years.
I USED to be able to do long hours ( 8-9) at a time.
Nowadays if I stay on for 3, it's a mini miracle, because 2 is all that I usually can take.
Last year I decided to take my social security (5 years early.)
And thank God that I did.
Just knowing that I have that monthly payment takes so much financial pressure off of me.
I've had to take a good hard look at ways to cut my expenses and not push myself.
I was getting burnt out.
6 years ago I moved out of a very expensive city to a small town which had cheaper rent and a lot more space.
I've had my car paid off since 2002.
Sadly it just died, so I'm facing the possibility of a car payment ( the horror). Luckily there's no rush since I work from home and don't drive much.
Just wanted you to know that I'm here in solidity with you.:ill::hug:

^Yes, Voltarin is good. In my experience, the generic works just as well and is much cheaper. There's a dosing card included but I don't use it. For me, using less works well.
I have also been doing self massage, which has helped my knee pain immensely. I'm learning from this lady on YouTube.

We're opposite, I'm about to have a car for the first time in over a year! My advice is not to wait as long as I did getting wheels again ;D
I moved to the outskirts of a city thinking I was close enough, but I realized too late I don't get the walking-distance amenities of the city proper OR reasonable rent of a small town >:(. I've often thought since I can't afford to live in the (real) city, I should move to a small town, but I'm not seeing anything too appealing there either.
Anyone moved recently and have better ideas where to look? Craigslist used to have awesome, unique situations like MIL suite in someone's back yard, cabin in the woods, things you wouldn't see on a site like Trulia or rentals.com. Now it's so thick with scams it's useless.
I know the housing market is rough, but there are always going to be those outlying opportunities. I just have to figure out where to look for them. I'm super excited to have a car again so I can cruise around looking for places with "for rent" signs that I would have missed!

Luckily I moved to a town that has all the conveniences a block away.
And 2 gorgeous parks 1 block away in both directions.
If I want Starbucks, Sephora, and all the high end designer stores, that's 2 blocks away.
No need for a car really, as I work from home and rarely go out.
I just cancelled my auto insurance and will be selling my car.
If and when I feel the need to get out of town, or go somewhere far, I'll get a used (reliable) car.

Noice! I would love that, a frickin Sephora and Starbucks two blocks away? There's motivation for an evening walk. (Oh and the parks too).
If I lived somewhere like that and was done with all the doctors appointments, I'd probably ditch the car too and ride a bike. Or a moped!
I found out that a good place to look for housing rentals when you can't get out and explore physically, is property management websites. I looked at around ten of them, and they all list the properties they have for rent... But only a couple were posted anywhere else. I guess normally listing properties on more visible sites would be part of their service to the owner, but with the housing market all Corona'ed up, they don't really have to.
People find them. And if they don't, like me when I moved here, they just assume $1300/mo for a 1 br in a complex is how it is unless you want the place with all the roaches and curious stains and odors.
Now that I have found a few more options, I feel better turning in my move-out notice.

My grandma is my motivation, too. She had a king-size bed, and she would sit up in it half the day watching TV, unless she was in the living room in that recliner. I would watch old reruns with her, and we'd play "War"-- the most simple card game known to humanity. She never tried to teach me anything more challenging, probably because we both had ADHD. I didn't have the patience to learn quickly enough for her to have the patience to teach me ;D But I think of that bed as a prison, and moreso every day that I'm stuck in bed too tired even to sew or craft, or anything but watch TV.
That's awesome that you are back into exercising! Even the littlest bit makes such a difference! I remember this study they did in people in a nursing home. It was believed that the body gradually lost its ability to produce new muscle tissue as we age, but the study proved that wrong. They did simple exercises without special equipment, like arm curls while holding a can of soup, and they all gained some amount of muscle by the end of the study.
Partly I'm writing this to remind myself that if I can't do a full set of my physical therapy exercises, even five reps of one of the ones that helps most is worth doing. At the very least, you reinforce your muscle memory. And sometimes five reps ends up two sets of ten, or two exercises, or more.
Also, GOOD physical therapy is amazing. I kept hurting myself and backing off exercise because my joints are loose/ hypermobile. My muscles were up for it, but I'd end up limping if I did stretches or jumping motions. This last PT explained so much about the mechanics of my body, and I pay minute attention to what hurts and helps now and don't feel bad about cutting out certain exercises based on that-- they gave me plenty of options.

Awww... your Grandma sounds like she was fun :)
I definitely notice when I exercise I feel better. I kind of slacked last week- only exercised twice last week- because I was catching up on to-do's. Currently the joint pain has improved for me.
It sounds like you got a really good PT and that you are listening to your body which is really important. It sounds like you are on a good track :)
As far the lady stuff- I can relate- I've been taking a new supplement to see if it helps improve PMS symptoms. I have like two good weeks out of the month, then I am trash lol- fatigue, cramps, and just feel blah. So far the supplement helps give me more energy- as long as I have a good nights sleep.
I wish we could give these behind the scenes perspective on what goes on behind the scenes when we aren't camming- because it's a lot of fucking work lol

I'm happy to hear that your joint pain has improved! Mine has too. Self massage has helped more than anything. Exercise? Not lately but it does help. LOL

My familu has a bug. Cold sores and sore throat. No covid. It is killing my throat to do my kind of fake girly pso voice. Halls is not doing it. Chamolile tea is not. Honey, nope.
I am just suffering through. It feels like someone is sand papering my throat, no fever. And my nasal passages are burning. Any advice that can work with benzos and not kill me would be great.

Call local realtors as agents also are like property managers in some cases. I have found rentals through them. Just ask if anyone has any rentals listed with them, price range you need. They get comission so they will get you in asap if you can afford it.

I just moved to an area that I learned has a place called "The salt room" and they offer massages, yoga and sessions where you relax in an actual room of salt! I'm so freaking excited! I see they have a store to offering sooo much amazing stuff from what I can see in their photos. I need to make a day to stop in and definitely set up an appointment for a massge IN the salt room cause they offer that to! I'm so freaking excited. I've always heard of places like this but never actually lived only ten minutes from one!

After years of chronic pelvic pain that I have been trying to cam through since 2014, maybe 2013, I got approved for a total hysterectomy a month after I turned 33. I feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me, physically at least... I will still have to keep up with physical therapy for pelvic floor disorder, but the things triggering it should be taken out. Only problem is, I'm still healing from my last pelvic surgery and have less than two months to prepare for the next. It has been a hell year, my savings are gone, my debt is up, and I've had to ask for outside help for the first time in my adult life. Planning on getting an over the bed table so I can do above the belt asap, and looking into PSO, chat and even vanilla freelance work. However, my gyno says mentally it could be up to 8 weeks before I can really handle working. Has anyone else dealt with a total hysterectomy and needing to work? Past links appreciated. I've been trying to scour but the healing brain fog is real!

I'm so sorry you are in this rough situation. No hysterecomy but have had to take several weeks off for a different illness.
There are many things you could do above the belt for making clips. Mouth fetish, lipstick, ASMR, hand fetish, etc. That would at least be some passive income, in addition to PSO and the other ideas you mentioned.
I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and recovery.

I thought it might be nice to have a thread for the girls who have any sort of physical or mental handicap that makes camming especially challenging to have a place to be able to discuss the things that 'healthier' camgirl's don't ever really have to think about or put up with.
For example, right now my health is so unstable that I've gone from making over $100 a day to $30-$40 a day. Since this is such a big ego scar to me I keep pushing myself to work harder instead of taking the time to rest and of course it just leaves me ever more burnt out.
It's taken me half a year to be able to emotionally deal with the fact that this is my income level right now and that there are a lot of things I am just going to have to do without because I just can't afford them anymore and that things will not ever change or get better until I take the same passion I used to drive myself into the ground working into resting like a mofo. ;D
What do you find is your biggest challenge when it comes to camming? Back problems? Anxiety? Staying awake? Headaches? How do you deal with being unwell when camming?
As a party dancer, I know firsthand how much pain we can suffer. I am currently dealing with neck pain, which comes and goes a few times a year for a couple of months at a time. The first step is to be aware of the problem and remind yourself that the pain will eventually go away. If you want to make it go away faster, you can try some treatments or seek medical help. I use CPAP products like contour cloud pillows for my relief. The pillow is one of the most effective ways to reduce neck pain. This pillow has helped me prevent and treat neck pain for more than a year, and I know it can help you too. Guys, don't suffer in silence - there are products and treatments out there that can help you. Best of luck!

wow that's a great tip. i've always lived in cities or college towns where getting around everywhere was easy or everything just centrally located. I'm big into cycling... I don't drive at all due to attention issues and a lifelong phobia of cars (sounds crazy I know.... until half your family dies in a car accident then like so many things it becomes simply prescient). MAYBE one day, once I can afford a Tesla then I will get one as they dont pollute the environment. There are a bunch all around my city now too, one outside my window rn.
Stay strong, girls. Science is moving quickly and there is always hope.

Thanks for the correct. ADD and ADHD is such a struggle. It's hard to have a stable job too having it. I hope you make a lot :).
Hoping the nursing route works out for me.
All we can do is push forward despite the BS life throws at us :)
Turns out I'm an AuDHDer...Autism and ADHD. Explains so much now. Wish I had had support earlier in life but then again I would have stayed in academia and not have found out about the things Im doing now which make me happy. I would have eventually left academia anyway... WAY too much BS.
I know it's hard, good luck!!

I've been forced to cam so much this week and even more so since SM is just simply a ghost town. I literally had to throw myself offline to throw up. I'm in so much pain. So much fucking pain. I feel so freaking sick. I'm so stressed and worried and wish I could just do PSO work and live life that way on my couch but I have to toss camming in and with how horrible it has been, I dont know what to do. I have pushed myself past my breaking point and now I want to just curl up and die. I fucking hate having Fibro and Lupus and other issues. I've even been in menopause for a year which is just horrible! I dont know how people live like this! Its so hard! And I dont have anyone but me! My dad refuses to even acknowledge it and he lives in another state. And like thats all I have. I dont even have friends check in on me. Like nothing!
